This is a very welcoming guest house with the host doing all she can to make your stay wonderful. From her garden picked fruit for an excellent breakfast, to the comfort of the room and its little extras or arranging tuktuk pickups, everything is done with care and for the guests to have an amazing stay. The guest house is well located about 5 minute tuktuk ride from Ella town with a lovely mountain view. I will always have very fond memories of my stay and of Nadee and her family's kindness.

Nadee is simply amazing! I have never had such a warm, welcoming, and caring host. She truly took care of everything: delicious breakfasts, TukTuk rides into town or to excursions, laundry, tours, and even our onward journey by bus. She was reachable at all times, making us feel completely looked after from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious! On top of that, the accommodation is super clean and offers a wonderful green view. I highly recommend staying here!

Nous avons passé un super séjour dans cette guest house à Ella ! La propriétaire est une dame adorable, très chaleureuse et d’une grande gentillesse. Nadee était vraiment aux petits soins avec nous et a tout fait pour que nous nous sentions bien. L’endroit est très agréable et parfaitement situé pour profiter d’Ella. Mention spéciale pour les petits-déjeuners, qui étaient délicieux et surtout plus que copieux ! Nous sommes également passés par Nadee pour réserver nos tuk-tuks, ce qui nous a permis d’avoir de très bons tarifs et de nous faciliter grandement l’organisation de nos déplacements. Une très belle rencontre pendant notre voyage au Sri Lanka. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour et nous ne pouvons que recommander cette guest house !

Nous avions une chambre avec vue sur Little Adam's Peek. Nadee est aux petits soins ! Nous n'avons jamais eu une chambre aussi bien équipée. Et le petit déjeuner énorme avec les roti fait maison et les fruits du jardin est absolument exceptionnel 🤩!

Todo, empezando por Nadee y su familia , la comida que prepara con tanto amor, la atención siempre pendiente de todo . Un alojamiento humilde pero con un encanto especial, sin duda el mejor que hemos estado en Sri lanka

We hebben echt van dit verblijf genoten, we werden met zoveel liefde ontvangen en alles was tot in de puntjes verzorgd! Het ontbijt was telkens subliem en geen enkele vraag was te veel. Als een van ons ziek was en we een nachtje langer wouden blijven was dit geen probleem. De familie stond telkens klaar om ons ergens naartoe te brengen met de tuktuk. Enorme aanrader!

Nadee is the most lovely host you could imagine. She contacts you before your stay, she would even organise a pick up from the train station. She welcomed us with coffee, sambol & roti, one night she cooked us dinner. The breakfast is very rich, with fruits, freshly juice and different food. The room is well equiped with fridge and kettle and a very comfortable bed.

Sometimes you can hear the trucks driving up and down the road, but it didn't bother us.

We really enjoyed our stay at this accommodation. The room was very comfortable and extremely clean. The bed was especially large and very comfortable, which made for a great night’s sleep. The views from the room were absolutely stunning and made the experience even more special. Nadee is a wonderful host who made us feel very welcome throughout our stay. The breakfasts were delicious and very generous in portion. We also really appreciated that they made a tuk-tuk available for our trips to Ella whenever we needed it, at a much more affordable price than usual, which was very convenient. We highly recommend this place 100%.

Exceptional hospitality: The hostess is incredibly kind and genuine. We felt truly welcomed with homemade egg roti, which was the best we've ever had! Divine food: The breakfast was outstanding—easily the best we experienced during our travels in Sri Lanka. If she starts a cooking class, don't miss it! Thoughtful details: The room was well-equipped with things you rarely find: 5L of water, tea, coffee, a kettle, and full bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, soap). Cleanliness & Comfort: The room was clean, the mosquito net was in perfect condition, and the towels were large and new. Even with only a fan, the temperature was very comfortable. Magical setting: A very peaceful and relaxing environment.

Room odor: The only downside was a strong, unpleasant smell in the room upon arrival. It cleared up after airing it out, but returned if the room stayed closed for the day. Wildlife: We encountered one large cockroach in the bathroom, but given the tropical location, it seemed like an isolated case. Despite the issue with the smell in the room, the warmth of the hosts and the extraordinary food made our stay unforgettable. It is a magical place where they really care about the details. We highly recommend it for anyone looking for an authentic and heart-warming experience!

