The location is great The bed is comfortable. The noise from outside was quiet.

The carpet was terrible and dangerous. It trips you up if you don't walk slowly. I would like to send you photos. The decor was very badly constructed. When you open or shut the shower door, a gun shot sound terrifies you. The couch is filthy and has cigarette burn holes. It is grubby and well below standard.

a hotel where you want to stay for a long time. cozy, comfortable, nice view, great location. around good restaurants for breakfast and dinner. if i return to istanbul, then only here.

We’ve stayed here before and really loved it. The location in my opinion is the best in Istanbul. Right outside your doorstep are lovely bars, cafes and restaurants. Walking distance to the Bosphorus, bazaar’s, Taksim Square etc. It’s also super convenient having a washing machine and kitchen in the apartment.

This time we stayed on the 4th floor which in the evenings until around 1am is so noisy from the restaurant above. It literally sounds like they are dragging chairs and tables around all night. There isn’t necessarily anything that can be done about this, but I would recommend to avoid the 4th floor if you want to get an early night. The kitchen utensils are in need of an upgrade. While it’s great having a kitchen. The pots and pans had built up grease which is off putting to cook with and really needed replacing. They also need to supply a scrubber and dishwashing liquid so you can do the dishes. This wouldn’t put me off staying again as overall it is great. Just something to note.

Kubra, the young lady at the accommodation, was very helpful and always available to assist! But what could she do about the lack of internet access!!

Avoid it if you do not have a Turkish SIM card or sufficient roaming! If you work remotely during your trip, this is definitely not a place for you. Even for using Google Maps or messaging apps, you need to go to a cafe nearby to have access to the internet.

The location couldnt be better. Lots of shops, restaurants, bars and cafés just outside the building makes the area alive and interesting . I did not experience any disturbing noice from the street. Spacious room with a big bathroom. The place is cosy and the bed is comfortable. Very friendly and helpful staff that can be reached through what’s app.

The fridge was turned off and had a terrible smell in it. I had no intention of using it so it wasn’t a problem. If making homemade food is the goal, the kitchenette inventories will be disappointing.

There was a very calm and silent atmosphere on the street in spite of location in the centre.

We were settled in the apartment by the staff, which is located under the restaurant. It was the most terrible 2 nights. The furniture was moved to 3 am and we can’t sleep even using ear plugs, every time it seemed as if you were beaten on your head. Of course, after these “perfect nights” you aren't in the mood to enjoy the city. After we asked the staff to move us to a different apartment, we appreciated this, because it was a new years night. But it was a smaller apartment for the previous expensive cost.

We stayed here on two different occasions. In the second one, we came again after another hotel we booked to be near Taksim turned out to be awful. Cihangir Residences is a clean place in a great location. The apartments are very much like home, no random ugly decorative objects or old furniture. It’s spacious and contemporary. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom, bedsheets, towels etc are clean.

One of the best locations. Very European like vibe. Nice crowd very modern and alternative people.

First night was noisy or probably we needed time to adjust. There are lots of coffee shops and restaurants/bars that are busy even at late evening. If you join the club there will be no problem for your sleep. If you come here to rest please ask for upper floors.

Splendid accommodation in the heart of Istanbul, with relatively easy access from both the top and bottom. And excellent service, with a free room upgrade, and with understanding of our late night departure, also allowed us to stay much much longer, which allowed for more exploration of all the gems.

The property was finished very well, a high level of detail went into the finishes and furnishings.

Very limited kitchenware, no chopping board or utensils for cooking. Meanwhile a fully operational kitchen, slightly wasted.

In July 2024, I stayed at Cihangir Apartments and had a wonderful experience. First and foremost, I want to extend my gratitude to Kubra, the administrator, who was incredibly hospitable, positive, and attentive to guests’ needs. The apartments are conveniently located near popular destinations such as Taksim and Galata. Additionally, there are several trendy cafés in the vicinity. The room was well-equipped with all the essentials for a comfortable stay.

Everything was great about this Residence. Cozy comfortable and relaxing. Would definitely recommend for a small family. 10/10

During my recent stay at the CIHANGIR Residence, I was impressed by both the helpfulness of the staff and the hotel's excellent location. From the moment I arrived, their manager Kubra greeted us warmly and efficiently checked us in, making us feel welcome right away. The apartment's location was also a highlight. Situated in the heart of Istanbul, it was convenient to walk to nearby shops, restaurants, and Galata tower. Despite being centrally located, the room was surprisingly quiet, allowing for a peaceful night's sleep. Overall, the combination of the friendly staff along with the prime location made my stay at the Cihangir Residence both enjoyable and memorable. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Istanbul.

