Lage, sehr gutes Frühstück, nettes Personal
Zimmer war sehr klein, Badewanne unforteilhaft
The location was ideal for our stay. It was very close to everything and offered a great view. The breakfast was delicious every time and came with decent portions. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and stay here again if I found myself in the area.
Staff = Very helpful. Food = Excellent & a good breakfast choice. Honesty bar at night. Lounge area = Fine Parking = Available and free. Location - Fine however a steep hill to negotiate back from the town which will be an issue for some. Room 9 = Poor. Very dated and in need of some TLC. Broken wardrobe, torn net curtain, curtains themselves old and tired, Wall behind bed had grease stains from previous guests heads. The bed was very noisy. Chairs were old uncomfortable wicker ones. the table for the kettle, cups, tea and coffee was way too small for its intended purpose. A small table in the window bay would be practical so that you could place a cup. The en-suite was tiny which is ok for us but would have been an issue for elderly or larger people. The extractor fan didn't work which is probably why there was black mould on the ceiling and top of the shower cubicle. The shower hose hung across the cubicle so it was in the way when showering. One small bottle of shower gel and two shampoo on arrival but none replaced during a three night stay. All in all a strange one because the age and listed status of the property make it quirky but theres no excuse for tired fixtures and fittings
Tired Room
Vielen Dank nochmal!
Great breakfast and polite staff.
Rickety small double bed. Shabby curtains, very small bathroom. No where to place any toiletries. Room seriously needs up dating. Musky smell.
Period listed property so have to embrace its quirks like low ceilings. But very pleasant overall and breakfast is generous.
It’s a bit tired in places but given the listed status and restrictions that come with that it’s unreasonable to expect top tier contemporary showers and ceiling height.
Thatched roof. Traditional

The breakfast choice and quality were excellent along with the lovely staff I would have no hesitation in recommending Kersbrook for a vacation
The decor is a little bit tired and the double bed could have been bigger?
Room was comfortable and a good size. The breakfast was excellent with a good range of options. Staff were very helpful and friendly.
No complaints about anything!
Location - Very good Breakfast - Excellent Staff - Fantastic Room - Good Parking - Very good
The bathroom was a tight squeeze, but functional. The final set of stairs to room 12 was steep and narrow, more difficult when carrying bags.
The breakfasts were exceptional. A great choice of cooked and continental style breakfast. The full english was one of the best I have ever had, not too much on the plate and very tasty locally produced sausage and bacon with a choice of fried, scrambled or poached eggs, the Old Smokie, smoked haddock and 2 poached eggs was great too. I noticed the children were given a dinosaur egg cup if they had a boiled egg with soldiers, a lovely touch!. The croissants were warm and fresh, the fruit, a range of berries and melon was great too with natural greek style yoghurt, so a wonderful choice. The breakfast cereals were all local, from Dorset cereals. It is worth staying here for the breakfast! The room was spacious, comfortable and clean enough but if the bed or furniture was moved it was not thoroughly vacuumed nor dusted but the sink, loo and shower were all thoroughtly cleaned. The self serve bar in the evening in the separate lounge area is a very good idea. Allows guests to mix or relax somewhere out of the room with a drink, alcoholic or not. Handy if you have young children that you cannot leave alone. They can sleep and the parents have a drink away from the room without disturbing them.
The carpet could have been vacuumed better especially under the beds and furntiure. I know we are the end of a busy season though! There could be more power sockets near the TV to make tea and coffee making easier. (I was in room 2)
Loved this B&B. Such a relaxed, low key, friendly place to stay. Loved everything about it. We had a spacious comfortable room- bright and airy. Loved the honesty bar too. Breakfast was just gorgeous- great selection of ripe, tasty fresh fruit even had blackberries- just picked I'd say! Plenty of lovely yoghurt and nice museli selection. My husband loved the fry too! Very lovely staff- every one of them....and just right music to accompany a busy breakfast room....
Nothing at all!
