Aathi Resort

Nice comfortable stay. The rooms are very basic but the pool area was fantastic and one of the best from our holiday in Sri Lanka. All the staff were happy to help with anything. Location is a little out from the beach but only a short tuk tuk drive to the restaurants and beaches.

El hotel es increible , la.zona de la piscina espectacular y el personal es lo mejos. Son muy atentos ,pendientes de todo sin olvidar ningun detalle

C’est le meilleur rapport qualité prix que on ai fait durant notre voyage. Vrai mention pour la piscine qui est plus que agréable ainsi que les équipements extérieur. A choisir je reviendrais dans cet établissement c’est certain. Le personnel est très très à l’écoute et peu importe l’heure. Malade durant notre séjour ils ont été au petits soins même le soir à la dernière minute… un grand merci à Nirushan

Room and bathroom are spacious. Floors are clean. Personel is very friendly, accommodating, and tries to help in the best possible ways. Pool has a nice size.

Towels and bedlinnen had stains. Bed itself was a bit hard. Nearby temple plays prayers from morning to late evening.

Dieses kleine Resort ist schön ruhig gelegen. Meinem Sohn hat der Pool am besten gefallen. Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig und lecker! Unser Zimmer war zweckmäßig aber sauber,das Bad ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen aber auch zweckmäßig. Nirushan war jederzeit via WhatsApp erreichbar und hat uns mehrfach ein TukTuk bestellt oder auch ein Taxi bei der Abreise. Eine zurückhaltende und nicht aufdringliche Familie & sehr hilfsbereit!

Das Bad könnte ein makeover gebrauchen aber es war ok

The staff couldn’t do any more for us if they tried. They were always making sure we had everything we needed and responded to any questions instantly. The pool was also very nice and well kept. Having the lights in the pool made it very appealing at night.

We did not always have hot water which with the temperatures outside being so hot wasn’t always an issue.

Het verblijf voor die prijs. Er werd zeer veel zorg gedragen voor de gasten. Van een koude handdoek bij toekomen tot een sapje aan het zwembad.

Het ongezellig licht in de kamer en onze badkamer kwam niet overeen met de foto's.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in Nilaweli with a great pool and only 7min. with the TukTuk to the beach. Beds were comfortable and personal was super friendly and helpful.

Considering the price, which was 40% more expensive that our average night (incl. breakfast) - we were at 9 different places in 3 weeks - this was by far the most expensive. We loved the place and enjoyed the pool and we also didn't mind the distance to the beach, but breakfast was a bit low key and at extra costs and expensive (10$ per person). The bathroom and storage facilities for 4 people in the suite were very tiny.

La piscine magnifique, la bienveillance de l équipe, le très joli jardin et le confort de la chambre. Le petit déjeuner très correct et les petites attentions très appréciées. L environnement au calme entre les deux jolies plages.

L’établissement est bien situé, près de la plage et des restaurants. Le personnel est très accueillant et est à votre service. Les chambres sont très bien, propres.

Lovely quiet location, great pool and lots of seating and shade. The staff were really helpful and always ready to assist. Big rooms and decent WiFi. Breakfast is good but you need to go out to eat in evening. We liked Fernando’s Bar and market on the beach for pizza, tacos, Chinese and Japanese. Sometimes you need a break from curry!

Not an issue but note that you will need to use Tuk Tuks to get anywhere if you don’t have your own transport. We used PickMe and it was really quick.

Bellissimo resort a 10 minuti di tuk tuk da uppuveli. Piscina e giardino bellissimi e davvero curati. Abbiamo goduto di una buona colazione servita da un ottimo staff. Camera spaziosa e con il necessario. L'host è stato sempre disponibile per ogni nostra richiesta. Ottima esperienza!

We loved staying at Aathi Resort, it's halfway between the tourist restaurant area in Trincomalee and Nilaveli beach. It was perfect for us to go diving and swim with sharks on Pigeon Island, enjoy relaxing by the pool and go out in the evening in Alles Garden. The pool is perfect and the staff are so nice and helpful. Highly recommend!

Could be nice to have a fridge in the room but it was already great!

