Personnel sympathique

Le nombre de douche par rapport au nombre de lit. Lit très petit, mon amie avait les pieds qui dépassaient et a passé une très mauvaise nuit. Linge de lit pas très propre.

Za mě chaos a nebylo to úplně čisté jak koupelny, tak i pokoj. Postel byla připravena tak, že jsem měla pocit že už v ní někdo ležel. Na pokojích mi chyběly nějaké skříňky, kde si dáš věci a nezakopáváš tak o ostatní věci na zemi ( spalo nás tam 10) chyběla tam zásuvka a třeba nějaká lampička u postele. Na rychle přespání na jednu noc, ok.

Great location

Facilities were very poor, only a couple of toilets and showers in the whole property and they were in very poor condition. No space in rooms for storing even a small backpack, no secure lockers or anything

The location is good.

The bathroom and toilet are very small. The wifi connection is poor. The room was very noisy even late at night and early in the morning.

Duvet cover was already on the duvet (lol, first time we didn't have to put them on ourselves); bed was very comfy (and staff accommodated my request to change from top bunk to lower bunk - thank you!); wifi strong everywhere; beautiful old building and characterful reading/game room with great view; kitchen well-appointed and easy to get around in; never had to wait to get in the loo; everyone was friendly & helpful; laundry service was much appreciated! Lots of good books on shelves. Good system of food storage/use. Delicious tea! Pleasant dining room - more good views. Easy walk to city & transportation. I could have stayed here for days!

La localización no era mala. Es un pueblo pequeño.

Un hostel bastante sucio. La cama llena de pelos y el baño enano con más pelos y mal olor de la cocina. Sitio que vas porque ves las imágenes pero nada recomendable. Nos dijo el personal que los pelos era la primera vez y estaban en varias camas. No limpian, y se excusan en que es un hostel.

Location

The bathroom and toilet were not clean. I don't they changed the sheet but thank god i have disposable ones with me. I had no choice it was the only nearest accomodation available from my previous hotel in fort william.

I appreciated how close hostel is to bus station for my early morning departure. I also appreciated value for money cost.

Hostel just felt unloved and a young person’s hangout. Badly run by incompetent, inexperienced staff allowing fellow guests to barge into dorm at midnight making noise.

Amazing location, friendly and knowledgeable staff, lounge, kitchen and bedrooms all comfortable and well equipped.

Only a minor gripe but the sockets in my room were far from my bed so it made charging overnight a slight issue, but it wasn’t anything dreadful.

Lo prou ben organitzat que ho tenen tot per lo precari que es l ' edifici i la gent que hi ha allotjada.

Superbe cuisine propre et bien équipée, beau salon cozy pour relaxer, on fournit même les couvertures! À l'extérieur un rond pour un feu, très sympa. Belle ambiance avec les autres backpackers, et David est très sympathique ! De toutes les auberges que j'ai faites cet été en Angleterre, c'est ma préférée ! Fort William est super bien placé pour aller à Glencoe par bus municipal, aller voir le viaduct de Glenfinnan, et même aller faire un tour au château d'Elian Donnan pour un day-trip.

Seul bémol: douche un peu bouchée par les cheveux.. C'est un problème dans toutes les auberges.

Really nice, big and great vibes

No power outlets on each bed, no night light for each bed, not enough ladders for upper bunk beds

It felt like a home from home. The staff were exceptionally friendly, offered advice on local attractions. It was great to have a chat after being out.

Nothing really, it depends on what you’re after. If it’s somewhere basic to stay overnight. It’s fine, if you’re after hotel luxury then look elsewhere.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

The place is shabby and in need of urgent repair and renovation. It looks like it hasn't been painted or redone in half a century. Bathrooms are not cleaned regularly and, which we found shocking, are shared by both males and females. Rooms are very small. There's literally no space to put your backpack. We had to pack our things in the corridor. The facilities are in bad shape, e. g. Door handles are unscrewed and there's nobody to take care of that. They offer breakfast for 4.50 pounds but it's a joke really cause it consists of croissants and pains of chocolate in plastic wrapping. Yuk. The bed linen looks worn out and has stains. We stayed in a hostel in Bath and know that one's experience of staying in a hostel can be very different.

