The location was perfect. The room had been updated and was cute

The room should come with complementary ear plugs. I've been offered earplugs at loud accommodations prior but have never had to use them before but it would have been GREATLY appreciated. The wifi didn't work, which usually isn't a big deal but it was difficult to get services anywhere in town. The mattress didn't sleep very well but I've also had worse

Only the location, nothing else

Windows were dirty and couldn’t be closed, fan in bathroom didn’t work, water didn’t flow down the sink, very noisy room as windows couldn’t be closed. No Ayer in kettle and coffee machine was shite. It was so bad…. Honestly… get a grip!

Beds and pillows very uncomfortable. Spiders and spider webs were present. No staff ever present. Stayed 3 nights and garbage not removed in room or common area. Water not replenished. Suggested parking was extremely expensive. 48 euros daily.

The people in a room below us were causing mayhem all night shud b someone in the building to stop this behaviour I'll b looking for a refund for such a very disappointing stay

The location was great, just stepped out the door and we were in central Kilkenny. We enjoyed walking through the city, and there were many eating places close by. We appreciated the tea/coffee making faciility in the hall outside our room.

The bed was rather hard and uncomfortable, so much so that my husband found it better to sleep on top of the doona. The bathroom was small but adequate. I was disappointed there wasn't a hairdryer supplied. The balcony outside had high pine timber walls so there was no view. The TV remote didn't work so we went to the supermarket and bought some new batteries. The cafe that was suggested to use did not open until 9.00am (maybe Irish times!). However the food was good. I guess it isn't easy booking somewhere from Australia and relying on a couple of photos from a place we had never visited before.

Location is OK but not waterfront.

Entrance gives it away. Terrace was terrible. Bathroom and shower tiny. Bed not great.

Hice una reserva en este alojamiento. El día de la entrada al alojamiento me escribieron por WhatsApp ofreciéndome otro alojamiento de categoría superior sin coste alguno. Como es lógico lo acepté. A la mañana siguiente me desperté con más de 30 picaduras de pulga por todo el cuerpo. Se lo comenté a la encargada del hotel pero no me ofreció ninguna solución ni quiso reembolsarme parte del dinero. Le pedí una hoja de reclamaciones pero me dijo que en Irlanda no tenían. Ahora estoy que me pica muchísimo todo el cuerpo.

Byly jsme zde během extrémních veder a pokoj na to nebyl přizpůsobený - nešlo ani větrat jelikož měla terasa strop z plexiskla a v pokoji se tedy dalo být až večer

Booked 2 rooms for same price. One with large windows and views of the castle. Room 4 was described as having an internal terrace. The room was dark, no window, ventilation or fresh air. The “terrace” smelled of smoke, was covered and airless

Great location and the staff were helpful when the keys were missing from the lockbox.

The property did not look the same as the photos online and was generally run-down: the front door was boarded up and the room was tired with staining on the walls. The WiFi was broken and the toiletries promised were one bottle of hand soap and one bottle of men’s body wash. Hot water in the shower was very patchy and the shower door wouldn’t stay shut. The bathroom also had no ventilation so it got very steamy and hot quickly. The beds were not comfortable and there was lots of noise from the street throughout the night. The property’s adjacency to a nightclub could have been made clear. It was very expensive for what it was and nowhere near worth the money.

We didn't like the waterfront where we got send to for 220 euro it was filthy we were going to go home and look for our money back until the person that I spoke to offered us the last room that was available in the gate Lodge accommodation which was beautiful the only thing that I can fault was the towels where never changed the next day but I can't fault the rooms we had a lovely stay in the gate Lodge accommodation the other one I wouldn't recommend to anyone it was false advertisement the bed was filthy in the waterfront one the carpets where filthy with stains

Carpets in common areas were stained , the one in our room was stained, front door is damaged and dosent look appealing, no extractor fan in the bathroom ao when you shower it turns into a steamroom. Extremely loud at nighttime from the streets ( to be expected ). Don't stay here on a weekend if you need to sleep. €175 for the night was majorly overpriced for this .

Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room was fab and the fact we got an upgrade was even better. Would definitely come back again 😃

We like a bid of old fasion stuff. Parking was close and free.

I have nothing to complain about.

The fact that the free wifi wasn't available, the tv didn't broadcast anything and the hot water in the shower worked for about 10 seconds. Also the beds were hard as a rock.

Advertised Manor Yard (dunnes stores) as advised parking. This is €2 per hour. There is parking across the river for €8 for 24 hrs.

La ubicación.

Huele a humedad. No cierran las ventanas. Cama es blanda y está hundida. Habitación llena de telarañas dentro habitación y fuera en la terraza. Y en terraza está sucia y descuidada.

Was great thank you. Staff were great. Room & bathroom were perfect for my needs. Location is excellent, central.

Room was great. Only thing I can think of that I maybe didn't love was the group in a nearby room were a little loud at times.

Room felt a little dated, parts seemed unclean with dust all over the headboard. Unplugged the TV to use the socket, to find the plug was broken and part was stuck inside the socket. Smell of sewage from the toilet was disgusting, started from about 1am till we left the next morning.

The rooms were so damp there was condensation on the walls, very bad smell. Hit your head off the roof when you sit up in the bed. Very cold

Room was beautiful and even had a little terrace to sit on. It was nice and clean and very comfortable. In a very good location for all amenities.

Would have preferred to be able to make tea in the room instead of in the corridor. I put milk in the fridge and it was gone the next morning.

The bathroom had a horrid smell, septic or not vented properly. They needed blackout curtains for the street light, a fan to move air around as outside is noisy if window open. The entire room is on a slant. Everything can be heard from the room above.

We were shocked by the standard of the place. The place stank of mould. It was damp and dingy. The cleaner had done her best but the shower, the carpet, everything needs an upgrade. We were shocked that this was the accomodation after paying €200. Yes the location was good but that was the only positive thing about it

Heating did not work. Was freezing so we had to leave as they could not fix the heating. Still waiting on a refund nearly 2 weeks later, which they said would only take a few days

The location.

The room was freezing, the heater was unplugged and took hours to warm up. A small plug in heater is not enough for a room like that in winter. You could hear noise from every other room and in the morning there was a muisc/ dance class at 9am directly underneath. Impossible to sleep. The decor was also very outdated.

There was about a third of a roll of toilet roll in bathroom ,no more. Only towel available was a little foot towel on ground at shower ,no other ones in room - checked everywhere Went to get tea in morning at tea/coffee station but no milk so I didn't bother with it Room itself fine/clean ,great location but those few bits were simple fixes and disappointed me

The bed was sooo comfy.

The cobwebs on the TV wall. You couldn't see them until you had the light behind the TV on. I am terrified of spiders. But generally the room was very clean.

Didn’t like anything about the property, wanted to move after first night but couldn’t find alternative accommodation .

Very dull and dingy , shower running hot and cold, no hanging space for clothes. Radiator kept going off and we were waking up freezing cold. Noisy until early hours, shouting and banging. Please avoid this place.