Nadee est vraiment aux petits soins pour ses invités : toujours disponible et avec des petites attentions particulières. Elle et sa famille ont vraiment rendu notre séjour spécial. La nourriture est délicieuse, la chambre est spacieuse, propre et la vue du balcon est sublime. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Nadee was the absolute perfect host and we couldn't have asked for anything more. She proactively reached out before we came to Ella and made sure everything was sorted out. Her son Thihara was a massive help during the time, driving out to a prior station to pick up our suitcases so that we could enjoy the train ride to Ella. At their place Thihara was always available to drive us around, while Nadee made the most incredible food every day. The view from their place is spectacular and just outside Ella, allowing you to enjoy nature and get a short ride into Ella town centre. She also arranged transport for us to our next destination. They were always incredibly friendly, helpful and proactive. We were treated like family during our stay. I would absolutely recommend their place, as it's the perfect combination of great hosts, beautiful setting and value for money!

Everything was perfect

Tolles Frühstück. Viele Angebote vom Vermieter, z.B. Massage, Ausflüge etc. Lage mitten im Grünen. Auf der Terrasse wird ein tolles Frühstück serviert.

Der Weg zum Creek downhill geht über einen steilen, teilweise unbefestigten Pfad. Aber man bekommt sofort Hilfe.

Tout était parfait. L’emplacement à proximité mais un peu excentré du centre ville permet de profiter du calme et d’une très jolie vue sur les rizières en contre bas. La chambre est très belle et confortable. Nadee a été une hôte particulièrement chaleureuse et aux petits soins. Les petits déjeuners et dîners qu’elle prépare sont excellents et copieux, nous avons adoré. Bonus qui s’est avéré très pratique: Nadee et son fils possèdent un tuktuk! Il nous a accompagné lors de tous nos déplacements. Nous ne sommes restées que deux jours mais avons eu un petit pincement au cœur en partant. On recommande à 100%!

Een heerlijk verblijf met een prachtig uitzicht en de host is ontzettend gastvrij. De host laat het voelen alsof je thuis bent en denkt graag met je mee. Het verblijf is van alle gemakken voorzien en ideaal voor een paar dagen Ella. Zeker een aanrader!

Naar het centrum van Ella kan je alleen met de tuktuk of bus, lopend is net te ver. Maar de host kan heel goedkoop een tuktuk voor je regelen en reageert altijd heel snel

Die Betreiber waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Es liegt etwas außerhalb aber die Betreiber fahren einen zu einem angemessenen Preis ins Zentrum. Es ist aber sehr angenehm etwas außerhalb zu wohnen da es in Ella sehr laut ist.

L'endroit, au pied d'un torrent, le paysage de montagne, l'accueil chaleureux de la propriétaire et l'excellent petit déjeuner.

Peut être que la chambre soit isolée du reste de la maison et donc de ne pas participer davantage à la vie de la maison. Et la proximité de la route assez passante Mais vraiment sinon rien de vraiment négatif.

Tanto la dueña como su hijo fueron súper amables y serviciales. Poder desayunar con esas vistas es un lujo. Nos preparó incluso una comida de bienvenida. Sin duda, uno de los mejores hostales donde nos alojamos durante nuestro viaje a Sri Lanka

Está un poco lejos del centro por lo que dependes de tuk tuk con sus precios fijados, aunque su hijo se ofrece a llevarte

Auf dem Balkon hat man eine schöne Aussicht in die Natur. Die Gastgeberin war sehr freundlich bei unserer Ankunft haben wir etwas zu Essen und Trinken bekommen. Sie hat uns auch bei unserer Weiterreise nach Tangalle geholfen. Das Frühstück ist wirklich sehr gut. Und der Zimmer schön eingerichtet.

Nachts könnte es bisschen laut sein weil die Unterkunft direkt an einer großen Straße liegt. Das hat uns beiden aber nicht gestört. Bis zum Zentrum sind es ca. 1,7 km wobei es ziemlich steil hoch geht.

Erittäin mukava henkilökunta otti meidät ystävällisesti vastaan. Huoneessa oli kaikki täydellisesti. Ensiapu laukkukin kuuluu huoneen varustukseen. Huoneessa on kiva terassi ja aamiainen tarjoiltiin sinne. Terassilta upeat näkymät. Aamiainen on perus Sri Lankalainen aamiainen, jota on kaikissa muissakin paikoissa yleisesti. Majapaikka on sopivasti kaupungin keskustan ulkopuolella. Korvatulpat kannattaa olla jos olet herkkä äänille, koska se on vilkkaan kadun varrella, Henkilökunta vastasi nopeasti kaikkiin kysymyksiin ja oli äärimmäisen ystävällistä.

