To get to the apartment, you had to go up stairs; it's difficult with large suitcases. There was no full-length mirror. There was no large table, desk, or dressing table. Very small space for hanging and storing clothes. There was no blackout curtains.

Room was very sparse with no place to put clothes. Would be good to have a table and chairs rather than very small table and chairs. Do not think it was worth the rate we spent per night.

I appreciate Flåm is a tourist hub and there aren't a huge number of accommodation options (which inevitably inflates prices), but this was eye wateringly expensive.

For a room meant to accommodate 4 people, it was uncomfortable. The sofa bed was horrible; the floor where I ended up sleeping was more comfortable. There was not enough shelf/counter space in the bathroom for 4 guests, although there was plenty of space to put something. Electrical outlets were mostly at floor level, making it hard to charge phones. Food options were limited, not very good, and served at a glacial pace.

It was hard to find as the instructions are not clear. It is above the Mall of Norway. They do not let you check in early (check in time is 3:00) and expect you out by 10:00 if not earlier than that.

Por cerca de 1000 euros la noche que el check out sea a las 10 de la mañana me parece aberrante . También el check in me parece tardío ( a las 3 de la tarde ) . Entre una cosa y otra no llega a las 24 horas . Menos mal que se puede dejar el equipaje en el hotel que está a poca distancia , pero no me parece para nada razonable esta política .

The rooms, while basic, were very quiet, clean, comfortable with cozy beds (small) and BLACK OUT SHADES FINALLY!! I slept like a baby and woke to the majestic Mountain View’s. Fresh and lovely!!

Reviewed Jul 6, 2026Ich waren total überrascht eine Unterkunft vorzufinden bei der es keine Rezeption also keinen Menschen gab. Wir sind mit dem Zug angereist und ohne WLAN im Zug. Wir kamen zuvor direkt von einem Schiff und hatten deshalb keine Chance unsere E-Mail zu überprüfen. Wir kamen also ohne Information vor dem Haus an und mussten uns der Hilfe eines daneben befindlichen Geschäfts und deren freundlichen Mitarbeiters bemühen. Es waren dann drei Telefonate notwendig um zu erfahren vor welcher Tür, es gab zwei Locations mit Appartements des Vermieters, und den Türcode und die Room-Nr. zu finden. In dem Appartement gab es keinen Fernseher. Einen Wasserkocher und einen leeren Kühlschrank und Pulverkaffee und Teebeutel sowie Teller und Tassen. Alles etwas sehr einfach. Die Badausstattung kann als sehr hochwertig beschrieben werden.
Der Ort selbst gut, die Unterkunft eher nicht. Für den Preis war es eine unseriös teuere Unterkunft. Ich würde von einem Anmietung unter den gegebenen Rahmenbedingungen unbedingt abraten. Für den halben Preis scheint mir das Appartement, für norwegische Verhältnisse, als angemessen.

Reviewed Jul 1, 2026This place is called "Apartments", but in fact it's a small number of rooms (6 I think) with a communal "very limited" kitchen. A large fridge with each shelf reserved for a specific room; and 4 appliances (kettle, microwave, coffee machine, toaster) but only 2 electrical power outlets, so I was always switching outlets... Coffee and tea provided. But nothing to cook on, only for breakfast. I rarely saw anyone (employee or guest), so the kitchen was "mine" when I needed it! YEH! The room itself was very nice, very spacious with a good double-bed (queen I think) and a nice outlook toward the mountains. The windows are double-pane and block the noise from the street below (pedestrian mostly), but the walls between the rooms are quite thin - most of the noise was from the adjacent bathroom. My bathroom was very nice, quite large, and everything worked well.
On the train from Oslo then Myrdal, there was no Internet connection. I had received no information the day before my train ride, so when I got to Flam, I went to a hotel with the same name as my "apartment" and asked for help! "You should have received a message from us with a door code!" When? "It was sent this morning!" Well, with no Internet, no message, no code. The desk man helped me with Internet connectivity and directions, but after that, lost interest in me, he was on to other guests. Fortunately, I found a young hotel lady who came outside with me to give me better directions. Door code worked - I was in the right place. But quite a steep staircase to climb with suitcase and bag! The steps are very narrow, so the climb down with suitcase was a bit harrowing...

The unit had been recently renovated so very smart inside. There was a lift also as our unit was on the second floor. The lift is accessed through the clothing store. My 2 adult children slept on the sofa beds, which were comfortable.
Nothing - would stay again.

The sofa bed used as the third bed was extremely hard, had a noticeable bump in the middle, and was very uncomfortable to sleep on . The value for money is extremely poor, and the stay was far from comfortable. I would definitely not consider staying hereagain . I also cannot say that the staff were particularly friendly or welcoming. Their attitude felt rather indifferent, which further detracted from the overall experience.

Reviewed Jun 13, 2026The apartment is 2 mins away from the Flam station and just beside the harbour so very convenient in location. The restaurant food was very delicious especially the dinner. Room is neat and clean, with all we need. So glad we can make nice coffee by filtering. The small balcony gives us chill time after a day’s sightseeing and the next morning.
The apartment is not very easy to find by itself as it’s not in the hotel area, we walk around the buildings for a while to figure it out. The bed is a bit too soft. Apartment is one the first floor so if you carry luggage there’s no lift.

Directions to the apartment building we not great and although it says you can check in early you can’t. When I mean early, I mean 5 min early.

처음에 메일로받은 비번으로 현관문열고 계단을 올라갔는데 정면과 오른쪽, 왼쪽 모두 문으로 막혀있어 어찌 해야할 바를 몰라 오르락 내리락했음ᆢ 정면문에 그곳을 열고 들어 오라는 표시라도 해놓길 바람. 그곳이 바로 두번째 현관문인데ᆢ 두번째현관을 열고 들어서야 3번ᆢ 5번방등이 나옴ᆢ 항시 상주하는 안내 데스크가 있으면 좋겠음

The accommodation is not staffed and there is no easy way to contact management. The heater in our room did not work. It took the better part of a day between me letting the management know via Booking.com and someone attending to it (and they were unable to fix it).

Lack of towels, bathmats, washcloths, kleenex tissues. Management only provides a towel and hand towel each. For the price, should have had a few more bathroom items. No bath robes either. Staff was super responsive and brought us some extra hand towels. (All they have) Place needs some lights in living room other than one bright overhead light paired together with kitchen overhead light. No side or end tables either for your drink. Kitchen lacked utensils, not fully stocked. Nice property but for the price expected it to be better furnished.