Superbe piscine extérieure. Chambre propre avec tous les équipements nécessaires. Salle de bain pareil. Petit déjeuner varié. Personnel agréable et disponible. Service de laundry sur place.

Un peu excentré (à 10 minutes de trajet des restaurants) nécessaire de prendre un tuktuk/ louer un scooter.

Het lag buiten het centrum van Trincomalee waar het heerlijk relaxed was. Alles was eenvoudig met een kort ritje in een tuktuk te bereiken. De mensen waren zeer behulpzaam en aardig.

Achter een grote poort bevindt zich dit gezellig hotelletje met zwembad en tuin. Heel vriendelijke mensen en een top ontbijt! Ideaal om van hieruit de omgeving te verkennen.

The property was nice and clean, the swimming pool was new and well maintained.

The properti was clean, well maintained and looked after the staff. The staff is very kind and friendly. They just want to make your staying as smooth as possible. They were even looking after my little one during breakfast. Honestly, I will recommend you to go to this place , it’s fantastic!

- la piscine toute neuve avec jets massants (à la demande), trop belle la nuit avec ses lumières, même si l'eau était un peu trouble. - le calme - le gérant très réactif, sympathique et efficace pour trouver des solutions - le geste commercial suite à un petit problème de clim une nuit (réglé rapidement dès le lendemain)

En fait, la piscine étant récente, le standing de l'hôtel à évoluer et ils sont encore en rodage, avec encore quelques éléments à améliorer. - pas de service de restauration ou de snack (même si on nous a préparé sur demande un très bon repas à un prix très raisonnable le 1er soir) - personnel de service timide et qui manque encore de jovialité et d'initiative - vue de la fenêtre donnant sur des déchets de travaux Du coup, le prix nous a semblé un peu élevé comparé à d'autres hôtels de même standing que l'on a eu. A noter également qu'il est nécessaire de prendre un tuktuks pour aller sur les plages ou/et aller au restaurant.

Fijn rustig resort, net buiten Uppuveli in Trincomalee. We konden gelijk de kamer in, ondanks dat we eerder arriveerden. Zeer schoon en tussendoor ook goed schoongemaakt. Het personeel spreekt niet veel Engels, maar ze zijn allemaal even vriendelijk. Wij kozen ervoor om elders te ontbijten en de laatste dag kregen we een ontbijt van het hotel. Super lief.

We had a wonderful stay at this resort. The staff were absolutely amazing, friendly, accommodating, and always willing to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was excellent, with generous serving sizes and plenty of options to enjoy each morning, they had both western and Sri Lankan style breakfast options. One feature we particularly appreciated was the free driver accommodation, which made our stay much more convenient. The swimming pool was exceptionally clean, and the entire resort was beautifully maintained and clearly well cared for. We would definitely recommend this resort.

Wir hatten ein sauberes und gutes Familienzimmer. Das Personal ist außergewöhnlich freundlich und aufmerksam. Die geschlossene Anlage mit dem wirklich sehr schönen Pool ist wie eine kleine Oase.

Il resort è in una zona leggermente decentrata rispetto a Uppuveli ma questo a nostro avviso è il suo punto di forza perchè è in una zona molto tranquilla ma rimane ugualmente comodo raggiungere le principali spiagge di Trincomalee: Uppuveli, Nilaveli e Sampalthivu Beach. Lo staff è stato molto disponibile e estremamente gentile. Le camere spaziose, pulite e nuove. Il bagno grande e pulito. La piscina molto bella. Abbiamo anche potuto parcheggiare la nostra macchina internamente alla proprietà. Abbiamo fatto la colazione in hotel ed è stata servita super puntuale ed era sia molto buona sia molto abbondante. Se torneremo a Trincomalee torneremo sicuramente qui, lo raccomando.

Very spacious room, with 2 airco's. The entire premises was beautiful and well maintained. Large pool with sufficient beds. The owner was super responsive when we had a question or asked for additional towels etc. The accommodation is just outside the busy center, and very easy to reach with tuktuk. The owner recommended a diving school; we did snorkeling and dolphin watching.

If you stay multiple nights it would be great to have more variety for the breakfast (e.g. with egg or pancakes). The breakfast was good, but personally we would have liked different options each day.

