Reviewed Sep 11, 2026The location is good since it is only three minutes on foot from Leiden train station and the Bus Terminal. There are several supermarkets and many restaurants nearby. The staff in particular those at the reception are very helpful and friendly. It is also quiet since the hotel is on a side street and our room faces the inner courtyard.
It will be better to have a separate room air-conditioning since the room is relatively warm in August. Even though we have adjusted the temperature to -3 degrees, instead of 0, we have problems sleeping at night because of the heat! Also, it will be better to have a fridge and kettle in the room. We tried the breakfast but it is too expensive for the quality. Cleaning every three days is quite unacceptable. Fortunately, it is possible to request daily cleaning.

Het is wel gehorig op de slaapkamers omdat het natuurlijk een ouder huis is .

Because it’s a green hotel, no kettle and no minibar in my room. If you want a room with a kettle, it’s +15e. No minibars at all in any rooms. Well but there could be one for customers’ use in the reception area. A/C was also problematic

Wish they made up the room daily. We visited the desk for additional towels and teabags. We paid 30 euros to check in at noon instead of 3pm. It's the only hotel we have ever paid to have the room released to us early (we travel extensively.)

De prijs van de kamers was in verhouding tot wat je kreeg een beetje aan de hoge kant.

Frühstücksfoyer und Bar waren viel zu klimatisiert, es war richtig kalt dort, obwohl draußen angenehmer Temperaturen von 23-25° waren. Und man kann die Klimaanlage in den Zimmern nachts nur abschalten, wenn man ein Fenster öffnet. Da hinter dem Hotel aber ein lautes Brummen von der Technik die ganze Zeit zu hören war, war das auch keine Option.

One downside for us was that there are no family rooms for four people, so you always need to book multiple rooms. Parking is also a real challenge around the hotel limited spaces and expensive garages. The breakfast was good and well-prepared, exactly what you expect from a reliable city hotel.

Das Hotel ist nicht leicht sichtbar wenn man mit dem Auto anreist. Die öffentliche Parkgarage ist in 5 Gehminuten erreichbar und kostet extra. Wir wollten eine 2. Zimmerkarte, die wir nicht erhalten haben (angeblich war ein Engpass an Karten) und eine 2. Decke war auch nur schwer erhältlich.

Ogni occasione è buona per guadagnare di più: il check-in é alle 15:00 e anche se la camera è pronta ti fanno pagare 10€ per ogni ora di anticipo. Tu magari hai pagato 2 o 3mila euro, ma se arrivi un'ora prima devi dargli 10€ per entrare. Non mi era mai successo e la trovo una cosa da pezzenti. La pulizia viene fatta ogni 3 giorni, con la scusa del rispetto dell'ambiente: ok per il riutilizzo degli asciugamani, ma vorrei capire che problema crei all'ambiente se mi rifai il letto o mi svuoti la pattumiera.

Umwelt hin oder her finde ich es etwas mühsam, dass die Reinigung des Zimmers angemeldet werden muss. Auch mit den WC Rollen waren sie etwas sparsam. Ansonsten alles perfekt.

Es sistema de climatización de la habitación de difícil comprensión. No es normal que tengas que solicitar información sobre su funcionamiento, y ni así se comprende. Con lo fácil que sería seleccionar la temperatura que se desea, y ya está. Un hotel de esta categoría debería tener una mini nevera.

De accomodatie was goed, goed verzorgd en erg goed bevallen. Toch viel de prijs per nacht tegen. Ik betaalde meer dan 200 euro per kamer, per nacht. Hiervoor verwachtte ik wat meer luxe en verwennerij, denk ik... Ik miste een eigen parkeergelegenheid voor de auto. Ik heb nu dus 25 euro per dag betaald voor het parkeren van de auto. Het zou fijn zijn als het hotel een goedkopere optie zou aanbieden.

Het bed was heerlijk comfortabel, er was een fijne ruime regendouche en de hygiëne was voortreffelijk. Ik heb fantastisch geslapen! De locatie is ook top, direct naast het station en vrijwel in het centrum.

Reviewed Aug 17, 2026It is not communicated clearly that there is NO parking. meaning you have to go to external 3rd parties to pay for parking, you also have to carry you luggage from the parking garage to the hotel which is a challenge when you are impaired. When I called about it: the conversation had to go in English instead of dutch. Then i wanted to cancel and they said booking.com would not allow it. I called booking.com and they said the hotel determines the rules with regards to cancellation. So the hotel representative was lying to my face.

We didn't like that you have to pay for an early check in (we came like 1,5h before the official check in time and we had to wait until 3pm, in other hotels we've stayed in they always let us in the moment they had the room ready, sometimes even 5-6hours in advance :( Another minor thing was that our shower didnt drain properly and it smelled quite badly. However Once we let know the stuff they immediately resolved this issue so it was ok.

Reviewed Aug 7, 2026Personnel accueillant et serviable, jolies chambres avec des lits confortables et une bonne insonorisation. Hôtel très bien placé, à seulement quelques pas de la gare et proche de commerces.
Malgré une bonne insonorisation des chambres, le personnel d’entretien peut parfois parler très fort (voir crier) dans les couloirs, ce qui n’est pas très agréable quand on veut se reposer. Le petit-déjeuner était assez coûteux pour le nombre d’options proposées.

Reviewed Aug 4, 2026Excellent view of Molen De Valk from my room. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Easy walk to the train station and the centre of town. Friendly staff. Good bar and lounge area.
Late breakfast on the weekend can get a bit busy and guests were showing frustration over the coffee line. Another coffee machine would help this or go to breakfast early.

Petit déjeuner correct mais sans plus. Le prix est globalement élevé pour la chambre. Les chambres ne sont faites que tous les 3 jours...

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026The hotel is in a good location close to the city center and the railway station. It seemed to be fairly new and we'll kept.
The first night there was a false fire alarm, it was a bit hard to get out of the bed and move to the street at 1 AM. But then it has been fairly quickly cleared and we could go back to the rooms and bed.

Reviewed Aug 2, 2026Posizione comoda, noi eravamo con le bici ed abbiamo trovato un parcheggio custodito, gratuito, alle spalle della struttura. Camere nuove, pulite, macchinetta per caffè e bollitore in camera.
Struttura molto grande, abbiamo dovuto fare i km per raggiungere la camera. Noi avevamo due camere e per una delle due la chiave elettronica non funzionava, abbiamo dovuto fare 3 volte avanti-indietro dalla reception per provare a risolvere il problema, che alla fine non é stato risolto, conseguenza non siamo più usciti dalla camera una volta che ci é stata aperta con il passe partout.

Het raam in de kamer kon enkel op kipstand en dat was zeer weing vond ik..

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026Niet Anne-Marie maar haar moeder heeft bij jullie gelogeerd. Ik kon geen kamer online boeken omdat ik geen creditkaart meer heb . Dit vind ik wel een minpuntje. EenIedereen was zeer vriendelijk en bod overal hulp bij aan. Gelukkig had ik die niet nodig. Het ontbijt was voor mij voldoende.
Een kamer reserveren. Was te omslachtig.

Reviewed Jul 25, 2026Die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Von hier kann man die Stadt erkunden und ist nah am Bahnhof, wenn es etwas weiter weg gehen soll. Das Personal, sowohl bei Check-in, als auch beim Frühstück ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich.
Im Zimmer gibt es leider keinen Wasserkocher, was nicht dramatisch ist. Das Frühstück ist durchschnittlich.

Das Doppelbett ist nur 160 breit und man hat nur eine Decke für 2 Personen.
