Location was good, generally it is easy for us to get around with didi. The staff were attentive and helpful. Room was excellent - it was clean, big and spacious. There was a bathtub that was clean, and we used the nespresso machine daily.

How nice the ladies in the breakfast area were.

Had a cockroach in the bath in the morning! I came significantly later than what I was supposed to arrive due to flight cancellation. Apparently I got an upgrade, but instead i had a cockroach on the next morning flying in the bathroom! Room however was clean, although some furniture had some water bubbling, and were a bit used. Staff at the entrance were on their phone most of the time. And when I say I dont want to have my bag carried, means I dont want my bag carried. No need for almost forceful take of the bag! Annoying as hell!

Las camas son cómodas aunque son pequeñas.

La ubicación es pésima, lejos de todo, mínimo 1/2h a cualquier lugar de interés, la zona muy fea y oscura. La piscina cierra a las 6 y cuando llueve, no la pudimos utilizar ningún día. No está en la azotea. La wifi es muy lenta. Teníamos una habitación de luxe en la planta 12 con vistas a ninguna parte, la planta 30 es la executive y no se puede subir.

Zentral gelegen zu vielen Restaurants und der U-Bahn. Die Einrichtung ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber alles funktionierte. Die Zimmer sind ausreichend groß und komfortabel ausgestattet. Besonders gut fanden wir, dass es einen Außenpool gab. Die Auswahl beim Frühstück war sowohl an lokalen wie auch an westlichen Speisen relativ groß und die Qualität insgesamt gut.

Am Pool wären mehr Liegen wünschenswert, und die Aufsicht war teilweise nicht konsequent, was das Verhalten bestimmter Erwachsener anging. Kinder hingegen wurden recht konsequent an das Einhalten von Regeln erinnert.

Sehr modernes und sauberes Hotel in toller Lage, direkt neben der U-Bahn. Das Personal war freundlich und hilfsbereit. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Frühstück – wirklich unfassbar gut, mit einer tollen Auswahl!

Der Pool ist etwas klein Dachterasse mit Pool etwas klein/ungepflegt Für lokale Verhältnisse relativ hohes Preis generell - dafür aber auch sehr hochwertig

Llegábamos de madrugada tras un retraso en el vuelo por el tema del tifón, les pedí si nos podían ir a buscar y el precio era desorbitado. Somos 4 personas y las camas eran un poco justas para dormir dos personas en cada cama

Property was in a nice location with a good selection of restaurants within walking distance. Room was spacious and the bathroom was quite nice. Breakfast was pretty good with a fair selection of food.

The location is a little out of the city centre but only 3 short metro stops or a short taxi ride away fron the hustle and bustle. For us the more quiet was preferable. The gym was well equipped and the rooms were decent and clean.

The swimming pool is a little bit smaller than expected and lacked all the comfortable facilities. But still sufficient for our needs

The location was fantastic, the facilities were great and the staff were excellent. The staff set up extra beds for the kids and made their stay extra special. Evan was particularly kind and helpful!

Brak widoku z basenu, śniadania mogły by być bardziej różnorodne i smaczniejsze. Dojście do metra około 12 minut.

The Hotel itself is great, has delicious breakfast. But the best is staff!! Extremely helpful- Zero, Timmy at the Thai restaurant, the consierge! They helped us a lot❤️ It was other second stay in Amara!

Eine Traumhafte Unterkunft mit sehr nette und Hilfsbereite Mitarbeitern. Frau Sinnie am Rezeption hat uns ganz Herzlich im Empfang genommen und für unser jegliche Fragen war zum Verfügung und alle Wünsche ganz Schnell und unkompliziert beseitigt. Sie hat für uns 3 schöne Zimmern besser als was wir gebucht haben, in höhere Kategorie uns gegeben. Herr Zero Zhang ist ein Gentleman und hat uns sehr nett geholfen in jegliche Art und überall mit allem Sachen unterstützt. Alle Mitarbeitern am Rezeption und Restaurant und auch Reinigungsfrau auf Ebene 11 waren ganz lieb und nett und auch Hilfsbereit. Was mir sehr gut gefallen hat, alles wurde uns ganz schnell und Zeitnah erledigt und beseitigt. Herr Solomon Wang hat uns ganz leckere kuchen aus seinem Konditorei serviert. Vielen vielen Dank, gerne komme ich wieder.