Chambre petite Logement assez vetuse. Parlant tres peu anglais, j ai eu l impression de deranger quand j essayais de parler..... il aurait suffit se me donner l affiche en francais ou tout etait indique.

Location easy to find

Mixed dorm with a toilet/shower door that did not shut and so could not be locked. Sheets were dirty and hadn't been changed. Hairs all in the bed. Told the person on reception but she didnt seem that bothered. Said she would mention it to the manager when she saw him, but that wasnt likely to be that day. We weren't going to stay in a place where you couldnt even lock the toilet/shower door in a small mixed dorm which we had actually paid extra for!

Your typical very busy hostel. Booked late so was in an 8-bed room. Head hit off ceiling when sit up in bed- just very crammed. Prob should’ve been less beds in such a small room. I came with a bike and they had a locked shed for that. Staff were great!

Dry room troppo piccola; nelle stanze non ci sono ganci/appendini né mensole dove appoggiare le proprie cose. Il problema soprattutto per chi dorme nel letto a castello di sopra. Non ci sono sedie. Le lenzuola sono molto vecchie e usurate. I bagni sono appena decenti.

Great location, parking, friendly helpful staff. Perfect if you're on a budget. Good cooking facilities. Great outdoor space, comfy lounge. Great views.

Die seitlichen Fassade, wenn man die straße hoch geht.

Alles andere. Keine Möglichkeit, das Gepäck zu verstauen. Keine Steckdosen, dafür lose Kabel am Boden mit Stecker Leiste. Große Gefahr, drüber zu stolpern und sich zu verletzen.10 Betten in einem kleinen Raum. Keine Haken zum Aufhängen für Wäsche. 1 Dusche mit Warmwasser, keine Anlagemöglichkeiten in der Dusche für Kleidung. Schimmel in der Dusche. Keine getrennten Nasszellen für Frauen und Männer. Die Matratzen waren eklig, genauso das Handtuch, wofür man 2 Pfund bezahlt. Es hat richtig gestunken. Es wird nichts in Renovierung investiert. Dafür passt dann der Preis auch nicht.

Les chambres sont grandes, propres, on avait celle de 6 places. Il y a le linge de maison (draps, coussin) se qui est tres bien. Literie confortable. La cuisine est bien, il y a de la place dans les frigos et on peut y ranger ses affaires. Il y a de quoi se faire une boisson chaude à volonté c'est très appréciable. La salle a manger est bien avec ses tables de tailles différentes. Le coins jeux détente est sympa. Les WC sont propres. Les salle de bain sont propres. Les chambres sont fermés à clés. C'est une auberge de jeunesse, donc le rapport qualité prix est largement correcte, mais il peut y avoir quelques petits aménagements sans que les prix grimpe de trop.

Le parking est vraiment petit et c'est au petit bonheur la chance d'avoir 1 place. Quand nous sommes arrivés il n'y avait personne on a sonné comme indiqué, mais la sonnette reliée au téléphone qui ne servait à rien vu que le téléphone était resté à la réception. Le mr qui nous a enfin accueilli parlait trop vite et ne cherchait pas à se faire comprendre. Il nous a dit des choses et pas sur d'avoir tout comprit. Les douches sont minuscules et vous ne pouvez pas vous habiller ou déshabiller dedans sans vous mouiller car pas de place pour vos affaires dans la cabine. Sinon vous vous changer devant tout le monde et se sont des douches mixtes. Manque d'une étagère quand vous êtes en haut des lits superposé. Pour poser le tel ou les lunettes. Un casier rangement serait appréciable. Il manque une barrière sur les lit car ils sont petits et risque de chute, vu qu'il n'y a rien pour ranger un sac on dors avec sur le lit si on est en haut, vu que ceux d'en bas rangent leurs sacs sous le lit. Sinon matelas confortable. Faire quelque chose pour les portes afin d'éviter qu'elles claquent. Le soir et le matin tôt les gens les faisaient claquer pour aller aux WC et salles de bain cela faisait trembler les murs, le lit du mur et nous réveillait.

This is a very tired hostel charging comparatively high prices for a very basic service. Mattresses were thin and uncomfortable, bunks had no shelves light or power. Everywhere paint was peeling, the shelf in the shower was more rust than metal. The kitchen was small and very crowded at dinner times, the fridges were also packed.