The location was in a very hip and upbeat area but it was up a hill so people who have some difficulties should take that into consideration Very safe location and 7 min away from taksim (the walk to taksim was nice as well as you pass by a lot of stores and nice cafes) Theres also hamam ağa close by which is one of the oldest hamams in istanbul There are Many cafes just underneath the property too The apartment itself is nice and cosy, however the one person bedroom has no air-conditioning so keep that in mind Very comfortable i would definitely recommend this place and we might come back again

The manager Kubra was is an absolutely amazing girl. Very friendly and helpful. The locatio is awesome, with loads of cool people and restaurants around.

Fantastic location in beautiful Cihangir neighbourhood, surrounded by restaurants and other services. Enjoyable walking to other neighbourhoods of interest, including Sultanahmet - we didn't feel the need to use public transport at all. The room was a very good size with lovely big windows and views of the pretty street below. Having a kitchenette to make breakfast was handy. The room was serviced most days. We used the hotel taxi shuttle to get to the airport - it was pricey (and the hotel will only accept cash for this!) but a very nice quality service. We would stay here again, thank you!

It was difficult to contact the hotel reception staff at times when needed, but they were helpful once you were able to get in touch.

Perfect location

A bit noisy due to restaurant above and below

The location is Cihangir is so lively and beautiful. living here definitely elevated our Istanbul experience and made us understand a lot about people and culture in Beygolu.

The hotel people are so well behaved, nice and understanding. But one day there was no cleaning and we couldn't take the trash out because the cleaning lady was on leave. But, in any case I would love to stay here again when I visit.

The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly - anything that was missing or that we needed was quickly provided, and they were easy to reach. I couldn't ask for more on that. And the restaurant on the roof was great quality seafood. It was a bit expensive for the area, but really good.

The kitchenette wasn't very well-supplied and so if a guest plans on doing a lot of cooking, it may take some discussion with the staff to ensure there's enough pots, pans, utensils, glasses, etc for their needs.

10/10 location. Could not be in a better part of town. Close enough to walk to all the tourist locations, but not amongst the hectic hustle and bustle. You are surrounded by beautiful cafes, restaurants and bars. Also 5min walk to a supermarket. We stayed in an apartment which had cooking facilities and a washing machine which was a godsend!. Staff are contactable by WhatsApp so easy to get hold of if needed. We really couldn’t have enjoyed our stay more and would absolutely stay again. Wish we could find a place like this for the rest of our trip as we move on from Istanbul.

Excellent location, right in the middle of vibrant Cihangir. The property is sandwiched between restaurants and bars. Taksim square, Istiklal street and Gala port are each 12-15 mins walking distance. The room is bright, clean and has all facilities and amenities to make you feel as at home. Dishwasher, washing mashine, fridge, TV, good Wifi and amazing rooftop restaurant in the same building. And very responsive staff, who were able to provide all required support.

Location is great, Galata tower, Taxim, Galataport and Karakoy district is really near. Cihangir is one of best district to stay - there is a lot of nice restaurants, stores and cafes. Near appartment is greate restaurant to eat Manti and several to eat turkish breakfast.

Appartment is noisy, no idea is it due other guests, restaurant or whatever, but we need to send inquiry to reception. It was a bit better after that, but still, if you are looking for a quite appartment than you should skip this one. Cleaning was good, but it need to be asked each day if you want clean towels and cleaning.

The property is really comfortable and well located. The staff are kind and easy to communicate with. Beds are comfy and the little kitchen is handy.

Slightly more frequent room cleaning and more practical kitchen equipment would have improved our stay.

The only thing I really liked about the place was its excellent location in the centre of Cihangir. Also, the apartment was spacious and bright, but there was a stench of cold smoke, and heavy wear and tear would call for an overhall some time soon. The person, who welcomed me after some time's wait in an unmanned reception was very friendly but spoke next to no English.

First of all, the image of a rooftop dining place overlooking Istanbul, which this property puts on booking.com to attract customers has absolutely nothing to do with it. The space in the image is a fish restaurant located in the same building, where you can book a table just like any other member of the general public. Before my arrival, this place was pestering me with messages trying to sell overpriced airport transfer, but they did not have enough time to note my time of arrival, which I had stated already at the time of booking. The asked for this information again. Basically, everything was a bit worn, but seemed clean enough. There was a smell of smoke. Functionally, I was missing a small desk and a suitcase rack, both of which would easily fit in the strangely empty bedroom. I stayed here several days and the reception was unmanned everytime I left and got back. The same applied to my check-in and check-out. I had agreed upon a specific check-out time and had asked for assistance with finding a taxi to the airport bus terminal. However I found the reception empty - again. Later the receptionist claimed he/she had been looking for me, when I was in fact just sitting right in front of the main entrance trying to organise transport myself on my mobile phone, i.e. bogus statement. The staff's language skills are poor and the lack of accurancy of their work is dire. Certainly not recommended.

