The staff were so nice and helpful. Jamila was very helpful. The place is clean, breakfast is top tier. The facilities are a modern experience. It’s so serene and peaceful, perfect for resetting.

The owner made me pay extra for breakfast due to their own misunderstanding with booking.com promotions. Had to pay R500 extras. Which made me soo sad.

Reviewed Jul 8, 2026The place looks exactly the same as the picture. It was beautiful whoa welcome by the staff members she carried our bags from our car into the room, offered as something to drink. My partner and I loved everything about it. It’s beautiful the view.
Is nothing to dislike about this property it’s beautiful grabbed of attention and it’s it. It’s beautiful to be honest. Nothing can be taken away. Nothing can be added to the property on its own.

There was a problem with the lighting in the room. Dalene explained that they were hit by lightning and they were in the process of sorting out the problem. The one side lamp was faulty but immediately Dalene was notified she resolved the issue.

The shower door was not closing properly therefore the water was all over the floor. The iron was not good, the heat on it was too low even after adjusting to the max.

They was construction going on, so it was a bit noisy in the morning. The WiFi was down for one day but it was fixed the next day. The cleaner did not change towels she just folded them.

The bed could have been better. It was a king size bed but unfortunately made up of two 3 quarter mattresses put together and then wrapped together by a king mattress protector. The beds were comfortable but always found myself slipping into the middle line where the mattresses where seperated, which wasnt great at all I'm sure though if I had mentioned it to our host she would have rectified the situation.

Reviewed Mar 30, 2025Dalene was an exceptional host. From entry into the house, being greeted and welcomed with a complimentary glass of wine by the pool. The room was clean and comfortable. In the mornings she would ask how we would like our breakfast, which on both days tasted delicious. The staff was kind and attended to all our needs. The view of the dam from the balcony and pool was a breath of fresh air. The property has well curated paintings which I enjoyed immersing myself.
Unfortunately the dam had the hyacinth infestation during our visit so that was a let down considering the view from the property was perfect. We did understand that it is a Bed and Breakfast, however we came with food when we checked in around 17:00 and we needed to warm it so not having a microwave in the room was a small issue. Dalene did help us warm our food and even offered plates and cutlery which quickly remedied the issue.

When we were there power went out and there was no communication from the host until morning. We paid for balcony but the balcony was not exclusively ours, other guests also used it which then doesnt make sense why we had to pay for it if it is going to be used by all guests. In the morning as we were about to check out the owner was shouting at staff for talking, that doesnt make sense to me and yes it could be policy but there is a way to communicate to staff also minding who is around at that time.
