BAGEECHAA STAY

We have absolutely loved our time at Bageechaa. From the moment we arrived, we could see how clean everything was and really cared for. The owner, Shihab has done a lot of travelling so each bedroom is fitted with such high quality and thought through furnishings. Everything is even better than the photos. I have included some up to date pictures. The food was incredible. The chef, Chamara is definitely the best on the island and produces 5 star plus food. Everything we had was delicious and we know our food! Shihab has even put in a Well so even the water in the bathrooms are pure and very clean.

Place is new and modern, Staff is very friendly, there were 3 gentleman running the place, they were very helpful. We used bikes to go round the island.

Soap in the bathroom is a must, we didn't have any, brought our own. Kettle in the room and cups/glasses are needed to make cup of tea. We asked for it. More frequent towels change. The place is next to an air strip. First plane arrives at 6am, we go used to it during the week stay but you will notice it. Having said that it's still good location and value for money, with nice staff.

Dekujeme 🩷 _____________ A modern, beautiful, clean hotel. The room has a beautiful view of the sea, we even saw dolphins. 🥰 We considered the runway behind the hotel a great attraction and enjoyed watching the planes land and take off. But the best thing about the whole stay was the Sri Lankan staff, who were very friendly, enthusiastic, and helpful. 🤩 Every day, the chef prepared a special meal for us using local ingredients, including produce from the garden. Each meal was a completely new experience. 😋 It should be noted that he was also able to accommodate my gluten-free and dairy-free diet without any problems. We fell in love with this place. Thank you 🩷

Nice place, nice staff & good food. No complaints the building is new build and up to western standard and the staff was super friendly. Scuba diving is just beyond good, if you want to see Manta or Whale Sharks I can't imagine a better place - definitely the place to go, if you have +30 dives and are going for spectacular SCUBA diving.

The construction is not fully finished and there was small unfinished parts of the building - not major things just finish.

🌴Our stay at Bageechaa Stay was nothing short of spectacular!🏖️ If you’re visiting Dharavandhoo Island, this is the place to stay. From arrival, Shihab, the incredible owner, welcomed us warmly and ensured every detail of our trip was seamless. Whether it was arranging transfers, planning excursions, or adding thoughtful personal touches, his hospitality was outstanding. 🌿A Tranquil Garden Retreat🏡 True to its name, Bageechaa (meaning "Garden") is a beautiful oasis. The central garden creates a calm, relaxing atmosphere, perfect for dining and unwinding. The modern, stylish design gives it an upmarket resort feel at an affordable price. 🚤 Easy Transfers & Convenient Location ✈️ Shihab arranged a speedboat transfer for us and personally picked us up from the harbour. Dharavandhoo also has its own airport, with 25-minute flights from Malé, making travel effortless. We took the speedboat in and flew back—both organised flawlessly by Shihab. 🌊A Paradise for Marine Lovers🐢🦈 The island is near Hanifaru Bay, where majestic manta rays gather seasonally, and close to a whale shark hotspot. Shihab organized amazing excursions—snorkelling, diving and sandbank trips—with trusted local providers. 🍽️Exceptional Dining👨‍🍳 Bageechaa’s in-house restaurant serves delicious, well-presented meals thanks to their talented chef Senaka. He skillfully prepares Maldivian and Western dishes, even adapting meals for our 8-year-old daughter—a rare personal touch! 🏡Outstanding Hospitality – A Home Away from Home❤️ The Bageechaa team, including the kind and attentive Suba, made us feel like family. Whether you're solo, a couple, or a family, they ensure a memorable, comfortable stay. 🌟The Best Choice on Dharavandhoo!🌟 With top-quality rooms, great service, and personal attention, Bageechaa Stay is the best accommodation on Dharavandhoo Island.

Nothing to dislike. Our overall experience was great!

Everything, the owner and staff are all soo friendly and welcoming

Having traveled extensively across the Maldives, I can confidently say that Bageecha Stay is the best guesthouse I have ever experienced. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this was more than just a place to stay—it felt like home, thanks to the incredible hospitality and warm atmosphere created by the host, Ismael, and his exceptional team. Ismael went above and beyond to ensure every aspect of my visit was perfect. His attention to detail, deep knowledge of the island, and genuine care for his guests made my stay unforgettable. Whether organizing activities or sharing insights about local life, his passion for hospitality truly shone through. Every meal was a masterpiece, combining fresh local ingredients with remarkable skill and creativity. From mouthwatering Maldivian delicacies to innovative international dishes, each bite was a treat. I can honestly say it was some of the best food I’ve had in the Maldives, and I looked forward to every meal during my stay. The guesthouse itself was spotlessly clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect balance of modern amenities and local charm. Its location on Dharavandhoo is ideal for exploring the stunning beauty of Baa Atoll, from its pristine beaches to the incredible underwater world of Hanifaru Bay. Bageecha Stay is a shining example of what guesthouses in the Maldives should strive to be. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic, warm, and unforgettable Maldivian experience. Thank you, Ismael and Seneca, for making my stay so special—I can’t wait to return!

I had the most incredible birthday at Bageecha Stay! The rooms were absolutely spotless, with a lovely fresh scent and everything feeling brand new. The service was top-notch – personalized and thoughtful at every turn. The food? Delicious and beautifully presented! One of the best parts is the ability to choose between local Maldivian dishes or European cuisine, ensuring there’s something for everyone. The island is the perfect size for exploring, with clean beaches and stunning ocean views. The view from my room was breathtaking, with the ocean stretching out right before my eyes. The highlight of my stay was taking a boat trip to a deserted island, which turned out to be the most unforgettable experience. It was peaceful, beautiful, and truly magical – a once-in-a-lifetime moment! For those who love to explore, the resort offers bicycles that you can take and ride around the island. It’s a fun and relaxing way to see every corner of this beautiful place. Everything at Bageecha Stay is designed with attention to detail. The rooms were cleaned regularly, ensuring everything stayed fresh and pristine. They even have special branded beach towels, which was a lovely touch and added to the luxurious feel of the stay. Another unique feature of the resort is the sight of planes taking off – a fascinating experience that makes for amazing photos! The transfer from the airport was very comfortable – we were greeted upon arrival, and everything was handled smoothly. Thank you, Bageecha Stay, for an unforgettable birthday! Highly recommended for an amazing stay!
