Reviewed Aug 11, 2026I had a warm welcome from the staff, and the room and bathroom are nicely decorated and newly renovated. Also, the breakfast is rich in variety.
The door of the room is just on the street and doesn't feel sturdy or secure. There was quite a big gap between the door and the door frame. For the same reason, if you have a light sleep, noise from outside will easily wake you up.

The room, and especially the bathroom (with a discoloured roof in places), would have benefed from a deep clean.

The room wasn't well lit. Only had a small table fan, no AC - so not ideal for summer stays. Hard to locate at night as the hotel is behind the pub. No one really sits at the reception, so have to go into the pub for info. The vibes of the place were a bit shady. I didn't feel safe leaving anything important behind in the room.

On arrival and entering our room I open the curtains to see a man about 50 yards away urinating in front of me. And smoking drugs.. later that day on waiting for friends to pick us up. This same man with a group of people outside the pub drinking and smoking more drugs again the smell was disgusting. Had to move somewhere else. Later that evening after being dropped off. On our way to our room some individual where hanging around made my partner very nervous. She couldn't get in the room quick enough.. they didn't say anything just made us feel very uncomfortable. Hence my partner didn't sleep well.

It would be great if we could have a block booking with a discount. We all have to ring and book direct or go on Booking.com and we all get different prices and deals

The room was stifling hot. Noisy traffic passing by all night so had to try and sleep with the window closed and a very noisy electric fan on. So we slept very little. The steps and walkway to our room badly needed sweeping and our room desperately needed refurbishing.

Reviewed Jun 10, 2026The location was easy to find. The bedroom was clean It had everything that you needed, plus USB sockets. Restaurant, you can have a great Calvary I have to be honest, it was the best Calvary I've had. The vegetables were fresh and the portions of the meat Large but you can have a small Calvary if you wanted excellent, Then breakfast in the morning was substantial, If I need to come back to the area again I will definitely come back to Longshoot.
The only thing I can think of Is the bath and shower fitment, I just like shower cubicles.
