Ascot House Apartments

The location, the size of the rooms, lots of parking and a slight issue with our booking but it was resolved pretty quickly

Easy to get to, well located - if you’re a Burghley Horse trials goer, great parking, shops and nice pubs nearby

Very minor niggles. The blinds cord was broken in the lounge, the window latch was on the brink of falling off, not much cutlery, but generally, it was very nice, and would definitely come back to stay again next year.

Was easy to find lots. With lots of parking making it very accessible for what we needed. Staff on reception were friendly and helpful. Would return to this property

The bed was very from, which did lead to a slightly uncomfortable nights sleep. The same with the sofa. The stay would be excellent had the bed been more comfortable

Clean and got everything you need in it

Sofa was very uncomfortable to sit on! And with three of us it wasn’t easy to be comfortable. Blinds broken and window ill fitting, and shower which is part of the bath wasn’t working

Windows dirty, floors and carpets definitely not throughly cleaned. I picked up clumps of hair from carpet upstairs and swept the kitchen on arrival

The reception was open 24/7 and very understanding when we came to them regarding issues with sofa beds, noise during the night etc.

Loud music, screaming, shouting, swearing by other guests late at night (which we were told was a 1 in 10 occurrence).

Very comfortable beds. Lovely and spacious.

Minor isssues: Curious window with no curtain or blind between living room and the single bedroom. Curious constant humming noise. Only 1 dork in the cutlery drawer. No frying pan.

Spacious rooms could have had another wardrobe in the other room 🤔. Blinds hard to do if small .we had to stand on sofa yo shut too to get changed .but will stay again .

Really good price with plenty of space, can not fault it. Will point out in terms of walking, you are some distance from any restaurants etc so may require driving.

Friendly, helpful reception staff on duty 24/7, we really appreciated their presence. The apartment was comfortable, clean, well-equipped and conveniently located.

A very small point - it would be nice to have salt and pepper in the apartments, in addition to the tea and coffee.

Front desk staff so nice

The stand out was the receptionist. I didn't ask for her name however she was very helpful and accommodating. My brother has learning difficulties and sadly when people meet him for the first time are either able to engage with him or simply aren't equipped to. Luckily for us, our receptionist was more than able. We were offered more than we needed and our expectations were massively superseded. The apartment is modern and bright with excellent facilities.

Not so much what we didn't like, the sofa bed had seen better times and the lights from the carpark are very bright and shine into the rooms. Also, as it is a busy location, you can't choose your neighbours but this can obviously happen anywhere at any time.

We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was great, and the host was friendly, responsive, and made check-in very easy.

The only downside was the bedroom layout. One bedroom had a proper door, but the upstairs bedroom was open and had no door, which meant there was very little privacy. This is something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with another couple or anyone outside your immediate family.

Just a few simple cleaning places missed. Crumbs and mess under the table. Windowsill needed wiping down. Sofa very uncomfortable! Springs had gone where people sat each end!!!

Lovely 2 bed appartment. All facilities, including lovely wine and bubbly glasses. Spotlessly clean. Fresh beds with crisps cotton bedding. Nice area to sit out and chill. Really have got perfect balance here.

The constant noise outside . I never slept because the noise of fans kept me awake . Unfortunately I wouldn't rent again

Property was spotless, rooms comfortable, great location and wonderful staff. We had some issues with our rental car while there and the staff went above and beyond what they needed to. We are so grateful and would definitely recommend Ascot House to everyone!

Ample parking on site. Two bathrooms meant we did not have to share All the staff we encountered were very friendly; Also considering the size of the complex, it was very quiet, we did not even hear any football noise,

We did drive around the industrial estate quite a few times before someone was able to guide us to the right entrance. Although it was clearly marked it is very easy to miss. There was no air conditioning but I expect that would not often be needed.

It’s in a quiet location and easy to find and park. There’s a little Tesco express 2 mins walk away for breakfast things etc. Very clean and pretty spacious too.

Not a comment about this property- more a comment about out customer service. We originally booked a place in Stamford where we weee having a family event. Then the property owner got in touch to tell us to cancel as they’d accepted a better offer on Airbnb for the same dates. Booking.com told us not to cancel and that they’d step in and sort it out and confirm with 48 hours. Heard nothing for the best part of 2 weeks. The next I heard with just a few weeks to go was an auto cancellation message from Booking.com and suggestion of an alternative miles away rated 3.1 / poor. In the meantime I was getting harassed by the property owner for not cancelling. So very poor service but the negative aspect is with Booking.com and not the property which was 20 mins drive away from where we intended but the nearest we could get at such short notice. Bizarre and really terrible customer service and communication. I have attempted to complain but it’s impossible to get anyone to engage - hence writing this on the off chance Booking.com actually read it.

Wifi was very poor, no air con, beds were not particularly comfortable.

Our 4th stay. The apartment is perfect for out weekend stay to go to the Global Birdfair. It's quiet, comfortable, clean and good wifi. The kitchen provides all we need for our stay. Convenient parking directly outside .

The clothes hanging provision is poor. Only a small area in one bedroom + non in the other. Manageable for 2 nights but noy really for any longer. Even a hanging area in the lounge or hallway on a wall would be something!

Nice apartments with central location. I had a 2 double bedrooms with 2 bathrooms that worked perfect. Tamy at the reception was amazing in helping and advising on local places. Will visit again.

Parking gratuit, c'est pratique. Chambre familiale très propre et très bien équipée. Le personnel était très aimable et serviable. Les tables de pique-nique à l'extérieur nous ont permis de dîner dehors, c'était top. A ne pas rater : visite de la ville de Peterborough à proximité, très sympa.

Suggestions : mettre des rideaux un peu plus occultant pour éviter d'être réveiller par la lumière du jour. Pour être un peu tatillon, une plus grande casserole et plus grande poêle en plus seraient appréciables et une chaise supplémentaire pour la chambre de 4 (où nous n'avions que 3 chaises).

Needs curtains as too much light comes in. There was no AC so really hot inside. Would have preferred to have complimentary water bottles as it’s cost over £100 a night. Finally inlet my AirPods in the room and when I came back to get them the cleaners said there were no AirPods there. Unfortunate to have dishonest staff working. For that reason alone I wouldn’t recommend your business.
