The Imperial

The Venezuelan cafe that is part of the Imperial has amazing home-cooked style food at decent prices. It is good enough to plan a trip even if not staying overnight. Very good location and convenient for early flight from Sunport.

Zimmer wurde nicht gereinigt, obwohl wir die Bestätigung für das Housekeeping bekommen haben. Wassersblauf der Badewanne war verstopft, es bestand aber kein Interesse das zu beheben, da Sonntag war. Breakfast Burrito wurden gross angepriesen, aber am Laborday Montag haben sie morgens um 08.15 keine gehabt. Für die Lage an der Route66 könnte man noch ein bisschen mehr machen.

Die Lage des Motels empfanden leider als sehr problematisch und wir haben uns in der Umgebung nicht sicher gefühlt.

Loved the decor. The beds were super comfy. The colors and coziness of the rooms were great. I would definitely stay there again. The whole room made me smile. Retro with all the comfy updates. Staff was really helpful with everything.

The sound proofing. We could hear the sound of the people upstairs walking around and murmuring through the walls.

Delicious morning coffee. Really good ice machine & washer/dryer gym space! Easily walkable to main cool things in the area! Very modernized, period-stylized, well-staffed "motel"! I liked that people who bought and owned a herse for a personal vehicle felt comfortable and happy staying here - it made me happy.

The air conditioner could've been a little more powerful or the density of the comforter and stuff could've been less. Very, very comfortable and fluffy duvet and all that, but honestly unnecessary in the climate.

Wonderful customer service and a really fun and funky vibe! We enjoyed the live plants in the room, location near lots of good places to eat, and the ability to park right outside of our room.

The pool chairs could use an update. Otherwise, we loved everything! The ac made an annoying buzzing sound, but it didn’t interrupt my sleep at all.

Quel charme lorsque l’on arrive de nuit avec les néons et guirlandes illuminées ! Décoration et ambiance très agréable, équipements neufs. Personnel très accueillant autant au check-in qu’au check-out. Nous sommes arrivés tard dans la nuit et la réceptionniste a gentiment proposé de nous laisser la chambre une heure de plus pour nous reposer avant le check-out. Ce qui était vraiment très sympathique de sa part. Chambre parfaitement bien équipée : mini frigidaire avec congélateur, steamer, prises usb pour recharger, bouteilles d’eau, lait pour le corps. Machine à glaçons et distributeur de boissons, laverie et piscine également dans l’hôtel. Le petit café de la Réception dispose d’un four à micro-ondes si besoin et offre du café le matin. L’emplacement est proche de l’aéroport (15min) et idem pour la vieille ville très mignonne. Enfin, le Grove Café & Market juste en face est parfait pour un bon brunch/dejeuner et attaquer la journée. Bref tout a été parfait pour nous sachant que nous avons débuté et terminé notre roadtrip au Nouveau Mexique dans cet hôtel.

Les escaliers pour accéder aux chambres en étage peuvent être compliqués avec des bagages.. peut être le préciser à la réservation si vous avez des difficultés physiques.

It’s beautiful and clean little motel, with all the conveniences of a brand hotel. Plus, every staff member we encountered were so pleasant and inviting.

Seems petty, but the room did not have phone charging ports like most hotels do. Just be sure to pack a charger that can connect to the electric outlet.

The AC unit in room 305 was louder than the television and also lacked cooling capability. A split system AC unit would have made this a 10

I loved the pool, the comfortable bed, the cleanliness of the room.

Rooms were very clean and comfortable. The staff were amazing nothing too much trouble for them. The rooms are equipped with clothes steamers but due to a disability its hard to lift my arms. I asked for and Iron and a board and it was sent to our room. Our family was coming from Scotland to meet us on the day of check.out we asked if we could keep the room for a couple of hours till they arrived and they done this foc, cant thank them enough.

A big surprise! Check in was good and efficient and friendly. The surprise was the room-very quirky,modern and minimalist.It was clean and felt bigger than it was but I was pleased. There is a burger grill bar immediately across the road which was handy for me as unfortunately I had a problem with my Rental car and it took a couple of hours out of my time to find the local facility and sort it out. So my time was cut down but I enjoyed my stay and it was good value for money

The person working the desk and working the coffee bar was super friendly and helpful. I also really dig the 60s throwback vibe, though I know it won’t be to everyone’s taste. To me, it was a little kitschy, but totally fun for a night in a hotel.

We loved that when we went to check in we checked in at the coffee shop which was quirky and fun. We were greeted with a warm hello and everything went smoothly. Our room had everything we needed, was clean, comfortable and stylish decor. The Imperial had a terrific pool and plenty of lounge chairs and was being respectfully enjoyed by a nice crowd. The property has restaurants, a salon studio, a little serenity shop, a guitar lesson studio... it was filled with all kinds of cool community stuff. I highly recommend. There is a terrific vegan diner next door. We went there twice.

Didn't realize it was a motel. However, the room was quite modern, like a modern hotel. Very up to date, nothing was outdated. I was impressed with the overall appearance and room.

Staff was ok, some were very accommodating. Others not, so my key card wasn't working, so I went to the front desk to have it reactivated. The two desk clerks were talking about upcoming drinks for a customer. I'm not sure if they were changing shifts. They make custom drinks at Imperial, but the drink conversation lingered while I stood there for a good five minutes. When I checked out, the process seemed long. I'm not sure if they were checking for pending charges or payments.

I loved the spacious room with lots of amenities and very cute!

Agréable surprise en découvrant ce motel plein de charme. Rénovée avec goût, notre chambre était parfaite. Joliment décorée. La literie était confortable. Chambre propre. Personne à la réception agréable. Pas de petit déjeuner proposé sur place, seulement quelques collations, boissons froides et chaudes vendues à la réception. Pas trop loin du centre ville mais la voiture est tout de même utile. Prix plus que raisonnable pour la qualité de l'hébergement.

Environnement un peu bruyant en journée avec l'avenue principale (Central Avenue). Pour info, notre chambre était la première en bas à côté de la réception.

Loved the retro-chic touches they did in their recent renovation. Centrally located along Route 66 near downtown. We didn't get to use the pool and the adjacent cocktail lounge because of the rain, but maybe next time?! Had the complimentary coffee in the coffee shop which doubles as the front office, and it was quite good! Room was clean and comfortable.

The room was creatively decorated with a route 66 theme. Very cool. It was reasonably spacious. Rather than a closet, there was an equivalent setup for hanging clothes and stashing folded items.

Being a motel with vehicles parked right outside the door, it is not particularly quiet, especially on the first floor. But the charm of the place is pretty compelling.

The parking was a bit "tight". I drive an Expedition and there were a couple of times that parking was a pretty tight squeeze.

We couldn't stay longer

Newly remodeled, lots of thought for use not just looks. The staff were friendly, lots of amenities for guests.

The neighborhood is a little sketchy but not as bad as 2 miles down the road. Albuquerque in general was littered with homeless drug addicts. Only complaint about the hotel itself would be the parking spaces are very tight and there doesn’t seem to be enough of them.

It was such a cute little hotel. The retro vibe was great. Everything from a retro fridge to coasters. The beds were nice and comfy and the room was spotless.
