Es un hostal muy céntrico, donde te atiende gente muy amable y puedes hacer amigos muy rápido! Tiene cocina donde puedes cocinarte y de paso pasar un rato con los otros huéspedes!

La ducha podría mejorarse un poco, el agua se salía siempre, pero lo veo un mal menor, para eso siempre hay solución.

Everything was nice, there was a kitchen, the rooms were clean and comfortable. Vert good area, close to Taksim square. The staff was very friendly and helpfull.

One of the showers didn't have a curtain, so the whole bathroom turned into a pond. There was also no balcony or terrace, which would be really nice.

Avevo prenotato questo ostello su Booking.com, spinto dalle recensioni che sembravano nella norma. Purtroppo, una volta arrivato, la realtà è stata completamente diversa. Al mio arrivo mi fanno accomodare in una sorta di spazio utilizzato contemporaneamente come reception, cucina, sala comune e area di lavoro. Chiedo di poter utilizzare il bagno e mi indicano quello di una stanza dove alcune persone stavano ancora dormendo. Già lì trovo due scarafaggi morti. Inizialmente penso che possa trattarsi di un problema occasionale: la struttura si trova al piano interrato e c'era anche lo scarico della doccia aperto, quindi cerco di non dare troppo peso alla cosa. Torno nella stanza principale, mi siedo su un divanetto e dopo qualche minuto mi rendo conto dell'assurdo: LA STANZA ERA PIENA DI SCARAFAGGI. Non uno o due. Camminavano ovunque e indisturbati. Salivano sulle sedie, passavano sotto le porte e si muovevano liberamente per tutta la stanza. A un certo punto ne ho visto persino uno arrampicarsi verso una brandina sulla quale una persona stava ancora riposando. La cosa che mi ha lasciato ancora più incredulo è che tutto questo avveniva davanti alla ragazza della reception e a quella che credo fosse la persona proprietaria/gestore della struttura, che sembravano completamente tranquilli e abituati alla situazione. Ho immediatamente fatto presente il problema e me ne sono andato. Capisco che in una struttura situata al piano interrato possano occasionalmente entrare degli insetti. Vedere però numerosi scarafaggi vivi che circolano liberamente in reception e nelle aree comuni è tutt'altra cosa. Per me è una questione di igiene e sicurezza che non può essere minimizzata. Ragazzi, con queste cose non si scherza. EVITATE ASSOLUTAMENTE QUESTA STRUTTURA.

Maybe it's just not what I'm used to, but the shower not having a divider between it and the toilet was odd. Water pooled everywhere in the bathroom.

Premièrement les photos sur booking ne reflétaient pas la réalité, deuxièmement l’équipement était usé dans un très mauvais état, le AC n’a probablement pas été nettoyé depuis longtemps donc il envoyé de la poussière. Le frigo ne marchait pas et puait, le coffre fort brisé. Il y avait de la moisissure , j’avais du mal à respirer la nuit, j’ai d’ailleurs quitté après une nuit. Les serviettes et literie n’étaient pas propre, et l’accueil n’a pas été des plus agréables. D’ailleurs considérant les circonstances nous avons demandé une compensations ou un remboursement, ne serait-ce que partiel et l’établissement a refusé à trois reprises. J’ai dû booker un hôtel ailleurs. Je voyage beaucoup et j’ai été dans plusieurs auberges mais celle-ci a été une très mauvaise expérience.

A cama era um pouco apertada e havia poucos sítios para pendurar coisas.

El lugar me encantó porque desde que llegué me recibieron con una sonrisa, siempre predispuestos para ayudarme y darme consejos sobre lugares a visitar y como me convenía ir. Está cerca de muchos lugares. El cuarto, el baño, la cocina, siempre limpios y ordenados y los visitantes siempre respetaron las reglas del lugar de no hacer ruido luego de las 22 hs lo que es muy importante. Recomiendo totalmente que se alojen allí. Es un lugar muy acogedor. Espero volver algun día!

Zdecydowanie lokalizacja jest wielkim plusem hostelu, który znajduje się blisko Taksim Square. Pomocna obsługa hostelu służy wsparciem przy zameldowaniu i w czasie pobytu. Jakość hostelu adekwatna do ceny.

Infrastruktura w pokojach wieloosobowych uboga - brak półeczki na jakikolwiek przedmiot osobisty.

L'hôte est très gentil et aidant pour une galère personnelle. L'emplacement est top, proche de la place Taksim, sans en avoir les inconvénients du bruit et de la fréquentation. Casiers top. Il y a des rideaux. Cuisine a disposition, je ne l'ai pas utisé, je ne peux en dire plus. Il y a de l'eau filtrée à volonté. Service de laverie à 50m pour 500TL (env. 9,5€ et lavage, séchage et pliage. cash seulement).

J'étais dans un dortoir en sous sol (il y a une petite terrasse d'ailleurs). Les odeurs tout au long du séjour ont été très désagréables (cigarette, égouts et non déterminé). Je suis sensible aux odeurs, cela m'a régulièrement dérangée et fait donc baisser la note. Le matin, la porte grande ouverte vers le salon commun pour aérer et donc, avoir les bruits et odeurs, alors que l'on pouvait prévoir une grasse matinée ou vouloir de la tranquillité.

El trato del personal. Mi vuelo tuvo un retraso y me aseguraron que me esperarían. Todo salió muy bien! La ubicación perfecta en el centro.

