Great location and spacious rooms. Quiet and central location.

The unit was cosy clean and comfortable. We slept really well on a nice firm bed. Everything we needed and more was provided. It was super quiet. If we had wanted to venture out it was close to other facilities. Brekky provisions were in the fridge even delicious date scones. Overall we felt that this was excellent value.

The soft pathway to the cottage was difficult with our large suitcases we couldn't wheel them. But that was a minor point.

Perfect location for a 2 night stay

This is the second time I've stayed at this property. It is warm comfortable and there is lots of little extras that Victoria house supplies

Chambre très très spacieuse. On a l’impression d’avoir une petite maison en location avec une belle déco bien prononcé mais agréable. Point bonus pour le petit déjeuné mis à disposition.

Rien à redire pour seulement 1 nuit, peut-être un peu grand juste pour une personne mais c’est toujours agréable d’avoir de l’espace.

This accommodation was everything we could have imagined and more! The host was absolutely lovely and even packed breakfast for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The place had everything we needed, with a great kitchen, an amazing tub, and beautifully clean and warm rooms and living areas. Everything felt so comfortable and welcoming. Honestly, one of the best stays we’ve ever had and we would definitely recommend it!

The host was absolutely the best

Beautiful homely feel about this lovely old house. It has been well cared for and decorated in a style that suits its age perfectly. A quiet and peaceful location, yet close to the township.

Warm and comfortable. Very comfortable bed but see note below. Generous and varied hot drink and breakfast items. Enjoyed the character of the rooms... it added interest. I was surprised by the spaciousness of the apartment. Lovely welcome from hosts but good privacy for guests. Thank you for an enjoyable stay. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Bed cover wasn't tucked in on both sides so Phil woke up uncovered during the night and had to pull coverings over himself. Didn't realise the electric blankets were already on, so bed was very hot. Perhaps preset on 1 rather than 2. One other suggestion... the bathroom is large enough to have a little stand or stool. It would be good to have somewhere to place toilet bags and clothes when showering.

Great venue with plenty of privacy, especially considering how close it is to town. Excellent value for money, and I would happily stay here again.

Relaxing chilled atmosphere

Very clean, private and good facilities. Bedroom is small but you can put your bags in the other room as u have the whole place. Staff very helpful.

The only thing I would say is the hot tub needed to be a little bit warmer but wasn't a biggy.

It was a total package, everything you need is already in this rental property. We really enjoyed our stay in Geraldine and with had a wonderful stay! Hats off to the owner and the gentleman that accommodate us when we arrived.

It was lovely and cosy and having a spa was nice too & we loved the breakfast very thoughtful

We didn't receive the corerct code before we arrived nor do the other couple might of been a delay on booking.com maybe a text sent might be better.But we were very thankful that we got it sorted

The heater was on when I arrived, we'll presented and fun. I had the Audrey Hepburn room.

A good amount of space and a walk to the township.

Lovely little apartment with grat families. Was spotless . Julie and Paul were so helpful easy to contact.

The property was exceptionally clean, very well provisioned for a BnB, and comfortable. The spa was a welcome extra. The hosts have taken great care to provide a high standard BnB and it shows.

We enjoyed the Oats, milk and bottled water.

The accommodation was great. The hosts were great. Excellent value for money. Added bonuses included an outdoor spa which is tastefully decorated and a great selection of breakfast items in the fridge . Bed was comfy . Thoroughly recommend

What a lovely apartment, beautifully decorated, such a well appointed, spacious and comfortable place to spend a couple of nights in town. It was quite a surprise; places don't often live up to photos, but Victoria House genuinely did! The lounge/dining room is above and beyond (and the beds are comfortable). And the hosts were generous with snacks and food provided for breakfast.

No complaints at all.

The only small downside was that the fan heaters were quite noisy. Oil heaters would be a great improvement and would make the rooms even more comfortable and quiet.

Cosy comfortable with kitchen facilities and own bathrooms at a great price

It was wonderfully decorated and convenient.

Tiny niggly thing, light switches for bed side lamps hard to access and bathroom a little tired, but these are by no means big issues just possible things to improve in the future.

I had a fantastic stay! The host was very friendly and welcoming, always easy to communicate with. The location is great, and the apartment is well-equipped with everything you might need. It was also surprisingly quiet, which made for a perfect night's sleep. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Very roomy living / dining area. Everything we needed for an overnight stop while travelling down the South Island

Being in walking distance of the town was good. The bed was comfy.

Breakfast could have been better. Mostly did not eat it. One Weetbix and one piece of toast were provided for each day. When the milk ran out it was not replaced. There was enough ground coffee to make one pot. Two hard pears never ripened while I was there. I’m not quite at ease with plastic flowers and a lot of Katherine Hepburn memorabilia. The blinds didn’t work very well.

Lots of space and it was a bonus to have a separate living area, bedroom and and kitchen dining. The property let down was that no one had checked the crockery, and though there were 2 dinner plates, 3 side plates, one large salad bowl there was not one small bowl to use for breakfast cereal or dessert! The basin in the bathroom was tiny with a glass shelf mounted directly above it, so close that spitting out toothpaste was an impossibility. The kitchen (apart from no bowls) was very well equipped with dishwasher and many appliances.

Great location, very spacious and the rooms are full of Victorian character. Our dining room and lounge were all like being in a full-sized house, likewise the bedroom and bathroom.

The bed creaked quite a bit in its frame but we still slept comfortably.

Close to town, good size. Quiet and a dark bedroom Breakfast included which was nice. A good place to stop to see Geraldine, which is a surprisingly lovely little town. Worth the stop

Victorian villa decor in a big apartment

A very big bathroom with nowhere to put your stuff, big waste of space. A lot of dust collecting tchotchkes throughout. Suggest locking your belongings, if you don't want them rifled through here.

Victorian era house tastefully furnished in keeping with the period. Great plaster ceilings! Separate dining/sitting room appreciated. Close to town centre. Overall, excellent value.

Check in proceedure slightly odd. On main road and noisy at times being at front of house. Otherwise, all good.
