We loved the good care of the family running the hotel. They were the most friendly and kind People we met in Sri Lanka. The breakfast is really good (a full plate of fruit, egg, bread, a Sri Lankan Special and a dessert)! Across the street is turtle beach and a few minutes walk is Mirissa Beach. The room was spacious and very clean.

Das neue kleine Hotel, das von einer Familie betrieben wird. Das Hotel ist sauber und die Atmosphäre ist familiär. Die Gastgeber haben sich wirklich Mühe gegeben und waren immer nett und freundlich. Sogar zum Frühstück wurden wir gefragt, was wir uns wünschen und netterweise hat uns die Dame lokales Essen angeboten. Wir haben uns hier wohl gefühlt. Bis zum Turtle Beach 1 min. zur Fuß. Hauptstrand ist ca. 7-10 Minuten.

Das Frühstück ist gut, allerdings soll der Gastgeber den Frühstücksservice besser organisieren: Erstmal kam Obstteller, 10 Minuten später wurde Brot mit Butter und Marmelade samt Tee gebracht. Noch 10 Minuten warten und kommt Ei-Gericht. Und immer so schleppend.

Ganz liebe, herzliche Gastfamilie mit sehr schönen und ruhigen Zimmern. Die Lage war gut; man kam über einen kleinen Weg auf der anderen Seite der Straße direkt an den Strand. Auf dem Gang gab es kostenfreie Wasserspender, was wir super fanden. Wir würden sofort wiederkommen.

Good place near the turtle beach, parrot rock and coconut hills. Friendship owners.

We loved the house so mindfully furnished, clean and giving a sense of peace. We appreciated the most the hosting family, everyone was so kind and accommodating,that we would come back happily.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt mit äußerst netten und liebevollen Gastgebern. Die Familie hat uns jederzeit unterstützt. Egal ob Scooter mieten, Tipps für Unternehmungen oder die Wunden mit Salbe nach einen Badeunfall versorgen😅 Das Frühstück, die Lage und Sauberkeit der Unterkunft ließen keine Wünsche offen. Alles in allem eine perfekte Unterkunft für unsere Reise. Sogar ein kostenloses Dinner wurde extra für uns nach traditioneller Art hergerichtet obwohl wir nur mit Frühstück gebucht hatten. Vielen Dank für die tolle Zeit! Wir würden die Unterkunft jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Best Hotel in Sri Lanka with the Best Breakfast ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 – The owner and family here welcomed us very warmly and made us feel completely at home. The hospitality was exceptional - the host and the entire family are kind, loving and genuinely caring. They guided us very well and made sure we were comfortable at all times. It felt like staying with family rather than in a hotel. The rooms were very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent, fresh and delicious. The location was also perfect - very close to the beach, with lots of restaurants nearby, making it easy and convenient to enjoy everything around. We were extremely happy with our stay and would happily give it a 10 out of 10. We definitely look forward to returning in the future. I would recommend Tropical Inn to my friends and family without hesitation. Thank you for making our stay so special.

Tolles Frühstück, super Lage, direkt am turtle beach 🐢😍 dass Zimmer war sehr sauber. Die Hotelbesitzer sind so unglaublich lieb. Das habe ich wirklich noch nicht erlebt.

Das Zimmer war sehr klein und es gab einfach zu wenig Ablagefläche.

Superb location. Big room and bed and bathroom. Towels provided and excellent breakfast. The family that run it are incredibly friendly and will do anything for you. Nice balcony also. This is basic done extremely well, and the price was superb, excellent value for money.

They couldn’t find the key to open wardrobe for a day but no problem living out of suitcase for a day. I was also locked out after getting back 12:15am, managed to squeeze through gate, but upstairs to rooms was also locked so had to wake up owner to let me in. They usually close up 11:30pm but said if I wanted to stay out late they would wait up. My only concern is if there was a fire in middle of night how would guests get out as locked in. No major issue as usually back by 11pm anyway.

Non mi sento di consigliare la struttura in quanto di livello inferiore rispetto agli altri hotel che ho trovato durante il mio viaggio in Sri Lanka. Camera non tanto pulita (ho trovato capelli nel letto) ed un odore strano sia in camera che sulla biancheria da letto. Ho trovato due piccoli gechi in camera e tantissime zanzare (può capitare ma mai successo in altre strutture). Ho dovuto richiedere dopo due giorni se potevano pulire la stanza perché non sono venuti a pulirla. Mi spiace per la cortesia della famiglia (davvero tutti molto carini e cortesi) ma per gli aspetti sopra descritti non consiglierei la struttura. Per rapporto qualità/prezzo si trova altro essendo una zona molto turistica e ricca di alberghi.

