Fontainas Apartments

Good location, quiet area, host very attentive. Nice set of kitchen supplies, coffee machine, sandwich grill etc. Nice to have the possibility to have breakfast/ evening snack “at home”. 2 bottle of water were left for us at our arrival which was very welcome. Good air conditioning. Good lighting, and proper bedside lamps. Everything we needed! Would most likely stay here again!

Minor things like the bathroom door being a bit difficult to shut, and maybe an extra pillow :)

Fontainas Apartment (Bruselas): Ubicación excelente con algunos detalles a mejorar ​Valoración general Una estancia agradable en líneas generales, ideal si buscas una ubicación inmejorable para moverte a pie por Bruselas. El apartamento es exactamente igual a lo que se muestra en las fotografías, aunque tiene pequeños fallos de mantenimiento y un par de incomodidades que conviene tener en cuenta antes de reservar. ​Lo mejor ​Ubicación estratégica: A muy pocos metros del centro histórico, conectado directamente por un bulevar principal. Cuenta con paradas de metro y autobús a apenas 150 metros. ​Equipamiento: La cocina es pequeña pero funcional, equipada con todo lo necesario para unos días. Dispone de un split de aire acondicionado con bomba de calor (aunque no hizo falta usarlo por la buena temperatura). ​Descanso: La cama y las almohadas son lo suficientemente cómodas para garantizar un buen descanso tras patear la ciudad. ​​¿Merece la pena? Si tu prioridad es la localización para recorrer la ciudad cómodamente y no te importan las escaleras exigentes ni un baño de dimensiones ajustadas, cumple su función correctamente. Con un poco más de atención en el mantenimiento por parte del propietario, ganaría enteros.

Puntos a mejorar ​El baño y el agua caliente: El baño es reducido. El lavabo es extremadamente pequeño y el grifo está suelto, al punto de ser más cómodo lavarse la cara en el fregadero de la cocina. Además, el agua caliente sale templada y con muy poca presión, probablemente por la configuración del termo eléctrico (mientras que el agua fría sale con mucha fuerza). Puede ser un inconveniente serio en invierno. ​Acceso y mantenimiento: Las escaleras de entrada son muy estrechas, empinadas y algo peligrosas; subirlas con maletas pesadas requiere ir con bastante cuidado. También se notan ciertos descuidos menores, como la tapa del váter suelta por un tornillo.

Die sehr gute Lage, ALLES quasi fußläufig erreichbar! Die Ausstattung des Apartments ist auch okay! Trotz der zentralen Lage war es eigentlich relativ ruhig.

Der nicht saubere Eingangsbereich, täglich Taubendreck!! Besonders bemerkenswert ist, dass wir seit dem 1.Tag nicht warm duschen konnten, und offensichtlich insgesamt 3 Handwerker- Besuche nötig waren, um dieses Wasserproblem zu lösen! Erst Sonntag im Laufe des Tages hatten wir wieder warmes Wasser! ,

Fontainas Apartments is in a convenient location. Though it may seem sketchy when you first arrive, it is literally a 3 min walk until to get the some pedestrian streets full of restaurants and hip youngsters, then you walk a little more and you are near most of the main attractions in Brussels, such as the Grand Place. Central and South train stations are 15-20 min walk away and there is a subway/metro station 2 min walk away. Kitchen is equipped and facilities are all provided. We were 3 people so we had a double bed and sofa bed however the apartment was spacious enough for our luggage etc. The host is easily contactable via Whatsapp and responded when we had questions.

As advertised, the building has 3 floors (but 6 flights of stairs). We were on the third floor and had to take our luggage up the very narrow staircases. Might be a good idea to ask which floor you will be on before you book if you are not ready for this. Also be aware that the washing machine is a shared one for all apartments located on the ground floor, not in each unit as listed on booking.com. Kitchen utensils were a little dirty when we arrived and kettle had limescale in it, we spent a bit of time washing these before use. Finally, the shower pressure in our apartment was terrible! I mentioned this to the host and he did say they would attend to it but alas it was not fixed. I mentioned it again before we checked out so hopefully the owner was able to fix this for the next occupants. Good luck!

Wir hatten das Appartement im 5. Stock mit Gibeldecke, rustikalem Balken und altern Sichtmauer. Sehr chic. Sauber, ansprechend eingerichtet. Zentrale Lage

Die Treppe in den 5. Stock war doch etwas abenteuerlich. Für ältere Personen oder solche mit Geheinschränkung nicht zu empfehlen. Trotz des 5. Stockwerkes - Aussicht nur bis zu den nächsten Häuserfassaden

La casa era molto carina e moderna e la posizione centrale(anche se in un vicolo poco frequentato). La cucina in particolare era molto spaziosa. Al pian terreno vi era anche una lavatrice e un ferro da stiro(comodi per chi ha necessità).

