Somos Hotel San Juan

I liked the location, close to a lot of restaurants, and the plaza. The attendant was very friendly and genuine. The room was clean and the environment felt welcoming.

The room was small but it had everything you can ask for. The walls are thin but it wasn’t an issue for me since I’m a heavy sleeper.

The owner is wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. He and his wife want to provide a nice experience. The upgrades that have been made to the property are nice.

The rooms are TINY - think smaller than an interior cruise room. Literally not enough space to lay out a suitcase other than on the bed. The bed was touching two walls. The stay was LOUD. There is no one working at night to tell guests to STFU. So we had loud talking and doors banging until 4am as people came and went from their rooms. There are 20 steps in the front door. Be prepared to carry yourself and any luggage up and down.

Size of room for the price

Super clean room, super comfy bed, great location within walking distance of La Placita and local Santurce attractions. Loved the locking mechanism as it's by personal code only (even to get into the BUILDING!!!) so it's perfect for solo travelers from a safety standpoint. Super cute lobby and decor all around the hotel as well.

Great hospitality, fast response, great coffe mechine, mini-refrig., windows can be opened for ventilation.

Can get a bit noisy during the night, I stayed for 4 nights, and in 2 of them woke up - maybe the location of my room was specifically problematic. Also note, there are some 20 stairs in the entrance with no elevator

Considerar que hay que subir escaleras largas sobre todo si el equipaje es pesado.

Solution de logement efficace, centrale, rapport qualité prix correct pour San Juan. Fontaine à eau à disposition dans le hall.

Chambre petite (certaines sans fenêtre, faire attention au moment de la réservation); isolation phonique limitée. Attention, baignade pas toujours possible sur les plages du Nord de l’île (courants forts et vent), privilégier certaines criques ou zones protégées des vents.

The location was great, the staff was super kind. Fun amenities like a photo/selfie room, workspace, coffee machine, ice machine in lounge.

I don’t know if it was because it was New Year’s Eve celebrations but my room was not cleaned not once during my stay. I left the sign on the door for a cleaning but it never happened. I had to request toilet paper one night when I returned and realized housekeeping hadn’t come to my room. Never experienced this while staying at a hotel, not even at a motel or hostel.

Brandon was wonderful and Jolie (spelling?) was delightful. Loved this quirky hotel! (Stairs were hard for us 'old ladies', but staff was helpful)

Las habitaciones son simples pero recien remodeladas. Muy limpias y buenas camas. El personal es muy amable. Fue un agrado estar en el hotel, por la limpieza, y comodidad de las instalaciones, así como por el personal que es realmente muy amable y ayuda en todo lo que puede. Subieron nuestras maletas del 2° al tercer piso, y al irnos nos ayudaron a dejarlas en el taxi. Geniales!!!

Al llegar hay una escalera de muchos peldaños que tuvimos que subir con maletas pesadas. Esto fue lo peor porque llegamos muy cansadas luego de varias horas de vuelo y a las 12 de la noche. Las habitaciones no tienen closet o armario para guardar ropa. Esto es incómodo porque uno necesita sacar aunque sea un poco de ropa de la maleta. Tampoco hay caja de seguridad.

The hotel itself was beautiful inside and out! I would stay here again if I come back to San Juan. The owner was super sweet and helpful. It’s in a great area, easy walking distance to Burger King, Wendy’s, Walmart and other local restaurants/shops. There is also a food truck park a few minutes away too.

Le style de l'hotel est vraiment chouette. Le salon commun est agréable avec les canapés et la table. Des jeux sont à disposition. Borne d'arcade, jeux de société, télé.. c'est très agréable.

Pour rentrer dans l'hotel il y a une grande montée en escalier, aucun ascenseur n'est prévu, et aucune aide. Donc nous avons dû nous débrouiller pour porter notre valise. Le jet de la douche est vraiment très faible, c'est assez difficile de se laver les cheveux pour une femme.

Spacious apartment, 2 bedrooms each with private bathroom. Balcony overlooking the main street. Free water and coffee machine. Places to eat and shop nearby. 10-15 minutes walk to the beach. Selfie room. We only spent 1 night at the property before boarding the cruise ship.

There are stairs to climb to reach the first floor, this can be challenging for older people, but we knew that from description so it was not a big issue for us.

The hotel was clean, in a great location and reasonably priced.

It is posted in the description that there is no elevator and you have to walk up a long flight of stairs to get to the lobby on the 2nd fl.

Clark was an excellent representative of this property. The area was a little run down but seemed safe. Rooms were clean and common areas well taken care of. Great tips on where to eat.

No elevator. Could hear the snoring in the adjoining room. The bass thumping in the nightclub next door was annoying.

The host Clark was exceptionally knowledgable, friendly and helpful. They have coffee available ANYTIME and it is included--very important for me.

More hooks to hang towels and clothes would be helpful!

The place is ok. For the price it isn’t worth it rooms should be $80 flat, hostel vibes. Tiny rooms, paper thin walls. I wouldn’t stay again.

Location is not bad. There’s a gay club next door didn’t hear the music but looked sketch.

Great location. Room and common areas were clean. The free coffee was actually pretty good.

Very small rooms and they’re not soundproof at all. I woke up one morning to the sound of my neighbor vomiting. We called the overnight support number and no one answered. I wouldn’t stay here again.

Not much Spanish but the only thing i did not like was the stairs out front.

Ha rispecchiato le mie aspettative! È una struttura molto accogliente, staff molto attento alle tue esigenze. Mi è piaciuto un sacco il design urbano e per un soggiorno di qualche giorno è più che perfetto. La camera era pulita e vi era tutto il necessario, come in foto! Poi la posizione ottima, tra Santurce e Condado e a pochi passi da una fermata autobus per raggiungere il centro storico di San Juan. Ho viaggiato da sola e mi sono sentita al sicuro! Davvero raccomando questa struttura. Semplice, accogliente e centrale!

Estuvo muy cómodo, las instalaciones muy limpias, muy acogedoras con todo lo necesario, el personal muy amable y la locación está muy bien. Me gustó bastante y sin duda volveré!! Muchas gracias!!

Tal vez que las habitaciones para una persona tienen las paredes muy delgadas ya que escuchaba todo lo que hacía la persona del lado, la escuchaba estornudar, etc. Pero no es algo que incomode mucho ya que la mayor parte del tiempo se está afuera conociendo y explorando.

Nos encantó la ubicación céntrica. El personal fue muy amable. El cuarto súper limpio y organizado. Hay mucho entretenimiento y restaurantes walking distance.

No nos gustó que los cuartos quedan extremamente muy cerca del pasillo, eso hace que a todas horas se escuchen conversaciones de los otros cuartos. Teníamos un evento que tuvimos que madrugar los 3 días y hubo una ocasión que no pudimos descansar bien por el ruido que ocasionaban los huéspedes y el personal brindándole la bienvenida. Si usted tiene el sueño profundo este hotel es Perfecto Para usted pero si tiene el sueño liviano como yo, la pasará muy mal.

La ubicación del hotel es excelente. Las habitaciones están impecables, aunque son un poco pequeñas (especialmente las dobles) y algunas carecen de luz natural. Sin embargo, el personal hace grandes esfuerzos por resolver cualquier inconveniente y hacerte sentir a gusto durante tu estancia.
