Lovely hosats,fantastic breakfast pans comfortablp room

Nous sommes restées 3 nuits : nous avons apprécié l’accueil et la gentillesse des hôtes, la disponibilité et les services rendus. En effet nous avons pu louer directement un scooter depuis le logement pour se rendre facilement sur Sigiriya (à peine 10min), et sur Dambulla (20min). Les petits déjeuners et dîners sont très bons et fait sur place.

Le seul hic durant notre séjour serait l’eau de la piscine qui était trouble.

The quiet location was also a huge plus, and seeing elephants walking past the property in the evening was a unique experience! Definitely to be recommended

We hadden onze plannen gewijzigd last minute waardoor ook de taxi rit verplaatst moest worden. Zij regelen dit voor ons en was erg prettig. Mooie rustige plek. Heerlijk om met die warme temperaturen nog even in het zwembad te plonzen. Boomhut is een leuke kamer

De A/C was erg oud en kon je in de nacht vanwege de herrie die hij maakte niet aan zetten

We sliepen in een boomhut met uitzicht op de tuin, dat was echt heerlijk. Vanaf het balkon kon je apen, varanen, eekhoorns, prachtige vogels en meer wildleven zien. Het was echt fijn om daar te zitten en gewoon te genieten. Het ontbijt was ook zeer goed verzorgd, heerlijk fruit, toast, pannenkoeken en ander lekkers kwam voorbij. De boomhut zelf is voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt, maar niet in de luxe van een hotel. Dit was volkomen logisch en het voldeed prima. Wij hebben genoten van ons verblijf hier en komen graag een keer terug als we weer op het prachtige eiland zijn!

Présence d’une belle végétation. Calme. Personnel discret et très gentil. Piscine verte durant notre séjour mais hyper agréable après les excusions.

Pas vraiment un problème mais les chambres sont très minimalistes. Cabanne en hauteur un peu trop sombre pour moi et impossible de rentrer les sacs de tout le monde car tout l’espace de la pièce était occupé par les 2 lits en 140. Donc heureusement il ne pleuvait pas et certains sacs ont pu rester dehors sur le balcon. Certains logement sont moins originaux mais carrelés et plus clairs.

Alles war schön im Grünen. Die Leute sind wie immer freundlich und hilfsbereit. Verlässlich auch bei Tipps zu Ausflügen wie einer Safari. Der Pool ist okay, könnte aber mal ein paar Reparaturen vertragen. Das Essen ist gut, auch für Kids gut geeignet, die Preise sind gut. Da alles frisch gemacht wird, kommt besser nicht erst wenn die Kids am verhungern sind.

The tree house was amazing, had a great veranda and made the stay really special. The owner was very helpful and organised transport and tours at competitive prices. Overall great value for money.

The pool was a little dirty and the additional room we had looked over the restaurant and was small and a bit noisy. Definitely go for one of the tree houses if possible!

Wr recently stayed at osheen Homestay in Sigiriya, and it was a fantastic experience. The property is located very close to Sigiriya Rock Fortress, offering scenic views and a peaceful atmosphere away from the tourist crowds. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all basic amenities. One of the standout features is the beautifully maintained swimming pool, which was a perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing in the tropical heat.

We werden hartelijk ontvangen! We kwamen eerder aan dan verwacht dus moesten even wachten tot het huisje klaar was. Onder het genot van een drankje en uitleg van de lieve hostess was dat geen probleem. We wilden graag dezelfde avond een cookingclass volgen en dat werd meteen geregeld. We hebben er van genoten! Onze kids van 6 en 10 werden op een leuke, speelse manier meegenomen in het kook proces. Dilki, nogmaals bedankt voor deze ervaring! Ook hebben we onze was hier laten doen. Dit was de volgende ochtend, keurig opgevouwen en super zacht klaar. De dag erna zijn we naar de Pidurangala rots geweest. Dit werd ook weer door de eigenaren geregeld. Tip: doe dit! De rots ligt wat afgelegen en PickMe drivers rekenen hier een forse prijs. De enthousiaste driver van de tuktuk liet ons nog allemaal extra dingen onderweg zien zoals de mooiste Viewpoints om de rotsen te kunnen zien en fotograferen. Het ontbijt was heerlijk en we vertrokken met een beetje pijn in ons hart de volgende dag naar ons volgende onderkomen. Lieve mensen!! Nogmaals bedankt voor dit heerlijke onderkomen. We hebben intens genoten!