My wife and i liked all of it .we just cannot fault the whole package .lovely owners and staff ,car parking and close to the town and beach. We will be visiting again. Thank you
nothing

It is a beautiful house in a perfect location, Alex was very accommodating and helpful. Breakfast was cooked to your liking, infact all staff were helpful. Parking is also on location. Stunning views.
Warm welcome, lovely comfortable rooms, quiet and a good location with parking. Breakfast was superb
Nothing much to dislike
Kersbrook is perfectly situated for exploring Lyme Regis offering a very comfortable base. Loved my bedroom , access to a guest lounge with books and local news and a great place to relax at the end of a busy day. Brilliant breakfasts...kippers! fantastic!...and a packed lunch available too. Thank you to Alex and his team who are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I absolutely recommend Kersbrook as a great place to stay.
Great breakfast. Lovely quiet room. Great location with short walk to the beach and shops.
Beautiful building and lovely room. Had a single that looked over the main front entrance. Spotless clean- everything you needed for your stay. Honesty bar and lounge to sit in as well as an outside area for up to 6 people to sit. Quiet( apart from the seagulls). Beautiful breakfast and lovely hosts and staff.
Prachtige accommodatie. Ligging is ideaal.
Good breakfast Cute quirky cottage feel Friendly staff when you saw them
Noisy seagulls roosting on flat roof opposite were noisy all night. Hot in room so had window open so couldn't sleep. Also road noise at front. Lacking in toiletries. shampoo bottle already small and half filled so ran out after one wash and wasn't replaced. Black sealant in shower and sink, shower ran hot and cold and didn't drain quickly enough so you were constantly worried about flooding the bathroom.
Vriendelijk personeel
Kleine douche
Warm attentive staff and cosy snug studio - Lovely breakfast !
Minor point, but intermittent Wifi in the room which got better as the weekend evolved
Breakfast was very good, lots of it and very tasty! Very friendly and helpful staff
Our room was ok, the decor was tired and in need of a good spring clean!
Very pleasant, well run and breakfast was great
Comfortable slightly old fashioned feeling- calm garden oasis. Slightly worried about proximity to road but surprisingly quiet.
Well could do with some refreshments of carpets etc
Very charming accommodation, great breakfast (I can especially recommend the smoked kipper). Alex pointed me to a lovely walking trail along the coast. I had originally booked the single room, which is really tiny, but was able to upgrade to a double room for a small extra charge.
The WiFi was a bit unreliable.
The hotel and room a little tired, no towels in room on arrival but we found some. Ensuite shower and sink both very slowly draining plugs and sealant around shower tray old and a bit mouldy. Overall room ok and picked for location. Breakfast was good
As above
Fint rum, trevlig personal och god frukost. Vi hade det underbara dagar.

Great room with a sea view. Lovely welcome on arrival and local knowledge given verbally and via map. Breakfast was really good every day. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Great location
Everything was a I could see on booking.com and research i did myself so no surprises and nothing to dislike.
Had a lovely stay at Kersbrook. Breakfast was good and the room very nice, looking out over the garden. great location.
Nothing
The bed was so soft it sank in the middle, we couldn't sleep! There was non existent help in the evenings and night, no phone in the room, no phone anywhere else. The manager could only be contacted via local line, forcing me to buy a separate VOIP package just to call his mobile since mobile network was extremely patchy. The wifi did not work in our room. Despite our constant complaints, the manager said it should be working, and when told it still wasn't, responded he wasn't a techie, so for 4 days 3 nights, we were without wifi. Our room wasn't made on the first night because management actually lost the maid's key! I offered to leave the key with them but they rejected and said they will do it during breakfast. When they finally tidied up, supplies weren't replenished, the wet floor mat wasn't replaced, and a fresh towel had a mysterious red stain that maintenance shrugged off as something that "happens all the time"! The TV had no remote. For breakfast, the Greek yoghurt had run out but they had no more supplies, citing an inexperienced cook! The fish we had for breakfast still had scales!
Staff, food and room were fantastic. Comfortable bed and good shower. Lovely garden.