No ha podido ser una estancia más agradable y confortable. El alojamiento está impecable y bien ubicado a pocos pasos de la playa de Mirissa. Un desayuno espectacular para empezar bien el día. Pero lo mejor, es la familia adorable que te hace sentir como si fueras uno más. Muy recomendable.

Het hotel wordt gerund door een ontzettend vriendelijk gezin. Ze doen er alles aan om het naar de zin te maken. Heerlijk en uitgebreid ontbijt. De ligging is geweldig. Aan de overkant van de weg is Turtle beach. Daar vandaan loop je zo naar Coconut Tree Hill of de andere kant op naar Parrot Rock. Ook gezellige strandtenten op loopafstand voor een drankje of heerlijk eten

Honestly if I could give them 100 of out 10 I would. We had the most gorgeous stay here. The staff / family were the kindest and most accommodating people. Our breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Our room was large with great air conditioning, hot water and a hair dryer. It is in a perfect location. We even left our bags after checkout and were able to shower before moving onto our next destination that evening. Would highly recommend to anyone.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely homestay in Sri Lanka! The family was incredibly warm and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. The way to the beach was a one-minute walk and the breakfast was absolutely delicious. The rooms were spotlessly clean and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

Lovely large and clean room. The hosts are as friendly as you are likely to find, very welcoming and they serve a super breakfast.

The road outside the property is busy. The beach is accessed via an alley and is overcrowded.

The owners are really nice and helpful. The room was huge and the bed too! Breakfast also was super good.

Lovely family run hotel, perfectly located in Mirissa, walking distance to the beach and many great bars and restaurants. The family prepared a great breakfast for us each day as well as being super kind and helpful to arrange transport for the day and go our next hotel. The room was clean and had good AC and a nice shower.

Beautiful accommodation, spacious room always with functioning air conditioning and always with hot water. The beautiful beach is only a 2-minute walk away. The breakfasts were the best of all the stays we had in Sri Lanka - a full plate of fresh fruit, eggs prepared in various ways, bread, butter, jam, and always some surprise at the end. The hosts are very kind people, they helped us arrange anything we needed - transportation from the airport and for all our trips. I highly recommend a stay at Tropical Inn :-)

The only thing to be aware of is that the accommodation is located by a relatively busy street, like everywhere in Mirissa. However, we didn't hear any noise, only crossing the street was occasionally a bit of a challenge.

Very welcoming and great breakfasts.

We liked basically everything, it’s clean, spacious, comfortable. Delicious breakfast every day. But what made it special was hospitality from the family owning the place. You can really feel that they love what they do and provide their services with joy and grace.

Fabulous, large room with a huge bed. The room has everything you need, fridge, hairdryer, toiletries, air con and ceiling fan. Finished to a high standard compared to the places we have stayed in Sri Lanka so far in the same price range. Great location, 2 minutes walk to Turtle Beach, restaurants located nearby. Mirissa main beach only a 10 minute walk. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the fruit plate was amazing. The family are such lovely gentle people, everything is done to perfection. We've stayed at 8 accommodations during our stay and so far this has been the best. Tuk Tuk onsite can be arranged at a good price. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Having to leave

The room was spacious, with a very comfortable large king bed and a lovely big bathroom also! The owners are amazing people and made us a delicious local breakfast. Would highly recommend!

What a lovely place, perfect location, so clean and a lovely family. The family organised our whale watching trip at a superb price. Breakfast was huge and delicious.

The room is very big, has up to date facilities, and friendly people. In fact, when our driver dislocated his shoulder, the owners drove us to the hospital and stayed until he was done so they could drive us back. I’d give 11/10 if I could.

The hot water can be finicky at times.

Warm , friendly and above all such a welcoming family. Clean and very spacious room which was quiet despite being in a central location. Amazing breakfast in a great setting. Nothing is too much trouble for this wonderful family. We were made to feel very special and would thoroughly recommend.

The family were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing. The rooms are large and modern and the property is across the road from the beach and close to many restaurants.

