A beautiful and peaceful setting within the family-run nursery. A spacious cottage that was well-stocked with firewood and a gas heater for the chilly winter nights. The property felt very safe and easy to access, and the host was super friendly and responsive. On the outskirts of Stellenbosch but easily accessible from the highways.

The place was clean, rooms are spacious, lounge and kitchen is also very big and comfortable. Very spacious overall. Oeloff was an amazing host. Highly recommend this cottage. Very quiet and peaceful. Beautiful Beautiful Cottage.

Locatie was geweldig, midden op een kwekerij voor inheemse planten. Dus omgeven door groen. Heerlijk huis, van alle gemakken voorzien, goede bedden. Heerlijke stoep (overdekt terras) met een geweldig plunge pool. Heerlijk relaxte tijd gehad.

We had a really nice stay with friends:)! We enjoyed swimming in the lake and the host was friendly. The dogs on the property were also so sweet.

We loved the position of the cottage, among all the trees and plants. The abundance of birds in the trees was great. We loved the braai and the plunge pool. The beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were sound proof, we could not hear the couple in the other bedroom talking, which creates a feeling of privacy. A very spacious place.

We felt as we were on holiday, the addition of a dishwasher would complement the facilities. Also, we felt that it would be nice if the coffee mugs and the wine glasses were a set and not all different.

Everything was great!!! We will definately be recommending it to others and coming back. The dogs were so friendly.

The workers came early in the morning to clean the fire place so struggled to sleep and the tv is outdated but the place is so beautiful you don't need the tv.

Gorgeous cottage. Had everything we needed. The host was wonderfully kind. Easy access to Paarl, Stellenbosch, Francshoek, and Cape Town.

Beautiful setting and ideal if you a family on a budget. Very homely & welcoming. Think in the summer it will be great. A bit cold in winter.

It’s a lovely old style house. I do feel more can be done to upgrade linen, crockery etc as we paid the same rates at newer places in better locations with quality linen, appliances etc. . It was cold & we could’ve used more blankets. WiFi didn’t work I have seen this on several reviews. It may well be the location & signal.

- single beds were a bit uncomfortable in the 2nd room - since we were not time bound or on a schedule our showers were not always warm (3 people)

The best value for money! It's the perfect little cottage with close access to Babylonstoren, Franschoek, and N1 to Cape Town. We were so impressed with the space provided, we had our own little garden, splash pool, and a really nice braai. Very clean and great bathrooms for each bedroom, with aircon in one room and fan in another, which was perfect. The hosts were absolutely wonderful, helpful, and friendly. The kitchen was very nicely equipped. Such a friendly dog came to visit us daily, which made it so homely (there is driveway gate you can close if you dont like dogs, but he will be sad and he's so sweet, also 10/10 for paws-on hosting) There is a little bit of road noise, but it's really not offensive. The setting is great, and space was an absolute bonus. Massive thank you to Oeloff and his team. We would definitely stay again!

We loved the cottage and really enjoyed the porch with the braai and pool. We appreciate the small touches such as keeping the braai clean and the wood well stocked. The location is perfect to explore nearby winefarms in Stellenbosch and Paarl.

The setting was perfect, situated on a beautiful nursery. It was spacious, clean , and tastefully decorated. We loved the pool and the comfortable couches on the stoop , the braai was also well stocked with wood etc. Oeloeff, the host, was fantastic and always available. We can't wait for our next visit.

We found the beds in the second bedroom to be quite hard. An aircon in the second bedroom would have been much appreciated!

Everything. Sitting out on the porch with the fire going as the sun set each night was one of the many highlights.

Fantastic Stay.

It’s a really nice place with ALL the amenities you need and spacious. Much better than in other places. The host was really nice and available when needed. We felt safe and secure and loved the patio. Only thing that bothered us was the cold 2nd bedroom and that warm water was only available during certain hours. Shouldn’t be a problem in summer though.

Everything. The place is beautiful, clean, owners are helpful and we are planning on going back when it's hot to enjoy the pool. Being able to take a stroll on the premises with a scenic view was one of our highlights. On the property everything was thought of, even the smallest you wouldn't expect .

We had a wonderful time at this property, the host welcomed us to hand over the keys, he made sure that we had everything we needed to make our weekend enjoyable. The cottage is modern, neat and clean equipped with all of the essentials and a little extra which made our stay comfortable. The garden is majestic! We would definitely recommend the property!

Very accommodating, made us feel right at home. Loved the doggies who came to visit (we left the gate open so they could). Nothing was a problem not matter how big or small all we had to do was just ask. Definitely be back.

It felt like home. And we will definitely go back and stay with them again. They went out of their way to assist us as we arrived early and left late.

Oeloff is a kind host and his communication was very prompt. The cottage is located in a great spot, close to the N1 and a quick drive to many surrounding wine farms. Our stay was peaceful & cosy, and we always felt safe and secure during our stay. The pool was perfect and clean, to cool off after a hot day, with a barbeque and wood right on the deck. The main bedroom has an airconditioner and ensuite. The cottage has everything you need. I would love to visit again!

The flies could be a slight nuisance, when the doors and windows are open.

The plunge pool is a fantastic bonus.

There is traffic noise but it’s not too bad.

The location was fantastic, very central to all the Winelands attractions. Most friendly hosts, who made it feel like our "home away from home". Can definitely refer to anyone who visits Cape Town - this is a great place to stay!

Host met us at the gate with keys and remote. Rooms were very clean as well as the bathrooms and the Kitchen. Plenty of cups glasses and utensils. Internet is plenty fast for several people to be on at the same time. Setting is on a nursery with thousands of beautiful plants and flowers. Was pouring with rain on arrival but the cottage has covered parking for one vehicle so that is not a problem. 15 to 20 minute drive to almost anything in Stellenbosch but just far enough away to be quiet. Will definitely recommend and will stay there again in the future.

Located directly on the R44 so there is a little road noise with the doors open but quiet with them closed.

Beautiful well equipped cottage on a lovely place. Owners were exceptionally nice people, we stayed for 3 days. The place is also central and close to Stellenbosch and Paarl.

Loved the huge patio with braai overlooking a beautiful pool & gardens. Perfect place to go with children too, chickens , bunnies & 3 friendly dogs to play with. Unit & garden completely enclosed , so the children can run around stress free . Stunning gardens to walk around with beautiful dams & tons of nature to enjoy. Huge plus all the best wine farms nearby & amazing hosts willing accommodate in any way.
