He helped us arrange our transfer from the airport and gave us lots of advice on the best routes and how to make our trip around Sri Lanka easier. He was always happy to help with anything we needed. Lovely property in central location

Der beste Host, den wir in Sri Lanka hatten, weil er ehrlichen Tourismus anbietet. Er ist sehr entspannt und wollte uns nichts andrehen, sondern ist sehr individuell auf unsere Wünsche eingegangen.

Kalum was incredibly helpful at providing recommendations about what to see and do around town. He was a great host.

I was slightly too tall for the bed when lying straight at 188 cm, but I was still comfortable.

Kalum, the host of Lassana Villa, was very kind and helped us to arrange laundry, transportation and tea plantation guide, as well as prepared the breakfast box when we hike to the horton plains in early morning. His hospitality is over the expectation and we really appreciated it.

Great location and fantastic host. Breakfast was delicious and the space downstairs was perfect for a group as there is 3 rooms and a lounge to hang out. Might be a bit awkward if you don’t know the other people as it’s a small space.

Wind whistles through the window so there’s a bit of cool breeze in the room but there are warm blankets provided. Bed was very hard and boney but I think it was just our bed

Our stay at Lassana was great, there was 5 of us (2 couples & 1 single) so we fit in the downstairs apartment perfectly. Kalum was such a great host, he gave us a lot of recommendations of what to do for our 2 days here which included visiting Horton plains NP to do the worlds end loop and then also walking 13kms of the Pekoe trail through the tea plantations. Brekfast was included in our stay and was delicious! Location was great

A charming host with good English and passion for the region. He makes an excellent cup of tea! The rooms are well equipped - comfortable bed, good bathroom and a lovely shared lounge where travellers can meet up. The walk into town is down hill and easy to navigate. We didn't need a tuk tuk. Very good breakfast in the 'room with a view' dining room. ♥️

Warm atmosphere, delicious breakfast, comfortable and clean. Kalum and his family are great hosts! Kalum was very helpful in dropping me to the starting point of Pekoe Trail Stage 22 in Kadalopa and to NanuOya station. The stay is in a good location near to Single Tree Hill and short walk into town centre. Thank you for making me feel welcome!

The owner is kind, helpful and friendly. He gave us great tips for restaurant and also entertainment in Nuwara Elliya. He offers tuktuk rides with great prices. Breakfast was delicious - he asked about our preferencies and diets.

The room was smaller, but it was no problem for us.

Kallum was the most enthusiastic helpful host. From picking me up, suggesting the most amazing things, and probably the best Sri Lankan breakfast I’d had all trip, the dal curry was so good. Nuwara Eliya is cold, but Kallum provided more blankets so I was fine at night. The shower was the best I’d had in Sri Lanka, nice and hot and a perfect pressure. I saw some people in reviews were confused about it, but Kallum explained how to use it clearly on my arrival. The rooms were really nice and not damp at all, and there is an awesome common area. If you are fit, everything is within walking distance. I had one full day of walking and was able to see most of the things I wanted in Nuwara Eliya, plus Kallums suggestions. 100% stay here, and if I came back I wouldn’t go anywhere else.

Host was really welcoming and helpful. Brought us to a tea plantation and factory for a reasonable rate, prepared an early breakfast before our train to Ella and gave lots of tips.

Room was a little cold but probably due to time of year also. Place is a little off the main road but tuk tuks are very reasonable to get around.

This was one of the most beautiful and cozy, comfortable places I have stayed at. The host was truly amazing. The breakfast was so good and there is a tuktuk than can take you around anywhere you need. It is very well located and easy to find.

We booked two double-bed rooms through Booking.com after seeing the attractive pictures online and paid a 50% advance. However, when we arrived with our family, the reality was completely different from what was advertised. Instead of proper double-bed rooms, they had simply pushed two single beds together. The rooms were poorly maintained, the floors were dirty, and the bathrooms were unhygienic and clearly not cleaned properly. When we complained, the hotel management casually said the better rooms were already given to other guests because of the holiday season, but they never informed us about this before taking our advance payment. This feels very misleading and unprofessional. Despite providing low-quality rooms, they still charged the full rate shown for the better rooms online. Since it was around 10 PM, raining heavily, and we were travelling with family, we had no practical option to cancel and search for another hotel. Very disappointing experience and definitely not worth the money.

