Being picky but there was some cobwebs around and dusting required in the room. All else was clean and we would definitely stay there again.

Stayed here before just after covid again didn't disappoint

Only downside no parking have to use park n ride which is about 2 miles from hotel but shuttle bus brings you back to town n hotel issues parking tickets for your stay n bus pass.

This is a lovely hotel in a quiet side street. It is stylish, clean, comfortable and well priced. I will be staying again.

In order to avoid the necessity for fridges in every room, it would be great if they asked on arrival if you’d like some real milk as opposed to the UHT provided. Otherwise tea making facilities are excellent, English breakfast in the room and the fancier herbal varieties available in the hall

Breakfast was adequate. Though hardly boutique as the advertising would have you believe.

It wasn’t particularly clean, it felt dated and quite unloved. For the money, even though Dartmouth is typically expensive, we had expected more. It felt like somewhere that had been great five years ago but now seems unloved. Aware it’s difficult to make a hospitality business thrive in the current economy, but I think it’s important to share honest feedback of the experience for people considering booking.

The hotel is in an ideal location. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was nicely decorated with lots of little extras and a really comfy bed . Breakfast was really tasty with lots of HOT coffee.

We stayed on the top floor which was up three flights of very narrow steep stairs. No lift available. Not ideal for a pair of pensioners. Our room was very nice with a really comfy bed. However the stairs and landing areas looked a bit tired and would benefit from some sprucing up.

The property is in a very convenient location and despite being in town was nice and quiet at night.

It describes itself as an hotel with restaurant and bar but, in our opinion would be better described as a B&B. We arrived on a Sunday and no restaurant was available. Luckily we had booked somewhere else for dinner but when we got back the bar was also in darkness. No bar was available the following night either and on the Tuesday the restaurant was only available if we ate at 5pm because they had a local group coming in who then took over the bar so again, we were excluded. Although we did eat early, we found the food expensive and not very good.

L’étage du bar restaurant à été joliment restauré et est accueillant

La chambre que nous avons eue était repeinte mais la salle de bain était vétuste, pas nettoyée (j‘ai dû enlever moi-même un amas de cheveux des clients précédents dans la tuyauterie de la douche le premier soir). L’aspirateur n‘a jamais été passé et il y avait des minons de poussière sous notre lit.

The room was much smaller than we anticipated. The bathroom was cramped, not very pleasant for showering and just felt it needed an update. We would suggest the bath could be removed and replaced with a quality shower facility.

The only negative I would say, is that the room could done with a fridge.

Great location just off main street. Quaint hotel. Rooms clean and staff friendly. Car park vouchers offered at £10 for 24 hrs which is great value. Breakfast options were plentiful and cooked to order. Only downside was bar closed early however that did not detract from hotel overall.

We stayed here for only one night to break up a long journey. The room was clean and provided everything we needed. However, being on the top floor it was a long way to haul a heavy suitcase as the stairs are steep and narrow. Breakfast was delicious and the waitress was attentive.

The room was warm and stuffy when we arrived and having secondary glazing, it was awkward to open the window. The bed creaked terribly when we moved which disturbed our sleep. Pillows could have been better too.

Being an old building it is on a number of levels including from the bedrom to the ensuite, which is difficult when one has to get up at night in order to use the facilities.

Great breakfast and staff were excellent and friendly. Weirdly, my husband was incredibly impressed by their loo brushes! Very good shower.

Our room was facing the street and even though we were there for the music festival it was not noisy as there is good secondary glazing. But this meant it was a bit hot as we kept our windows closed to be quiet.

Location and room. Help yourself to tea and coffee was great.

All good.. Just beware it is an old building so narrow stairs. Don't book if you have mobility issues but lovely other than that

Stayed here for 2 nights. Very friendly staff, lovely room with a great shower. Secondary glazing works well - minimal noise from the street. Breakfast cooked to order. Plus a parking voucher for £8 per day. Perfect for a short break away.

An earlier breakfast would be a bonus - doesn't start until 8.30 am.

Excellent proprietors. Mike and Susan were very welcoming and caring individuals. Went over and beyond when had a crisis.Had a great breakfast. Great shower pressure.

Amazing team, super helpful. Parking voucher was a great addition. Super dog friendly and they even stored our dog food in the fridge. Nothing was too much trouble, nice bar and a fantastic breakfast. The full English was fabulous.

Very good breakfast, freshly cooked to order with good choice of cereals, fruit etc . Located near centre of Dartmouth, but on a quiet street. Comfortable bed and good shower. Enjoyed the small plates served in the Bistro with good wine and cocktail selection

We would like to have been able to open our bedroom window A short walk to car park, but able to park outside hotel for 2 hours for unloading luggage. It was not a problem for us.

It is a small hotel, the staff are amazing, very hard working, but they cannot offer absolutely everything that a big hotel can. I would have preferred a slightly earlier breakfast

Very welcoming, clean, tidy and felt comfortable from the moment we walked in. Great place to take our Jack Russell along with a warm welcome. Room had all we needed for our stay. Fantastic breakfast along with great service. Planning our return already. Close to the shops, restaurants, excursions and ferries. What more do you need for a great stay in Dartmouth and Devon. .

Could not have breakfast because it doesn't get served until 0830hrs. This is too late when one has to be at work at 0830hrs. most hotels start breakfast at 0730hrs so one can eat and then go to work. It must be a South Hams thing.

we booked and paid for 3 days plus parking. Although we left after breakfast on day 2 , there was no offer of a days reimbursement for the parking or fir a days breakfast that we didn’t have. i was not expecting any refund for the unused day but a token effort to reimburse the parking and one breakfast would have been appreciated