Das Aathi Resort hat uns wirklich überrascht, denn ist es etwas außerhalb gelegen und wirkt wie eine Oase in einer kargen Gegend. Das Personal ist äußerst zuvorkommend und macht alles möglich. Von speziellen Wünschen eines vegetarischen Frühstücks über die Verlängerung des Aufenthalts in einem anderen Zimmer bis hin zum Wäscheservice. Ein Highlight ist die sehr schön neu angelegte Poolanlage!

We had an amazing stay at Aathi Resort. If you’re looking for a calm and relaxing place, this is perfect. It’s only about a 10-minute drive from the beautiful beaches of Trincomalee and the restaurants in Uppuveli. There’s also a supermarket just around the corner where you can find everything you need. The resort is in excellent condition and everything is spotless, thanks to the wonderful caretaker. He is incredibly kind, always helpful, and truly went out of his way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. If you have any questions, both he and the owner’s nephew are always available. We would definitely come back again!

Besonders gut hat uns das Anwesen und das Zimmer gefallen. Wir hatten fast das Gefühl gehabt, Abends wieder in Europa zu sein. Schöner grüner Rasen, ein freundlicher Empfang durch den Sicherheitsmann und ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Eigentümer! Lustig sind die grossen grauen Affen, die Morgens zu besuch kommen.

Great hotel, the owner was really helpful, always getting us everything we needed and always up to resolve our problems. We even got to do early check-in! Very big room with comfortable bed and easy access to the center by motorbike!

It was a pleasure to stay at Aathi Resort. The place is truly beautiful, and the room was exceptionally clean and relaxing. The staff were very helpful, and the owner was a pleasure to meet. I would highly recommend Asthi Resort to anyone looking for a wonderful place to stay at trincomalee.

Schöner abgetrennter Resort mit Garten. Saubere Zimmer und sehr zuvorkommendes Personal.

Das Zimmer wirkte noch nicht fertig. Überall hingen noch Aufkleber. Der Kühlschrank funktionierte nicht. Es gibt kein Warmwasser, was nicht schlimm ist bei der Hitze. Es gibt kein Essen.

Friendly and helpful staff. Manager gave me a lift to get some food. Owner was extremely kind and seems a great fellow

Location isn't the best

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt zwischen Uppuveli und Nilaveli gelegen, sodass man beide Strände gut mit dem Tuktuk erreichen kann. Der Besitzer hat uns sogar manchmal gefahren/mitgenommen. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Anlage ist schön! Das Personal war super lieb.

Leider keine Mosquitonetze vorhanden (zumindest in unserem Zimmer).

I stayed at Aaathi Resort, Trincomalee, for 2 nights during a couple’s trip, and it was an amazing experience! The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The resort provided thoughtful amenities such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, and body wash, along with free Wi-Fi, which was very convenient. The atmosphere of the place is beautiful, peaceful, and very clean. The landscaping is well-maintained and adds to the relaxing vibe. It truly feels like home and is also a very safe place to stay. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Trincomalee – I would definitely come back again!

Die Sauberkeit in Zimmer und Anlage war einwandfrei. Die Ausstattung der Zimmer ist modern und praktisch, sodass man sich schnell zuhause fühlt. Die gepflegte Anlage und das stets freundliche, hilfsbereite Personal haben den Aufenthalt sehr angenehm gemacht.

Sadly we are not amazed by this “resort”. But what we can say is that the owner is friendly and the room was clean.

There were a lot of points we disliked, for starters no working Wifi. No reception for check-in / check-out. (If you are in luck the owner is there other wise you have to communicate with his non-english speaking guard). There was no food/room service available at the property even though it is located outside the city center and called a “resort”. Some smaller points would be no hot shower water, no kettle for making coffee or tea in the room. There was a TV but it had no signal. When we informed about laundry it would take 2 days therefore being past our checkout date and there was no refill station for drinking water. All together we were just a little bit disappointed. But then checkout did not go smoothly either, since there is no reception the guard would collect the money, but there was no receipt, no communication just the word “money”…

Very calm and quiet environment and a better place to relax. Also very nice & clean rooms & friendly staff for a affordable prices.