We absolutely loved our stay here in Ella. The room was really well equipped and was so comfortable. Nadee and her family made us feel so welcome and even prepared us some food after a long day of travelling.

Everything was perfect

Sehr empfehlenswert für alle, die mit eigenem TukTuk unterwegs sind. Etwas außerhalb von dem wuseligen Ella gelegen mit guter Parkmöglichkeit direkt vor der Tür. Die Zimmer sind sehr gute ausgestattet (kein AC, dafür aber ein Ventilator, was in den Bergen vollkommen ausreicht). Die Gastgeberin hat uns bestens umsorgt. Jeden Morgen haben wir auf unserem Balkon mit Blick ins Grüne ein sehr leckeres und umfangreiches Frühstück bekommen (sogar mit frischem Saft).

Nadee was the loveliest host! She made us delicious food, and even some breakfast for the go, as we had a very early wake up. The room had everything necessary, and the bed was super comfortable. And the views from the balcony, wow😍

Het personeel is heel vriendelijk. Ze willen je overal naartoe brengen, maken ontbijt to go voor je als je vroeg vertrekt en komen af en toe zomaar vragen of je zin hebt in thee/koffie. Het ontbijt is goed verzorgd en de accommodatie is heel schoon. Je het prachtig uitzicht vanaf het balkon.

De douche is koud. Hoewel dat vaker voorkomt in Ella is het wel goed om te weten! Ook zit een kamer wat dicht tegen de hoofdweg waardoor je wel wat meekrijgt van de verkeersdrukte. Er zijn daarom oordoppen beschikbaar.

The host, Nadee did great in makin sure that our stay at Creek Downhills was a comfortable and memorable one. She was always willing to help with any requests we made. She even helped us to secure bus tickets to reach Colombo after our stay! In fact that saved us about 25,000 SLR - since we had originally planned to book a taxi that would have cost us a lot more. She prepared sumptuous breakfast with fresh fruits and juices. The views from the room was very soothing. There was a stream flowing nearby and it was wonderful!! We loved our stay here and would love to come back again!!

De guesthouse eigenaar was super vriendelijk. Ze appte al voor aankomst en wilde ons verblijf zo fijn mogelijk maken. Ook maakte ze eten voor ons terwijl we hier niet om hadden gevraagd (maar wel zin in hadden!).

Nadee und ihre Familie machen den Besuch bei Ihnen wirklich zu einem besonderen Erlebnis. Nadee ist sehr herzlich und fürsorglich, rund um die Uhr mit Tips und Hilfe verfügbar. Ebenso ihr Sohn und ihr Mann helfen bei jeden Transport mit prompter Tuk Tuk fahrt aus.

Wenn Sie eine Chance auf das Deluxe Doppelzimmer haben würde ich dieses unbedingt buchen, da die Aussicht bestimmt noch schöner ist als im normalen Doppelzimmer und es liegt nicht unmittelbar neben der Strasse. Aber sitzen auf der Terasse mit Blick ins tropische Grün und dabei Nadees tolle Frühstück geniessen macht in beiden Zimmern auf jeden Fall Lust auf ein Wiederkommen!

Cet hébergement est la meilleure guesthouse que nous avons fait au cours de notre voyage. La chambre est confortable et très bien équipée (mouchoirs, savon, trousse à pharmacie...), on se sent comme chez soi. Même si c'est à côté de la route, on n'entend pas le bruit de la rue car c'est bien insonorisé et des bouchons d’oreilles sont également disponible pour les personnes plus sensibles au bruit. La vue sur les rizières est magnifique. La propriétaire des lieux est accueillante, bienveillante et s’assure du bien être de ses clients, et c’est également une cuisinière très talentueuse. Le petit déjeuner est délicieux et copieux. J'ai adoré cet établissement sur tout les points et je recommande aux personnes séjournant à Ella de réserver !

