Rooms are spacious especially family room is really comfortable.

Limited Parking Space and Elevator access is a big issue. Carrying suitcases to upstairs without help a bit annoying. Open Buffet Breakfast but no any cheese optipn.

At times items were missing for breakfast. However when they were there, it was good.

On certain days, it was a lacklustre experience. Staff were not on point, on other days staff were brilliant.

We really liked the location, close to Fistral beach. The pool, sauna and jacuzzi were absolutely worth to go on an early morning or late evening. Delicious breakfast and lovely breakfast/dinner area's interior decor.

The large ventilation/heating/air conditioning equipment on the roof was loud and noisy. Our room was on the top floor and at night, even with the windows closed, you can hear the noise.

Our stay was amazing, my 91 year young mum was well looked after & felt very comfortable, my 6 month puppy loved all the attention, fabulous location, room clean & comfortable, breakfast lovely, staff friendly & helpful, could have sat all day in the lounge wave watching🌊 would definitely stay again

The room did have a window but it was overlooking an internal well, this is something I feel should of been in the description (this should of been described as an internal room) this also made the room unbelievably hot, we stayed early September so not during the heatwave and the room was boiling, we did have a fan but it wasn’t any use. Also the location of the room wasn’t great as the hotel is like a maze. I did tell the girl on reception and she just apologised but didn’t offer a solution.

Parking is a minefield.

A friendly, efficient check-in from Jade on reception, the room was outstanding & the bed & pillows are possibly one of the best night sleep away ever! Maintenance & housekeeping again swift to help us with slight issue again efficiency in sorting. Facilities used & person on reception bringing a robe for the pool was a lovely touch! It's all the little touches here.The extra mile the team goes for the ikle folk is super special! & a real credit to you all. Bartender makes beautiful bespoke cocktails all in all a wonderful stay. If I had to be picky, it's the parking. It's a little stressful to find a spot on the road if the hotel parking spaces are booked out. But this shouldn't take away from what was an absolutely fantastic stay!

Everything about this Hotel is so lovely and very thoughtful. Fun area for kids to play, free washing and drying for guests. Irons are also available incase you need it. Staff are very polite and friendly.It’s really worth the money .

I overall enjoyed my stay here, but it could have been a better experience. The hotel is in an excellent location, with Fistral Beach literally just a stone’s throw away from the hotel. We spent 5 nights here and had booked a family room. I stayed with my wife and 2-year-old baby. The room was spacious and had good sea views. However, overall, I did not feel like I was getting a premium experience staying at this hotel. There were some minor cracks on the walls, which were not pleasant to see. The breakfast was good, with plenty of options, but the staff were cold. It felt like they were forced to do their job. On my first day, we were shown to our table, but we weren’t given an initial tour of the breakfast area. We were left to figure it out on our own. You have to reserve a time for breakfast. I came on time for the first four days, but on my last day, I was 30 minutes late as I had to pack my bags. The person receiving us told us, “You have to come on time, otherwise we could send you back.” I know it was my fault, but I also think this could have been handled better. They are short-staffed, and the staff seem to change daily. A person receiving us who had been there every day would have known that I had been coming on time for the last 4 days and probably would have avoided speaking to me in that tone, especially when almost half of the restaurant was empty and there were a few other guests behind me listening to the conversation. There were lots of amenities to enjoy. The kids’ soft play area was good, and my baby enjoyed it a lot. However, the swimming pool is too small, and it might feel busy at certain times even if there are only 8–10 people in it. The kids’ pool was dirty, with lots of sand in it. Their app says that we could borrow items from reception, such as pool nappies, but when I asked, they were not available. The room phone wasn’t working, and I had to complain to get it fixed.

The staff are helpful and soo friendly. The place is very child and pet friendly and inclusive. Sunny or rainy day you definitely have something to keep you occupied. The all access beach front is a plus. The food is amazing.

The Breakfast was good also the cleanliness of the breakfast area was spot on., The Sauna, hot tub and pool was ok but the overall look could do with a bit of improvement. the location and sea view was good.

The carpets in the passage could do with a bit of clean. The room and passage had a funky smell, I had to go back to tesco and buy disinfectant and air refresher to feel a little better. On the booking.com, it say parking was available but when i got there. there were no parking available. one of the staff gave me a key for one of the reserved parking but i had to pay £15 for just one night

Cocktail bar was closed Sunday eve and the bar area is quite big to be cosy!

The sea facing room was amazing. The swimming pool, hot jacuzzi, and changing rooms were excellent. Surfing and boarding material available for rent at very reasonable rates. Breakfast was excellent and was well managed in a busy time. Outdoor and indoor play area for kids, pool tables, indoor movie theatre, and activities and crafts for kids make this place ideal for family holiday. Location can't get any better. Lovely trails with amazing sights as well. Overall a lovely place for a family holiday.

Not much to write here except that the carpets could use some refurbishment or thorough clean. Limited parking and gets filled unless reserved in advance with a fee.

We loved the facilities and how child-friendly they were - swimming pool, jacuzzi was a treat, breakfast was great, great that our dog could stay with us, literally just cross the road to the beach

There was nowhere to park when we arrived. The hotel carpark is very small and lots of the spaces were somehow reserved. Struggled to park on the road outside too until the evening when all of the surfers had gone. It would have been good if there was some kind of tuck shop/vending machine we could buy snacks from as the nearest shop was a long walk and we didn't want to move the car when we had finally got a space on the road

Great location to Fistral Beach. The available activities within the hotel are great - Pool, games and use of beach items etc.

