Location and the vibe

The staff was very hospitable!

apart from their staff, nothing was good about the property. It was not well maintained. The curtains in the room were dirty. The wall hanging above our bed was dirty. It also had spider webs , the ceiling of the room had water spillage. We close the room for one hour, and when we opened it, it smelled horrible that we had to check out and shift to another hotel.

Good for one night, close to restaurants and shops. Cheap.

The bathroom was dirty, water stains everywhere, wet toilet board, weird smell from the shower drainage, dirty mirror and all of the towel holders.

Nefasta experiencia. Primero nos dieron una habitación cuyo papel higiénico estaba empezado y la ducha estaba llena de arena de no haberla limpiado de los anteriores huéspedes. Además de esto la habitación estaba sucia con manchas de zapatos en las paredes, telarañas, etc. Había un montón de mosquitos, alguna araña y bichos minúsculos. La puerta del baño no cerraba además de que se inundaba el suelo cada vez que te duchas con miedo de que el agua salga para la habitación, y aún habiendo una alfombrilla para los pies, es tan fina que se llenaba de agua a la mínima y llenabas la habitación de agua con los pies. Finalmente fuimos a pagar con tarjeta ya que había un cartel de que se podía, de primero nos dijeron que no se podía y acabó viniendo otro hombre diciéndonos que para ello tenías que descargarte una aplicación y hacerte una cuenta . Lo barato sale caro.

Sehr zentral und nahe am Strand.

Die Zimmer entsprechen grundsätzlich den Fotos, waren jedoch leider deutlich weniger sauber, als wir erwartet hatten. Besonders das Badezimmer war schmutzig und hatte einen sehr unangenehmen, muffigen Geruch. Sowohl im Badezimmer als auch im Zimmer war Schimmel sichtbar, und insgesamt war alles sehr feucht. Diese Feuchtigkeit war auch deutlich zu riechen und hat dazu geführt, dass man sich im Zimmer nicht wirklich wohlgefühlt hat. Auch die Ausstattung war eher mangelhaft. Besonders störend war, dass sich die Badezimmertür zum Zimmer nicht richtig schliessen liess. Leider haben wir auch das Personal nicht als besonders freundlich oder zuvorkommend erlebt. Insgesamt entsprach der Aufenthalt deshalb nicht unseren Erwartungen und wir würden die Unterkunft in diesem Zustand nicht nochmals buchen.

Me gustó mucho el vibe del lugar, la habitación, la ubicación del lugar y la amabilidad del personal.

El baño, está algo descuidado y el agua de la ducha olía muy mal, los dos últimos días de mi estancia no me pude duchar porque aunque el personal intentó arreglarlo, no mejoró.

ALLES! Die Lage war absolut klasse, super ruhig, grün und trotzdem zentral. Das Personal war herausragend und hat bei allen Anliegen geholfen. Die Zimmer waren toll.

The owner was very friendly and cool and location was awesome so so so close to the beach. Hope to come once again

On arrival to this hotel I was told it was fully booked and I would have to be moved to another hotel. This wouldn’t have been a problem if I hadn’t already been travelling 7+ hours that same day. It was extremely stressful. NOTHING

When we were moved to the second “hotel” it was in the middle of nowhere. Awful atmosphere, the building itself looked abandoned. The room was so dirty and the whole 30 minutes I was there I felt completely unsafe. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable. I contacted the manager and told them I wouldn’t stay and wanted a refund. Overall awful experience and ruined the trip in Mirissa.

It was very peaceful and we were very comfortable everything was clean and the staff was very helpful also it looked very nice. The rooms were clean and nice

The AC was totally not working. We slept in the evening and we were draining in sweat. and also the location its located was not pretty at all. the water was not pressure enough and also there was a muddy smell in the water. Idk why.

Otelin konsepti ve bahçesine bayıldım bir harika. Bahçesinde hiç vakit geçiremedim geç geldiğimiz için. Çalışanları gerçekten dünyanın en nazik insanları her konuda. Valizlerimi odamıza kadar çıkarttılar. Odalar tertemiz. Odanın konsepti bir harika. Balkonda maymunları görebilirsiniz. Gerçekten çok farklı ve görsel olarak harika bir konseptleri var. Gezilecek yerlere ve sahile yürüme mesafesinde. Ana yoldan hemen bulunabilir konumu çok iyi.

