1929 Shanghai alleyway

Very friendly host who even invited me to noodles, great location in the French Concession, everything you need is there (fridge, washing machine, dryer etc). Contrary to some other reviews, I actually found the bed quite comfortable, very good price for Shanghai

Since it's an old building, there were many bugs and mosquitoes. Not their fault but behind the thick walls was the only place in China where I didn't have any mobile internet connection (there is Chinese WiFi though)

The apartment is really cozy and has everything you need for an amazing stay. 😊 The location is also great, just a few minutes away from the subway but still peaceful and easy to sleep at night. The best part however is the host Michael. He’s really friendly and extremely helpful. Highly recommend!

Help, there is full of worms everywhere in every corner. I got the attention because one was in the middle of the room. Its late in the evening and i can’t sleep one more night. its full of them. The host is not writing me back and i hope he will give me a fair refund. Please help me Bookings. com

First of all: owner. Michael is incredibly helpful, shows and explains everything at this apartment but also a bit about the city, how to get to the main attractions. Flat is very cosy, in the centre, very close to the subway/metro. It has everything you need for the few days stay. Highly recommended.

Bed was on the firmer side (as sine reviews mention) but wasn’t too bad and I still slept well!

The apartment is in a great location, close to the center and a short walk from the metro station. The owner was very nice and helpful, willing to solve even non-standard requests.

Michael was the best host we’ve had. He helped us with everything we needed.

Micheal est un hôte charmant, dévoué à ceux qu’il accueille, proposant des conseils très appréciés et très bons pour les restaurants et la visite de la ville. L’appartement est un chez soi agréable, bien placé et très bien équipé.

Le manque de fenêtre est à noter, ainsi que le manque d’insonorisation.

The host Michael is a great guy and the apartment even though it was smaller than expected but itwas enough for me for 4 nights as solo.

The bed mattress

This is small but convenient apartment located in the city center just several meter from the subway. Location is excellent, this subway station is a hub connecting 3 different lines. You can get to a lot of places just go straight without changing lines. (And much more just walking). A place is located inside the historical area French concession. Host is super nice person with a great English who can not only provide accomodation, but also give you a lot of information from the local.

Just fyi place has no windows (only a small one in a bathroom) and located from the backside on the ground level. But Michael made his best to provide everything you need for comfortable stay in Shanghai.

A localização é fantástica! O metropolitano está apenas a alguns minutos de caminhada. Têm um restaurante muito bom logo na entrada ao lado do portão. O Michael é muito gente boa. Se precisar, pode contar com ele.

Michael was very helpful; he gave useful recommendations and was very flexible concerning the check-in and check-out procedures. The apartment is small but practical and fresh, and it it is indeed in a good position.

Actually, everything was fine. The apartment is small but it does not really matter, as we spent all the time exploring the city. Unfortunately, the wifi stopped working at some point due to weather conditions (but the landlord managed to help us anyway).

Has everything you need in this cozy little appartment. Really felt at home. Would recommend for sure.

Location is exceptional just steps from subway Line 1/10/12, Pakrsons, and iapm. Can walk to foreigner hangouts on Donghu Rd. I stayed for a month, got a gym membership nearby and had many options for food, coffee, etc. Local host was very responsive and provided a number of extras. Clean, quiet, and no significant smells. We just moved out down the street to a more expensive local hotel chain and it's dirty, noisy, and smells.

Shower is small. I'm averaged size and it was a bit of a challenge. Windows: there is one that is covered with a sheet in the bedroom, and there is one in the bath which has a fan in it that is constantly running (which is a good thing for air circulation). So just be aware that it's basically a small closed in hallway with little natural light. I like no light, it's good for sleeping in late. :)

nice clean apartment with very good location. doesn’t have kitchen but they provide microwave, refrigerator, kettle, cutlery and plates. you have heater, bed warmer, wash machine and dryer.

the bed was super uncomfortable, you can feel the wood, almost no mattress (they just use a thin one). very difficult to have a properly rest.

Super nice and friendly owner, very responsible. He also provided free sim card for your phone also water, and some food ect. I can check even earlier and check out later. They have electric door key as well.