Creek downhills was a wonderful homestay located just outside the center of Ella. Nadee was a wonderful host, easily contactable and catering to our every need. The room was packed with absolutely everything we could have needed and was very clean and comfortable. It was topped off with wonderful views from the balcony. We were given a delicious breakfast and Nadee organised very reasonable transport around the city.

The property is located just off quite a busy road which initially we were a little worried about but actually we had the best night sleep and weren’t bothered by it at all.

The most sweetest host ever!!! She made sure we (two younger girls) were safe and texted us when she had not seen us all day if everything was right. When we were almost out of petrol with our own tuktuk, her son brought us to the fillingstation. Her son also drove us in the dark in our own tuktuk. The breakfast is unreal, every day the hostess makes something different, but always very tasteful. And the views are reaaaally ameezing from the balcony. We 10/10 would recommend it! 😍

Can’t describe in words how sweet the host is, helpful in every possible way! Her husband is always happy to take you to Ella centre with their tuk tuk, which is super convenient. Breakfast is amazing, with fresh products straight from her own garden. On my first evening I arrived a bit late, and without me even asking she prepared a really tasty dinner. I’d absolutely recommend this place!

We had a wonderful stay at Creek Downhill in Ella. This was by far the cleanest accommodation we experienced during our entire trip through Asia. The host was incredibly warm and welcoming, always making sure that everything was taken care of. On top of that, she is an amazing cook – the food was absolutely delicious. We truly felt at home here and would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Ella.

Mitunter eine der schönsten Unterkünfte, in der wir waren! Sie liegt zwar an einer großen Straße nach Ella, aber mit wunderschönem Ausblick ins Grüne und an den Little Adams Peak. Ein kleines Paradies! Wir haben es auf der Terrasse für ein Päuschen zwischendurch sehr genossen und unsere Gastgeberin war sehr herzlich und hat uns auch immer das leckerste, natürlich sehr üppige, Frühstück gezaubert. Bei allen Anliegen hat sie uns geholfen (zB. Transport/Scooter organisieren/Gepäck aufbewahren). Kann es nur weiterempfehlen.

Hele fijne accommodatie. De host doet alles voor je! Iedere ochtend kregen we heerlijk ontbijt, we werden met onze eigen tuktuk door de host ‘s avonds naar het centrum gebracht en weer opgehaald en ze helpen je waar nodig. Wifi werkt ook heel goed en de kamer heeft prachtig uitzicht.

De kamers liggen naast een hele drukke weg. In de kamer hoor je er zowat niets van, maar bij het ontbijt zit je wel in de herrie.

Our corner room had a breathtaking view, and the owner took such wonderful care of us. She went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after, arranged delicious extra treats, and even helped us find fair tuk-tuk drivers so we never overpaid. Truly exceptional hospitality!

Wat een vriendelijke familie is dit! De gastvrouw zorgt ervoor dat je niks tekort komt. Meer dan uitgebreid ontbijt en afwisselend. Als je zelf geen TukTuk hebt dan is 1 berichtje genoeg en dan is haar man of zoon er supersnel. Perfecte uitvalsbasis buiten het drukke centrum.

We hadden wat last van fruitvliegjes, maar voor de rest echt niks negatiefs op te noemen!

De host is zo mega lief en maakt echt heerlijke dingen voor je. Het uitzicht is prachtig en de kamers zijn net en schoon. Het is echt een leuke ervaring om tijdens je reis in een homestay te slapen. Het verblijf ligt op een paar minuten rijden van downtown maar met de snelle tuktuk service van haar man ben je er zo.

Geen airco maar met de deuren en gordijnen open en een ventilator is dat geen probleem het koelt ‘s nachts voldoende af.

Wouldn't recommend It for working. Location is 10 minutes from town but the owners own a tuk tuk and will bring you there and back for cheap

I highly recommend this place! The biggest highlight is the wonderful host. The breakfast is delicious and filling – enough energy to climb all the mountains! The rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, and the view from the balcony is absolutely stunning.