Superb open air swimming pool and a restaurant service at most hours of the day from what I could gather.

I think this hotel is missing a trick not turning the foyer into a bar area. This hotel has an elegant and trendy vibe to it but not a clear space for residence to be social. If they could replicate the scene around the pool area at the front lobby, nobody would leave to go out.

Schöne Zimmer, sehr bequeme Betten, Badewanne mit Ausblick auf Shanghai. Alles sehr sauber und modern. Sehr freundliches Personal. Gutes Frühstück mit effizienter Eierstation. Nur rund 200m bis zur U-Bahn.

Large rooms, friendly staff.

Nice with an outdoor pool whixg is not common. The hotel could invest more in the pool area with more sunbeds, umbrellas and lounge chairs to make it more atractive.

Very clean and friendly staff! I got helped with receiving many Taobao packages and I am very thankful for that. The cleaning lady was lovely.

الفندق بشكل عام جيد، لكن المنطقة المحيطة به شعبية وقديمة، والشارع أسفله ليس الأفضل. الحمام لا يحتوي على شطاف، كما أنه مفتوح من الأعلى على الغرفة، وهذا يسبب دخول الروائح ويقلل من الخصوصية. الفناء الخارجي يحتاج إلى اهتمام وصيانة أكثر، لكنه مقبول. من ناحية الأجواء، الفندق حار نوعًا ما، واضطررت إلى تشغيل المكيف على درجة منخفضة طوال الوقت حتى تكون الغرفة مريحة. كذلك منطقة الإفطار كانت حارة. الإفطار خياراته محدودة، لكنه مقبول. من المميزات وجود باص مجاني ينقلك إلى المطار وإلى ديزني، لكن يعمل في أوقات محددة فقط. بشكل عام، الفندق مقبول وليس سيئًا، لكنه يحتاج إلى بعض التحسينات ليكون أفضل.

Reasonable and comfortable stay

The room was very spacious. Facilities were fine and clean. The staff was also very friendly. The location was fine. The next metro station is about a 10min walk away. In general I was happy with the accommodation.

Our family enjoyed our stay at Amara. The breakfast was the best we have had in China! The kids had fun at the pool and the front desk, including John in the front and Molly Chang in the kitchen. The whole staff, were very helpful and pleasant.

Уборка номеров 2-а рпза в день, не плохие завтраки, расположение отеля. Сотрудница отеля по имени Бай Минся (白明霞), всегда была приветлива и отзывчивая на наши просьбы, и администратор ресторана девушка не помню имя, тоже очень была отзывчивая. Большое им спасибо!!! И в бассейн спокойно пускают без шапочки, в предыдущи отзывах жаловались на данную проблему.

В день прилета, приехали в отель рано утром 05:40, шел тропический ливень мы промокли до нитки, попросили сделать раннее заселение, объяснили, что в день отъезда из отеля тоже будет ранний выезд, но понимания со стороны сотрудников отеля не получили. Ждали до 11:00 дня, после смены сотрудника на стойке регистрации оказалось, что возможность все таки есть и нас заселили. Этот момент испортил впечатления от выбора отеля и поездки! Также сотрудники отеля, как (минимум на стойке рнгистрации) практически не говорят по английски!

check in的時候等了特別久，前台的流程給人的感覺還有改善空間，因為幫我們辦入住的服務員三五步時會收到隔壁的服務員遞來的證件要複印之類的。不過客房服務特別好，連充電器的線都會幫忙捲起來。還有中央空調的關係，房間的溫度要一陣子才會達到設定的條件。客房整潔度良好，硬體設施偏老舊但乾淨，服務也還行，但前台服務的流程建議可以改善。

