There was no breakfast. Although it tells you to order breakfast before 7pm the day before we were told they don’t do breakfast.

Excellent location. Slightly restored quaint Georgian building on seafront. Evening food recommended - is Malaysian.

Understaffed. Staff difficult to find. Are friendly enough if you find one. Not a fan of the mod cons like the doors and room controls are via Echo voice control . And the blue lights stay on all night. Breakfast is additional charge and is a random vegetarian or Halal style with no apparent choices. Parking is very unlikely unless you book well ahead.

Room to small with restricted access to bathroom due to bed obstructing door opening..Access to bed restricted due to sloping ceiling meaning you needed to bend to avoid hitting head to gain access to other side of bed and to open window..This is not a proper hotel more Airbnb.Waited 1 1/4 hours for access to room due to them not sending room code and no staff to heip

Location was perfect along the seafront, we booked a sea view room with a balcony. Friendly staff who made us feel welcome and a modern, clean room with all the facilities we needed. Fabulous meal at the Malaysian Restaurant in the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

The only thing that was good was the internet speed.

The room was very small, suppose to be king size. No where to put clothes so used suitcase. The finish in bathroom was questionable, with gaps around electric point (razor) that could cause issues with water. No net curtain on window and overlooked by flats opposite. The windows were paint stained and dirty. The room was described as a suite, that's a joke. No restaurant and no breakfast available. No reception staff to speech with outside booking in period. Outside the room in the corridor all the bags of bed linen were stored, not sure if clean or not but the hotel had an old smell about it. Very disappointing stay. Would not recommend anyone stay here.

Lack of storage for toiletries in the bathroom and only 2 coat hangers provided on the clothes rail. Only mirror in the room was by the door and the plug for the hairdryer was on the opposite wall, so was difficult to dry hair. The shower was either cold or scalding. No parking or breakfast. The communal areas need some serious updating and a very strong cooking smell thought out once the restaurant was open

The position of the hotel and the new systems in place for lights, curtains etc. Staff were very pleasant.

We had the king size deluxe seaview. Balcony very narrow and not separated from the rooms along the balcony area. Anyone could have walked past and looked through the window. The picture on line showed the room with 2 windows we had just one. I think the room was very overpriced as over £100 per night with no breakfast was quite steep. The room itself was very small but very clean. All the modern echo demands were very hard to use as we couldn’t get them to work.

Needed a bath mat in the shower. The hole filled with a plastic bag in the bathroom area needs to be sorted. Some smart features were not working in the room. Would have liked the restaurant to serve breakfast.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The hotel does still feel a little dated but the rooms have been updated. Maybe they could of invested in new carpets in the rooms to finish the look rather than all the Alexa gadgets

There was no option to get breakfast just a notice on the dining room door. The carpets in the room had not been hoovered as I got someone's long hairs stuck around my feet.

The property is lovely on the beach front and had a lovely big family room

So the room layout was lovely and the bathroom was beautiful however around 10pm to early hours of the morning there was banging and loud voices from the room above us and although it’s great to have Alexa on the wall the constant blue flashing light is really hard to fall asleep too,around the top of the bed was loads of chips and scuffs out of the wall and there was lots of marks which let the room down as the actual beds and furniture was a very nice touch,staff were very friendly and helpful but from the messages sent it was very hard to know that we should of collected a key and where from. And to be texted early hours of the morning reminding me of the checkout time again and asking for a review of the the refurbished room,which as I said given the scuffs in the main bedroom didn’t scream refurbished.

Make sure there is parking first before booking, reserve before booking! Staff not very helpful, called up to discuss parking, told would get a call back and never did. Day of arrival, sign stating no breakfast and as travelling with children this wasn’t great and no communication from the hotel to inform us of this, hence why we chose this hotel, breakfast and parking. Yes the rooms were good, the bathroom looked clean, however there was dirt around the shower basin. Comms from the staff, you may as well just set up a WhatsApp group with them as clearly like using WhatsApp. When mentioning ideas, I was told I’ll speak with manager and did I hear anything back… Your right, no I didn’t.

The hotel building really needs to renovate asap. Needs to be upgraded inside and outside. Room rent was extremely high we paid £275 per night but honestly it wasn’t even one star hotel and as per hotel conditions the rent shouldn’t be more than maximum £70 or £80 per night in peak season and off peak even less. Parking system needs to be improved it’s bloody awful. And there should be access from parking to the building and parking needs to be improved as well. It’s really not worth at all to pay £550 for to nights. They should at least include breakfast but unfortunately nothing. Very average beech.

