It was a well appointed clean portable type cabin but was extremely tiny for the amount of money we paid

Nice and cosy, facilities were clean and easily accessible. Staff were friendly and helpful. Very reasonable for the price.

The holiday park is very well-maintained, clean and in fantastic location. The room was warm with an AC and heater and staff were very friendly and helpful. You can walk everywhere as it’s so close to the main street with great shops and cafes.

When the blinds and curtains are open during the day everybody can see right in So when I was in the unit I felt I had to have the blinds closed all the time however there was almost no one else in the accommodation because of the time of year

Lovely small park in a very pleasant town. Facilities were good.

No sink in the room. Sockets in the room are not close to the bed. A small but important detail.

Always a good place to stay. Great little comfy cabin. All you need. Easy walk into town.

We stayed in a new cabin with 4 beds. It was clean and kitchen wares were provided along with a kettle in the room. The bathrooms were great! Good water pressure and plenty of hot water even if it was on a timer. Hair dryer was provided and a wall heater to keep you warm when you come out of the shower. Shares kitchen was neat and bonus instant hot water dispenser was available. Check out the room next to the kitchen area for 400 mini race car collection. The park is very close to the town too. Very easy walking distance to the local market

The cabin was very welcoming. A note of welcome from the owners and a chocolate each. Made us feel very special and so pleased we had booked this accommodation.

When checking in, the offer of milk for our tea/coffee at kitchenette.

Gut geführter Holidaypark. Cabin zwar klein aber sauber und zweckmäßig eingerichtet. Personal sehr freundlich. Geraldine ist ein überaschend nettes, typisch neuseeländisches Städtchen.

No toilet in room but that was what I paid for. Toilet block was only a few steps away and was spotless.

Good facilities on a friendly site, unusually set in the very centre of this lovely town. Perfect for our overnight stay. The staff let us stay on way over checking out time to use WiFi to sort flights admin.

It’s a bit pricey.

A beautiful parking ground with lots of space, green, very central and close to everything. Lovely staff and a great vibe. Very close Barker’s cafe which was a highlight. Peaceful and quiet, Geraldine was a sweet little spot. Safe, family friendly and next to a great park for kids.

Very well located, a short walk into town. The grounds were well kept, with activities for kids and the room clean and quiet. The added touch of a note and choccies made it extra special.

Thought expensive but we have found all of the South Island to be over expensive Certainly is cheaper to travel around overseas!

The sheets smells of mildew The bedspread smells of someone elses body odor Kitchenette basics like cutting board was not available.

Was a nice place to stay bed were like brick's though and sqeeky... could hear the neighbors.. and had to wait ages for toilets

Plenty of room to move in cabin & used the large kitchen in the park it had all the items I needed. Bathrooms are located close to cabins always clean & tidy. Very happy with my stay will come back again next year

Clean, comfy, treats out, everything covered to make a snack or a drink, sheets seem like cotton and bathroom super nice. The location was a short walk to my venue/outing and the park was quiet, no rowdy people there, all perfect really

The room listings for this property are misleading and confusing. On the landing page, only one room is clearly labelled as “with shared bathroom”, which strongly implies the other room types have private bathrooms. This is not true. Several other room types also use shared bathrooms, but this crucial information is buried in the fine print instead of being clearly stated in the room title. I only discovered there was no private bathroom after arriving. When I raised this at the front desk, the owner immediately understood the issue but insisted that “it’s written in the details” and blamed me for not reading everything carefully. I found this response dismissive and unpleasant. The room titles appear deliberately worded to make less desirable rooms seem more appealing, while essential information such as shared bathrooms is hidden in the details. A bathroom arrangement is a basic expectation and should be stated clearly and upfront on the main listing, not left for guests to discover after check-in. When I requested a refund due to the misleading listing, the owner refused, claiming the booking was “non-refundable”. This felt unreasonable and unfair, as the issue was caused by false or incomplete advertising, not a change of mind on my part. By hiding critical information until after payment, guests are effectively placed in a situation where they cannot make an informed decision and are then denied any remedy once the issue is discovered. Due to the misleading information and the way the situation was handled, I would not recommend staying here.