Bon rapport qualité prix, situation géographique, se situe dans une impasse en face d'un hôtel ! La cuisine et l'espace commun sont au niveau de la réception ! Lit correct, et casiers prévoir cadenas. Une douche pour les dortoirs situés au 1er étage, mais affaire d'organisation ! (parfois certaines personnes ont peur de se salir les mains avec la raclette !) Propreté bien effectué par le personnel ! A proximité Minimarket, 7Days (carrefour express) et Cappuccino au café Wekent (Université), rues adjacentes Cafés et restaurants self service (Balkan Lokantasi) Adana 350TL, (Ayla Büfé), (Noodles), (Efes 50cl 160TL Irish pub Oldies Music 190 TL), (thé 25 TL), Barbier (500TL), Change Office à proximité Taxim ou rue principale (Dollars Coef 45, Euros coef 53) et shopping... Eventuellement si besoin de changement : Hôtel à proximité "Fidan" (Bon rapport Qualité-Prix). Si bon(ne) marcheur(se) le côté occidental se visite à pied ! Havasbus (airport 440TL) Havais (CB 460 TL Airport IST)

Silence 22h à 7h : Sommeil parfois difficile compte tenu du parking à proximité et travaux extérieur, et "Effet efes du soir garanti avec ronfleur sans gêne" ! (Mais ce n'est pas la cause de l'Hostel, c'est dommageable pour l'accueil de l'hostel)

Great location, only a 3-4 minute walk to Taksim and Istiklal Street. The beds were clean and comfortable, and the hostel is located in the beautiful Cihangir neighborhood. A great choice if you’re looking for a central and budget-friendly place to stay.

Very good location, staff and owners very friendly. Good price/value. I'm an off-road person, so I was fine as long as there was AC in the room and a comfortable bed, and it was.

The bathroom is getting a lot of mold and it's said to keep it shut when not using, which makes the whole humidity problem worse. I'd recommend using flip-flops if you go there.

First of all, the mattress has piece of steel out of and can hurt the person, the toilet is not ventilated well and the smell is very bad. The toilet has no base or cover.

Very cozy and clean. Comfortable bed. Great location. Kitchen is good. Volunteer staff are great and the owner is also very nice. I stayed in a few places in Istanbul and this was by far the most comfortable and friendly. Highly recommend!

This is a simple but very friendly hostel, a great way to enjoy Beyoğlu without the noise and congestion, and save money!

It is pretty cramped and the kitchen is hard to make food in, but the communal atmosphere compensates for everything.

Excelente ubicación

I stayed in a four-bed dorm for five days. There are drawers in the room, but bring your own lock. The staff keeps things quiet, which is good. It's a true international hostel. I'd stay here again. Greetings from Vladivostok.

Some hostels compensate for the low price with additional paid services. Bath towels are available for a fee. To ensure quiet, there's a stove restriction between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. I couldn't have an early breakfast because of the time shift, but that's a minor detail.

The hostel is walking distance from the bus stop where you can take the airport bus to and from Sabiha Gokcen International Airport. Rodin Hostel is also near Taksim Square, Istiklal Caddesi, Galata Tower and Taksim Metro station.

The hostel was initially difficult to find as there's no proper signboard. The landmark is that it's behind a small otopark. I took a private room with ensuite bathroom. Although the bed and linen were relatively clean, the bathroom and room was run down and not cleaned. The safe door was left ajar and couldn't close. Everything was dusty. When I first entered the room, four towels were hanging behind the bathroom door; I was unsure whether they were used by the previous guest or not as fresh towels are usually placed folded on the bed. The hostel is rated 4-star in Google Maps which is completely not accurate for such kind of facilities.

Posizione eccellente, letti comodi bella stanza e personale molto disponibile e amichevole, mi è piaciuto molto come ambiente e sicuramente tornerei a soggiornare qui quando torno a Istanbul

The location is near with Taksim

For the price, you can add a bit and get a one room hotel few km away from Sultanahmet. The bunk bed falling off when I climb on it. The whole hostel is so narrow as it is just a basement.

Les photos ne reflètent pas l'endroit. Ressortir à l'extérieur pour accéder chambre. Réception, cuisine et salon dans la même petite pièce pour tout le monde (25 m2 maxi), et donc omniprésence du patron qui semble tout surveillé avec des rappels à l'ordre. Arrêt cuisine 20h...

Very disappointing experience. The rooms were not clean, the bathrooms smelled bad, and the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful most of the time. Wi-Fi barely worked, the beds were uncomfortable, and the noise at night made it impossible to sleep. The photos online looked much better than the actual place. Definitely not worth the money. I would not stay here again.

Smack dab in the middle of wild wonderful Istanbul and more (supermarkets, produce stands, sights, metros, transports, shops, antique, eateries of all wantings). Full kitchen, clean, meaningful staff, nice common area for raucous fun conversations or just mellow yellow quiet cool to music/ self.

A bit hard to find the place since reception is downstairs and signage is vague. Suggestions: a sandwich board (replaceable and informative) and instructions for guests to walk further in from the parking lot.

We liked the location and price. They also have filtered water in the kitchen, so you can bring your bottle and use this one instead of buying water at the store. Also, the communication with the hostel was ok - they always responded when we had problems.

First, it is strange that there was no info about payment at the arrival as I had to provide my card details via booking beforehand. Beside that, hostel is not the newest one and for few days we had problems with water - there was no warm/hot water in the shower. The two people bed is really small and it includes only one duvet, so we had to ask for a second one, however there wasn’t any and we got a cover. Generally, it’s a low standard, so you should have big expectations. PS Don’t be surprised if you see a cockroach.

A nice place for a budget stay. The location is very convenient, just a short walk from Taksim Square. The host was very attentive and helpful, even assisting us with carrying our luggage to the room. Overall, a comfortable stay with great hospitality.

Durante varios días no hubo agua caliente en las mañanas pero llamando a recepción lo solucionaban en un rato, pero aún así era incómodo.

The hotel is 5 minutes from Taksim Square. It is quite convenient to get around. They have very attentive staff, they even checked us in early and left our bags after checkout.
