La casa è molto bella e pulita, i bagni nuovissimi, e gli spazi comuni molto accoglienti, ma soprattutto... c'è Mellisa ad accogliervi!!! Mellisa è un ospite fuori dal comune. Allegra, disponibile, super efficiente, pronta ad aiutarvi in qualsiasi cosa e a darvi i migliori consigli (del tutto disinteressati, tengo a precisarlo) su come muovervi in città. Bellissimo il tour delle backwaters proposto dalla struttura, davvero ben organizzato e piacevole. Buonissime le sue marmellate fatte in casa.

Io e il mio compagno siamo over 50, e con qualche acciacco, e abbiamo trovato i letti un po' scomodi (troppo morbidi), ma gli aspetti positivi del soggiorno hanno sicuramente prevalso su questo aspetto.

We had a wonderful time in this homestay, that we highly recommend to stay in Kochi. Our room was well organised, clean, and everything we needed was provided by our host. A special note fir the excellent food provided here, especially for breakfast (that we had every morning) and dinner (on request), living up to the expectations we had when booking this homestay and seeing all the good reviews on that matter ! Our host Mellisa was very understanding and helpful in our search for activities and places to visit in Kochi. She gave us very good advice on places to visit (itinerary for Fort Kochi and Matancherri), shops to check (spices, souvenirs …), restaurants to eat at, and even booked different activities for us, like a Kathakali representation and a canoe trip in the backwaters. She was very available for us and so kind, thank you again Mellisa ! - Charlotte and Julie

The location of the property is great it’s very very close to the fort kochi area, you can even easily walk over for dinner and lunch to some great restaurants. The rooms were clean and tidy and Melissa was super sweet and helpful.

The bathrooms could have been a little bit cleaner

Melissa was very helpful and kind with us and a really great cook and also organizing! It was our very first time and night in India and she cooked amazing Kerala food with all the love. We chatted for a while and she gave great recommendations! We also booked our driver to continue with the Kerala tour with them and also the Kathakali show. I really really really recommend our driver Shaa, he was the best! We had a lot of fun and he was a great driver and now friend. From Reds we could go everywhere with the Tuk-tuk and we loved it! Thank you Melisa!!!

Lovely property, slightly away from hustle of Fort Kochi which we liked. Mellisa is a superstar, she made our stay easy and comfortable, all her recommendations were great and she goes above and beyond to ensure you have a pleasant stay, she even upgraded our room halfway through our stay! Johnson the recommended TukTuk driver was a legend, gave great town tours!Breakfast was also yummy!

I had a truly wonderful experience staying at Reds Residency - Homestay in Fort Kochi. The rooms and bathrooms were spotlessly clean, and the overall ambience was excellent. From the very first day, Melissa was exceptional—she provided us with so much helpful information and made us feel right at home. She recommended a fantastic tuk-tuk driver named Johnson, who took us to all the must-see places around Fort Kochi. His service was outstanding and added so much value to our trip. Melissa also treated us to delicious homemade authentic Keralan breakfasts, which were a highlight of our mornings. She even went out of her way to book tickets for a Kathakali dance performance, which was an unforgettable experience. My partner and I only stayed at Reds Residency for one night as a stop-over, and we arrived pretty late, but the room was very comfortable and just what we needed. Although we didn't have much time, Mellisa was super friendly and helpful in the morning, showing us all the places to visit in Kochi and following up with messages and links to help us find our way around! Would definitely recommend!

Melissa gave us lots of recommendations in and around Kochi. She was super helpful and always responded very fast on our questions. We felt very safe and welcome at her place!

Our first stop on our trip to India was at Reds Residency. Mellisa looked after us very well and helped us to settle in. She was super friendly to us and her support was very valuable.

it is 15 mins walk from central fort Cochi but this was fine for us and in a nice quiet location outside of the tourist hub!

My room was on the third floor (2 + ground). No elevator, and no help to move the bags. The 3rd floor landing was grimy with moss. There were no equipment to make coffee or tea, The bathroom had plumbing from god knows when, and the taps got scalding hot. Only one towel was provided. The ac unit was ancient and noisy. The four poster bed was rickety, and the right post about 4 feet long fell and nearly cracked my head while I was sleeping. I usually don't give bad reviews, though I told the young woman who collected the payment about the post nearly falling on my head. She apologized and claimed that she didn't have time to fix it as it was Sunday. After I had paid and checked out, she attempted to extort money for the broken headpost and threatened to call the tourist police. I have a series of texts where she admits I told her about the broken head post.. I told her to take a hike and complained to Booking.com. I have booked rooms all over the world on the past 10 years with booking.com. Never experienced such knavery. Stay away from this place!

Amazing location, walking distance of everything to see in Fort Kochi. Melissa is a great host, very nice, providing a lot of advices and very helpful. She likes what she is doing, so we felt home with her. The breakfast is also incredible (we didn’t need a lunch afterwards). Last but not least, the rooms are very clean and comfortable.

Melissa is a fantastic hostess! She arranged everything we needed. She gave us the best suggestions, she is very fast in organizing everything for you. She is lovely and she does everything with love! Her breakfast is an art work that she prepers dedicating personal time for every single guest. She shows off kerala cuisine and also excellent western breakfasts.

Mellisa ist absolut herzlich und super nett und hilfreich. Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet und man fühlt sich wohl. Wer sehr weiche Matratzen mag, wird gut schlafen können. Wir waren zwei Nächte da und das Frühstuck war abwechslungsreich und mit Liebe sehr süß gemacht.

