The food had too many courses - but it isn’t always a bad thing

Великолепный отель! Настоящее погружение в Японию! Все очень аккуратно, чисто! Потрясающе красивый сад, в котором обязательно стоит прогуляться. Жили в традиционном номере. Очень понравилось спать на татами! Довольны отелем и сервисом. С удовольствием приедем сюда еще.

The room is very good, but the yard is absolutely gorgeous. I don't think I've ever seen such a beautiful garden. The Onsen is very nice too, perfect for relaxing.

I think we should have gotten at least a free breakfast for this price. The hot water took around 3-4 minutes to arrive in the shower. At first I thought we didn't have hot water.

Hotel de luxe (plutôt que ryokan traditionnel), avec chambres confortables (la nôtre était équipée d un bain alimenté en eau chaude naturelle, recréant un onsen), jardin magnifique, et surtout savoureux repas kaiseki au restaurant de l hotel. Personnel aimable, serviable et parlant anglais. Merci beaucoup !

No entiendo que si el checkin es a las 15:00h y el checkout es a las 10:00h., cierren el onsen/spa a las 9:00h. por mantenimiento, ¿No pueden esperar a hacer el mantenimiento hasta las 10:00h. que es cuando se va la gente? Habia anunciado karaoke por la noche, pero al ir, era una especie de fiesta privada y estaba "closed" segun el letrero de la puerta. Por último, para las opciones de pensión completa, agradeceria que la minuta del menú, tambien estuviera es inglés. Para el precio que tiene, le falta pulir ciertos detalles

Le jardin est particulierement exceptionnel et le personnel très agréable

La cuisine du kaiseki peut largement être améliorée et le fait fait que le night loundge ne soit pas ouvert aux heures indiquées normalement open 19h30 mais lors de mon séjour seulement à 21h30 car ils avaient des problemes de staff

The onsen and facilities were very clean. The garden inside the ryokan was very beautiful, well manicured and beautifully maintained with a little pond and koi fish. The food quality and presentation was excellent!

The property and gardens are beautiful. The staff was incredibly nice and attentive. The pool area was very relaxing and clean. We booked the massage, and it was great. The room was super cool and spacious.

Everything was perfect. Nothing that I could say that I did not like. I wish we could have stayed longer at the property, but we had to continue our trip.

Los jardines y el Onsen lo mejor del alojamiento así como la amabilidad del personal. Los futones muy cómodos aunque si repitiera no contrataría la media pensión. El menú degustación tradicional para los niños fue un poco complicado. El resto fantástico!

Es un sitio increíble, con baños típicos japoneses de manantiales, cenas de restaurantes Michelin , atención personalizada y habitaciones clásicas japonesas con todas las comodidades y amplias. El jardín zen es también a destacar. Hemos disfrutado y conocido tradiciones únicas.

Purtroppo sono abituato alle strutture di 5 stelle in Cina. In Giappone le 5 stelle non corrispondono alle 5 stelle ma 4. La spa è la piscina bella.

Bon hôtel. La chambre (communicante de style japonais) était spacieuse. Le personnel est très disponible et à l'écoute, comme souvent au japon. La piscine est très grande.

. Notre chambre donnait sur une sorte de parking et un bâtiment annexe de l'hôtel (nous n'avions pas demandé une chambre avec vue sur le jardin). Pour 500 euros la nuit, on aurait pu s'attendre à mieux. Toujours est il que cela n'a pas impacté la qualité de notre séjour (dans les chambres de style japonais, pour préserver l'ambiance japonaise de la chambre, il vaut mieux laisser fermer les panneaux coulissants (shojis) placés devant les fenêtres). . J'ai trouvé que les shampooings et savons à disposition dans le onsen intérieur étaient d'une qualité insuffisante.

Faltan toallas. No se pueden usar las mismas toallas para la piscina, ryokan y habitación. Están mojadas de uno al otro. Tendría que haber toallas en la habitación, coger luego en el ryokan otras y otras si vas a la piscina

Great location, close to the station, beautiful back garden, clean onsen with indoor and outdoor options, big comfy room, kaiseki meals were good (ALOT in quantity, i was so full). I can understand why some previous comments said not everyone will enjoy it. I enjoyed the food at breakfast and dinner but it is not for everyone

Multiple issues: 1) there were TWO cockroaches in my room. 2) no hand towels. Only one towel for shower and one small towel for onsen. you need to call reception to get extra towels. 3) the safe in my room was broken 4) i was a solo traveller so i was allocated a table at the back of the dining room in the corner for all my meals even though there were other vacant tables. The service was average but they did not offer to bring me any water or to refill my water unless i asked

Le personnel qui reflète bien le luxe à la japonaise : respect, service, disponibilité... La chambre avec le onsen privatif est exceptionnelle et donne une vraie expérience traditionnelle japonaise. Le dîner gastronomique est plein de découvertes de mets et d'ingrédients locaux et typiques. Je recommande fortement d'essayer. Nous n'avons pas utilisé tous les services de l'hôtel (petit déjeuner, bains publics...) mais l'expérience était déjà incroyable.

