Lovely apartment, comfortable beds. Good living area. Close to centre of Ypres, very walkable.

The stairs are steep getting up to flat and in the flat. Loft bedroom is small but ok.

It was absolutely perfect!! Take cash, as we loved that the fridge was filled with beer, wine and soft drink that could be purchased at a reasonable price. It was very quiet and clean and close to the train station and Menin Gate. The apartment was very large which is great when you have teenagers. Loved the rooftop view! It also had a sauna!!

Het parkeren is wat onduidelijk en spannend als je de auto aan de straat durft te zetten. Iets verderop is wel gratis gelegenheid (10 minuten lopen).

Amazing living space and amenity, great instructive information booklet and provision of drinking opportunities in the mini bar. Lovely bathroom and sauna cabin (not used)

The stairs to the bedroom floor were steep and a challenge when I was carrying a luggage bag while recovering from a knee injury. The sofas were stylish but not quite as comfortable as they looked! (A minor issue)

The apartment is beautiful. Very spacious, clean and has beautiful views. Extremely easy to find and access. We cannot wait to return!.

I stayed at Maro Apartments during a motorcycle road trip with two old friends, and it was the perfect choice for our trip. We wanted plenty of space and our own bedrooms, and the apartment exceeded our expectations. The apartment itself was fantastic, with a lovely layout and everything finished to a very high standard. It was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was ideal, situated in a quiet neighbourhood just a 10-minute walk from the centre of Ypres. Ypres is a beautiful town with plenty to see and do, and the nightly Menin Gate ceremony at 8:00 pm is something visitors should not miss. Parking was very convenient. We were able to stop directly outside the apartment to unload our luggage before moving our motorcycles to a free car park just a short walk away. For those travelling by car, the property also provides a free parking permit for on-street parking. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would not hesitate to return. I would highly recommend Maro Apartments to anyone visiting Ypres.

Great communication and excellent value. The extent of the honesty fridge is exceptional. These are people that really care about their customers. Thank you. Only there for one night on a motorcycle tour with friends but would love to revisit with my wife. Ypres seemed wonderful. The 8pm rememberence service at the Menim Gate was particularly moving. How committed is this nation to remembering others. Very touched and grateful.

I have stayed in ypres many times but this is the first time at this end of the town . The apartment was very spacious clean and comfortable . 7 of us in there and it did not feel over crowded at all. The bedrooms large and airy while the bathroom was again large and very clean . All 7 of us were very impressed with the apartment . It was excellent value for the money ,it had everything you might need . We had an outstanding 3 night stay . If we come back ,and I'm sure we will I will definitely try to stay at this apartment.

I have absolutely no complaints , but if your an older or disabled person you would definitely struggle with the stairs .

Fantastisch appartement, erg ruim en uitstekend uitgerust. Zelfs voorzien van koffie, thee, frisdrank, bier, wijn, etenswaren, etc. Zeer ruime keuken en 3 grote slaapkamers.

Het WIFI-signaal was wel erg zwak.

The location was very good for walking to town - it was just a little tricky to find.

The stairs were quite steep but we were all fit enough to manage.

So spacious, clean and comfortable with lovely attention to detail. Everything had been considered for what we may need as part of our stay. Very easy to walk to the Menin Gate and access the town. Parking was simple and the instructions were clear.

The stairs are steep so just to keep that in mind when booking. However every care had been taken to make the apartment accessible and the stairs all had handrails and automatic lighting for ease. I can’t say that it was something we “didn’t like” (which was the question), it’s just for awareness.

Unfortunatly no washing machine or clothes horse albeit heaps of space for one. Very steep stairs which we managed fine but if you had mobility issues could be challenging. We loved the climb because it was worth it❤️

Les escaliers sont un peu raides pour des personnes en difficulté de déplacement Si on veut être vraiment difficile, la literie pourrait être améliorée mais ce serait du luxe

Great property and a 5-10 minute walk to the centre of town. Keys are in a small lockbox at the entrance, trouble free. Great kitchen with more than enough facilities to keep you happy.

Lots of stairs so probably not suitable for those with an allergy to stairs! (Perhaps some (very) basic instructions for the TV for those of us who are tech challenged!) Otherwise, there was nothing to dislike.

Amazing space! Beautiful apartment with loads of space. Very well equipped and very comfortable. Brilliant location just a few minutes from the centre.