Friendly staff , nice garden good location.
The room was a bit cramped and had a bath with no proper shower .
Friendly efficient owners and staff. Wonderful breakfasts. Comfortable room. Pleasant garden. Inclusive parking on site. Away from the madding crowd.
The Hotel is housed in a historic thatched building with numerous rooms. The owner personally welcomed us on arrival, the staff were excellent and there was a good choice for breakfast starting with juice, cereal, fruit and croissants, to which you helped yourself, followed by a choice of full English, kippers, smoked haddock with eggs and other choices. The place may look a little tired but was also quaint and homely. Would certainly book again if in the area.
Our bathroom was on the small side,wc, basin and shower but well stocked and adequate
Very comfortable, good facilities , staff excellent.
Being disabled the walk into town was impossible but local taxis were very good.
Location, cleanliness, quiet, comfortable rooms, lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
Lovely location within easy reach of everything in the town. The staff were all very helpful and a lovely place to stay. Breakfast was presented every morning great choice of everything. Gardens are great with lots of outdoor seating.

Good location, lovely building

The English Breakfast was gorgeous every morning. The girls serving were lovely and very helpful. It was an enjoyable break.
We booked the Deluxe Double which was smaller than we thought and with the heat the bed was a little on the small side
Comfy rooms. Comfy bed
Felt at home great breakfast, even got baked beans when I requested them. Not part of the normal breakfast, cooked breakfast without baked beans, no way.
Very friendly staff, excellent room and lovely freshly cooked breakfast.
No handrail down to room 10.
Very friendly and helpful staff, good breakfast and excellent location.
Our room. This was a standard double room that was rather tired and in need of refurbishment. The bathroom let it down unfortunately which was extremely small and old with a minimum of toiletries provided and no proper shower. There was a bath with a mixer tap, no shower curtain or wall fixing for the shower head.
The breakfast was excellent
The decor looked a little tired
Great position, convenient for harbour and town
We expected the room to be small but it was inconvenient having the washbasin in the bedroom.
Location, nice guest sitting room, private parking, efficient service at breafast and good selection of cereals. EV charging very near.
It is not a hotel, it is a fairly standard B&B albeit well situated in a nice cottage with an impressive thatched roof. Our ‘small double room’ had only a small double bed, two chests of drawers, limited hanging space. No chair or table. A kettle and tea/coffee but no other extras (e.g. biscuits, hot chocolate, tissues, bottled water, face flannels, bath mat …). Bathroom always a bit damp, towel rail never heated so towels never dried.
Staff were extremely friendly, helpful and welcoming Location was perfect Our room was spacious and comfortable with a fabulous view of the sea Breakfast was delicious and freshly cooked Place was full of character Lovely resident dog 🐕
Nothing!
Easy walk to town and beach
Beautiful English cottage with private parking. Very good English breakfast
Breakfast excellent Location excellent
Great location, nice staff, good breakfast
Hotel full of historical character and the garden was lovely. Breakfast was good as well .
Nothing
Location and breakfast
The ground floor including the room we stayed in was infested by clothes moths. Rooms and common areas are rather run-down.
Good location and had onsite parking.
Friendly host and staff. Good breakfast included. Walking distance to town and beach
Close to busy road . Being very hot needed window open so could hear cars going past during the night.
Location Breakfast
Very cosy, cute. Also in the severe heat was surprisingly cool (but that’s what happens in thatch cottages- excellent ventilation!) Also lovely breakfasts and people.
No very clean
Parking, the breakfast was freshly cooked
Are towels weren’t changed, also the teapot wasn’t emptied but we did have clean cups. They say pastries but their weren’t any
Solid family run guesthouse in great location on edge of Lyme. Great breakfast and comfortable rooms.
Very friendly, welcoming and comfortable
The decor is tired, but that did not detract from a lovely stay
Bed very comfortable, fresh flowers in the room, sea view, cooked breakfast was excellent, fresh fruit available and the staff are lovely. The garden is pretty and the area quiet. Very near Holmbush bus stop, in the same place as the car park.