Great onsen and a beautiful garden

The dinner and breakfast were interesting and very Japanese but it would be lovely to have some wider choice of food especially for breakfast. For one night it was an interesting experience but should we stayed longer it would be quite challenging with the kids because they barely ate anything.

Both dinner and breakfast were excellent. As was the hot spa, we buoyed our stay

The bar was closed during our stay. This wasn’t mentioned until we came down for a pre-dinner drink, we were offered to drink cans in the lobby - not really the same

Very beautiful and serene

Would recommend caution if you have allergies or asthma. The place is old but more than that room is quite dusty, walls had possible mildew. Also if you are a picky eater opt out of the dinner.

Stanza molto bella, anche se non proprio caratteristico che il ryokan sia “ricostruito” all’interno di un appartamento. Giardino splendido.

Onsen maschile all’interno di una serra senza sbocco all’esterno. Quello femminile un po’ più curato e con parte in giardino. Per il prezzo pagato mi aspettavo un po’ di più. Cena curata ma un po’ sbrigativa.

Not only the onsen but also the pool can only be accessed naked

The staff were super helpful from check‑in to check‑out, always ready to assist and give clear directions around the property. The facilities were amazing: a beautiful Japanese garden, a swimming pool, and a lovely onsen that made the stay feel very relaxing. The cool‑down room with space to work or read, plus free drinks, was a thoughtful touch and a real plus after a day of sightseeing. Our room was spacious and tastefully decorated in a Japanese style, with enough space for our family to move around comfortably. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk from the center of Hakone and very convenient for exploring the area.

The hotel is large and spread across several buildings, and we did get lost in the corridors a few times. Signage could be improved to make it easier to find your way between the lobby, rooms, onsen, and dining areas. The traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast could be improved. I had read beforehand that they were unconventional, which I didn’t mind, but many dishes felt as if they had been prepared in advance and simply assembled in the kitchen. It gave the impression that no one was actively cooking to order, and the meals felt quite impersonal and didn’t quite “catch the soul” the way a great ryokan meal can. For the level of service and food, the property is expensive for what you get.

Le choix dans le repas et le petit déjeuner ne nous a pas été présenté, alors qu’il existait 2 salles différentes avec des prestations distinctes.

Beautiful garden, located close to train station

For the price paid, there was little value to staying here. On top of the expensive room, they wanted even more money to reserve the private onsen. In the middle of the night the head unexpectedly came on (in July) and it was impossible to cool the room. The hallways and elevators were also unbearably hot in the morning, seems they had a problem with the heating system. Again for the price paid, this is unacceptable to suffer this discomfort. Stayed the next night in a ryokan in Ohiradai for 1/3 the price with free private onsens, free breakfast, and a much more authentic feel. Yoshiike felt like a money grab and a place for rich tourists to feel like they’re staying in an authentic ryokan when the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. Men’s outdoor onsen had no privacy at all to get undressed. A small curtain was all that blocked the view of women and children going to the swimming pool to seeing me naked, and it was easy to see past the curtain due to its small size and openings at the sides. Also no shower in outdoor men’s onsen. Again not very authentic and didn’t provide any privacy when changing. Would not recommend this place unless you want to pay a ton of money just to see a nice garden.

Nous avons du payer un montant supplémentaire pour les enfants alors qu’il était indiqué que le prix initialement payé comprenait bien les enfants. L’établissement ne nous l’a pas indiqué au moment de la réservation ni avant que la réservation ne devienne non remboursable. Je ne trouve pas qu’il s’agisse d’une bonne pratique commerciale. Par ailleurs la chambre ne comprenait les équipements que pour les adultes mis à part les futons ajoutés au dernier moment. Pour la piscine les serviettes sont les mêmes que celles de la chambre. Elles sont donc toutes mouillées pour aller se doucher ensuite dans la chambre ce qui est regrettable pour un établissement de ce prix. C’est la première fois que je vois cela

Das Essen war nicht meins, da ich Fisch/Meeresfrüchte nicht so mag. Aber wer es mag, wird es lieben.

ここ最近の異常な暑さのせいなのか、廊下が暑かったです。温泉から出て部屋に戻るまでにまた少し汗をかいてしまうのが強いて言えば。

La cena troppo particolare non ci è piaciuta (e abbiamo assaggiato veramente di tutto in questo viaggio in Giappone l). La vasca privata nella nostra stanza aveva una temperatura troppo alta. Nonostante abbiamo chiesto di abbassarla non siamo riusciti ad utilizzarla.

Sjovt at prøve men godt vi kun havde to overnatninger. Vi ville godt have vidst at der ikke var noget alternativ til meget japansk mad til morgenmad og aftensmad- så havde vi kun valgt det en gang. Det er non- refundable. Vi mistede et nøglekort til værelset ved poolen- det skulle jeg betale 2200 Yen for. Det var dyrt.