I absolutely loved my stay here and even ended up extending it. The place is beautiful, with stunning views over Nuwara Eliya, and it was so nice to take a break from the hot weather and enjoy the cooler mountain air. The whole stay felt incredibly cozy and peaceful. My friend and I each booked a room, and we loved spending time in the common area with tea, coffee, and comfortable sofas. We would gather there in the mornings to meditate and do yoga together. The breakfast was amazing every day! But the best part of the experience was definitely our hosts, Surangi, Kalum, and their daughter. Surangi has such a calm and gentle energy, while Kalum is warm, lively, and always ready to help. He organized our transport to Adam’s Peak and was always attentive to anything we needed. One day I wasn’t feeling well, and he was incredibly caring and even helped me get medicine. I would definitely come back and stay here again, and I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful and welcoming stay. Cozy beds, hot water, beautiful views, and truly wonderful people.

Обычный номер, удобная кровать. Переночевали, позавтракали и поехали дальше! Отмечу завтрак , а особенно его подачу, как в ресторане. Хозяин посоветовал фабрику, где можно увидеть процесс приготовления чая и купить хороший чай. Честно сказал, что чай очень качественный, но при этом дорогой. А ещё он подарил нам пачку чая :) Воспользовались его советом. Спасибо большое!!!

- the owner was very friendly and helpful - the room was clean and as described - the common area was beautifully decorated as in the photos - breakfast was nice - two blankets provided, which was good enough for the night - hairdryer was provided

Uns hat der Aufenthalt sehr gut gefallen. Der Host Kalum war super und hat uns sowohl bei unseren Fahrten zum Bahnhof und zurück als auch bei Fahrten in der Stadt und zum Hortons Plain unterstützt und diese organisiert bzw. hat uns auch selbst, teilweise spontan, gefahren. Außerdem hat er eine gelungene Überraschung zum Geburtstag organisiert und sogar selbst ein tolles Geschenk vorbereitet. Auch ein selbst gemaltes Bild seiner Tochter gab es dazu - das fanden wir sehr süß! Wir haben mit ihm auch unsere weiteren Reisepläne besprochen und bekamen sehr viele wertvolle Tipps und Hinweise. Das Zimmer war zudem sauber und gemütlich, das Frühstück sowie unser Frühstückspäckchen für den frühen Ausflug zum Nationalpark waren ausreichend und lecker. Von der Unterkunft aus ließ sich die Stadt problemlos zu Fuß erkunden.

Kalum je velmi prijemny hostitel, dokaze velmi dobre poradit a odporucit kde ist a co vidiet. Rano nam pripravil skvele ranajky (s vyhladom na hory). Ubytovanie bolo super, v izbe je vsetko co potrebujete. Izba bola cista.

Bolo citi nejaky zapach (dym alebo spaliny) zrejme z vonku. V izbe bolo pomerne chladno, takze si urcite zobrte aj telejsie oblecenie na vecer. Kalum tam vsak mal deku, takze pre nas to bolo skor prijemne schladenie po horucich dnoch.

El host muy amable, me fue a buscar a la estación. Estuvo pendiente y haciéndome recomendaciones. Al día siguiente preparo el desayuno para llevar, ya que había que salir temprano para tomar el tren. La habitación básica, pero bien! Muy limpio, con agua caliente, que se agradece porque en la noche hace frío. Tiene una sala común con sillones que se puede utilizar.

Good location, nice breakfast area and good food. The room is basic, but the biggest highlight of the stay is the host. He took plenty of time to listen to our ittinerary and shared excellent tips. Tips, that save money and bring you to lesser-known gems of Sri Lanka. Kalum's English is also very good, which I found to be quite rare in Sri Lanka.

It would help to have hooks in the room and bathroom to hang clothes.

Absolutely amazing host! He helped me to make a good itinerary for my short stay in Nuwara Eliya and gave me good food recommendations. He is a really genuine person that wanted for me to have the best experience and I really appreciate it. On my next day he prepared a breakfast for me to take it with me since I needed to leave for my train to Ella. The apartment is located is a calm area and yet really close walkable distance to the center of the city.

- Vriendelijke en behulpzame host. Geeft advies voor activiteiten en helpt met plannen. Goed bereikbaar via Whatsapp en in/rondom het guesthouse. Regelt tuktuk vervoer naar bijvoorbeeld Horton Plains voor lage prijs. - Ruime, schone kamer met extra deken, goede wifi en een heerlijke warme douche. Gedeelde woonkamer met banken en waterkoker. - Goede locatie op 15 minuten loopafstand van het centrum. Hou rekening met het laatste stuk omhoog lopen, maar dit is goed te doen. - Heerlijk ontbijt en zo nodig pakket mee voor onderweg.

Gute Lage. Super freundlicher und hilfsbereiter Gastgeber. Zuvorkommend. Außerdem wurden Ausflug-Tipps weitergegeben. Das Frühstück wurde auf einem abgestimmt und man hat sich nach Essgewohnheiten erkundigt. Es war lecker und ausreichend um in den Tag zu starten.