The room was clean and spacious, with all the amenities I needed. The owner and staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the location was perfect. Highly recommended!

Great place, nice neighborhood, felt very safe. 10 min walk to Taksim. Grocery stores, restaurants, breakfast cafes all around the place. Very helpful host and cleaning ladies.

There where no frying pan, not enough cups and other kitchen utensils for 4 people, but the host provided us with it on request. It can be very loud in the night with open windows due to many coffee shops around, so if you are a light sleeper, be aware. Only 2 chairs for table in the kitchen and apartment is for 4 people.

Staff are very customer-oriented. They heard my requests and tried to solve any issue I found.

I had a very heavy smoker as neighbor and could not even sleep this evening as in the entire floor was impossible to breath. Smokers are allowed unfortunately.

We were disappointed with the room were given at first as it didn't have the facilities we were expecting and needed for our near 6 week stay. However the next day we asked if we could be moved to a more appropriate room with full kitchen, washing machine etc. This is when we met the recently appointed Assistant Manager/Customer Service person, Kübra. She was a gem, highly professional, customer service orientated and a delight to deal with. She showed us other rooms and we selected a Family room. Kübra sorted everything out with things which were missing from the room, such as more kitchen equipment etc and made our stay splendid, truly comfortable and very warm in the Istanbul winter. The apartment is in a great location with plenty of cafes, restaurants and bars close-by, Cihangir is a very buzzy and friendly neighbourhood and very safe. If Kübra wasn't there to look after us in such a professional way, I think we would have moved out of the hotel. Long may the Hotel management ensure she continues her excellent customer service work at Cihangir Residence.

In the booking period communications with the Manager of the property were very bad and messages sent via Booking.com to the property were either answered very late or not at all. Cihangir Residence appears to be going through a stage of renovations especially with the 'penthouse' restaurant and this did cause some frustration. It feels like the restaurant overwhelms the hotel side of the business despite the apparent lack of customers at the ground floor and our door cafe. The one lift in the property frequently seems to be in demand from restaurant staff moving food and supplies from the storeroom and kitchen in the basement to the penthouse restaurant. But that's life I suppose.

The hotel has an amazing position. It is the third time here in this hotel. The concierge Ahmet solved all my transportation problems, that about reservations in restaurants.

We loved loved loved did I say loved? The location!!! It was walking distance to everything we wanted to see and explore. Mind you we love walking so it was ideal! About 15 min walk to the harbour, about 30min to the part with the popular mosques and 10-15 min walk to Istambul’s Oxford Street ;) we went there in December and the temperatures were mild/cold but the property was so warm mmm cosy. The room we stayed at (#10) was very quiet, we couldn’t even hear Imams’ calling for prayers. Everyone was very helpful especially Ahmed! If you want something done, he is the man (always available on WhatsApp). Would definitely go back there in a blink of an eye.

Not too many staff members spoke English :( Ahmed was amazing and it made our trip so much easier 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 there is a restaurant on top floor which is great, however, mind you if you are a light sleeper, you will hear the guests walking down the stairs and talking while leaving the restaurant at night hours (unless they opt to take the lift)

Great location within walking distance of many cafes and restaurants, walking distance to Galataport and the tram stop there. The trams will take you everywhere. The apartment was clean when we got there and and as it was our honeymoon, the room had been decorated very nicely (at a cost). It was generally very well equipped with kettle, oven, hob, washing machine and furnished well, however lacks in kitchen utensils. The apartment is in the same building as a seafood restaurant, so it’s very nice to have the option to eat there also on your stay if you like that kind of food, however it is on the pricier side. Very nice area to stay in, we would recommend.

We generally had a great stay while we were there, HOWEVER once we had left we were shocked that cihangir residences were trying to CHARGE us 200 euros for their damaged flooring in the kitchen area that had quite clearly been damaged previously. We also had a leak on the last day and we made the host aware of this and he said he had booked an engineer, THEREFORE to then try and charge us after being nice and understanding to our faces was to be honest SHOCKING, POOR ON THEIR PART AND VERY DISHONEST. We asked the host if the toilet rolls and towels would be changed or do we need to wash towels and buy toilet rolls ourselves, he said they will do it (and on many days this was not done) therefore it’s annoying when it’s then not done and you have to keep asking. In need of another 1 or 2 saucepans/frying pans and needs sharp cutting knives as there were none and it made it very difficult for us to cook.
