We hebben een ontzettend fijn verblijf gehad bij Terance Dale. De mensen zijn ontzettend aardig, gastvrij en denken echt met je mee. Je voelt je meteen welkom. De locatie is prachtig en ligt op een stukje lopen van het centrum, maar dit is heel goed te doen. De kamer was heel schoon en smaakvol ingericht. Ook het ontbijt was iedere ochtend weer een feestje. Elke dag werd er iets anders vers bereid en alles smaakte heerlijk. Daarnaast kregen we veel fijne tips over wat we konden doen en zien in de omgeving.

Terrance Dale is beautifully decorated with comfortable beds, a well-stocked pantry, and a very nice, modern bathroom. Dax, the owner, is extremely attentive and took really good care of us for the duration of stay. He gave great recommendations for places ro eat, hang out, etc. and he even assisted us with bookings for activities n cars. He offered us an all-round experience for our short stay in Kochi, and we truly hope to be able to visit again soon.

Terance Dale has exceeded my expectations.. I was travelling for my friend’s wedding and the property matched my requirements. Dax is a fabulous, friendly and kind host which makes the whole stay worthwhile. The images shown of the room is exactly the same and no discrepancies between the photos. You don’t have to think twice before choosing this homestay for your next Fort Kochin visit. Uber is easily available and no mosquito around this place.

The room was beautiful and was lovely and cool when we walked in. A tray with mineral water and some light snacks was provided in the room. Bathroom was lovely and owner Dax was very welcoming and helpful.

Beautiful breakfast and beautiful host. Highlight - one of the best rooms we had in India. Excellent mattress. Wonderful feeling of walking back in the well air-conditioned and clean room. Very attentive, good breakfast, all in all, fully recommended.

Location was a bit further than all the fun stuff, but a short tuk-tuk ride sorted all that.

Really clean and comfortable. Breakfast was lovely and Dax was very helpful in organising taxis, giving recommendations etc.

Having been on the road around India for 8 weeks prior to my stay I needed somewhere to recharge my batteries. Terence Dale not only provided the most relaxing few days, it was so wonderful I didn’t want to leave. The rooms are huge, clean and extremely comfortable and quiet. The breakfast is delicious and set in such a lovely room. But most of all Dax, the owner and his lovely son couldn’t have been friendlier or more helpful. Even though I was there for a short time they acted as though I was a part of the family. An absolutely first class place.

The location of the stay was fantastic and super close to all the places we needed to visit. Dax and his wife were absolutely wonderful hosts and the rooms were beyond fantastic. Everything was super thoughtfully put together and the breakfasts were delicious. Cannot wait to visit again!

В меру обильные и очень вкусные завтраки в семейном ресторанчике на крыше гостиницы. Чистота и покой, которые редко можно встретить в южной Индии. Ну и конечно хозяин - добрый волшебник, который словно сошел со страниц Махабхараты, виртуоз мудрых бесед и помощи в любой мелочи. Из одной только возможности встретиться и поговорить с ним ещё раз будем ждать новой поездки в незабываемую Кералу.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt zum Ankommen in Indien. DAX und seine Familie sind ganz tolle Menschen und wir haben uns pudelwohl gefühlt. Dax's homestay is very comfortable and relaxing. I immediately felt welcome and at home. My room was very spacious. Breakfast was a highlight. Dax or his sister-in-law served South Indian breakfast, explaining the different dishes and were charming interested hosts. The location is quiet and a short auto ride or 20-minute walk from the centre of Fort Kochi.

Everything was thoughtfully designed and meticulously prepared – it's clear that the host family goes above and beyond to make their guests feel truly welcome. The rooms are impeccably clean! The furniture is carefully chosen and of excellent quality. Breakfast features authentic local cuisine, offering a great opportunity to learn about traditional Indian food. (A few reviews mention limited options – but if you're traveling in India, embrace the chance to try genuine flavors instead of expecting the world to cater to Western tastes!) Dax also arranged a wonderful backwater trip that perfectly fit our tight schedule due to my afternoon work meetings. The driver he organized was humble, friendly, and incredibly knowledgeable – he shared insights about the area, drove safely, and even made sure we ate well (without any extra incentive!). Dax has been a wonderful host, he gave us good suggestions for Kochi but also for our next stops. He sat with us during breakfast and told us about Kochi, the culture and various anecdotes.

I stayed at Terrance Dale for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The place was clean, comfortable, and had a very homely vibe. The host( Dax )was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Located in the heart of Fort Kochi, it was easy to explore the area. I would definitely recommend this homestay to anyone visiting the city!

I am so glad I found this little gem. The host was incredible. Welcomed us with a great big smile in the middle of the night. Communication prior was excellent, Dax had arranged for a taxi to pick us up from the airport. We had everything we needed in the spacious and spotless room. Even toothpaste! Dax really thoughts of everything. Good wifi. Excellent recommendations for local restaurants (plenty of them). And also excellent advice for what to see and do in the area. Excellent location. Dax knows the area inside out and had lots of interesting facts to share with us. Delicious traditional Kerala breakfast in the morning. Would highly recommend!

