I couldn’t stay because my reservation, which I had made a booking nearly 2 months ago, had been cancelled about 1 pm on the day of my stay . I had to find another place which destroyed my whole afternoon and made me feel stressed on my holiday

we booked a room for a week well in advance. after arriving at the facility it turned out that we would not receive the room we booked because the room had a leaking air conditioning and the room would be out of use for a week. we suggested that they have another room, at least for one night while they repair the air conditioning, but the hotel employee clearly said that they were fully booked and had nothing for us. a strange situation because when a hotel employee gave us information about the leaking air conditioning, another hotel employee seemed very surprised by this information. the hotel did not cancel the reservation, the issue was reported to booking.com by us. we were directed to another hotel that was supposed to have a same standard and price. of course it was completely different. Seems like they are overbooking and shuffling people arund, as the hotel that they advised had very similar name. I do not recommend

The local and central location to many attractions in walking distance. Staff were very friendly.

There were people staying, most likely teenagers, playing games in the hall way, in early morning hours, causing a disturbance to sleep.

Location wise.. close to eatery place, walking distance. Even this guest house is in the middle of georgetown, i slept soundly throughout the night. Parking also convenient for customer. Clean toilet, towel and toiletries provided. Spacious for me and my husband. Not like average budget hotel.stay. Most important thing, the guest house is clean.

This is a lovely guesthouse, very well run and super clean. Our room was very spacious with lots of storage and facilities for making hot drinks. It didn't have a window but this didn't bother us at all. The bed was super comfortable and the bathroom was small but well planned. The location was quiet and only a 10 minute walk into town and little india etc. we thought it was really good value for money.

No fridge in room but we were able to use the hotels fridge.

The bathroom/toilet is small and cramp. There is a stale smell emitting from the floor water outlet in the bathroom. The basin will clog when tap is turned on. There are oily food stain on the table, which I wiped off and a layer of dust on the bed headboard. The bed linen is stained. When I made reservation, I choose 2 twin bed but a queen bed was provided. Nothing was mentioned to us that this selection wasn't available. When I checked in late in the night (before going into the room), I had the intention to extend my stay for another night. I was told to inform the reception the next morning. After having a look in the room later and after a restless night, I changed my mind.

Location was great in Transfer Road. Near great eateries and public transport. Staff were really friendly

Staff had to be asked to clean room. We only needed bin emptying and bottled water. Luckily we had a.down stairs room. Request this If you are elderly.. They have no windows but up stairs is accessed by a steep staircase with no lift.

Near restaurant/food stall, petrol station, atm, 24hours convenient store, self laundry & got private parking.

The placing for iron board on the level 1 hotel was a bit weird & not reasonable since it was in front of a room. Feels like someone was watching from that room.

Great location. Room is fine, beds are reasonably comfortable.

AC took a while to cool down the room and the whole hotel is definitely way past its prime. Cold water in the water fountains provided (hallway) is definitely hot and not cold.

All ok for budget accomodation, had hot water for coffee, toiletries, clean. Staff mixed , some helpful others not very easy to communicate with and lack of english. The area was good for finding food and easy walking around.

Noisy, echoes in corridors , from guests and staff, I probably wouldnt stay again due to the door slamming and corridor noise.Towels were poor quality .No fridge.

Overpriced for the quality of the building and facilities. It is clear that very little pride is taken in the building. Everything feels tired. No good recommendations when I asked about restaurants for dinner or breakfast. Bathroom is tiny. The shower nozzle is directly behind the basin and next to the toulet. All the floor is completely wet in the bathroom ince you have showered. Then you are left wondering if you should lat your towel on the bayhroom floor so your feet don’t get wdt when you enter to toilet or use the basin. Furnishings such as curtains are old and out of date. Towels need to have a good bleach. They didn’t feel like they had been freshly washed. More like used and then refolded for the next people in the room to use. Floor was not clean as my feet got dirty upon walking in it. Dust and hairs in the corners of the room. I chose a room with windows and paid extra on Booking.com. Lucky I asked at check-in to make sure I had a room with a window. The receptionist told me the rooms don’t have windows. Then she read my booking properly and saw I had paid for a room with a window, so changed the room she had allocated. The windows faced the afternoon sun but had no sheer curtains so the sun beat in. Still worth it to have a window. But the service was not as customer oriented as I like. The Journey Hotel where I stayed the previous night and is only 100m along the road is much better value. I think Inpaid a little leas for my stay there. It is also has much cleaner rooms with higher quality facilities,

Friendly and helpful staff, centrally located, clean. I saw many comments saying there was no kettle in the room but our deluxe room had it. Our room had a window but I think that costs more. Room was clean with comfy beds. Close to all sights, street art locations, museums, restaurants and cafes. In front of the hotel there is one k mart express and around the corner a laundromat. I also liked that outside the hotel there are two benches with a big ashtray for smoking and the area is roofed so if it rains you won't get wet

Price on booking com is higher than buying at reception(25 MYR more) and they charged me on top of that an extra fee of total 118 MYR on 4 nights calling it a commission agent fee. When I added one extra night as I had to stay longer I was charged only the room rate without any extras so I guess all these extras were charged because I had used booking com

Location was perfect. The room was as good as any budget hotel in Georgetown. But the price was so very good for this guest house bordering on being a hottttel.

The heritage building is beautiful! All the staff were lovely and friendly and kind. Very helpful about local food and drinks.

The reception lady is very quiet and make us feel not welcomed. The hotel is clean but very old facility, kids don't want to stay , we have to leave one day earlier to find another one.

Everything was amazing. The staff was very accommodating and understanding as I was a big group staying there (9 of us), she helped us alot. This is going to be my go-to place everytime I'm in Penang..
