The hot water supply took some time to heat but fine once we had worked it out

The photos and descriptions of the apartment were exactly correct. No surprises. If was lovely and quiet. Well appointed.

Host Dave lives upstairs and is very helpful. Comfortable bed, good sound insulation, spacious and beautifully decorated with high ceilings. Netflix available on TV. Convenient location within walking distance of the old town, restaurants and supermarket and 1 minute to bus stop for train station, airport, Keukenhof Gardens etc.

There is no dedicated bathroom; the toilet and shower are in cubicles off an unheated corridor but this is not a major problem for a short stay. The lights are on a motion sensor and the toilet one goes off after 30 seconds - lots of arm waving required to stay lit. We made Dave aware and he is looking into adjusting the timing. The insulated windows mean you can't open them for ventilation at night. There is no hob which we were told is due to regulations but otherwise the kitchen is well equipped.

Great location, tastefully refurbished. Lots of space, everything need is inside, the building has a good size garden that leads to the canal. There are many restaurants and cafes in the area. Haarlem is just lovely.

Location. The apartment was clean with lovely furnishings. Garden area was great. Welcoming host with complimentary wine and snacks.

The common area is shared with owners, i.e., the area housing the toilet and shower is easily accessible by owners between 10am to 9pm. As is the kitchenette area. Its used as a walkway to get to the garden area. Toilet is very tight space. Leg touches the main door when seated. Not ideal for even for me of average height and it was uncomfortable. Check out time is 11am, however . I made an error in advising check out at 8am hence ,change in plans and an oversight by me, decided to leave at a later time 9.30am. Advised owner leaving at 9.30am when it became an issue with the owner as he advised needed to get cleaners in for next guest checking in early at 11am! ! I was asked if we could leave at 9am to cater for cleaning. Whilst I did point out check out per website is 11am , we did leave early at 9am. So a good stay was overshadowed by the Check-out debacle!

The apartment was far larger and beautiful than it looked in the photographs. The couch was incredibly comfortable. It was so easy to walk to everything we needed - groceries, train etc.

I was a little surprised that the kitchen did not have a stove. I understand that this was because of regulations and during the stay I wasn't trying to cook beyond oatmeal in the morning for breakfast. The kitchen was well equipped with everything else.

This is a stylish apartment, tastefully furnished and decorated, in a convenient location for visiting. Our host Dave was very friendly and attentive to our needs.

Lovely location, beautiful property! Close to seamless bus stop to airport. Close to free overnight public bike storage, botermarkt, and groceries. Right on the canal, beautiful garden in the back! Spacious apartment with very high ceilings.

On a busy road, unable to open noise insulated windows for fresh air at night, might not be ideal for noise sensitive. That said, the owner has made great effort to sound insulate and once inside one does not notice/hear traffic. Heating room to room is a bit finicky, there is little to no heat in the shower/toilet area. The government in the Netherlands does not allow cooking in tourist rental accommodation, I was told by Dave, so cooking is limited to microwave and an egg cooker provided by the owner.

Duvet was rather heavy for Springtime. The toilet room was rather cramped.

The attention to detail from Dave, the property owner, is excellent. He is very thoughtful and a fantastic host. The property is located in a very good spot, you are near to everything and everywhere. There is public transport within a minute’s walk, and so are the shops. The property is spacious, there is a high quality bed, the heating is always at a comfortable level, and the kitchen is well equipped. In short, this is a prime location and would recommend staying there.

The cleanliness, neatness of the apartment. Well equipped and stylish decor - just made me feel like I was at home. Dave was really kind while also mindful of giving us space to enjoy a peaceful time - Thank you.

It would have been ideal to have had a washer/dryer.