It's up a short hill. That wasn't a problem for me because it's very near to the centre of Lyme Regis. Local buses are not particularly on time so ask for recommendations for a local cab service, just in case, if you have mobility issues.
Super gezellig traditioneel Engels hotel Zeer vriendelijk personeel Ontbijt was super
Excellent breakfast! Lovely staff. Location for us was perfect. It is a steep descent to and from the centre of Lyme Regis but still perfectly doable and you get to see some magnificent views of Lyme Regis both ways. Taxis are available and reasonable as it is not too far. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay again if we went back to the area. Our particular room was large and airy.
Location historical
For the price good value
The rooms were clean and bright with comfortable beds and lovely crisp bedding. The cooked breakfast was truly excellent, plus there was a good choice of fruit and cereal. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
There was nothing really that we disliked but there were just a few little details that could be improved upon. Our friends had no towels in their room upon arrival. Whilst tea & coffee making facilities were provided in the rooms there was no milk available and we had to borrow some from the care home opposite, however, this was rectified by the owner as quickly as possible. Pastries were listed on the breakfast menu, which my husband would always choose over a cooked breakfast, however, availability of pastries/croissants was very hit and miss. The owner advised an honesty bar would be left in the lounge each evening. Whilst this was the case on the first two evenings, on our third and last evening when we all wanted a drink before going out to dinner, there was no honesty bar.
Had a lovely room and a great breakfast
Friendly staff, comfy room, comfy bed. Perfect for getting into town.
Property was very clean and family run business were all welcoming and really generous kind and passionate. The house keeping in our room was prompt and efficient replenishment of supplies.
There was only one shared iron.
Great locations from which to start local walks in all directions. Quiet and peaceful. Good facilities for this price range. Sea view from my window.
Would have been nice to have space for a chair to sit in the room
Charming hotel with an older, quaint individual style. Great to have free parking. Delicious breakfast with excellent service. Lovely views from the bedroom of the beautiful garden. I was kindly given the choice of a larger room on arrival which was greatly appreciated.
I had a problem with the toilet flush in my bedroom and was disappointed with the response. A very minor suggestion is to have tissues in the bedrooms.
Great people and a wonderful breakfast.
Nothing
Lovely staff. Excellent breakfast
Beautiful house in a perfect location with parking, walking distance of the town. All the staff were charming and very welcoming.
Just that the room and shower were smaller than expected.
Lovely staff and lovely accommodation. Breakfast is absolutely amazing
Lovely staff. Comfy bed. Fabulous location. Exceptional breakfast.
Lovely, friendly, warm welcome. Lovely accommodation and a great breakfast. Would highly recommend.
Nothing.
Staff were great
Excellent location, amazing breakfast, nice communal areas, free parking
Bed a bit uncomfortable and room decor a bit tired.
Alex (the owner) and Margaret (his mother) were just delightful. Beautiful view from our room (which actually faced the backyard, but it was still gorgeous). Great location. Walkable. Alex suggested a moderately difficult hike to us that was one of the highlights of our entire trip. Fantastic homemade full English breakfast. And we loved Lyme Regis (Lyme Regis Brewery and Millside Restaurant (get the sole!) were two of our favorites).
The B&B could have been a bit updated, but it's very historic, so its simplicity lended to the experience.
Very friendly host, excellent breakfast, clean, tidy room
I absolutely loved the historic charm of this 18th-century building, along with the excellent breakfast and the warm hospitality of the owners. The location is ideal, as the beach and all the local amenities are just a short walk away
Beautiful cottage in a beautiful location. Staff were amazing, very good humour 👌 and the food was spot on. Would highly recommend. Definitely going back
Nothing, it was outstanding
There is not anything to fault with this accommodation. The hosts are very friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room was a good size, and the bed was very comfy! Finally, the breakfast was outstanding! If we're in Lyme Regis again we will definitely be staying here.