Not an issue for us but there were lots of steep steps in the apartment so may be less suitable if someone has limited mobility or with very small children. Lovely to have a range of snacks and drinks in the refrigerator but it left very little room for food!

De twee enkele bedden boven kraken enorm. De douche werd niet echt warm. En de straal was niet sterk.

Location was great, a short walk from the town centre. Facilities were excellent, just as advertised. Very spacious and comfortable. The option to purchase food and drinks from the kitchen was a really nice touch, especially if you arrived late at night.

The property is immaculate, spacious and beautifully decorated. Plenty of space for myself, husband and 4 kids. Ideally located only a short walk away from market square and free street parking is a huge bonus. The little extras like a few toiletries/condiments/ice in the freezer were nice touches for a short stay. Overall I have nothing bad to say about it.

If I was to be picky, (and I mean this because I really hate to be negative about such lovely accommodations) the only negative are the stairs which are very steep and a little precarious to navigate with luggage.

The property was gorgeous. Only thing for travellers is the 40 odd stairs. I got my steps in but was an effort getting the luggage up. If your looking at exploring the military history of Australia or any nation involved in the first world war this is the place to start and make your base. Most moving place.

Maro apartment was a perfect location for our stay in Ypres and we were only sorry that we could not stay longer. It was easy to find, parking was straightforward and was spacious and beautifully fitted out and decorated. We loved the loft style layout and all the stairs and space. Whilst we didn't have chance to use the sauna it was a great additional element, as were the provisions and honesty box - such a great idea for a late arrival on a Sunday. Andrzej was an easy going host, had thought of everything users might require and made our short stay very comfortable. The location is superb, central enough but within a quiet neighbourhood. We really will return for longer and explore more fully this incredible area. Thank you.

Meer keukengerei was handig geweest (glazen, bestek, pannen en potten). Ook de temperatuur in het appartement was moeilijk te regelen. Het werd er veel te warm, ook op de kamers.

My only criticism of the entire property were the single beds in the third bedroom, which unfortunately I’m not really fit for purpose. They’re incredibly rickety make noise loud enough to wake up all members of the apartment every time you roll over and are incredibly uncomfortable. The good news is the boat sofas turned into sofa beds so it wasn’t a huge issue, but I think those beds in that attic room could be addressed.

top single bed, occupant found it uncomfortable, shower power weak but totally liveable with. Had been told parking was free around the apartment but we got a parking fine for parking in the square for more than 2 hours just as you come out the apartment and turn left.

The apartment was spacious, light, with lovely views and well appointed. Main kitchen and dining room has a very high ceiling - gorgeous space. Beautiful shower and bath but sadly we couldn't use them.

No hot water! I queried it with the owner (at 830am Sunday) but no reply for two hours by the time we had checked out. I asked for a partial refund because we had not been able to shower. I was promised one but it's now five days later and nothing has come through. Also the stairs are very steep and there are three flights up to the bedrooms, four to the top bedroom. If you have elderly or very young guests (or lots of luggage) you might struggle.

Alles wat uitstekend verzorgd. Communicatie was vriendelijk en duidelijk. Het appartement is heerlijk ruim. Goede bedden en een prachtig uitzicht over Ieper.

We were blown away by the cleanliness and facilities. Loved the honesty box and food. Superb location.

Really difficult to find a bad point. Really steep stairs but I'm scraping the barrel for negatives for this outstanding apartment. Would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone.

Amazing apartment with every need considered. Great location as it was only a 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Ypres and the Menin Gate. There was a fridge stocked with drinks on an honesty box basis, along with pizzas in the freezer. All the bedrooms/bathrooms and living quarters were clean and tidy and well decorated. A very lovely and quiet apartment.

The amount of stairs to get into the top bedroom was a lot and they were very steep and tight to navigate, especially with big suitcases. I appreciate this is due to the shape of the building and can't be avoided, but its not ideal for less mobile people, smaller children or large heavy luggage.

The apartment is in a great location for exploring Ypres. It's spacious and finished to a high spec with good quality fixtures and fixings. The communal space is excellent and the area is quiet although only a few minutes walk rom the centre of town. The on street parking was convenient and all communication was prompt.

The bedding was a little heavy for a stay during summer and it would be helpful to have a mirror in each of the bedrooms.