One of the best stays we had in Sri Lanka. The lady owner is the sweetest and the BEST chef! Every morning we got spoiled with a big breakfast with fruits from her own garden and we also tried Kottu for dinner, which was the best we had. She is also very helpful and makes sure you feel right at home

From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the high standards of cleanliness. The food was also fantastic—delicious and well-prepared. It's a credit to the one lady who runs the entire hotel. She manages everything seamlessly, from maintaining the spotless rooms to cooking wonderful meals and providing top-notch hospitality. Her dedication and excellent service are what define this place

This is the most welcoming host we have had. She arranged everthing we wanted. She and the rest of the family are so helpful! The breakfast is amazing. It is nice room with a good view. We enjoyed our stay so much

The hostess was excellent. Other than the delicious breakfast we were also treated with snacks, which was very nice of her. The room was spacious and clean and the view from the balcony was beautiful. If I were coming back to Ella I would stay here again.

As other people mentioned the accommodation is a bit further from Ella but we hired a scooter and it wasn’t an issue for us. The road is just behind the rooms but it wasn’t really a bother.

Zusammengefasst: die beste Unterkunft unserer bisherigen Reise auf Sri Lanka. Zimmer: groß, sehr sauber, gemütliches sehr großes Bett, Moskitonetz, warmes Wasser, genug Handtücher, Minibar mit Keksen und Wasser/Softdrinks, eigene Terasse mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick auf die Berge und ins Grüne. Gastgeber: unglaublich zuvorkommend, hilfsbereit, liebenswert, aufmerksam. Sehr gutes englisch😊 Uns wurde immer angeboten, uns nach Ella zu fahren/abzuholen. Damit wurde es uns sehr leicht gemacht, spontan von A nach B zu kommen. Das Frühstück war ein Traum. Immer verschiedenstes leckeres Obst, frische Säfte, Roti, Omelette, Curry. Ebenso wurde für uns einen Abend gekocht, immer zu 100 % köstlich. Dazu hat die Gastgeberin uns bei unseren Wanderungen mit nützlichen Utensilien ausgestattet (z.B. Regenschirm) und sich zwischendurch versichert, dass es uns gut geht. Zudem hat sie angeboten, unsere Wäsche zu waschen. Wir fühlten uns wie zuhause. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit, haben die Gastgeber definitiv in unser Herz geschlossen und können diese Unterkunft wärmstens empfehlen. Danke❤️ Lage: etwas außerhalb von Ella (bergab) mit einer tollen Aussicht. Zu Fuß ca. 20-30 Minuten entlang der Straße, oder 5 Minuten mit dem Tuktuk. Generell lohnen sich in Ella die Wanderungen auf den Ella Rock und dem Little Adams Peak.

De host is ontzettend zorgzaam en lief. Ze zorgt enorm goed voor haar gasten en is makkelijk en snel bereikbaar. Het uitzicht vanaf het balkon is adembenemend. Je kijkt uit op de mooie jungle van Ella. Echt een plaatje om zo wakker te worden. Het ontbijt was erg uitgebreid en ontzettend lekker. Enorm goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding en ik raad deze locatie zeker aan.

Het ligt wat ver van het centrum van Ella , dus je hebt wel een tuktuk nodig

Die freundlichsten Gastgeber überhaupt - Service und Frühstück top, wir wurden rundum verwöhnt. Eine sehr gemütliche Unterkunft in den Hügeln Ellas. Sehr geräumiges, sauberes Zimmer mit wunderschönem Ausblick. Wir würden gerne immer wieder kommen.

Nuestra experiencia en este alojamiento fue excelente, sobre todo gracias a la mujer que lo gestiona. Desde el primer momento estuvo muy atenta a nosotros, ayudándonos con todo lo que necesitábamos: organizó los tuk-tuks, nos orientó para ir a Yala, nos dio ideas para planes..en definitiva, súper cercana y amable, y sin duda hizo que nuestra estancia en Ella fuera mucho más fácil. Nada más llegar nos recibió con una merienda casera y por la mañana nos preparó un desayuno riquísimo mientras disfrutábamos de las buenas vistas que tiene. Además, la habitación contaba con muchos detalles que se agradecen: secador, champú, cepillos de dientes, galletas, Ginger Beer… ¡no faltaba nada! Por fuera el alojamiento puede parecer sencillo, pero por dentro está bien cuidado y ofrece todo lo necesario.

Nada porque aunque el alojamiento esté al lado de la carretera, el ruido no afecta nada para dormir. Totalmente recomendable!!

This guests house is simple but clean and well kept. The host Nadee is a lovely woman and she is there to assist you with everything you might need. Her breakfasts are just amazing - the best we had. And the views of this place are wonderful!