Where shall we start? The breakfast with very nice home cooked food and the nice talks with Dax and family. The advice on how to get about in Cochin. The nicely decorated villa and room. Very good location with the main entrance on KB Jacob Road. This also means easy access towards the coast and almost straight line to the centre of cochin. Dax has been waiting and accommodating us at late hour arrival - with patience, good vibes and a tasty water melon juice. The room is very comfortable - and the candies provided are a delight.

The stay is well appointed, ultra clean, spacious and very comfortable. The host Dax and his wife were lovely, we enjoyed the chats during breakfast and getting a download of places to visit and the local culture.

Everything. From the moment after a 26 hour journey - it was perfect. The room was spotless and everything had been thought of. Most importantly - our hosts Dax and Dina were incredible. As was Dax’s friend who joined us at breakfasts (which were also excellent and so tasty). This was an experience - we learnt about local culture and experience. Suggestions on places to go and restaurants / local dishes. They helped us find a tailor (who was excellent), even gave us a lift there, arranged money to be exchanged. Nothing was too much. We booked because of the excellent reviews- trust me they are so well deserved. So glad we did not go for a soul less resort.

Leaving

We had the most wonderful time staying at Dax and Diana's lovely properly. The room was very aesthetically done up and very well maintained. The hosts were super gracious with their support, inputs on sightseeing/restaurants aa well as the delicious breakfast that Diana put together for us. Looking forward to coming back to their property once again! Thank you for the memories, Dax and Diana!

The property is exactly as depicted in the photos—serene, beautiful, and peaceful. The space is exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The hosts are highly proactive and helpful, ensuring all requests are promptly addressed - and going out of their way to make a request I had to happen within a couple of hours. This is true service and I am deeply appreciative. The breakfast is too GOOD! The location is easy to find on Google Maps, making it convenient for visitors. Overall, this is an excellent destination, and I look forward to visiting again.

We really appreciated our stay in this homestay... The room is charged with the charme of the old time atmosphere, plenty of small delightful details in the furniture and arrangements. Super clean. The hosts, Dex and Diana, make you feel really at home. Warm welcome, juicy breakfast with plenty of choice. Dex is incredibly helpful, arranging a beautiful tour in the backwaters and plenty of good advice on local restaurants and things to do. Top experience, I'm already dreaming of coming back! The address is very central in Fort Kochi, you can easily walk to all points of interest.

Stayed at this homestay and absolutely loved it! It felt so cozy and comfortable, just like home. The food was amazing, everything was super clean, and the vibe was super friendly and welcoming. They even had little extras that made things easier. Totally recommend it if you’re looking for a chill and homely place to stay!

Our bedroom decor was absolutely stunning. The bedroom was like you were in a 5* hotel but at incredibly cheap prices. They even had tea and snacks for you to help yourselves to! The shower had very good pressure and was reliably warm (which we found a rarity during our time in India!). The host family were so welcoming and the breakfasts were delicious. Definitely the best place we have stayed in in India, and by far one of the cheapest.

This is more of a one to watch for future guests rather than a negative as its nature! But there were a lot of mosquitos at the entrance to the property so bring bug spray!

They delivered an excellent job. - All highlights of Fort Kochi on walking distance.

- Entrance hard to find the first time. Google maps points to the wrong street. Entrance is at the KB Jacob Rd. Maybe good to put up a sign. - Many mosquitos (but hosts are doing everything to keep them outside of the rooms).

If you are looking for Home stay in Fort Cochin, then I would definitely recommend Terance Dale. Dax and his family are an amazing host and you would be delighted by their hospitality ! Rooms are absolutely clean and even better than most of the hotel rooms. Really appreciate the special care they have shown towards our little one !

What a great experience!! Their hospitality is far beyond the usual. We stayed with a bunch of friends on an impromptu plan and everyone was happy with the stay. The rooms were spacious and cozy and they could accommodate extra beds. The host gave us a tour of the entire property, all rooms are thoughtfully put up with personal touches and attention to detail is second to none. They were offering us local tips, sharing stories of the area, and even prepared a homemade breakfast which was a true treat.

Make sure you ask for instructions on how to find Terance Dale before arrival. It is off the main road

I had to do an early check in due to the arrival of my flight and I informed them hoping that they would accommodate, which they gladly said they would and when I got there, Diana was sweet enough to stay awake and welcome me with a tray of sandwiches and fruits so that I won’t be hungry. They sure knew how to make you feel at home. It was a very warm experience!

Must stay for 1. Exceptional rooms for a Homestay, with a regal old Cochin feel. Neatly kept and promptly cleaned. 2. The hosts were very hospitable and making sure we felt comfortable. They even provided us with a cradle for our infant when I shared with them that my baby is used to it.

I had a wonderful stay! The owner was incredibly kind and went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable stay. From the warm welcome upon arrival to offering helpful local tips, it was clear that they genuinely cared about their guests' comfort. What lovely hidden gem! I stayed here for a quick short visit to Fort Kochi. The owners were such warm and fantastic hosts! They even helped us plan an amazing day of sightseeing, making sure we made the best of our trip. Can’t wait to return!

It was beautiful, clean, modern and well appointed. AC worked well and the fridge was stocked with plenty of drinks and snacks. Dax and his family were very warm and welcoming. They took time out to teach us about the culture and history of Ft. Kochi. Dina’s delicious meals were the highlight of our stay!

A little difficult to find but our Uber driver contacted Dax and he immediately picked up and met us on the street to help us with the bags.