De wifi werkte niet altijd goed maar hebben we niet als vervelend ervaren.

Mooie locatie en heel veel dieren (apen, vogels, vlinders, eekhoorns) in de tuin om te bewonderen. Vriendelijke mensen en lekkere ontbijtjes.

De foto op de site toon een huisje dat helemaal niet op het park staat. Dit huisje was wel driehoekig maar veel kleiner en de badkamer was zeer matig ingericht en de wc lekte. Ook was het zwembad troebel. Hele fijne plek met vriendelijke mensen, maar dit moet echt anders en beter.

De familiekamer is ruim (zelfs met 3 bedden), en de airconditioning is heel effectief en stil. Het terrasje is leuk om vertoeven.

Van het eten (ontbijt, lunch) hadden we op basis van andere reviews meer verwacht.

Personnel parfait. Très accueillant et arrangeant. Chambre propre avec Clim + moustiquaire + ventilateur. Hotel calme en retrait de la route. Tarifs avantageux négociés pour nous concernant le trajet depuis l’aéroport puis vers chacune de nos excursions. Promenade improvisée au bord d’un lac au milieu des rizières proposée par un membre du personnel qui a pris le temps de nous accompagner. Les 2 enfants des jeunes propriétaires participent à créer une ambiance familiale très agréable. Tout s’est si bien passé que nous avons rajouté une 3e nuit. Nous y avons également fait un cours de cuisine merveilleux. Merci pour ce séjour. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir.

Cute, quiet stay just outside of Sigiriya. The room was private, clean and comfortable with aircon. Staff were brilliant and breakfast was delicious.

The shower room could do with a little help but other than that all good.

Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Es gab ein sehr reichhaltiges Frühstück mit täglich neuen Spezialitäten. Das Team war sehr freundlich. Lage sehr gut, alle Sehenswürdigkeiten nach kurzer Tuktuk-Fahrt erreichbar. Wir haben den Pool täglich benutzt um uns in der Mittagshitze abzufrischen. Auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker und sehr große Portionen.

Un léger bémol pour l’eau de la piscine un peu laiteuse souvent signe d’un ajustement de PH, ou d’un manque de filtration constant mais cela n’a en aucun cas entravé notre note de 10

It was a great place to stay, the house was really clean, we had amenities like a fridge, kettle and tea. The place was really nice, like a little jungle, but close to a few restaurants and shops. There was an electric heater for the shower so there was no problem with hot water. There was a water squeezer in the bathroom which helped to drain the water after the shower, which was really convenient. The hosts were really nice and we liked the breakfast too.

The best breakfast I had in my 1 month trip. You get all the local delicacies they have, Sri Lankan pancakes, coconut muffins and more. We had dinner once, a lot of different dishes, very tasty and super cheap. The cabin is located in the forest, we saw monkeys on the trees in the morning, even an elephant passed by at night. (It's still safe, don't worry) You have a spacious room and a clean bathroom. The air conditioning worked well too. The owners are very kind, considerate and friendly. You should increase your prices for what you offer. :)

We had an amazing stay! Although the property is close to the road, it truly felt like being in the jungle. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and helpful - they assisted us in organizing all of our trips at very reasonable prices. The food they served was delicious, and the beer was always cold :) We especially loved the pool, it was the perfect place to cool off after long, hot days.

Stayed at this homestay for 4 nights and had such a lovely time there. The owners are so warm and friendly and can’t do enough for you. The room with the private pool is spacious, with air con and the pool is clean and a really calm space. Also a resident peacock that likes to hang out nearby! Breakfast everyday was slightly different and lots of delicious bread snacks and fruit. We had our laundry done too which was quick and cheap! They also arranged a cooking class for us down the road which was super fun and huge! This was all with a baby, so also baby friendly place! Highly recommend.

Location a bit far from restaurants in Sigiriya. Tree houses are rustic, gaps in boards and stairs to the double a bit wobbly. We moved to a standard double which was clean but smelled damp. Value probably ok but there may be nicer places for just a bit more money.

The treehouse rooms were cute but the garden rooms were not great.

We had an amazing stay! The hospitality was truly amazing, the hosts were incredibly kind, caring, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The location is great, and the people here are wonderful. They offered to pick us up/drop us off everywhere, and they even arranged a driver for us. We also went on a safari with them, which was absolutely amazing. We felt well taken care of throughout our stay - highly recommended!