We had a wonderful stay at Reds Residency. Mellisa went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable and well looked after. She helped arrange Tuk Tuks, advised us on local sites to visit and stayed in good communication via Whatsapp throughout our whole trip. We were delighted with the authentic Keralan breakfast that was prepared for us each morning. The room was basic but very sufficient and the beds big and comfortable.

The only downside was the noisy road outside our room but it wasn't a problem at night as the traffic died down (and we had earplugs!)

Nice comfortable room, great hostess (Melissa), location worked well for us as about 1km walk to “main” tourist spots. The breakfast (which we paid 500 rupees each for) was delicious and beautifully presented.

The only disappointment was the cost of laundry - would almost have been cheaper to buy replacement clothes!! Unjustifiably expensive!

The host Mellisa was super helpful. She gave me a great guided map of Fort Kochi and some of the surrounding area. She arranged a cab to pick me up from the airport, help set up an Indian Sim for me and helped me book any activities within the area

A fairly basic B&B, but redeemed by the wonderfully helpful and positive Melissa, for whom nothing was too much trouble.

Breakfast was outstanding, the location was walking distance to all the attractions. The host was very responsive and immediately established a line of communication following the reservation. Very professional and reassuring for someone coming to the area for the first time. I would recommend it to anyone new to Kochi.

Great location and beautiful home with lovely touches all around! Very well maintained and comfortable with some shared spaces to mingle! The host, Mellisa, is wonderful- helped us to navigate the area and services we required during our stay. It was an amazing experience !

There was nothing to dislike!

Our host, Mellisa, was brilliant. She helped us organise so much which meant we made the most of our time there. The little upstairs courtyard was beautiful and the atmosphere was great.

The service is amazing! Melissa helped with booking dance/ cultural events , ongoing travel arrangements, she even arranged medical assistance. Phillip was also very helpful arranging our backwater trip and a car for our journey. Thank you. Reds is close to the action with sites a resultants/cafes within easy reach. Highly recommend .

Amazing stay at Reds, can’t recommend it enough! We arrived early in the morning, and Melissa helped us create an itinerary for our stay on short notice. We followed all the recommendations for places to visit and eat, and had a fantastic couple of days around fort kochi and mantancherry. The room was comfortable and all the staff take great pride in providing the best stay for guests. Oh, and the breakfast was out of this world, 4 courses and all amazing!

Mellissa was extremely warm & helpful with the things to do around Fort Kochi. The rooms were clean with very quaint common areas. Check in was quick & efficient. A 15 minute walk away from main tourist areas.

We absolutely loved our stay at reds residency. The property was great but it was Melissa and her team that were so helpful and valuable in making sure we had a great stay in Kochi. She organised so many activities and site seeing for us and was so generous with her time and knowledge. Rooms are spacious and the common area is nicely decorated. Location is a bit out of the centre of fort Kochi but everything is still walkable We would definitely recommend and stay here again

Melissa was the most helpful homestay host ever, basically sorting out our whole weekend including an incredible cooking class. We would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone. The room was big with working air conditioning and fans with a large fridge. Everything was very clean. Our experience of Cochin couldn't have been any better.

We only had a short time in Kochi but Melissa helped us squeeze in a good sightseeing tour and delicious dinner. She also organised our driver and itinerary for the rest of our Kerala trip which was a huge help! The home made breakfast was great too

Breakfast was very good

The host was really nice and available, and she immediately gave us a lot of suggestions on places to visit and where to eat, the room was nice and cosy. We decided to add the breakfast and it was the right choice because it was really tasty and abundant.

Reds is a fantastic Homestay in Kochi. The rooms are spacious with AC and we also had a balcony. It is well located and easy to Tuk-Tuk Around everywhere. Melissa is great at arranging any activities you need for your stay as well as a delicious breakfast. She really does go above and beyond to ensure the stay in excellent. Would definitely recommend.

My one night stay at Reds Residency has been one of the best experiences I have had traveling around India. Mellisa is the perfect host, you can tell she loves her job. This translates into personalized tips and feeling you are at home. I would def come back.

My host Mellissa was very responsive and helpful with suggestions for outings during my stay, arranging taxis and tuk tuks etc. I liked that the communal breakfast room allowed interaction with other guests. Early check in was available.

Unfortunately my room was at the front of the house overlooking the road so the road noise was quite consistent. The breakfasts were tasty but were no longer hot when arrived to the table. I never was able to get hot water out of the shower despite following instructions, but weather was so hot that a cool shower was acceptable. The location was a bit further away from the centre and local restaurants 15 mins walk away so rode a tuk tuk mostly

Reds was a very friendly place to stay. Melissa was incredibly helpful in arranging tickets and tours and finding out about onward bus travel. Breakfast was available at an extra cost and was a mixture of Indian and continental. My room and ensuite was comfortable and clean. I would thoroughly recommend staying here if you are looking for an inexpensive place to stay in Fort Cochin. I'd also recommend going on the early morning walking tour which Melissa can arrange.

Not a problem for me but the homestay is a little way out of Fort Cochin, and though walkable it's along a busy road. There are lots of autos around.

Mellisa was a great host and gave us great tips and local recommendations for Fort Cochin. The room was a great size and the A/C was much needed as it was hot whilst we were staying, even though it's 'winter'! Bed was comfortable. Great to have a fridge in the room to keep drinks cold.

What a wonderful place, with absolutely lovely staff. I was in the heritage cottage, on the v top floor, which was incredibly comfortable and clean with everything I needed. The owner / manager was really kind and helpful providing lots of information and help on my trip.

The location was excellent - really convenient to get into Fort Kochi and beyond. Maryann, Philip and Melissa were really kind hosts and gave me all the information I needed to make the most of my 2 days. Highly recommend!