A downside is that is just on the road, but if it is not too busy you don’t get bothered much; also is not really walking distance from the city center, you need tuk tuk.

La vue de la chambre est très belle, le lit confortable et très grand. L’ensemble très propre et confortable. De plus, notre hôte était la personne la plus attentionné et gentille que nous aurions pu avoir. Ce fut vraiment un plaisir de loger chez elle, tant pour sa gentillesse que pour le logement qui était parfait.

Het mooiste uitzicht dat je je kunt voorstellen met geluid van de rivier en een enorm gevoel van ruimte. En dan Nadi, de gestvrouw… zo lief en leuk met iedere ochtend een fantastisch ontbijt ❤️🙏

Nadi en haar familieleden zijn ontzettend aardig en behulpzaam. Haar kookkunsten zijn fantastisch, zowel het ontbijt als het diner waren heerlijk. Met de tuktuk kan je naar alle bezienswaardigheden worden gebracht. Daarnaast was de ophaalservice van het station heel fijn. Het verblijf heeft een goed bed en een balkon met prachtig uitzicht op little adam’s peak.

De douche had meer waterdruk mogen hebben.

The most amazing hosts! They took great care of us and were extremely helpful. For example, we once got stuck in the Monsun, they managed to pick us up and welcomed us back with tea and snacks. The room was very clean and the breakfast the most generous.

The hotel is located right on the street, therefore it can be quiet loud sometimes, but it was still ok and didnt interrupt our sleep.

Nadi en haar familie waren zo ontzettend gastvrij. We werden overal naartoe gebracht en Nadi zorgde ervoor dat we niks tekort kwamen. Het ontbijt is erg uitgebreid en elke dag weer anders. Ze kan ontzettend goed koken en ze verraste ons elke keer weer. Bovendien lette ze ook goed op ons (twee jonge vrouwen) en als we lang weg waren vroeg ze of we oké waren. Dat voelde heel geborgen!

Très bonnes prestations,joli cadre dans la jungle au-dessus d’une rivière. Le petit déjeuner était exceptionnel.

Prachtige locatie. Ruime kamer en fijne badkamer. De meneer bracht ons met een tuktuk overal naar toe en de mevrouw was goed bereikbaar en heeft heerlijk voor ons gekookt!

Veel insecten, dus het was heel fijn dat we een klamboe hadden.

Dit waren de meest gastvrije mensen die ik tegen ben gekomen in Sri Lanka. Elke dag heerlijk ontbijt, ze heeft zelfs 1x gratis voor ons avondeten gemaakt wat oprecht heel lekker was!!! Het hotel is ongeveer 30 minuten lopen van Ella, maar er is een tuktuk service bij het hotel waardoor je heel snel in het centrum bent. De kamer is comfortabel, het bed ligt lekker en de badkamer is prima. Zou hier zeker weer naar terug gaan als ik de kans zou hebben!

The room was very clean and tidy, we loved the over head shower. The property has an absolutely stunning view of the mountains. The host family were so accommodating, they put on a feast for dinner when we arrived and served large morning breakfasts that we could never finish. They even prepared day packs for us when we went on a safari day tour and for when we left for the airport which was really special.

Just be prepared to hire a scooter/car or make sure tuk tuk trips to Ella are in your budget as its a steep and slightly dangerous walk up the hill to ella.

The food, the room and especially the kindness and hospitality of the host... All of that made our stay memorable and amazing. I highly recommend!!

Great atmosphere, great bed but above all great attention and help from the lovely family. The food is delicious and the entire family helped us to catch the bus we needed!

The only thing we didn’t like was leaving

The location—and especially the view—is stunning. The owner is an incredible lady: so friendly, so helpful. I was bitten by a leech, and she took such great care of me, even bandaging the wound herself. The breakfast was full of delicious goodies and easily the best we had in Sri Lanka. I don’t have enough words to describe the amazing food and the warmth of the host. The room was clean and located on the main street. You might hear some noise at night, but nothing that disturbs your sleep. It’s a bit far from the city center, but that’s not an issue—tuk-tuks are easy to get and very affordable. The bed was big and comfortable, and the view from the room was breathtaking. Overall, it was such a beautiful experience. I truly recommend this place. Communication was easy, and it was actually the most well-equipped room we had: fridge, free water, toothbrushes, even sanitary pads for ladies. The host was so thoughtful—when we left, she gave us snacks for the road. Big thank you!