A beautiful and peaceful place surrounded by trees, great for a stay in Sigiriya. It was a great place to stay, the house was really clean, we had amenities like a fridge, kettle and tea. The room was a really good size and clean. The host was very friendly and helped us rent a scooter and recommended things to do while we were in Sigiriya. She also made us a delicious breakfast every morning - the coconut sambal was the best we had in Sri Lanka! We loved the place because it was in a great location for Sigiriya Rock and very easy to walk to restaurants. Everywhere we ate was delicious!

Short drive to Sigiryi (Lion Rock) which was great when wanting to climb for sunrise. Tasty breakfast that was different on two days we stayed and lots of tea and coffee. Lovely shady pool. We also ate dinner and it was delicious. They run a cooking course which we would have liked to have taken but we hadn’t allowed the time.

Our driver was uncomfortable about the sign that said he was not welcome which was a shame.

Tout était parfait. Nous avions une magnifique chambre avec vue sur la piscine et terrasse, et nous avons tellement adoré que nous sommes restés quatre nuits au lieu des trois prévues. Le petit-déjeuner était excellent et copieux. Nous avons pris la plupart de nos autres repas à la maison d'hôtes, car la nourriture était vraiment délicieuse et d'un excellent rapport qualité-prix. Nos hôtes ont tout fait pour que notre séjour soit parfait. Ils ont tout organisé pour nous : un massage dans un excellent spa, une excursion matinale en tuk-tuk jusqu'au Rocher du Lion et à Pidurangala pour admirer le lever du soleil, et un safari à dos d'éléphant dans leur propre jeep. Nous avons également participé à un cours de cuisine que nous recommandons vivement. La piscine est propre, de bonne taille et l'espace extérieur est très agréable pour se détendre.

Everything was perfect. The rooms were more beautiful and spacious than expected. The surroundings were beautiful with flowers. The owners were very nice. We also attended their cooking class. I can't even imagine the taste of Sri Lankan food. We will come back one day.👌

A beautiful place full of greenery. We really liked staying there. It's not too hot there. The breakfast is very plentiful and really delicious because of the trees. The food in their small restaurant is also very tasty. The rooms are very clean. Also, they are very helpful people. When we helped us with everything, we went on a beautiful open safari with them. We saw a lot of elephants and got a good driver. We really spent two days happily.

The swimming pool was a highlight for our kids—they thoroughly enjoyed spending time there. The overall experience was very enjoyable, thanks in large part to the warm and supportive staff, who were always attentive and eager to assist. Osheen homestay offers great value for money, and I would definitely recommend it. The breakfast is fairly basic, with fruits and breads, but it is perfectly reasonable considering the price point. Overall, a comfortable and satisfying stay.

Der Pool und sein unmittelbares Umfeld. Das eine Zimmer ("deluxe") war in Ordnung, das andere ("DZ mit Gartenblick") unzumutbar - siehe unten

Unser Zimmer ("DZ mit Gartenblick", kaum billiger als "deluxe" aber 3 Klassen schlechter) war eng und feucht. Das Doppelbett steht an der Wand und man muss übereinander steigen. Es gab keinerlei Möbel zum Sachen auspacken, was bei 3 Nächten doch lästig ist. Alles war immer feucht. An der Tür waren cm breite Ritzen und das Moskitonetz hatte größere Risse. Im Bad lief das Wasser nach dem Duschen nicht ab. Direkt neben dem Zimmer schwelte ein offenes Feuer (Müll?). Ausserdem standen Pfützen auf dem unbeleuchteten Weg zwischen den Zimmern. Von der Einfahrt zum Zimmer tappt man auch im Dunkeln. Am ersten Morgen gab es kein Wasser, in der zweiten Nacht ist das Badezimmerregal zu Boden gekracht mit allem was darauf war (ein Cremetiegel ging kaputt) Touren oder Transport zu buchen ist möglich, aber man muss hartnäckig sein. Das Früstück war von unterschiedlicher Qualität.

It was a pleasure to stay at Ocean Homestay. The room was clean and spacious. The shower temperature and pressure were very good (the best of the six guesthouses we have stayed at in Sri Lanka so far). The host arranged a very good safari for us to Eco Park at a very reasonable price. The pool was a great touch and the breakfast was delicious and generous. We liked the quiet location away from the main tourist strip, yet still very central to access the attractions of Dambulla, Sigiriya and Polonnaruwa.
