- L’auberge est située dans une rue centrale de Tanah Rata - Les lits, oreillers et couettes sont très confortables et propres - Il y a de grands casiers pour mettre ses affaires dans le dortoir - La dame qui est à l’accueil est adorable et de bons conseils sur les trails - Le cuisine est bien équipée et les deux salles communes sont très lumineuses et agréables - Il y a un grand évier spécialement là pour pouvoir nettoyer ses chaussures, c’est pratique après un trail

- Le dortoir comporte 14 lits pour seulement 2 douches qui font aussi toilettes. On s’y sent donc un peu à l’étroit - Il n’y a pas de climatisation mais des petits ventilateurs dans chaque cabine. J’ai eu un peu chaud pour dormir. - L’auberge est très propre et bien entretenue mais j’ai quand même vu quelques petits cafards se balader

Tout était parfait : l’hôtel était propre et l’emplacement idéal. Je recommande cet établissement sans hésitation !

Les pièces communes et le billard sont très sympa. Tout est très propre et le lit est confortable. La dame de l’accueil nous as même fourni des serviettes.

Les salles de bains sont pas top top mais font quand même le job. Pas de Clim mais des petits ventilos dans les cabines. Il a quand même fait un peu chaud la nuit mais ça allait.

Good place to crash

The hostel is super clean, there is always a cleaning staff member around. The beds are comfortable and have a curtain that makes everything very private. The staff is fantastic, always ready to help you during your stay in Ipoh—very cheerful and fun!

C’est assez simple, cette auberge de jeunesse est de loin le lieu le plus propre dans lequel j’ai séjourné après 1 an de voyage. S’il fallait manger sur la cuvette des toilettes je le ferai sans hésiter. Blague à part, les toilettes et salle de bain sont nettoyées de font en comble environ 5 fois par jour. C’est tout bonnement niquel partout, idem pour les dortoirs qui sont d’une propreté irréprochable. L’emplacement est parfait, central avec tout ce qu’il faut autour et à 5min à pied de la gare de bus. Quant aux hôtes, ils sont disponibles tous les jours pour vous renseigner sur les différents treks alentours ou répondre à vos questions. Bref je pourrais continuer longtemps mais globalement c’est un endroit où aller les yeux fermés, tous ceux qui se plaignent (si tant est qu’il y en est) sont des râleurs insatisfaits 😬

Close to the bus station, good restaurants and most trailheads. Nice common area where you can work/read/chill and meet people. The small kitchenette is very convenient. The beds were comfortable and the pods had their own fans and electric sockets. There are big lockers for your baggages.

There are only two toilets/showers for the entire dorm. The bathroom stalls are very small and there are not enough hooks or shelves to keep your belongings whilst taking a shower.

I love capsules beds! This was one of the most cleans hostels I ever been! Perfect location and good facilities, nice comum area!

Bagni, area comune e pavimento venivano puliti e lavati ogni giorno. Personale super gentile che ti aiuta anche con consigli sulla città e ristoranti. La grande finestra nell’area comune dà su una bella vista verde. L’ostello é silenzioso e in una buona zona.

It’s such a beautiful hostel. Quite compact but really nice and clean with everything you need. You’re able to book tours there and the manager Sel is so lovely and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay there because of how kind she was, would definitely want to go back!

Clean, nice people, beautiful common area. Food downstairs is gooood very good Indian food for breakfast :)

The rooms are hot during the night, not well insulated from noise and light.

The „kitchen“ is basically only a microwave, almost no dishes or cutlery. A stove would be really nice!

The beds should have some holder for things like phone, wallet, and such. My locker did not work very well.

Sehr gute Lage, vom Bus Terminal zu Fuß in 5 Minuten zu erreichen. Personal auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Klo und Dusche war in einem, sodass man teilweise nasse Füße hatte wenn jemand gerade duschen war.