La casa era abbastanza pulita ma poteva esserlo di piú,in particolare vi erano delle ciotole nelle mensole superiori che erano sporche e incrostate(probabilmente non venivano usate da molto),questa è stata però l’unica cosa negativa del nostro soggiorno.

The building has been split into too many apartments to maximise income. The leading photos show a bright, airy apartment with high ceilings and plenty of space. On the booking confirmation email and the Booking.com “Rate Fontainas Apartments”, the lead photos are absolutely nothing like the apartment that I was given. It is gross misrepresentation. There are 47 photos and Apartment 4 is shown only in the FINAL 6 photos. The apartments are not all the same quality and should be listed separately. Apartment 4 is on the third floor (5 flights of stairs) with no elevator, which was only advised 1 week before the stay. You enter Apartment 4 into a small kitchen area with a very steep spiral staircase leading up to the bedroom area. The sink upstairs was too small to use without spilling water onto the floor, which is at the very top of the stairs. The shower is next to the sink, again at the top of the stairs, exactly where water is going to end up on the hard floor. A dangerous slip hazard. If that wasn’t dangerous enough, the staircase handrail as approached from the bed area tapers sharply downwards so that one could very easily fall down the steep spiral staircase. There is no protection, since the handrail in that area is around knee height for my 8 year old son, which is quite extraordinary. Furthermore, the stairs coming down from the bedroom were all at different heights, making it even more likely that you will fall. Head height was severely restricted and when the Velux window was open, it was difficult not to bump into it with a head or other body part since it was so low. We could not sleep with the window open due to the security risk since the roof was shared with, and accessible by, many others. Guests with any sort of frailty or small children should avoid at all costs. The safety concerns are unforgivable.

Location was great. In the center of everything. Stairs little bit steep for elderly. Can be communicated better or on booking. Com.

Somente a localização.

Sou bem experiente no Airbnb. Já o usei em várias cidades da Europa e do Brasil. Sempre avalio bem o anúncio e também os comentários. Porém não consegui perceber, ao reservar, que para chegar no apartamento, tinham 5 lances de escada e, ao entrar no apartamento chegava-se à cozinha. Para ir para o quarto e banheiro, tinha que subir uma escada caracol. Além disso tudo, o quarto tinha um formato de chalé, bem baixo nas laterais, o que fazia com que eu e minha esposa andássemos curvados pra não bater a cabeça. Já temos 67 anos, imaginem o desconforto....Descobri no segundo dia que apartamento do primeiro anadar estava vago e solicitei ao proprietário uma troca, que foi negada alegando política do Booking. Não recomendo nem para quem seja jovem, pois ter que subir e descer 6 lances de escada toda hora que tiver que sair e voltar, não é para qualquer um.

El piso esta impecable, es amplio y tiene todo lo que necesitas. La cocina está totalmente equipada, al igual que el baño. La chica del apartamento es muy atenta y agradable.

Beautiful apartment with great location! The host was very considerate and honest, with quick responses to every questions we had. He was very kind, and we appreciate it a lot!

The water in the shower was not very hot but since it was summer, it was ok. Nothing that made it a bad stay.

A nice place to stay in Brussels. Not a central location, but also not too far. I'd say it is within an easy walking distance to key attrations, and it is rather well communicated by public transport. A decent-sized room, quite modern and new, with a well-equipped kitchenette, and a small bathroom. The bed was rather hard = comfortable for us. We liked that the neighbourhood was rather quiet, which was mainly due to not-too-central location (so, an asset, I'd say). The A/C was a life-saver, given the July heat wave we got when in Brussels.

The flat is on a second floor and the stairs are nice, renowated uncovered wood, but kind of steep and narrow, so anyone with reduced mobility/ small kids/ bulky luggage should take that into account. The view from the window is currently not too attractive, as it fives on a construction site (nothing was happening there, just an empty lot after a demolished building). As it is often in those rental flats, the bathroom was small with not too much space for comfortably keeping your stuff, like cosmetics or clothes to put on. Hated the tiny table top basin. Those are just never practical. How invented this stuff? It just looks nice. Please, get rid of it when renovating the bathroom in the future. :)

the bathroom flooded three times and I only stayed there 2 nights. owner sent someone out to fix it and it still leaked again, this time the water was black. if I wanted to use the toilet, my feet were submerged in water. also I was on my own but if you are travelling with a partner, the double bed is very small.

The place is even better as in the pictures. Very clean, all that you need for a longer stay. Nicky was helpful and attentive. Location is quiet and in the walking distance to the old center, and to the train station.