Absolutely worth it! Everything you need in Mirissa is just a short walk away, making the location incredibly convenient. The room is clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere that instantly puts you in vacation mode. If you’re looking for a place that truly captures the laid-back beach vibes of Mirissa, this is definitely the perfect choice. I would happily stay here again on my next visit!

The staff was not responsive at times.. had to keep reminding them about things and even about them coming to collect their money..

The location is great

The bathroom was not clean, the taps were leaking, bathroom water was coming inside the room, the rooms were not maintained properly.

Nos gustó la ubicación y la decoración de la habitación. Calidad precio en general está bien.

No nos gustó que la cama es un poco dura y te dejas el cuello. El último día no teníamos agua en la habitación. Hay bastantes mosquitos. El baño tiene olor a humedad

The place didn't correlate to what was shown or mentioned in the pictures and description. Requesting to reciprocate accordingly to the pictures shown or change description as hopes were up with a lot of expectations which were only a failure to see. The rooms were absolutely dirty, bedsheets not clean and unhygienic.

I had a pleasant stay at this property. Although the room I initially booked did not include air conditioning, the staff kindly upgraded me to an AC room for one night and also offered an alternative AC option for the following nights. Due to the price difference, I decided to move elsewhere, but I truly appreciated their flexibility and willingness to help. One of the staff members also kindly covered my tuk-tuk fare when the driver didn’t have change, and I reimbursed him later—an act of hospitality I genuinely valued. They were also very helpful in suggesting local events and activities, which made my short stay more enjoyable and informative. Overall, it was a comfortable and positive experience with thoughtful and supportive service.

Świetne miejsce, jedno z lepszych w jakich byliśmy na Sri Lance. W dodatku były kotki i pieski 🤎 Czyste, zadbane miejsce, personel bardzo przyjazny

Alles in der Nähe, man konnte in der Nähe gut Frühstücken und Abendessen. Die Strände waren alle in der Nähe. Meine Freundin und ich können A++ empfehlen, da haben wir die 3 Nächte Abend gegessen. Da konnte man auf das Meer sehen und alle sind super drauf. Das Personal war super freundlich.

Das Badezimmer, die vom Badezimmer konnte man ganz schwer öffnen und schließen. Schimmel Wände, Fußabdruck an der Wand und leider lag auf dem Tisch ein dreckiges Tischtuch.

The staff was welcoming and the location was perfect. The beach was just across the street. Property is beautiful with greenery around and nice aesthetic bar setup and sitting area.

I wish it had AC in the room. It was my mistake that I didn’t notice while booking however the weather was not that bad and it was manageable with a fan too.

Midden in Mirissa loop je vanuit de grote weg een terrein op en kom je bij een verrassend mooie en groene oase weg van de drukte en het lawaai. Wij werden ‘s ochtends door aapjes gewekt.🐒 Er is een bar bij voor een hapje en drankje. Ze hebben een erg lekkere lunchkaart. Verder is er een keuken waar iedereen gebruik van mag maken. De kamers zijn eenvoudig maar netjes. Ik zou er zeker nog eens teruggaan.

I stayed at Bananas in Mirissa and had a really positive experience overall. The location is great, close to everything but still feels relaxed, and the atmosphere is very calm and easygoing. What stood out the most was how kind and genuine the staff are. I had a stressful situation with my return flight being disrupted, and they were incredibly understanding and supportive. They let me extend my stay last minute without any hassle, and they were always around to answer any questions or help with anything I needed. It made a huge difference. The location is absolutely excellent, everything is so close - coconut tree hill, mirissa beach and all the shops you need are on the main road where the hotel is including supermarkets, restaurants, pharmacies and massage places. As a female solo traveller, I also felt very safe staying here, which is something I really value. The environment felt comfortable, welcoming and respectful at all times. The place itself is simple but comfortable, and it has a really nice, relaxed feel to it. The staff create such a warm atmosphere and are genuinely friendly, not just doing their job but actually caring about guests. I also loved that they let me spend time with their cat, which honestly made my stay even more special. Little things like that made it feel more personal and memorable. Overall, it’s about the people and how you’re treated and Bananas does that really well. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re looking for somewhere relaxed, friendly and supportive while staying in Mirissa.