The staff was nice. Bed was decent.

Showers were cold. And it shouldn’t be allowed that one person can book two beds for themselves in high season - one bed went unused for 3 nights because of one woman.

Clean accommodation and friendly staff. Excellent value for money.

The location was convenient - within walking distance to the city centre, and the staff were friendly. I especially appreciate their willingness to store my backpack.

Cramped rooms - 10 people in a relatively small place, there was limited space to leave things, only 3 toilets and 3 showers for 30/40 people, which was not enough.

Could do with a upgrade

Location was great. Very near train station. New decor is lovely. Very homely feel.

Room was good, bed was comfy enough. Slept well. Staff were friendly and helpful and didn’t mind me hanging around for a bit past check out till my train.

Needs a new lick of paint some design, quality improvements, curtains on beds

Southern English woman on desk grumpy and unfriendly when we arrived. Later use of kitchen is preferred.

Cheap and cheerful accommodation. Close to the train and bus station.

5 pm check-in is way too late. The bedding and pillows were extremely old and poor quality and slightly smelly. Other people in the hostel did not respect quiet hours – thundering up and down the stairs, stomping around, talking loudly. Also one was working on their laptop in the dorm late at night. I had to tell them to do it in the common room. The rules should be made clearer and be strict about it. The whole place was a bit shabby and rundown. I wouldn’t stay again. Okay for one night.

The staff were very helpful. I also liked the fact that it was also very quiet. Others were respectful.of the cirfew of no noise after 10.30pm and i was lucky the others staying in the female dorm were respectful.of the ones who wereup and out early and needed a nap in the afternoon.

The only thing was car park was small but there is parking on the street.

A sala de estar mais cosy que já vi num hostel, e talvez em toda a minha vida! Recomendo imenso. Hotel com estrutura antiga mas razoavelmente bem cuidado, pessoal simpático.

The kitchen being available only from 7am, it is too late. Also it would be great to have charging plugs near all beds in the dorms.

C'était très bien. Super accueil, cuisine très bien équipée salle a manger etc.. salon chaleureux où vous pouvez y faire des rencontres et peut être chanter des chansons autour d'un air de guitare. Wifi impeccable douche chaude. Tout ce qu'on attend d'un Hostel

Les lits en hauteur n'ont pas de barrière et sont un peu petits, une seule douche chaude

Porta della camera che non si chiudeva, così come quella del bagno interno alla camera. Bagno molto piccolo con doccia sacrificata.

Steps on bed, not safe, needs a ladder, as can't see where to put feet when climbing down.

Easy access from train station. Cost.

Having to climb up onto tip bunk on steps that were not suitable as you couldn't see where they were when getting down. Other beds in room has a normal ladder which was better. It felt dangerous as an older woman trying to get down then especially in the dark.

Venue is close to the train station. There's a power socket by the bed. The staff are knowledgeable about the area and Ben Nevis.

Lovely view of mountains from the homely lounge. Individual WCs with sink. Friendly atmosphere. Helpful staff, especially when my train was delayed and I had a midnight arrival. Good self-catering facilities, for cooking and eating. Great location, short walk from station, handy for town centre.

I didn't see any recycling facilities but maybe I missed them.

Minha estadia no Fort William Backpackers foi curta, fiquei apenas um dia, mas tive uma experiência muito boa. O hostel é simples, porém confortável e com uma boa localização, o que facilitou bastante durante minha passagem pela cidade. Tudo estava organizado e o ambiente era tranquilo. Também gostaria de destacar o atendimento, que foi excelente. Quando fiz minha reserva, não percebi que havia escolhido um quarto misto, mas conversei com o atendente e ele foi extremamente prestativo e compreensivo, conseguindo rapidamente me acomodar em um quarto somente feminino. Esse cuidado fez toda a diferença para eu me sentir mais confortável durante a estadia. Foi uma experiência muito positiva e eu me hospedaria novamente.

The hostel is getting a little tired now, but it is still spotlessly clean . The beds were comfortable.

Lit peu confortable mais déjà pas mal pour une auberge. Les cabines de douches sont beaucoup trop petites.

Very nice place to be as a backpacker who is either starting or finishing the West Highland Way/Great Glen Way.

There were no screens in the window, slept with the window open and had bug bites the next morning.