One of the absolute best stays we had overall, in our entire Sri Lanka trip! Wonderfully large and comfy room, sparkling clean, excellent AC, fantastic shower & bathroom, great location within easy walking distance of everywhere we wanted to be in Mirissa, and most of all - the lovely, warm and super kind family who welcomed us and made us so comfortable throughout the stay! From the kind and cheerful young siblings of the family, to their parents, extended family, and even the adorable grandmother! And the breakfast they warmly prepared for us everyday - the best Sri Lankan breakfast we've had throughout the trip, and such a sumptuous and lavish spread! Even when it was time to leave, they came with us to flag down the bus for us for our next destination, and made this entire trip truly memorable in every way! We would love to return!! :)

This was a really excellent place to stay. I have been coming to Mirissa for decades and this was the best yet. I would definitely go back. It is not on the main beach, it's a 5-10 minute walk but that is no bad thing. Also right on top of Turtle Beach which is perfect if you prefer a calmer swim to the waves of the main beach. Plus you get to see turtles of course. Tropical Inn itself is a quality 4 bedroom guesthouse run by a charming family. It is the sort of place that the word "spotless" was invented for. The morning fruit plate has to be seen to be believed and the rates are reasonable. I loved this place.

Any criticism would have to be so !manufactured and picky that I am not going to make any. I will just say bravo.

Everything was great!!!!! The family was so welcoming, friendly, and lovely! I really enjoyed them and my stay there. They were very accommodating with my breakfast time and breakfast! The room was big, had a refrigerator, and lovely pillows and bed sheets! Almost like I was sleeping on my own sheets! :) Great location. Definitely recommend! I will be going back for one more night before leaving Sri Lanka.

We love everything about this place. It was amazingly clean and the 2 rooms we had were very spacieous. The best showers I had in Sri Lanka were here. We got beach towels as well. Breakfast was delicious ( huge amout and variety of fresh fruits and pancakes, omlettes, hoppers ). Property is situated 50 m from the Turtle beach and 5 minutes walk from Mirissa Beach with many cosy beach restaurants. Close to shops. Plus a few minutes walk to famous Coconut Hill. But the most stunning thing about Tropical inn was the host Family (mom, dad, dauther and son). Such a beutiful people. They make you feel like home. Always smiling, helpfull and caring. I will for sure come back to this place, when I visit Mirissa again. It was bit hard to say goodbye.

A wonderful stay with a beautiful family to host. The location is perfectly situated right opposite Turtle Bay beach, just next to the equally stunning Mirissa beach! My family and I were spoilt by delicious breakfasts every day with all our needs catered to. We would definitely stay again!

Clean, spacious room. We loved having a fridge and the hosts provided us with plenty of bottled water free of charge. We really loved breakfast both mornings, especially the wide variety of fresh fruit.

The location was great, just across the street from the beach, lots of restaurants close by, but best of all the family was so delightful. We fell in love with them. Super clean rooms and the breakfast was very good. We stayed 8 days and always had something new and delicious. The family is very kind and helpful

Tropical inn We really enjoyed our stay at the tropical in. Room was large, clean and very comfortable. We loved the shower, which was powerful. The host family that run the inn were really friendly, accommodating and helpful. We had a lovely breakfast and a home cooked meal here. Happy to recommend this hotel in Mirissa. Will come again there when we visit Sri Lanka again.

The Tropical Inn is a quite new place, on the main street, not very far from the centre of Mirissa town. The room was spacious, clean, with a comfortable bed and large bathroom. The place is run by a lovely family which makes you feel very welcome. They are ready to help with every need a guest might have. The breakfast served includes - apart from the usual staff - a large selection of fresh fruit. We highly recommend to anyone who would wish to stay at Mirissa.

Tropical Inn is just a super location in Mirissa. It’s only a short walk across the road to Turtle Bay and the many restaurants along the beach front. The family owners of Tropical Inn Hemal,his wife Janaie and there wonderful son Dulwan are just perfect hosts and beautiful people who look after you so well. The fruit breakfast and eggs on toast was just a great way to start the day. The accomodation was peaceful and absolutely spotless and the bed so comfortable. We would recommend Tropical Inn to anyone. Five stars⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Huge room at the back was quiet.

Opposite Turtle Beach, just a quick walk beside resort and you are on the beach. Walking distance to Coconut Point and Mirissa town. The family who owns Tropical Inn are fabulous! Breakfast was a feast! We required an unexpected hospital visit, and the family were absolutely fantastic with making appointments and getting us there and back. Without hesitation, this place is recommended.

The Tropical Inn is quite new, spacious, comfortable and absolutely spotlessly clean. You'll really welcome the shower's water pressure if you've come from central Sri Lanka. The highlight by far however was the truly lovely family that run the inn. They make you feel like family and we really enjoyed meeting them. Number two highlight was the delicious breakfast. When you think breakfast is over, think again...there is much more on its way. We thank the owners for a wonderful stay in Mirissa and highly recommend that you book their inn for your visit.