It was extremely hot in Brussels during our stay (not our host's fault). Due to the apartment being on the top floor, it was close to 40 degrees inside when we returned at the end of each day. It took 4 hours or more for the air conditioner to bring the temperature down. It might have helped to have a shade or curtain on the kitchen window to block the sun. Perhaps it wouldn't have been so hot inside had there been one. The bathroom door is warped and wouldn't close properly. Not a big problem for us, but something to be aware of. The handle to the entrance door needs some repair. It worked fine, but seemed like it might break at any moment.

Convenient location. The photos weren't specific to the rooms, so mine was 4th floor, small, with a little spiral staircase to the bed and bathroom. Has the basics, as listed! Great price, very workable cooking wise! Quick response on e-mails too!

Laundry was shared on the ground floor, so not really in the room. 4 floors down. Worked out ok, so much appreciated.

Spacious apartment, with a kitchen and washing facilities. This place has everything you need for your stay, and has that homey charm that hotels don't have. Its also in a great location for restaurants, public transport, supermarkets etc. and a short walk to the centre of town. Loved it.

The pillows weren't very comfy and there wasn't really soundproofing. You will hear every conversation of passerbys and the neighbour's upstairs every move. Be mindful if you're a light sleeper.

Das Apartment war sehr sauber und mit allem nötigen ausgestattet. Entspricht den Bildern. Obwohl sehr zentral relativ ruhig. Die Lage ist perfekt um alle Sehenswürdigkeiten zu Fuss zu erkunden. Ein Parkhaus gibt es ganz in der Nähe. Durch die vielen Einbahnstraßen war es etwas schwierig das Apartment zu finden.

Dass man im Eingangsbereich durch Pfützen gehen musste.

Le logement est efficace et raisonnable dans son prix. C'est propre et chaleureux.

La vue non dégagée du studio en RDC & le système de code n'est au final pas très fluide pour les allées et venues.

Appartement idéalement situé à 15 mn à pied de la gare, à 10 mn de la Grand Place et du centre historique de Bruxelles, commerces de proximité. Bien équipé pour 2 personnes, mobilier fonctionnel, très lumineux, tout ce qu'il faut pour un petit séjour. Les informations d'entrée dans l'appartement communiquées par le propriétaires sont nettes et précises.

Proximité de l'appartement avec le local machine à laver et sèche linge ( malheureusement certains locataires des étages supérieurs utilisent ce matériel sans tenir compte du bruit occasionné et de l'heure à laquelle ils effectuent leurs lessives. Une porte isolant ce local de l'appartement numéro 1 serait sans doute utile.

le scale sono una delle poche pecche della struttura, sono molto strette e gli scalini piccoli, un po’ come in molti posti a bruxelles, ciò rende il posto adatto per lo più per persone giovani e con non troppe valige

Fuimos en durante el mes de diciembre y en general, hacia frío en el apartamento.

El espacio esta muy limpio y era super acogedor, fue genial para nuestra estancia. Nos dejaron preparadas dos aguas de bienvenida con galletitas y café para tomar a las mañanas. La cocina y la aceitera estaba muy bien equipada para cocinar. La televisión dispone de Netflix propio, cosa que nos encantó y agradecimos mucho. En general estuvimos muymuy bienn!

Quizá la única pega que podríamos encontrar es que se encuentra cerca de la periferia de la ciudad y en un par de calles te encuentras fuera del núcleo de esta, zona no muy recomendable para ir de noche. Pero nosotras no tuvimos ningún problema.

El alojamiento cumple con creces el objetivo, bien situado, a penas 5 minutos del centro caminando, y las instalaciones del apartamento bastante bien, renovadas y bastante cómoda la habitación y el apartamento.

Por poner alguna pega, las escaleras que dan acceso al apartamento son algo estrechas, y si vienes con maletas grandes y demás, puede ser algo complicado subirlas.

Lo que más nos gustó fue la ubicación, está en pleno centro. La ducha va muy bien y la cama es cómoda. Tiene aire acondicionado y calefactores por lo tanto estuvimos muy cómodas y no pasamos frío. El wifi va muy bien.

Cosas que pondría a mejorar: No tiene tostadora, algo que notamos bastante. Tampoco escoba, tienen una aspiradora en la planta baja común, pero teniendo en cuenta que estábamos en el último piso sin ascensor, era imposible subirla con tanto peso. Los trapos y bayetas de la cocina ni los podíamos utilizar de lo desgastados que estaban y la escobilla del 🚽 rota. Son pequeños detalles que marcarían la diferencia.

El espacio de la habitación

La limpieza, huele mucho a humedad y las sábanas no se veían limpias. La atención no fue muy buena.