Die Ausstattung des Zimmers. Sehr Sperlich eingerichtet. Außerdem war das Bett sehr hart! Für das Geld und für eine Nacht, die wir hatten, war es ausreichend.

Host was very accommodating and gave us very good tips for dinner and tea factory. The restaurant view was really nice too. Host made us take away breakfast for 7.30 departure which was nice as breakfast does not start till 8 am.

The owner was polite, informative and helpful. Unfortunately it rained for the 3days I was there,so it was very cold. I asked for another blanket and he kindly brought me one. Logan pointed me the direction of a hike through the tea plantations located behind the property, absolutely enjoyed the hike to the top,views were spectacular ✨️ The breakfast was outstanding. Definitely good value for money.

ホストがいつも私のことを気にかけてくれており、旅行プランも一緒に決めてくれ、彼の友人のトゥクトゥクも紹介してくれました。チェックインした際、偏頭痛で苦しんでいたのですが、すぐに”What I can do for you?”と言って紅茶とクッキーを出してくれました。本当に助かりました😭🌈 質問やリクエストはホストにWhat’s upで送ると数分で返信が来て対応してくれます。朝ごはんも本当に美味しくて、スムージーや綺麗な飾り付けをされたスリランカ式卵焼きは丁寧に作られているのがよくわかります。寒いヌワラエリヤでホッとできる素敵な場所でした。ブランケットを2枚用意してくれており、ヒーターも借りれたので寒くはなかったです。よく眠れました。また戻ってきたいです！ありがとうございました🌟

Kalum is an excellent host. His breakfasts were great and the views at breakfast were also very good. He told us about the Pekoe Trail which was a nice hike. The room was cozy and comfortable. Blankets were nice and warm for the cold weather. It's such a convenient place to stay, a short walk to many places. Definitely stay here if you want a relaxing, cozy time and some good conversations.

The accommodation was great and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had rented all 3 bedrooms, so we also had the living room to ourselves and could spend our evenings there. The host Kalum was very helpful, he arranged a pick-up from the train station, advised on walking tours in the area and recommended restaurants. The breakfasts were delicious and we had tea available throughout our stay. I would like to point out that Nuwara Eliya is the highest city in Sri Lanka at almost 2000 m, you need to bring warm clothes, often a jacket and a warm hat are also needed.

What we appreciated most were his excellent tips for activities, thanks to him we discovered the Pekoé Trail, which turned out to be one of the best things we did in Sri Lanka. We are so grateful for his hospitality and would highly recommend staying here!

El desayuno fue lo mejor. Mucha cantidad y muy rico. El dueño nos ofrecía movernos en tuk tuk a buen precio. Tenía una sabana muy calentita, venía muy bien porque hacía mucho frío.

Se fue la luz en varias ocasiones. La ducha es cierto que no sale gran cantidad, por lo que quizás podrían mejorar en ello ya que hace mucho frío fuera, pero aunque no sale gran cantidad, sale caliente. El wifi aunque tienen, no funciona en la habitación.

Kalum is een fantastische eigenaar/gastheer. Hij kent de stad zeer goed! Hij heeft op alle vragen een antwoord en doet dat met veel plezier! Wij verbleven hier 3 nachten en hij heeft ons een mooie planning bezorgt voor 3 dagen. Van theeplantages tot Horton plains. Hij bracht ons zelf naar het ziekenhuis voor een kleine controle van onze baby! Ook dit regelt hij zonder moeite, hij bleef zelf wachten samen met ons. Huur een scooter en luister naar zijn tips! Wij komen zeker terug! Nog eens bedankt Kalum.

Lo que mas me gusto fue la amabilidad de kalem que se ofreció a llevarnos con un tuktuk por las cascadas de ramboda y nos llevo hasta dentro de la cascada lo cual solos igual nos hubiesemos sabido entrar hasta dentro y todo por un precio muy barato cuando el tour que nos hizo fue de 4 horas ya que despues nos llevo a una fabrica de té y nos buscó a una empleada de la fabrica muy amable que sabia hablar español :). Nos llevó a cenar al mejor sitio de nuwara eliya un restaurante muy ambientado y con una comida muy rica. Y al dia siguiente nos modificó nuestro itinerario de viaje por otro mucho mejor y la verdad que ha estado muy acertado. Kalem se ha portado de maravilla👌☺️

The location is good enough. The breakfast was very good.

The room is cold and very humid. There is a smell of dampness. After two days of staying, all our clothes were wet. There is hot water in the shower, but it is impossible to bathe because the bathroom is very cold.