Prachtige locatie en de familie is super lief, warm en gastvrij. De eigenaresse is heel verzorgend en een ontzettend goede kok. We hebben genoten.

If you are looking for a local experience in Ella this is the perfect place to stay. What impressed us the most is the hospitality of the family. We stayed for 1 night and it was pouring rain, so as we couldn't go to a restaurant the family prepared us dinner and made us feel like at home. The breakfast the next day was fantastic too. Thank you, we will surely come back!

Honestly the best stay we had in our travels. The family hosting this please is so warm and wonderful, the girls were so sweet and welcoming. The mother is an amazing chef and warm person, the brother has the kindest heart too and helped us in practical ways when our tuc tuc didn't work well which he really didn't have to do. You can notice they go out of their way to make sure you feel taken care off. The food we had (dinner and breakfast) was incredibly tasty, the room very clean, close to Ella city centre and a beautiful view. We would 100% recommend staying here.

Sehr liebenswerte Familie. Das Frühstück war richtig lecker. An einem Abend wurde für uns sehr lecker zum Abendessen Rice&Curry gekocht. Wir haben mit dem Sohn mit dem TukTuk einen Ausflug zu den Diyaluma Falls zu einem sehr fairen Preis gemacht. Die Unterkunft liegt nicht direkt im Zentrum von Ella, der Sohn oder der Vater fahren einen aber mit dem TukTuk zu sehr fairen Preisen in die Stadt.

Die Unterkunft ist etwas abseits (ca. 5min) von Ella gelegen, weshalb man Ruhe von dem Trubel in der Stadt hat. Sie liegt zwar an der Hauptstraße, da die Zimmer aber großteils entgegengesetzt ausgerichtet sind, ist das nicht störend. Das Frühstück war einfach traumhaft. Frische Früchte, Burger, Curry usw. Wir konnten es nie aufessen, da es viel zu viel war. Die Besitzerin bzw ihre ganze Familie ist extrem nett und zuvorkommend. sie haben uns Tipps für Unternehmen gegeben, Tuktuks organisiert usw. Im Zimmer steht ein kleiner Kühlschrank, in dem man seine Getränke usw kühlen kann. Es ist zwar keine Klimaanlage vorhanden, was aber nicht gestört hat, da wir immer mit offenen Türen schlafen konnten (Moskitonetze über dem Bett sind vorhanden). Die Aussicht raus aus dem Tal ist einfach genial. Wir konnten den Reisbauern bei der Arbeit zusehen, Affen beobachten usw.

Das Zimmer ist etwas klein, weshalb es keine Schränke zum Aufbewahren der Kleidung gibt. Auch das Badezimmer ist eher eng geschnitten. (Keine separate Duschkabine bzw. -bereich. Zudem riecht es nach tagsüber durchgehend geschlossenen Türen/Fenstern am Abend doch etwas muffig.

Небольшой гестхауз на 2 комнаты. У нас был номер делюкс с балконом, видом на горную реку, джунгли и рисовые поля. Внешне со стороны дороги дом выглядит очень скромно, но стоит открыть дверь, как вы попадёте в настоящие джунгли. Вас может отвлечь только дорога, но нам это не мешало. Отдельно нужно сказать о хозяйке Нади и её семье. Гостеприимство с первого вашего шага. Забота и уют, чистота и очень-очень вкусно! Завтраки потрясающие. Мы заказали один раз ужин - великолепно и Нади не хотела брать за него деньги) Рекомендуем безусловно останавливаться здесь! Нам не нужен был центр Элла, бары и рестораны, нам было комфортно жить в этом прекрасном месте. Но если Вам нужно в любую точку Эллы, Вам предоставят тук-тук без проблем, мы так же пользовались этим сервисом.

We had a wonderful time with such a lovely family! Warm welcoming and always with lovely attentions: fruit juices, tea, advices, tuktuk drives Also the food is amazing! 4 breakfasts and all were different and so good : hoppers, crepes, juices, fruits, burgers, Dahl, Rotti, noodles, toasts and more! The view is also amazing, we saw so many birds! After one week in Sri Lanka this is definetly the best guest house we have had so far. It is a bit far (walking) from the center but this is really not a problem. We highly recommend you to stay there We will miss it for sure

Het was schoon. Niet al te groot. Buiten gedeelte prima alleen met de regen die wij hadden konden we niet buiten eten. Tafel naar binnen en eten op bed. Uitgebreid ontbijt! Zeer vriendelijk tot alles bereid.