Although the bed was nice in size and clean. The location of the room looked out onto a green area that looked old and tatty. Also there was no air-con so room temperature was high, even with colder weather outside.

The view of the beach , the ambience and comfort of the hotel room and its amenities. The staff was also helpful and nice. Would definitely recommend it to people. An 9/10 trip for me!! Loved the little birthday surprise from the hotel as well!!!🤭

Great location, family friendly. All staff members made you feel welcomed. This hotel put a lot of effort in to making young guests feel special by providing robes in their size, bath soaps just for them, cookies and milk at bed time. All these little touches made my child feel included and special.

Location right on Fistral beach, value for money, good quality food and comprehensive menu. Live music in the cocktail bar, and the opportunity to use spa facilities at sister hotel

Parking was very restricted, but could park on road opposite the property.

On the beach front. Well furnished and clean throughout. Indoor pool with hot tub and sauna was a bonus. Lots of entertainment facilities. Lovely staff.

Not many parking spaces but spaces for free on the road, sometimes these were close and sometimes further away. Lots of noise from children. The soft play was attached to the restaurant and so children could be heard playing loudly/shrieking during meals and at times they were running through the restaurant. While I feel this was the responsibility of the parents, it seemed a design oversight for such a nice restaurant.

The security deposit is ridiculous. £50 a night on top of what we paid for our stay is unreasonable. We weren’t aware we had to pay this until we checked in. I then went back to my email and only made aware after we made the initial booking (was in the confirmation email right at the bottom) I think this really needs to be looked into and possibly scrapped. Heard lots of unhappy customers discussing this in the lobby during our stay. I feel for those who may be staying longer their security deposit must be much more and I’ve seen it only gets put back into your account 7 days after your stay!

Provisions for kids, dinner, reception, pool facilities etc. Staff were generally helpful and pleasant.

We only spent one night at Esplanade hotel but it was perfect. Fantastic location on the beach and shops/restaurants. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful whether it was giving us advice about local beaches or when I requested an extra fan at 11pm so the kind gentleman at reception just gave me his. Also allowed my kids to enjoy the facilities after we checked out. Breakfast was great, especially the pancakes and my kids loved the little play area. Sadly we didn’t get to enjoy any of the kids entertainment they had on like silent disco or movie night. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfy beds. Definitely recommend!!!!

Location and the room were excellent. Reception very helpful. Pool/spa area very nice.

Breakfast was ok, tables very sticky, staff wearing jeans, not a very professional look. Hot food, just not very hot. A better choice of bread, there was only very cheap sliced white and brown, some sourdough or seeded loaves would have been nice.

The hotel was in a great position to visit other parts of Cornwall the staff at the hotel were very helpful

We only had time to use the pool/sauna one morning before we had to leave, so we were there for 8am (open time) but the sauna wasnt turned on so it was cold which was annoying as we only had 30 odd mins before we had to get our taxi back to airport.

Loved the location of the property, it was right on the beach and the property was clean and modern with great facilities and friendly staff

This is a family property and the indoor pool/ hot tub area was very noisy and not at all relaxing. Additionally, breakfast gets very busy but it is next to a kids playroom which again was very noisy especially for early in the morning.

Die Distanz zur Stadt ist zu weit mit Kind. Der Tisch, Boden und Stuhl im Restaurant war leider nicht immer sauber. Dafür aber gut organisiert, dass nicht alle gleichzeitig zum Frühstück oder Abendessen kommen.

Fantastic for young families, the children's outdoor and indoor play areas were brilliant for our little one, it is also great that it has dog friendly rooms, so for a small family with a dog it was perfect! The room we had was clean and well equipped, the food provided at the restaurant was lovely, the location next to Fistral beach is stunning!

Lack of AC in the rooms meant it did get quite hot and stuffy, but there was a tower fan provided which did help massively, we were a ground floor room with patio doors leading out to the courtyard / children's play area so we didnt feel comfortable leaving the door open to let fresh air in that way.. whereas maybe some of the other rooms with windows might have got a nice sea breeze, but it wasn't the end of the world by any means, it gets hot in summer.. its to be expected.

The staff at the hotel was absolutely fantastic - Claudia specifically helped out promptly with how to to manoeuvre the shower head and temperature, gave really good advice on every question ranging from early breakfast, checkout, luggage keeping, access to common changing and shower facility after checkout, and also more trivial things as restaurants nearby. And in general every staff at the reception, bar and restaurant were just very helpful and kind. Breakfast, location being right at the beach front, common area for resting with great view, and room hygiene were all perfect! It is also worth mentioning it has a gate directly connected to a surfing school and surf shop which makes it easy to request for info and sign up for lesson on the spot without having to worry about transport, logistics etc as I didn’t come with a lot of planning ahead.

The only reason not able to give a full rating was that it wasn’t exactly easy to find my room as there is quite a lot of split turn before eventually reaching it, the shower was not the easiest to use, pool was too small.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful exactly what we expected with balcony and beautiful Seaview. We loved the Jacuzzi, sauna and swimming pool and the fact that there were lots of games on hand ie pool and air hockey. We also love the outside garden area.

Unfortunately, there is no sun on the balcony.

The location is fabulous, right in front of the beach . The hotel is lovely and the rooms are spacious. Staff are very friendly. The facilities are great! The hotel is dog friendly which we really appreciated. We had a wonderful time and would have lovely to have stayed longer.