Spacious rooms with gym facilities

Bad communication within the different department of staffs. We put “do not disturb” throughout our trip but on the third day the front desk sent their housekeeping to clean up our entire room without our permission and left our pajamas originally on the bed in a dirty corner and our nicely stacked items were messed up totally, despite having the “do not disturb” sign turned ON. They offered washing services but ended up charging us and only waived off after we told them how ridiculous the situation is by disrespecting our privacy and anyhow dirtying our things and how much unhappiness and inconvenience they caused for us. We had to disinfect the entire room again. Also, there were MANY miscommunication within the staffs too - a staff told me to collect my delivery parcel the following morning when I check out for my early flight but ended up the staff on duty in the morning have no idea and have no access to the room with the delivery parcels and wanted to charge me delivery fee for sending my uncollected parcel to sg, else I should just apply for refund. By this time I’m super jaded and disappointed with all the services and miscommunication and I cannot be bothered to liaise or reply them anymore. Only some (but very few) staffs were great and helpful, like Evan and John. Otherwise the whole experience trying to communicate with them is horrible with the different department staffs seemingly unsure and pushing my query to other departments very disorganized.

Booked this hotel based on its strong ratings and because it is part of a well known Singapore hotel brand. Unfortunately, the overall stay was disappointing and did not meet the expectations set by the brand reputation and online reviews. The most significant issue during our stay was the cigarette smoke smell. We were initially assigned a non-smoking room on Level 15, where both the corridor and the room had a strong cigarette odour. Housekeeping attempted to assist with air freshener and an air purifier, but neither resolved the issue. We were subsequently moved to another room, only to encounter the same problem. A third room on Level 17 also had the same smoke smell from the corridor to the room. It was only after being relocated to a room on Level 25 that the issue was finally resolved. It took multiple room changes before a suitable solution was found, with the explanations that guests in Shanghai hotels commonly smoke in rooms. This is particularly concerning for families travelling with young children and guests who may have respiratory sensitivities. While the initial handling of the room issue was disappointing and at times felt dismissive, we appreciate that Sinnie and Lena took ownership of the situation later on, apologised for the inconvenience. Their service recovery helped improve an otherwise frustrating experience. Another area that left a poor impression was the concierge experience. During our first interaction, while we were trying to sort out missing parcels, one of the concierge staff repeatedly attempted to promote the hotel’s airport transfer service despite being informed that we had already made our own arrangements. He continued asking about the price we had paid elsewhere and persisted with the hotel’s airport transfer service. What made this more frustrating was that the same concierge staff member raised the airport transfer service again the following evening when we returned to collect additional parcels.

The view from the room and how spacious the room was. The staff were amazing and very helpful. Special mention to Mollly Chen, Yana Li and Sam Li who helped me with sterelising all my baby items every day. Would highly recommend and book again.

The environment, restaurant, room everything was excellent especially the staff. They were extremely helpful in every matter. Our bathroom door got locked and Bai Ming Xia who was incharge of our room helped us immediately. She was an extremely kind and hospitable lady. We appreciate her hardwork so much and acknowledge her joyful character. She made our stay a lot vetter

The all day restaurant service was very very poor. Had to ask on our food multiple times and came an hour later ( we were the only customers there) food came out cold.was not happy about that and never went back

My room was kept tidy and clean, and I was well supplied with bottled water by the cleaning staff led by Ms. Came Sun. Thanks to her, I didn't have to go buy water in bulk from the convenience store.

The pillows can't hold their shape throughout the night, which caused problems with my neck and back as I slept. I start sleeping on one pillow and have to end the night sleeping on a stack of three. If you have issues similar to mine, its best to pack your own pillow with you. The chairs are also really old and could use replacing, as the seats all tilt towards the front so its difficult to keep your butt in the chair.

Brood bij het ontbijt was niet zo lekker. Terwijl je wel lekker brood kunt krijgen in Shanghai. Voor de rest enorme keuze en prima!

Andy and his team are doing a great job, I was there with my family and it was amazing. Started already with reception all are friendly and helpful, all the rooms are very clean, also the cleaning staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great, so much choice, unbelievable. We often used public transport, as underground station is nearby 6-7min walk. Shops are nearby. All was perfect! Thanks to the great team again.

Great stay with fantastic staff and location We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is super convenient, with convenience stores, supermarkets, and a subway station all just a short walk away. The room was tidy, spacious, and comfortable. Great water pressure in the shower and a really comfy bed.
