Ambience

The homestay offers spacious and comfortable rooms with separate entrances, ensuring good privacy. The property has a nice outdoor seating area and a calm atmosphere. It is well located near Varkala Cliff helipad, making it convenient for exploring the area. The stay was budget-friendly, and the host, Vishnu was extremely friendly and supportive throughout. Great value for money and a comfortable place to stay.

The location was good and that’s about it. This is the first bad review I’ve given, the room we got given was dirty, the bathroom had a razor and dirty towel left so it was clearly used and not cleaned. We asked for a new room which they were hesitant about but eventually changed us to a room that still didn’t feel that clean. No toilet roll, one towel left, had to ask for another. No soap, no water.

Rooms are small in size. There is street aside Sajjoy hotel that goes to seabay bliss. Only two wheeler can reach that place. Overall one caretaker Vishu will treat you good but the last day will feel change in his tone and behaviour. If you need pocket friendly place then go for it otherwise there are many better properties than this on North cliff itself.

No water, bottle has to be purchased from day 1. Bed is somehow directly. Bathroom Has ants 🐜 which will feel you like pooping in jungle. Tap has current leakage Whenever gyser will be on.

The description on Booking.com mentioned a hot bath tub, which was not present on this property. The room had spider webs and drinking water was not provided.

property is very close to north cliff but way to property is very narrow and not easy to travel by car.

We encountered several significant issues during our stay: ​Inaccessible Location & Parking: There is no parking at the property. Furthermore, the homestay is located down an incredibly narrow lane that is inaccessible by car. We were forced to carry our luggage for nearly around one kilometer, which was exhausted and unacceptable. ​Major Plumbing Failures: There was no running water in the taps or the showers. Additionally, the health faucet in the bathroom was broken and unusable. ​Lack of Basic Amenities: Clean drinking water was not provided at the property. ​Poor Quality Linens: The towels provided were in pathetic condition and completely non-absorbent. ​Given that the actual value of this stay felt no higher than Rs 700 per night, based on these conditions, paying Rs 11,600 ( 3 rooms for a night) is unreasonable. The property lacked the basic utilities and accessibility required for a functional homestay.

The room was modern and very clean, Host was very friendly. North Cliff of Varkala was at walkable distance. Quite away from the main road which some can like some not!

Car parking is the not available and bike parking was there but very narrow way to reach the property. but can be manageable.

It is nearer to the main cliff view point. Value for the price. Care taker vishnu was good, he arranged a bike for rental. Had some good talk with him.

When I tried to take bath at 6.45 AM, I didn't get hot water and you feel electric shock while touching the water. Drinking water taste is not too good.

The room was not clean and had a lot of mosquitoes and ants, which made the stay very uncomfortable. The location is also inconvenient, as you can’t take a scooty or easily access the place. Overall, not a good experience.

Stay was near to Varkala beach and north cliff. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Property is spacious, comfortable and well maintained with amenities. The service of Mr. Vishnu was very professional and he was very understanding. The stay is very close and in walkable distance to the north cliff. They also have good scooters which can be rented.

Reaching the property was a bit task as the road was very narrow.

It was really nice staying there

(1) The room is so nice. (2) The bathroom is so neat and clean. (3) All the requirements in the room were fulfilled. (4) Interior design was so pretty. (5) Close distance from the original Varkala beach area.

(1) Staff behaviour was not that comfortable. (2) Was asking to do checkout before the mentioned time on the booking.com website. (3) The waste bin was not available inside the room. (4) The actual property was a bit inside from the main road; you need to walk into the property. (5) Drinking water tasted very bad. (6) Unable to provide the requested cutlery. (7) Misbehaviour by the property owner for the rented scooty.

The stay was comfortable and relaxing. The room was clean, well-furnished, and had all necessary amenities. Staff were polite and attentive throughout. The location was convenient and peaceful, making it perfect for a short getaway. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet and hassle-free experience. Would definitely visit again.

Location was great, close to cliff top restaurants but far enough that is was quiet. Great sized room with useful furniture. Good bed. Roof terrace for drying clothes. Good communication from host.

Would have like a second cotton sheet to sleep under but this might just be my preference

Simple , affordable

Instruct the local police to permit those people coming with valid booking easy access without any hindrance at their ridiculous check point near the helipad. Let them use rationale while executing blunders.

We stayed at the hotel for two days, and the stay was fantastic. All the facilities were up to the mark. I would especially mention the staff, Vishnu, who helped us in everything from booking vehicles to showing the area. He is such a great person. I would highly recommend people stay there!

Pros: Budget friendly accommodation Location too close to Varkala cliff market and beach Near to all the amenities We had charged Rs.600 more to switch to upgrade room with balcony. Which is fair

Cons: They don't not provide any amenities like brush, shampoo etc. you will only get towel and body soap. Curtains were transparent, no bathroom Matt was provided. No parking for 4 wheelers. You hardly can park 2 wheelers. They banged the door at 10:30 in the morning to check out at 11. When we said it's mentioned as 11:30 check out in booking.com. They said it's an old timings, now it's 11.

Very modern property - clean, spacious rooms. Very comfortable bed. The AC works great. Location is very convenient - a 5 minute walk to the cliff. But the property is down a quiet street. Definitely a comfortable place to stay!

I thought the customer service was relatively poor. Firstly, I had messages asking for my check in time - it felt like it was quite strict. I communicated clearly when I would arrive, yet there was no one at the property and I had to wait. In fact there is almost never someone in the reception - it would be better if there was, because if you need something like toilet paper or the wifi code, the only option is to call the owner - who didn’t answer my call or reply to my message about wifi until I called him later that day a second time. Finally, check out time is 11:00, and at 10:51 the owner called me twice. I messaged to ask if he called, and he said “Yes pls vacate the room I have another guest on the way”. Seems very pushy to be ringing me to ask me to leave before check out time has even passed. Apart from that, it’s a great place to stay

We stayed for 2 days and have a decent stay with friendly staff. Place is very much near to cliff and has limited two wheeler parking facility. They allowed us early check in at extra price and no four wheeler parking facility. Overall good budget stay nearby varkala cliff.

They should have maintained and cleaned it better . The property is good . They have to clean rooms properly before they hand over to next customer . Just spraying room freshener won't help .If not properly maintained in a few months it is going to look bad. The commode was yellow stained . The bedsheets were not cleaned well , had stains . There was a nest of some insects which I have shared photos. .

It's a nice property. Walking distance to the cliff/beach. Parking is at the helipad. The owner and the caretaker both are very humble and caring. Very affordable prices for the said property. Addition of toiletries would be a plus. Good experience overall.

It is a new building and every thing was spic and span. The room and linen was very clean.It was a very comfortable stay. It is 200 meters from the Helipad which is on the cliff overlooking the beach below. All the action in Varkala starts from the cliff road staring from Helipad. Beach is walking distance. The caretaker was very helpful. He handled our suitcases both ways from the road. We saw a peacock on the roof of next building in the evening.

The access of 30 m to the building from road is a narrow lane wide enough for two wheelers. But then, most hotels or home stays in Varkala have narrow lane access.
