Sunliya Resort

Posizionato a 3 min dal mare, stanza davvero tanto grande e spaziosa. Tutto perfettto

Close to the beach, big beds, cute garden and kind family with three cute daughters:)

Breakfast was quite small

The kindest & most helpful host you can imagine! We had wonderful time in Tangalle, rooms are comfy, with great beds, no AC though so it is a bit hot in the evening. Tasty breakfast, everything super clean and well maintained. Close to beautiful beaches and many cafes. We stayed for 4 nights with our family of 5 and would definitely come back again 🙏ps cute bar next door YUM serves best piñacoladas EVER!

A wonderful guesthouse in a great location, close to both the beach and the city center. Spacious rooms with a kitchen and a lovely terrace. Delicious breakfast. A very helpful owner. We highly recommend it!

Czyste i ładne pokoje. Blisko jednej z głównych ulic przy wybrzeżu, gdzie można smacznie zjeść. Polecamy pokoje i lokalizacje.

-Ubicación. -Instalaciones nuevas. -Trato excelente.

A día 18/08/2025 el alojamiento está en obras y hay mucho ruido desde las 8:30am.

Clean, spacious and great location, short walk from the beach. The hosts are amazing made us feel very comfortable and welcome. Highly recommended

Nice room and good location and close to the beach

No AC in the room and it got extremely hot even with the fan on full speed. Also on the last day it had been arranged for us to checkout at 11am however staff were knocking on our door and window early in the morning despite having pre agreed the time. We felt a bit uncomfortable from this as the curtains didn’t fully shut and so we could be seen on the bed.

This place has very good location, ciosem to the beach and city centre. Garden is very beautiful, room is big and has everything what needed. There is albo kitcgem which you can use and preper own food. But the most important and the Best is owner and his friendly and helpfull family. Easygoing People with big talent to cooking. Amaising breakfast with ice cream🙂. I full rekompensuje Basu and his place. It was pleasure to spend time in this place with lovely owner.. One day i will come back there

Basu is a really nice guy, that helped us with everything and was always friendly and smiling. The room ist very spacious and clean. The bed is comfy as well. The beach and a lot of diffrent restaurants are reachable within a few minutes walk. The centre of Tangalle is only a 15 min walk away, where you can find ATMs and also restaurants or supermarkets. We can highly recommend this accomodation.

Nothing. Everything was good :)

Excellent location, 3 minutes from the beach, 12 minutes on foot to the center. A large and very clean room, a quiet place, friendly hosts, family atmosphere. Restaurants in the vicinity. A great choice.

Location was just off the Main Street with small family restaurants along the way. It was less than 5 min walk to the beach. For this price I don't think you could get better! The bathroom was a good size and so weee the rooms

The room smelt a bit musty but really just need to be aired out.

Location just a 5 min walk to the amazing beach, a few good restaurants right outside.and away from the noisy bus route. Big rooms and shared balcony. Realy friendly host who spoke good English.

Cold shower (some of the pics showed an electric shower but not in our room). The room construction is quite open by the roof so you can hear every noise outside we still slept well though. These issues wouldnt stop us from returning though.

Lovely clean room, very central and lovely friendly host who makes great breakfasts. Great location, close to the sea. Highly recommend.

We spent 3 nights with our son and were really satisfied, a short walk to the beach, lots of good local restaurants all around. Basu is one of the most willing owners I have met here. many thanks especially to him. Pavel and Oliver

The room was very spacious and the location of the hotel is great. Very close to the beach and some great restaurants nearby.

We had no mosqito net in our room and no AC. At this price point I would not expect the latter but a mosquito net would be nice.

Place is next to the small one beach. This area in general more suitable for snorkelling. But still can swim, chill. Close to that area famous party place they said. Every Wednesday and Saturday for now:) Clean place. Fresh room. People who are managing this place are very nice, helpful. On WhatsApp online with you. There was comments about dogs, but dogs didn’t bother us at all, none was barking

The owner was very helpful. The room was big, new and clean.

