Riad Khadoj-Marrakech-Traditional

- Absolutely stunning Riad — beautifully decorated, incredibly spacious, and full of character ​ - Breakfast was fantastic — delicious, fresh, and such a lovely start to the day ​ - Perfect location — right in the heart of the Medina, walking distance to so many attractions and souks. If you want any Argan oil definitely check out Naturom for authentic 100% certified products. ​ - It does have a slight musty smell in places, but that’s purely because of how old the building is - completely understandable and it passes quickly

- Swimming pool is very small — nice to have, but don’t expect anything big ​ - Car park / luggage scam warning — The car park isn’t owned by the Riad, but the staff work closely together. They spoke in Arabic among themselves the whole time, knowing full well we couldn’t understand what they were saying — but their body language told us everything. The man at the car park offered to carry our luggage. When we asked the price, he said "Don’t worry — we are family, I know Khalid." He made it sound like a complimentary service. Only after dropping our luggage off did he demand 300 MAD — for something we could have easily carried ourselves. He pretended not to understand when we asked the cost upfront. ​ - Khalid then stepped in saying "just pay half" — it felt like a pre-planned arrangement, not a misunderstanding. I stood my ground and explained I will pay 50 MAD but any more is extortionate. Then we settled at 100MAD. ​ - Parking cost also changed on arrival — we were told around $4 per night, but ended up paying 170 MAD total for 2 vehicles. It felt like they assumed we had unlimited money and tried to charge whatever they could get away with. Again I don't want to say it was the Riads fault. But when you are speaking to one another in Arabic, its easy to assume. For future travellers beware. - Confirm ALL prices upfront and in writing — parking, luggage, everything. ​ - Don’t let anyone carry your bags unless you agree a clear price FIRST ​ - Be aware — if they start speaking a language you don’t understand and avoid answering direct questions, trust your gut ​ - Showers kept blocking and flooding — the water drained very slowly and would pool up, taking a long time to go down. It meant the bathroom floor kept getting wet and slippery - Rooftop has no view — surrounded by high walls, so you can’t see out. Good for sitting, but don’t come here expecting a vista

We had a lovely stay at the riad! Our family of 10 was completely comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. The host, cooks, and cleaner were so warm and attentive—the food and service were incredible. When our flight was unexpectedly cancelled, they kindly gave us an extra day, turning a stressful moment into a wonderful bonus. We couldn't recommend them more!

le Riad est conforme aux photos, très beau et agréable, super calme avec une terrasse ou chacun pouvait se détendre et apprécier la fraicheur du soir. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec toilettes et salle de bains privative( ce qui est appréciable en groupe).le plus est la clim dans chaque chambre (super pour se reposer et dormir, après les chaleurs de la jounée)petit dej copieux !!.en plein dans la médina! nous étions a qqs pas des souks et a 10mns de la place jemaa el fna. dépaysement total et plongée dans le maroc intense .je recommande fortement!!!!

Khalid met us with a smile at the parking lot nearby and gave us a tour of the riad before leaving. He was at our disposal the entire stay. Note: there are two parking lots near the riad. Khalid was initially waiting for us at the wrong one. Luckily our driver would not leave us until we were met by our host. The driver used my phone to call Khalid and instruct him to where we were waiting. Ask your driver to call Khalid with the specific location of where you are waiting.

The riad, host and cook were excellent! No complaints. The towels smelled a bit musty but that's so minor.

We were warmly welcomed by the team, and our employee Khawla is very attentive. She made us excellent breakfasts, was mindful of special requests, and went out of her way to keep the riad clean and organized. She is an excellent employee!

We were 11 people and I noticed that the room layout was different from what was advertised on Booking.com; the number of beds was lower... I felt a little cheated, but everything was resolved. They should describe EXACTLY WHAT THE ROOMS HAVE AND NOT ADD BEDS. I asked the manager for help on the last day, as I had a participant with reduced mobility who needed assistance, and he didn't show up. On the day of arrival, although everything was beautiful, some of the decorative items in the rooms and bathrooms needed to be cleaned better: they were dusty... the rooftop was dirty, but Khawla cleaned and organized everything, she’s amazing.

nella colazione era prevista la frutta che abbiamo chiesto anche più volte tramite messaggio,perchè la prima mattina non l'abbiamo trovata, ma non ci hanno mai risposto e non l'abbiamo mai avuta. ci dispiace perchè alcuni noi volevano solo la frutta a colazione.

Le Riad est très bien placé, au coeur de la Médina, proche des souks, des places principales, des taxis, des centres historiques tout en étant au calme. La literie est bonne, les chambres agréables. La beauté du Riad et la terrasse.Khalid est disponible et très réactif.

L'evacuation d'eau des chambres du bas.La cuisine n'a pas d'ustensiles adaptées pour cuisiner.Riad de 13 personnes, seulement 2 transats.

Un vrai riad bien entretenu,parfait pour un groupe jusqu'à 12 personnes ,emplacement central mais calme. Mais le point le plus positif est la personne qui nous a accueilli et un très grand merci a la cuisinière qui a été merveilleuse avec nous.