Prijs wel wat te hoog in vergelijking met andere hotels/homestays die we gehad hebben in Srilanka. €96 voor 2 nachten. Je zit aan een drukke snelweg!

Grande chambre propre et confortable avec une terrasse vue sur la vallée. On peut y voir Little Adam's Peak et on entend le son de la rivière. Les repas étaient copieux et excellents, servi par toute la famille : adorable ! Ils étaient très bienveillants et m'ont accompagné avec leur tuk-tuk jusqu'au Nine Arch Bridge. L'arrêt de bus pour Ella (3 km) est à 25 m à pied, le ticket est à quelques centimes d'euros. Je recommande vivement l'endroit : c'était parfait ! Large, clean and comfortable room with a terrace overlooking the valley. You can see Little Adam's Peak and hear the sound of the river. The meals were plentiful and excellent, served by the whole family: adorable! They were very kind and accompanied me with their tuk-tuk to the Nine Arch Bridge. The bus stop for Ella (3 km) is a 25 m walk away, the ticket is a few cents. I highly recommend the place: it was perfect!

We had a wonderful stay at Creek Downhills. The owner is the sweestest person we have met in sri lanka. She will take care of everything and is a great cook.

Really lovely welcoming family-run place. Amazing views from the balconies. Breakfast was delicious and enormous! The hotel Tuktuk service was great, cheaper than local Tuktuks, and very easy to book via the hotel's WhatsApp. Tea, coffee and even sodas provided in the room.

Super freundliche Gastgeber. Sie haben uns direkt nach unserer Ankunft abgeholt. Das Frühstück war extrem Lecker. Haben die Zeit sehr genossen. Zudem waren sie jederzeit für uns erreich- und verfügbar.

Wir hatten einige Kakerlaken bei uns im Zimmer. Muss man aber in Sri Lanka damit rechnen - halb so wild.

The property was clean and very welcoming. Thank you to the owners and team for their lovely welcome. The bed was very comfortable. It was downhill from Ella (just a short tuc tuc ride that the owner can arrange) so was away from the bustle of the town.

It is on the main road into Ella but this did not bother us too much.

Il n’y aurait pas assez de mots pour décrire la qualité de notre séjour à Creek Downhills. Tout d’abord, l’accueil a été parfait : après une longue route, nous avons été accueilli avec un énorme goûter et des jus de citron verts. La chambre est sur-équipée, il y a tout le nécessaire de toilette, également une bouilloire avec plein de café, des gâteaux, le frigo est rempli de boissons et de yaourts. Le lit est gigantesque, super confortable, avec moustiquaire et une vue magnifique sur la jungle environnante. Le balcon est tellement agréable avec vue sur les rizières et la jungle, pour manger le petit-déjeuner on ne peut pas rêver mieux. Le seul et unique point négatif du séjour était la proximité avec la route (quelques Klaxons le soir et le matin mais totalement occulté par le reste du séjour). Nous avons dîné le Rice and curry le soir de notre arrivée qui était divin, avec un jus frais à tomber. Sans parler des petits-déjeuners qui nous ont permis d’emporter de quoi manger le midi tellement ils étaient généreux et absolument délicieux ! Egg hopper, dahl, rôti banane, jus d’avocat, saladier de fruits frais, pancakes, sandwich aux œufs … c’était incroyable. En plus de tout ça, Nadee nous a préparé des sacs de provisions pour notre randonnée et pour notre départ avec des fruits, gâteaux, boissons … Enfin, nous avons utilisé le tuk-tuk du monsieur pour nous déplacer et nous avons eu de nombreux bons conseils pour nos randonnées et l’organisation de nos journées. Nous sommes allés prendre un cours de cuisine chez la sœur de Nadee. Nous avons même pu faire notre lessive qui a été lavée, séchée et pliée, c’était trop de gentillesse ! Nous sommes partis à contre-cœur car nous aurions pu rester ici encore de nombreux jours tellement on s’y sentait bien. N’hésitez pas une seconde, si vous devez loger à Ella, venez ici vous ne serez pas déçus !! Adrien et Léa.