Very clean and tidy room with everything you may need. Lovely family runs this inn and they did everything to make us comfortable. Very nice breakfast. Good strong wifi. Good desk allowed me to work comfortably. We really loved our stay and will be happy to come back soon :)

It's not so important - but a smart TV would be a great addition to the room.

We really loved to stay in this homestay, the staff are friendly and warm and they help us with the transportation,everything was nice and clean, the food is tasty and huge, the location is so good, you can walk 5 min to Coconut Hill. I would like to come back. I highly recommend it

Best accommodation in Sri Lanka. It’s clean, well air conditioned and comfortable. The hosting family is simply awesome, they are the friendliest people. We loved the abundant fruit plate each morning. It’s just 2 min to the beach and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. We also went to Udawalawe NP with them, great experience. If we’d come back to Mirissa, we’ll definitely stay there again.

A water dispenser would have been great to refill our bottles. Unfortunately, taking a cold shower to cool down during the day is not possible, since the water is really hot. They could also provide a shampoo and shower gel dispenser, but that’s a minor issue.

I LOVED this place! So clean and nice. And the cleanliness is important to me. The hosts made the stay even better, the sweetest family, so happy and friendly. I love them! They really did all they could to make me happy, even if I’m not a demanding person. They also serve so much breakfast, you won’t go hungry. Supposed to stay 2 nights but ended up staying 3 nights. If I go to Sri Lanka again I will be back for sure. If you looking at this accommodation, please do not hesitate.

We had a very spacious room with excellent AC and a huge fridge which was very welcomed in the heat! Directly opposite turtle beach where we saw many turtles. This lovely hotel is run by a kind and helpful family who helped us work out what time out train was and organised a lift to the station. Breakfast was INCREDIBLE both in amount and quantity. Highly recommend a stay here during your time in Mirissa for some slightly quieter vibes away and a comfortable and clean hotel!

Very clean and tasteful accommodation on the first floor of the villa. Extremely friendly, courteous and helpful staff. Extensive breakfast, including a wide variety of fresh fruit. Functional air conditioning and wifi. Cleaning and towel change during the stay. Good location close to the main beach in Mirissa, approx. 50 m. across the road. Great choice of restaurants nearby.

Awesome and very welcoming family taking care of the Inn, always extremely clean and friendly. You can see they are doing their best with facilities, tasty Lankan breakfast, cleaning 10/10. The location is superior, especially if you like swimming - because right across the Inn (50 meters) there is a beach perfect for swimming. and then 2 minutes from the inn there is also a fancy beach with good food and cocktails and swimming pool. there are many good seafood restaurants in the area, fruit markets, massages. Location is 10/10 for sure, there are even monkeys playing on the neighboring roof.

Pillows were uncomfortable, but the staff quickly suggested other options and replaced them for us upon request.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Tropical Inn, managed by Mr. Hemal's family, and it was absolutely unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, the warmth and hospitality from Mr. Hemal's family made me feel incredibly welcomed. My room was perfect - spotlessly clean, well-equipped, and with top-notch Wi-Fi. It was everything I needed for a relaxing vacation, and I could easily see it being great for a business trip too. The inn's prime location, just minutes away from Coconut Tree Hill, Mirissa Beach and Turtle Point, along with the fresh, delicious breakfasts personally served by family, featuring local fruits, traditional dishes, and coffee, made my mornings truly special. Without any doubt, I wholeheartedly recommend it for an outstanding experience.

We had a great stay at Tropical Inn. The stuff was really friendly, the room clean and the breakfast tasty and enough. We only stayed 1 night but would definetily have stayed longer if it was possible. We can highly recommend Tropical Inn and it was one of the best stays during our vacation through Sri Lanka. All was absolutely perfect- the best host during 2 weeks in Sri Lanka. We loved families approach to us as tourists- very patient, calm, helpful…. The location is close to beaches and restaurants. But if you want to test perfect breakfast-only in Tropiclal Inn: diverse menu: all kinds of eggs, toast (but not typical), jam, various of fruits, also Sri Lankan breakfast available (pancakes, dahl with rice etc) jogurt…and all delicious. Room was clean and equipped with all what is necessary (eg. fridge, quite air condition). We booked at the beginning 4 nights but later we extended it to 6- any other place wouldn’t be better ;)

The property was exceptionally clean. The rooms were spacious and the bathroom was big and a very good pressure in the shower. The bedsheets were clean , bright and new. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was absolutely scrumptious and host were so attentive and accommodating. I honestly haven’t been to such amazing place to stay. Highly recommend it to anyone coming to Mirrisa.

The hotel itself is about 1 min walk from the beach so the location is excellent. The room looks brand new, is very comfortable, large and clean.