All options are lying and theres no even good air conditioning no options that they mentioned in site and no one in charge any time for even check out we had no time and we had to go airport at morning but there were no one to support and even fir this 2 days no one there and no even water or tissue or something in area

La décoration de la chambre est jolie, l'hotel est bien situé

L'extérieur (la cours, sous les escaliers, ou encore à l'étage la partie non finie a côté de notre chambre) de l'hôtel est sale, déchèterie a ciel ouvert. Traces de moisissures dans la chambre ainsi que pas d'eau chaude dans la salle de bain. Et bien sûr dernier jour invasion de fourmis De plus l'hotel se vente d'avoir un bain froid qui est absolument vide, il n'y a pas une seule goute d'eau pour se rafraîchir. Le personnel sur WhatsApp ne vous répond que 3h après, il ne faut donc pas avoir besoin d'eux !

I had a really nice stay overall. Everything was super clean, and the place itself is beautiful, very cozy, and well-maintained. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, which made a great first impression. They also had a board with daily activities, which I thought was a nice touch, and the location is quite central, so everything felt very convenient. The facilities are quite complete — there’s a coworking area and a restaurant on-site, which is actually pretty good.

One thing to keep in mind is that the activities are paid, and since the place is quite large and some people seem to live there long-term, many already have their own groups. Because of that, it can feel a bit hard to connect with others, as people tend to stick to themselves and aren’t always very open to meeting new people.

The room stank of mould and damp so much so it made me feel sick. The bathroom was dirty and could do with a good clean. There was mould in the room and bathroom and after a shower there was no way to ventilate the room without opening the doors and windows which then let all the mosquitos in but there was no net over the bed to protect from this like there were in other rooms. Its such a shame as the staff and location are amazing and other rooms might be better than this. We left after 1 night rather than the 5 nights we booked but the staff understood this.

Lekkere plek. Mooie kamer met airco. Hele lieve mensen. Je kan in de tuin ontbijten wat een heerlijk plekje is. Midden in het centrum en op loopafstand van het strand.

Great location and the staff were very happy to help. They had yoga on a morning which was led by a great teacher. The bedroom was spacious and staff were able to quickly help when we had some ants coming in and out - a one off incident.

Bathroom had a funny smell and the water did not get hot.

Great brunch options and good location

Beautiful interior and garden, efficient AC, super quiet room, friendly and caring staff, fantasitic location! As an european tourist, I loved observing the monkeys on the balcony! 🫶

There could have been a towel in the room, that’s all.

Gute Lage in Mirissa. Nettes Personal

Das Zimmer ist in die Jahre gekommen. Es war einigermaßen sauber aber alles sah schon so heruntergekommen und im Bad ekelig aus.

Solo estuvimos una noche pero hemos estado genial. La habitación está muy bien, tiene incluso con aire acondicionado y balcón. Está super cerca de la playa, tiendas, restaurantes… sin duda volvería a alojarme aquí.

Great location on main street of Mirissa, very friendly host who were kindly modify my bookings for 2nd night despite already passing the free cancellation period on booking.com. Room was spacious, shower room was OK.

Turned out the rooms with 2 different rates in booking.com are actually same rooms: lower priced one are without A/C and higher priced one are with A/C. No complain, fan without A/C was also OK for short stay to rest during night, as during the days we are out exploring Mirissa anyway.

Draussen in der ,,Lobby,, war es sehr gemütlich eingerichtet.

Camere pulite e arredate con gusto! Aria condizionata e ventilatore (molto utili con il caldo di Mirissa). Il personale è stato gentile, abbiamo anche fatto una lezione di yoga al mattino. Adorabili i cani e gatti della struttura!

Purtroppo non c’era acqua calda e un pomeriggio é mancata la luce per diverse ore (però questo può capitare)

Super friendly stuff and a great place to hang out at. Lots of love been given to all the animals there. We loved the place.

The rooms are very clean and the garden is magical! Everyone is so sweet and helpful. We had a wonderful stay and the guys were great. A very peaceful place. The food at the cafe is absolutely amazing. Oh and there were the cutest dogs and baby kittens!

The staff absolutely made the stay! They were so helpful, organised laundry for me and were just really friendly, smiley and inviting. One of the best shashuka i have ever had from the cafe. Loved that there was also yoga in the morning. The room was clean and modern in a great location

Except location nothing

The place is so so so dirty. The bed, the bathroom. The smell. This is for people that like to sleep in dirty places or wanna stay awake till midnight.
