Ein wunderbares, ruhig inmitten der Natur gelegenes B&B, von dem aus man den hübschen Ort Cong per Auto schnell erreichen kann. Wir hatten ein ordentlich ausgestattetes, großes Zimmer mit Panoramablick in die Landschaft, wobei zu sagen ist, dass nicht alle Zimmer diese Aussicht haben. Die Gastgeberin Joan war sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns ein reichhaltiges, leckeres Frühstück serviert. Aus unserer Sicht ist das eine sehr empfehlenswerte Unterkunft, um Connemara, Galway und Mayo zu erkunden.

Very nice place, clean, good breakfast. The owner, Joan, was very friendly and helpful and helped us with whatever we needed. We had a problem with a different reservation and she was very welcoming when we had nowhere to stay. Highly recommend.

Very clean rooms. The breakfast was fast and very good. The hostess was very pleasant. She provided great insight into the area and where to eat dinner.

The property was exceptionally clean and comfortable, making it a highly relaxing place to stay. The host was absolutely lovely, welcoming us warmly and ensuring we had everything needed for a pleasant visit.

The location is about three miles outside of Cong, which means you cannot easily walk into the village. However, this was barely an issue as the local taxi service was excellent, reliable, and quick to arrive.

Wir waren neun Tage zu Gast in Ballnamona House. Die Gastgeberin könnte freundlicher nicht sein, das Frühstück war einfach toll, alles ist liebevoll und durchdacht eingerichtet, die Atmosphäre sehr familiär. Vor der Tür grast eine Herde Schafe, wir haben die Ruhe genossen und hervorragend geschlafen. Die Lage ist super. Die Unterkunft liegt nur einige Fahrminuten von Cong entfernt und sowohl Lough Mask als auch Lough Corrib bieten schöne Wanderungen, kleine Strände oder auch Erkundungen per Boot. Auch für die Erkundung von Connemara ist Ballnamona House gut gelegen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden wieder buchen. Vielen Dank für den tollen Aufenthalt!

Joan and her family are excellent hosts, very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Breakfast was very good, with lots of choice. The house is in a great location for Cong and the surrounding area. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay at Ballnamona House in Cong. Joan was an exceptional host from start to finish — warm, welcoming, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. The house itself was spotless, peaceful, and beautifully maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect for exploring Cong, Ashford Castle, Connemara, and the surrounding west coast. Waking up to the quiet countryside each morning was such a treat. What really made the stay special was Joan’s hospitality. Nothing felt too much trouble. It’s rare to find a place that feels both professionally run and genuinely homely at the same time.

Ballinamona House is a beautiful home with large bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The hosts made us feel right at home and were very accommodating. We enjoyed full Irish breakfasts that were delicious and made to order. We will definitely recommend Ballinamona House to family and friends.

I loved everything about the Ballnamona House. The host Joan was super polite and made sure we were taken care of. Breakfast was amazing. I left so full. Also the shower had the greatest water pressure I’ve ever experienced!!

There isn’t a thing I did not like.

The views from the property were spectacular. An outdoor courtyard with a small table allowed us to have a relaxing evening and an opportunity to recap of our days adventures. Wonderful breakfast.

Todo bien, habitación super limpia, grande y espaciosa, baño super limpio y desayuno fantástico, la dueña te cocina y te hace huevos, bacòn y todo buenísimo. La anfitriona Joan, una señora muy simpática y agradable y un sitio super tranquilo para descansar. Excelente sitio para pernoctar. Todo muy muy bien, cuidado al detalle.

Good location close to town (Cong), but located in lovely sheep farm country. Comfortable, clean, great breakfast, welcoming hostess (Joan and her daughter were very kind), affordable. Breakfast room was lovely. The quintessential Irish Bed and Breakfast experience. Cong is a fun way to spend a day (Ashford Castle, little walks available, the Abbey). Also just an hour or two to Connemara, the Burren, and there’s oodles of beautiful countryside around. I really enjoyed my visit to Knockma Woods, 30 mins away.

It was in a lovely quiet location, away from the hustle and bustle. Joan was so welcoming, the room was really clean and spacious, loads of hot water and a power shower and lots of extras, tea & coffee making facilities in the room and a hairdryer. The breakfast was top class. Fresh fruit, yoghurt, juice, and a selection of cereal, endless tea, as well as bacon, eggs, and toast. I really enjoyed the chats with Joan as well. I would highly recommend this B&B.

Úžasné ubytování se skvělou snídaní

Das Frühstück war sehr reichhaltig. Wir wohnten im Obergeschoss und hatten quasi eine ganze Wohnung für uns mit Miniküche (Kühlschrank, Mikrowelle, Wasserkocher und Toaster), Wohn- und Essbereich. Joan und ihre Tochter sind sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberinnen. Mit dem Auto gut und schnell zu erreichen sind Cong und Clonbur, wo es diverse sehr gute Restaurants gibt. Das ganze Anwesen ist sehr gepflegt.

Die Wohnung hat nur Dachfenster, was bei uns mit zwei Tagen sehr heissem Wetter leicht saunamässig war. Und dann, als der Regen kam, mussten wir sie wieder schliessen, damit kein Wasser eindringen konnte. Doch da können natürlich die Gastgeberinnen nichts dafür.
