Great little apartment close to the centre of Bakewell. Easy to find, and although the car park is a little tight, great to have parking in Bakewell! Lovely place to stay and the view over the hillside in the evening was beautiful.

We stayed there on one of the very hot nights this summer, and the fan they provided didn't do a huge amount unfortunately, but better than nothing.

Easy communication with owner/staff. Room was spacious, clean with all necessary facilities. Parking outside, minutes away from the independent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. Easy access to the numerous walking/cycling trails

Greeted on arrival and help with parking space right outside the lodge :) Everything you need in a room and great position to explore Bakewell! Small uphill walk back to the lodge (but you could always drive a minute or so into town and park there if you are not able to complete the small walk).

Only in thing I didn’t like which couldn’t really be helped is I didn’t sleep as someone who stayed above us was you could hear them al light walking/shower/taps etc … but it’s what you expect in old buildings

Perfect location, lovely hosts very helpful.

Very clean and tidy room, with a great view of the town (room 10) The bed was very large and comfortable too. We met Georgina who checked us in and out and she was lovely and friendly. Both Bagshaw Hall and Lodge are in an excellent location, just a few minutes walk from the amenities. You do have to walk up a slope though which was fine for us but not necessarily easy for people with mobility issues.

We stayed in the Ray Mears Suite, it was lovely and quiet and overlooked the garden

The decor was abit tired could do with a make over

Comfortable bed and welcoming staff.

No plug in the sink to have a shave without wasting water. No toilet roll holder so not very hygienic. The furnishing and carpets are showing their age. I appreciate it is very costly but some TLC would not go amiss.

Was up quite a steep hill so gave you a bit of a workout but was close to the centre of Bakewell

Good lotion cleaning lady was a great help with check in and directions.great there was a fan in room with all the hot weather.

Our room had a lovely view of countryside. Good kitchen amenities and comfy beds. Nice bathroom and bedding. Great location in Bakewell. Use of exceptional garden and terrace at Bagshaw Hall. Lovely welcome from staff.

There was parking available though difficult to find on the one way roads. There was a kitchen and fridge which was great to store for our supplies before the walk

The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was so hot that I struggled to sleep.

No internet connection , which affected TV reception Was starting to look a little tired in areas. Needs refreshing with new kitchen equipment and crockery . Car parking can be a problem.

Clean beds. Tea and coffee making facilities. Nice bathroom. Decent shower.

Not very good ventilation. One top fanlight was broken. Accommodation was tired. No lifts. No blankets, only duvets. Car electric charging points were not working, very disappointing as we have an electric car and chose this place because of the central location and car charger points. Extremely poor parking areas. Would not go there again, particularly, as it was high cost and no facilities whatsoever.

Location was brilliant, everything smelt fresh and clean including towels and bedding, staff were lovely and friendly and on hand

hard to find upon arrival (directions a bit unclear). Also, one of us is mobility challenged and fell on the stairs from the apartment to the car park (need more warning), and there were stairs in the apartment. The hob was hard to figure out, and the kitchen facilities were tiny. Very steep down to the town, so needed to drive. Window didn't close properly, but it wasn't noisy.

Very comfortable, room had everything and near town. Early check in and breakfast arranged and both worked smoothly. Breakfast was amazing !

Perfect location into Bakewell. Ample parking and host even let us check in earlier which was a great help. Very friendly host and recommendations given. Very large room and comfortable bed.

A large, cool, airy room with a huge and comfortable bed, great shower, microwave, fridge and car park. The lady was most welcoming. Handy for walking into Town. What's not to like!!!

Lovely large en-suite room with plenty of facilities including microwave and other cooking utensils. All clean and comfortable. Friendly welcome and easy check out procedure. Short walk to centre of Bakewell (down a hill but not too bad)

The room, bathroom and communal areas, felt dated and in need of re-furbishment. The carpets felt dirty making me feel uncomfortable to take my shoes off in the bedroom

It was on a pretty steep hill which took some navigating as we’re in our late seventies. Younger people would have no problem.

Bed was very comfortable, as was the sofa in the lounge. would double as a bed very well to sleep 4. The flat would be good for 3 or 4 as long as only for a couple of nights. Closeness to centre of Bakewell was great and the view and peace was WONDERFUL.

Car park is a bit tight so big cars may struggle to get in easily. The satnav took me to the second car park first which was a timewaster.- otherwise was great.

Very big comfy bed. The shower was big, clean and powerful. Kitchenette to make tea/coffee. Fantastic views across Bakewell. Close to the the town centre (see note below), and free parking (see note below).

Car parking difficult at busy times. Needs other guests to park efficiently and an order for smaller and bigger cars. Beware of the hill into town. A bit steep, but ok if you are able to walk easily.

It was “tired”. The carpet had stains on it The chairs around the table were grubby The toaster was covered in dust The window blinds were grubby No floor grip on the shower/tub & no grab/safety handle, it was awkward to get in & out of as situated very close to the toilet

Local to the town centre, nice shower and room. Great addition if the kitchenette area, very handy.

Parking was a little tight but we did get a space.

The room was quiet spotlessly clean really comfortable and with all the facilities you would want … I especially valued the feather pillow after a hard days walking

Contains everything you need and the views from our room were amazing lovely big bed and plenty of space.

The shower over bath was a bit tricky to get in and out of and I would have liked the bed more if it had a mattress topper or if it was a bit more comfortable

Room had a great view of town and countryside, and was spotlessly clean with everything one could need, including a kitchenette. Staff/owners very helpful and very welcoming. My second stay, and will return.

The yellow comforter on the bed was not clean and the carpet could really do with cleaning also.

The room and view were lovely, clean comfortable and well equipped. Short walk into town.

I was alarmed when door to room opened and I was in my underwear as I was getting dressed, it closed when the person realised this but then a few minutes later there was three people removing the existing mattresses with new ones. I took exception to this as we were getting ready to go out.

Room was nice with a stunning view, perfect location and staff were lovely. Could not fault!

We stayed in one of the lodges with our dog - £15 charge as expected. The lodge is well located with a short walk into the town centre. It was equipped with everything we needed for a short stay and had excellent views of Bakewell from the lounge. We stayed in the Michael Palin lodge which was on the end, providing easy access to the garden for our dog. Price was reasonable and visitors are offered a discount at a local restaurant. Would stay here again.

Not an issue for us but there's a steep walk uphill to the lodge (hence the lovely views). As others have said, the shower can be a little noisy. Also we couldn't open the bedroom window.

We booked last minute and being a holiday weekend, everywhere was booked up. We stayed in the Ben Fogle room with a small kitchenette and bathroom. The view from the large picture window was amazing as we were high up and over looking Bakewell. The bed was large and very comfortable. The shower was hot and powerful. It was lovely and quiet and the parking was free. The accommodation was up a steep hill so ok if you are fit and able. It was a short walk down into the town. Breakfast was brought to the room by Carol and served with a smile. I would definitely stay again.

Something minor, but the cutlery tray could do with freshening up.

Just 1 niggle Bathroom light did not work maybe needed bulb replacing. Meant to leave little note but I forgot. Would definitely stay again. All good 😊.

It's not great if you struggle walking very high on a hill. Not all rooms have a hob.
