I was genuinely apprehensive about this trip, as a flash flood had struck the region just 20 days before my scheduled travel to Nepal. Despite the uncertainty, I decided to go ahead with my plans — and I'm glad I did, because the situation on the ground was completely normal, and my stay at Kailash Boutique Hotel turned out to be one of the best hotel experiences I've had in a long time. From the moment I arrived, the team went above and beyond. The manager, Mr. Dol, and support staff, Mr. Firoj, were exceptionally prompt and attentive in responding to every query I had. They arranged an airport pick-up service for me, which made arriving in an unfamiliar city stress-free. They also kindly upgraded my room without my having to ask, which was a lovely surprise. What really stood out was how far they went beyond standard hospitality — they helped me exchange USD to local currency and even assisted with installing a local ride-sharing app, both of which made getting around Kathmandu so much easier as a foreign traveler. The location in Thamel is excellent — central, walkable, and close to everything you'd want to explore. But it was truly the people — Mr. Dol and Mr. Firoj in particular — who made this stay memorable. Their warmth, responsiveness, and willingness to help with anything I needed reflected genuine Nepali hospitality at its best. Highly recommend this hotel to any traveler, especially those visiting Nepal for the first time or feeling uncertain given regional conditions. I left feeling completely at ease and well taken care of throughout my stay.

The staff was very nice and helpful. They changed my room, because of some renovation nearby. The location of the hotel is great. The breakfast and the restaurant was great too.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is absolutely perfect, making it easy to get around and explore. The breakfasts were delicious with a great variety of fresh options every morning. A special mention goes to the hotel manager, who was exceptionally helpful and went out of his way to help us organize our trips and local activities. Highly recommended!

A very clean and centrally located hotel. Dol, the manager, was exceptionally kind and helpful. He arranged an early check-in for us after our early morning arrival and even prepared breakfast boxes for our early departure the next day. We really appreciated his thoughtful and attentive service. Highly recommended!

Piccolo hotel collocato nel cuore di Thamel, in una via secondaria e silenziosa, lontana dal traffico cittadino. Tutto lo staff è stato incredibilmente cordiale, la camera e l'hotel in generale pulitissimi, materasso molto comodo e proposte per la colazione varie e tutte eccezionali. Ho soggiornato in due diversi momenti presso questa struttura, e sicuramente tornerei di nuovo qui. Consigliata a tutti!

The Breakfast was excellent! They even did a hot chocolate for me every morning upon my request. The Hotel is in Thamel, which is a super convenient, super lively, and super accessible part of Kathmandu, but at the same time, it is tucked away into a little side street so it feels quiet and cozy.

La limpieza es muy buena y da gusto estar en habitaciones tan limpias y cómodas. La atención de todo el personal es excepcional y siempre están muy atentos. La ubicación es ideal porque está en una zona con actividad pero en una calle muy tranquila así que no hay ruido de gente y restaurantes. Merece mucho la pena reservar este hotel.

Ampliaría un poco más las opciones en el desayuno, por ejemplo, poder tomar café y no Nescafé.

We had a good stay at this hotel. We enjoyed the breakfast spread. We ordered food from their in-house restaurant in which the food were delicious. The room was cleaned daily. Location was very convenient. Mr Dol and his team was very helpful throughout the stay. The surrounding was peaceful. The room was worth the money. We would defintely recommend this hotel to our family and friends👌👌👌

清潔で快適な部屋でした。ベッドはもちろんシャワールームも綺麗です。朝食ブュッフェも毎日内容が変わり、どれも美味しかったです。立地も良く、タメル地区を散歩するなら丁度いい場所だと思います。カトマンズに行くならまた泊まりたいです。

不知道那么高的评分是不是刷出来的，房间很小，很昏暗，床上用品包括浴巾看起来黑黑的，一点也不干净，我自己带了一次性的，早上7点就开始装修，根本就休息不好，早餐的果汁里面有软体虫子，常住店的客人告诉我，那个果汁他们好久都不更换，没人喝就一直放那里（难道就我自己喝吗😠）

Central location, located in a quite side alley but is walking distance to the busy streets. It is a relatively new construction, everything was Clean & well maintained. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We went during the low season, the breakfast buffet had limited options. We checked in late at night and there were people drinking alcohol in the waiting area in front of the reception desk. We had to keep standing for check-in formalities while those people offered us half eaten biscuits in an inebreated state. Hotel staff seemed to be ok with this.

I mentioned it, and they organized a nice celebration with a birthday cake! The tours I asked about were great and good value for money. If I return to Kathmandu, I will stay there again!!

The aircondition had quite a strong light that lighted up the little room. For me as a sensitive sleeper I needed an eye mask to sleep. But no problem otherwise.

Extremely clean, quiet and a perfect place to relax and enjoy a bit of comfort after trekking! I felt very well looked after by the staff, who were always checking I was alright. Good selection for breakfast (enjoyed the fresh fruit!) and they made me a packed breakfast on my last day when I had to leave early. I also requested a balcony which they were able to accommodate, which I loved sitting out on. I would absolutely stay here again!

Cleaner than most five-star hotels — every corner was spotless, from the bathroom to the bedding. Despite being right in the middle of Thamel, the rooms were surprisingly quiet, making it the perfect base after long days of exploring or trekking. The design is modern and well-maintained, and the staff genuinely go above and beyond. Friendly, helpful, and full of local tips. Highly recommended — would stay again without hesitation.

The hotel has everything you could possibly need. The rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean. I’ve rarely seen such a clean hotel in Nepal. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. It offers excellent value for money.

I liked the cozy comfortable and convenient stay at Kailash Boutique. The staff is exceptionally professional, courteous and go out of the way to make the guests comfortable. Housekeeping and cleanliness was very good. Restaurant food was simple and tasty. Doi, Babu and Ijaz were always there to answer and address all my requirements.