Het zag er zo prachtig uit en zo’n mooi dakterras! Het personeel zo lief en vriendelijk. Ontbijt heerlijk, 1 x avond gegeten en ons laten verassen, zalig! De locatie was top!

Klein puntje, de douchekop kop was klein en dunne straal waardoor wij - 9 dames lang onder de douche stonden om ons haar uit te spoelen.

Très bonne situation à 5 minutes de la place Jaama el fna et des souks. Prise en charge des transports à 5 minutes pour la majorité des activités sur marrakech. Un peu vieillot le riad à beaucoup de charme. Très bon repas possible sur place.

Pas de flexibilité possible pour l'horaire du petit déjeuner qui n'est pas compatible avec les activités sur marrakech. Il faut organiser un planning pour prendre les douches car la pression d'eau est défaillante.

La verdad que estaba todo bien

Très bien placé, à 10 min à pieds de la place Djama el fna, nous avons bénéficié de la totalité du riad (nous étions 11). Les chambres typiques sont très confortables malgré un petit bémol au niveau de la pression d'eau (on ne peut pas se doucher à 2 simultanément). Les petits déjeuners sont tout simplement extra avec les spécialités locales préparées sur place.

La pression d'eau qui demande à être vraiment plus importante.

Good, traditional accommodation in Medina. Helpful and friendly staff, lovely roof terrasse and large living - ideal for a group travelling together to spend time together. Nicely decorated rooms, good internet. Close to shops and restaurants but very quiet.

La limpieza no fue muy buena y el agua no se escapaba de la bañera amarilla, se lo comentamos pero no vinó para solucionarlo. El desayuno fue muy básico también.

O Riad é espetacular, ficamos hospedados um grupo de amigos , éramos 12 com o Riad só para nós. Ótima localização e fantástico pequeno almoço Adoramos ! Funcionários muito simpáticos e prestaveis . Recomendo este Riad para grupos ! Foi pena não podermos aproveitar o terraço e piscina mas o tempo esteve de chuva ☂️, se tivéssemos todo ☀️ainda tinha sido mais maravilhoso 😃 Vimos neve na montanha 🏔️ acho que não acontecia há mais de 50 anos 😃

We just returned from a short stay at Riad Khadoj. A beautiful Riad nestled away in the heart of Marrakech old medina, very close to all amenities, very good if you want to get your steps in. We travelled as a group of ladies with a baby, and we felt very safe and found the riad was perfect for our stay. The neighbourhood is quiet and away from all the hustle bustle. A short walk away from the khatoubia mosque. Due to arriving very early, we requested to drop our baggage off before check-in, to which Khalid was very prompt with his response and was very welcoming, not only did he allow us to drop our bags off few hours earlier, him and the lovely Kawla served us traditional tea and biscuits. Kawla, the housekeeper, was an absolute joy to be around. She was so warm with her big smile and served us some delicious breakfast, so helpful and kept the riad very tidy. The Riad is very traditional in its decore and has a lot of old features to the building. Although the staff keep the premises tidy and presentable, I do believe the owners could do some repairs to the tap on the ground floor, as it was abit loose, not that it ruined our stay there, as there is five on-suit bathrooms. The riad can accommodate up to 13 people, so big groups would enjoy a stay there, with five very well designed rooms with air-conditioning and on-suits. There is also a plunge pool on the terrace to have a cool dip if needed.

It was a bit difficult to find, but locals were so helpful, and after asking a few people, Khalid came and collected us from the area we ended up at, which was litrally around the corner.

We had a lovely stay at the riad with a group of 12 girls. Rooms are great. When the AC was working not well in one of the rooms, it was immediately fixed by the owner. Rooftop terrace is really a plus, great for sunbathing during the day or some chillings in the evening. Breakfast every morning was amazing, Ghoula was very helpful with everything, including all our questions about Marrakech!

There are not a lot of sun beds if you are with a bigger group. The pool is relatively small, but does offer a good moment of refreshment.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour entre amis ! Merci à khalid pour sa disponibilité et sa réactivité avec nous. Merci infiniment à la dame présente au Riad qui nous a fait des magnifiques petits déjeuners chaque matins.

Riad Khadoj is absolutely stunning and right in the heart of the city. El Badi Palace and Jemaa El-Fnaa Square are just 10-15 mins walk away. Beds were comfortable, and everything was spotless. The roof terrace was a perfect place to relax and soak up some sun. Breakfast was included and delicious. I would highly recommend!

The location was great inside the medina but still on a street not as busy as many others. The atmosphere in the riad was good. The breakfast was great.

Beautiful Riad, staff were very hospitable! Khawla was exceptional, lovely lady who made us feel very welcome and at home. She prepared a lovely dinner for us, tea and breakfast was great everyday. Very kind, approachable and helpful! Felt like she was one of the family! Khalid (our host) was very nice also and kept great communication with us throughout our stay. Convenient location as we were only a short walk away from taxi, shops and souks.

We were a big group and travelled in via minibus. Due to the location of the Riad, we were dropped off about 5-10mins walk away with our luggage. Not the worst thing but would have been nice to have been prepared for this as we came in early morning.