I was happy with the service, but sad that there was no breakfast. We were told that the person who cookes the breakfast was sick, I hope that you can employ another person, so that the breakfast can be on the menu, if this happens again, because the breakfast is the frst meal of the day, and it sets a person up for the rest of the day. Strong smell of Malaysian food throughout to the extent it made me feel sick. No option for breakfast despite advertising breakfast as available at a cost. Smart rooms felt an invasion of privacy.

The rooms are immaculate. We had a sea view room which was stunning. This is our 3rd stay and we will be coming back

If you want a quiet stay it’s on the main promenade so is quite noisy at night. Didn’t bother us but in case people weren’t aware.

Lovely view to the sea, clean and fitted with lots of mod cons. The attached Malaysian restaurant was very tasty.

The location was perfect, right opposite the beach and slightly away from the noisier end of the beach.

Property was tired and smelt damp. Shower went from warm to boiling without warning so please be careful. In my opinion the property didn't need Smart devices but, instead, a repaint and tidy up. Struggled to find a TV channel. For the price, it was more than suitable.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The bed was really comfortable and the location was absolutely perfect 👌 sea front and a very quiet street not far to walk to restaurants and amusements

You can see an effort had been made to modernise the hotel however there is a very musty smell that's noticeable right away. The place is quite shabby and there was a crack in our window, but I suppose for a building of its age this is to be expected. I feel the price point is quite high for what it is but overall happy and would stay again though would book a sea view next time but likely not longer than a night or 2 stay

On the seafront, I wouldn't rate it as 4*, more like 2* - 3*.

1. There was no breakfast due to "an urgent family emergency" with no alternative provided. 2. The general lack of care with regard to the state of the floors (un-vacuumed carpets), careless decor (a hole in lobby wall and unfinished paint area in the hall archway) and the extremely narrow corridors. Only one bath towel in our bathroom (we had to take one from the untidy pile in the hallway) 3. The fact that our car-parking space was taken during our evening drive into Weymouth and we had to park our car away from the hotel overnight.

Location was excellent and view as described.

Restaurant closed. Car park full of rubbish, very shabby. Reception not inviting. Walls grubby throughout hotel. Stairs and landing outdated. Window catches broken. Sink had a massive crack in it. It was presented as a modernised facility with hints of its historic past but its more of a work in progress. Not impressed which is sad given the amazing location.

Close to where I was going fishing

Nothing really worked properly, someone was sleeping in the entrance/foyer on a bench. Lights turned off randomly, bed uncomfortable.

Location was brilliant. I liked having a window you could open, and a fan. Considering the heat during my stay I was quite comfortable.

Breakfast was not available. Annoying but not too bad. Green security light in the corner was very intrusive.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, with a comfortable bed. I booked a super king room, but it wasn't super king it was at most kingsize. Bathroom was lovely, spacious and clean. Unfortunately the fan provided wasn't really big enough to keep us cool. Very quiet . No noise from other residents, even form above. Very pleased with our stay and would definitely book there again.

No air con in rooms. Tea wasn’t stocked up and had to ask for more toilet rolls. I would also like to have seen a bolt inside the rooms rather than just rely on the Alexa door lock for peace of mind.

To get to our room we had to go through a rabbit warren of dirty untidy hallways. It looks like this once grand hotel has been chopped up as cheaply as possible was sad really. The floor in our room was on a slant was very odd.

The staff we very friendly and the modern features of the room were great. Slept well, even with the window open it was not loud.

My only negative is the communal areas have not been modernised like the bedrooms so it gives a very mixed vibe but does not deter from the service received.

Great view from the top front room. Really kind and welcoming staff, everyone had a smile and was wanting to help. Having a lift is amazing too. Being able to open the curtains with your voice on the morning was lovely.

The toilet has not been cleaned properly and I did not appreciate sleeping in a room above an oriental restaurant, that was not advertised in the booking our room permanently smelt of strong spice cooking and by 5am we packed and left. The hotel is in serious need of refurbishment for the cost of the room very very disappointed

Lovely hotel, staff are great very helpful they all made my grandson very welcome, lovely clean bright room, great location for beach ,restaurants, attractions, we didn’t try the Malaysian restaurant which is in the hotel the menu looked and smelled great.

Hotel car park was full it only holds 6 cars and there are 22 rooms, also felt we were being sold free hotel parking but all parking is extra cost ,nearest car park the swannary. The rooms were great could do with some more towel hangers in the bathroom for drying towels.