Good location, privacy, friendly staff. The dorm was never full during my stay and I noticed them cleaning the communal areas quite often which was great as there were at least 12 beds in the dorm room for only 2 combined shower/ toilets. Location was fantastic, a short walk to and from the bus stop.

The beds were rock hard and so uncomfortable it made my muscles sore. This is not an exaggeration of any kind. I had to go get a massage after staying here a few nights to loosen up which ended up more expensive than staying elsewhere in cameron hylands.

I stayed here for around a month. The sleepboxes give a lot of privacy, even though it's a dorm. The staff are wonderful, and can accommodate whatever you need. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

My one issue was that the wifi signal sometimes dropped, but I understand we are quite remote in Tanah Rata.

It was clean from the door to bed and everywhere. No bed smells, no insects, no tracks of pests. Nicely organized and cleaned often. Staff are professional and polite.

Wifi was not as good as others I mentioned, and no AC. Blanket was thick and I could not sleep longer hours at once. A little pan is in the each dom, but it is almost pointless somehow, it makes noisy, but no functional works

Im playing pool at 8am since there can play 8am till 10pm. 1 reception guy i dont know he is indian / bangladesh being RUDE to us. He say cant play cause the noisy of ball while there was a notice board can use the pool table at 8am. We dont make a noise but the ball, the way he talkerd to us really RUDE, i hope the management of this small hotel can take action. i dont wanna fight with him, but please have a manners. tq broski indian/bangladesh! please change your attitude :)

Good location. You have your own space, it is like a capsule, you have curtains, etc.

When I took a shower the water was really cold.

Nice common room, not very social though. Bathroom/ showers are tiny but clean. Staff: reserved, not unfriendly.

This was by far one of the best places I’ve stayed for the price I paid. You can tell and see that things are cleaned often. The common space to sit and chill is such an inviting place with lots of natural light! The beds were comfy and came with a fan, light, plug, and hook! I loved that they had lockers large enough for bigger backpacks and that the lockers were right next to the bed so you didn’t have to go far. I felt very comfortable and safe here and would 100% stay here again! Thanks so much for making my stay in Tanah Rata so pleasant. ☺️

The India staff really rude! He need to learn to talk nicely to other with respect. His tone are not welcoming and for sure I won’t go to this place again.

The hot shower in the bigger shower was not working properly, the smaller bathroom was very narrow because it had also the toilette inside, otherwise good hostel

Bricks is a very cosy place. The staff was very helpful, also when it comes to tour bookings. It was clean, and the Sleepboxes provided a good amount of privacy for a hostel. They also have a little community area and a pool table.

Sadly, there was no laundry machine, and the WiFi signal was not strong enough to reach the Sleepboxes in the back of the room.

This was one of the better stays I've had in Malaysia. The staff were nice. The common area was very good and the location superb...walking distance to everything I like. Very clean hostel.

The internet was not good

Nice capsule dorm beds with charging point, reading light and blind. Large lockers. Clean facilities and nice common area (with free pool table). Good location in Tanah Rata. Make sure you check the address, we first went to a guesthouse a few blocks over with a similar name as Google maps has the hostel address incorrect.

Bathroom facilities were fine for us but the dorm was only half full during our stay, I wonder if it might be a little crowded if the dorm was full.

place is full of inconveniences; • Cramped bed-space. • Pillow & quilt covers are in strange colours (not white), so its difficult to guess if they have been changed or washed. • Very short ladder steps, extremely difficult to climb up to the top bed. • Very small bathroom (combined toilet & shower) & no place to hang clothes! • No bodywash/soap in shower

Really friendly service, very nicely designed and equipped common space, and a fantastic location

There are too few toilets and showers, and above all, their micro size is inconvenient.

The privacy , sleeping in the box, let me have a good rest. Also I appreciate the rules, keeps a good environment.

-My stuff got stolen, total of 500 dollars / euros gone, staff did not care to much. -You literally need to sit on the toilet to shower. - its small and not a social hostel