The location is close to the train station, the grounds and room were beautiful and the staff were kind and helpful. The private outdoor bath was exactly as I hoped, and the public baths were very nice too.

Les repas traditionnels sont survendus, ils n’étaient pas bons et excessivement chers. Servis dans une salle rappelant plutôt un collectif ou une cantine améliorée. Les autres touristes autour de nous ne semblaient pas non plus ravis. Nous avons beaucoup mieux mangé et dans des endroits plus typiques lors de nos autres étapes au Japon. La piscine avec maillots faisait camping Les onsens par contre étaient bien.

In bedroom. The air conditioner operation is a bit complex. I would recommend the staff able to provide a briefing about how to use it. But this is not a complaint, just a suggestion.

Great location near the train station but also just far enough away to be quiet. Loved the complimentary tea/coffee/soft drinks available for guests in the lounge area.

Todo ha sido fabuloso, las fotos de Booking no le hacen justicia al lugar, es mucho más bonito en la realidad. Hay muchas familias pero la organización es tal que nadie se molesta. La ubicación es perfecta, a pesar de estar cerca de la estación, una vez en el hotel/ryokan uno no se entera de nada, parece estar lejos del resto del mundo, perdido en la montaña.

Tal vez el "lounge"...No es un lounge en el sentido universal. Sólo puedes tomar té, café y bebidas sin alcohol y no se puede comer. Tampoco hay música, nisiquiera de fondo.

Incredible property. Gardens were extraordinary. Staff so kind and polite. Onsen so nice. Outdoor onsen so peaceful and magical.

Hallways in large building could be improved. Perhaps by changing color and design with more natural materials to match the rooms, the views outside the windows.

The kaiseki breakfast and dinner were incredible. The staff was amazing! The women's onsen was gorgeous. We loved the style of the room and how comfortable the beds were. Bathroom was amazing!!

Absolutely phenomenal service and everyone was so nice. Perfect place to take a relaxing break!

The onsen area is amazing, both indoor and outdoor pools. It was really relaxing and peaceful. The ryokan is beautiful and there’s a stunning garden.

We booked a room with tatami and futon, the room was really big but a bit old and dusty.

Gardens were stunning. Onsen was nice but no instructions on protocol for non Japanese people. Had no idea we were supposed to scrub down before entering.

Didn’t love the food. Was probably traditional Japanese but there were a lot of strange dishes and we had a hard time figuring out what they were. One night was sufficient for us.

Absolutely stunning in all aspects, we were completely blown away by how amazing this place was!!! The garden is amazing, the baths/onsens were clean and relaxing and there were so many options!! The amenities were perfect, and dinner and breakfast provided varied and filling meals.

The meals were delicious but slightly challenging if you aren’t a fan of gelatinous foods!

Our Japanese style room with garden room was wonderful - spacious, comfortable and the view was excellent. What a magnificent garden. The onsen facilities were also wonderful and the pool. Location was very convenient. We also enjoyed the Japanese meals for breakfast and dinner - it allowed us to try new things and we thoroughly enjoyed it. Would highly recommend this ryokan.

Small thing - couldn’t control air conditioning

We arrived in afternoon and wanted to use the outdoor heated pool but it closed at 5pm so missed that. When we enquired about massages we’re told the masseuse would be the next day after 3pm. We had to check out at 10am. It was very expensive and while the staff were very accommodating there really wasn’t anything special for this price

The property was absolutely stunning. We felt like we were in a movie or a dream. I’d definitely recommend walking the garden at night. The staff were extremely attentive, helpful, and professional. The steakhouse was a 10/10. The best meal we had our whole trip.

Amazing garden and great location

The dinner had some dishes that I did not think were my favorite. Everything else about my stay was above and beyond!! Loved it!

The hotel was surrounded by a lovely garden and koi pond and very enjoyable to walk around. The room with the private onsen was expensive but it was an awesome private space with a garden. The dinner package was an interesting experience of new flavors and textures. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Maybe provide transportation to and from the train.

İnanılmaz bir bahçesi var. Yukatalarınızı giyip hem gündüz hem gece yürüşler yaparak bahçenin keyfini çıkarabilirsiniz. Onsen deneyimi çok keyifli ve rahatlatıcıydı. Personel çok yardımsever ve güleryüzlüydü. Ayrıca kokteyllere de bayıldık. Odalar beklediğimizden de büyüktü ve futonlar beklediğimizi aksine çok rahatttı.

Amazing experience. I don’t even know how to describe our stay, it was simply magical. The hotel is beautiful and the service fenomenal, everything exceeded all of our expectations. I highly recommend to check in at 14h and stay in to enjoy the facilities. The open baths are beautiful and the don’t get me started on the garden: breath taking to say the least. The food can be a challenge for picky eaters, but if you like trying new things and flavours I promise you it will be an interesting experience. If you rather keep it safe, they also have a stake house. The location is very convenient to explore Hakone, close to the main station and the bus stop.