Outside was sometimes a bit loud for me. But not during night. I slept good there.

Everything, the host was great. The rooms were great as well. The host caters to all of your needs and is a great chef serving up a feast for order.Spot is so near the beach and food sources as well. The host is tremendous .

Kind host that wants the best for his guests. The room is big and tidy. The location is great. A lot of good food around and walking distance of amazing beach! And all for a great price!

Room can get quite hot due the lack of airconditioning. This however didn’t bother us.

Staff is super kind and friendly. They communicate clear and are there for you. So you feel very welkom and at ease as a guest. All the best for these beautiful people.

We had an amazing stay at Sunliya Resort. The location was great and the room was very clean and nice. The owners were super friendly and cooked a delicious meal for us!

Love this place.. host is so friendly and accomodating for any needs . Great food also and good local prices.. Well worth a visit Very clean and good location Very comfy beds.. I even slept in 😂

Very lovely owner, short walk from the beach. Spacious rooms with a little seating area with a small kitchen. Very good value for money...

Clean and cozy room, kind hosts.

We were missing the A/C a bit. Despite the fact that there’s a fan, it was still realy hot in the room.

New facilities, close enough to the beach. Music from the nearest cafe finished near 10 pm. I wish you neighbors to finish rebuilding the home faster!

Mosquitoes and midges. This room need mosquito net!

Great accommodation with a lovely room and a nice garden. The delicious breakfast on the terrace was the perfect start into the day. The host family were very friendly and helpful. We had a good time at Sunliya Resort. Thank you.

We were made very welcome and the owner took great care of us throughout our stay and even at the airport where he works. Thank you very much. The accommodation is brand new and clean. I recommend this place! We didn't get a chance to eat there, but the grilled fish smelt delicious!

Nothing

The best place in Sri Lanka :) very nice and helpful host and his family :) room is nice and clean, facility is in good location, near to the beach also a lot of restaurants nearby

Place is good to stay. The location was convenient, both to the sea and to the center. We also had a terrace where we could sit both in the evening and in the morning. Drink coffee or tea and enjoy the quiet place. The host was helpful and nice.

We had wifi but it sometimes worked sometimes not. Too bad there was no hot water.

It's a gorgeous accommodation, freshly renovated. Close to the beach, restaurants and bars. It has a very pleasant interior and comfy beds. The owner is very kind and friendly.

A very cozy place and friendly, hospitable hosts! The room has new furniture, clean, spacious. We ordered lunch and dinner from them and they always took into account our wishes in food. Outside there is a small kitchen with all necessary utensils. Close to the ocean. I recommend it!

Price - very reasonable! Spacious room Close to the beach

Owner is very nice and helpful but a bit intrusive

It is very cheep

This city is dead. The owner is trying to be nice and helpfull but he is insistent...

The room and bathroom are very big and comfortable. There is a nice garden and some cooking facilities. Bassu and his family and dog Rosi are very welcoming and nice. He helped us to know where to see the turtles laying eggs at night and packed us dinner for the trip. We also had the best breakfast in Sri Lanka! We got to taste the famous buffalo curd and we cooked roti for us, among many other things. They also allowed us to park our tuktuk in their yard. Location is good, just next to the beach. And everything for an unbeatable price!

A mosquito net would have been nice to have.

We had a very lovely stay at the Sunliya Resort. Basu lives there with his family and we felt very welcome. He provided us with breakfast (diner also optional) and really tries his best to help us. We would highly recommend this place for a stay in Tangalle!

A wonderful place, a large new clean room, a cozy garden. Near the sea, beaches are free, there are places to swim without waves. There are many restaurants around, a shop nearby, you can also walk to the market and the supermarket, not very far away. A caring friendly family will solve any issue and help with pleasure. We recommend 🙏🏻✨
