Reviewed Jul 24, 2025nice views, fireplace made it cosy.
Kitchen not well equipped. Only electric blanket in one of the bedrooms. There was no sign post from the main road which made it hard to find. Make sure you arrive in day light!

Reviewed Mar 31, 2025We absolutely love our stay! It is near shops and restaurants. The host Roger was great and so supportive. The accommodation and area is just to our liking. We loved that we are private. We went for walk with our doggies in the beautiful area. The mountain view from the cottage are so tranquil. We loved to sit at the comfortable veranda. Our doggies also liked Touchstone Cottage. It was great that is was fenced in. ( I would just have liked a good mop and bucket as I like to clean - but that is just me )

We struggled to find the cottage from the google maps pin. It kept directing us into the middle of nowhere. A “touchstone” signboard at the corner where you turn right off the D494 would have been helpful. The mattress in the bedroom with the on-suite bathroom is very uncomfortable

Reviewed Aug 12, 2024Beautiful cottage, amazing and very attentive host! Linen was gorgeous, everything provided for. There were even a few kid's toys and books. Also loved the firewood - had two beautiful fires in the fireplace. And the views over the valley were gorgeous.
The bed in the main bedroom was a bit hard. Road in wasn't so great.

The main house accesses their driveway through the cottage property so adventurous dogs might escape.
