Hotel pulito. Camera molto spaziosa. Ci sono a disposizione molti asciugamani, anche per la piscina. Ogni giorno viene fornita acqua in bottiglia in camera. Colazione buona e abbondante.

Personale gentile, ma non espansivo come altri posti dove abbiamo alloggiato.

La chambre était très jolie et très propre ! Piscine chaude et super mignonne, tout est bien décoré avec beaucoup de goût et de plantes ! Emplacement en bord de mer (100m) Très bon petit déjeuner et copieux. Le personnel était adorable !

Le déjeuner et dîner ne sont pas servis mais un restaurant en face est très bon ! Juste à côté.

Très bonne surprise ! Le logement était même mieux que ce que nous imaginions, et parfaitement conforme à la description. Hôtel extremement charmant Le personnel a été très gentil, accueillant et serviable. Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour et recommandons cet établissement sans hésitation.

Beautiful room and property Lovely pool Great breakfast Staff were excellent

We were there during low season, so it was really quiet and it felt like we had most of the place for ourselves. The staff was amazingly helpful and kind, especially the manager, the most receptive and efficient of all the hotels we stayed in in Sri Lanka. The hotel is beautiful inside and out. The pool and the greenery around it makes it feel like you're swimming in the jungle. Our room was freaking amazing, with high ceilings and 4-post beds, a dreamy terrace with sofa and chairs but the most amazing thing for us was the bathroom: modern and well-equipped first but when you turn your head to the shower you can see natural light and air pouring in from the ceiling (there actually an opening in the ceiling above the shower) and the side wall is full of plants, again it feels like you're taking the most relaxing shower in the jungle but with all the comforts of a high-end hotel.Breakfast is rich and healthy, with lots of fresh fruit, eggs, jam and toast, coconut pancakes and freshly made juices. They were also kind enough to let us stay in the pool after check out. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Just one tiny thing: the rooms are not very sound-proofed so sound travels a bit.

Die Unterkunft ist traumhaft schön! Es ist alles sehr liebevoll und künstlerisch gestaltet. Wenn man reinkommt wird man von einem tollen Honig-Nelken-Duft empfangen. Wir hatten einen schönen sehr großen Balkon von dem aus man Vögel, Streifenhörnchen und Äffchen beobachten konnte. Das Zimmer und das Badezimmer waren super hübsch im Kolonialstil und der Duschbereich mit offenem Himmel. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und hat sehr gut und frisch gerochen. Zu empfehlen ist auch der Laundry-Service. Das Frühstück war sehr großzügig und lecker. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr lieb und hilfsbereit. Wir würden jederzeit wiederkommen!!!

Een fantastisch verblijf en super vriendelijke mensen. De manager regelde een taxi naar de luchthaven tegen een heel schappelijke prijs. De buiten badkamer vonden we super!

Es war sehr sauber, Personal war sehr bemüht und ein kleines Paradies mit all den Pflanzen und wir konnten auch Affen sehen. Kann ich sehr empfehlen!

Aurora is such a lovely oasis from the hustle and bustle of Galle and Unawatuna. The staff were so lovely and accommodating. They took great care of us. The rooms were big and clean with nice features; LOVED the outside shower and bathroom. Breakfasts were big and delicious. The pool was nice but we didn’t get a chance to use it. We would love to come back here!

Booking üzerinden yaptığımız rezervasyonun ödemesini check-out sırasında ısrarla yerel para birimi (Sri Lanka Rupisi) üzerinden çekmeye çalıştılar. Kendi belirledikleri kur yüzünden bizden yaklaşık 21 USD daha fazla para çıkacaktı. Rezervasyonumuzun USD olduğunu, bu şekilde ödemek istediğimizi belirtmemize rağmen bizi ikna etmek için tam bir saat boyunca baskıcı ve çok itici bir tavırla direndiler. Kabul etmeyip hakkımızı arayınca en sonunda geri adım attılar. Ödeme yaparken çok dikkatli olun, haksız kur farkı ödemeyin. Ayrıca Otelin bizim için ayarladığı gece havalimanı transferi tam bir kabustu. Şoför inanılmaz acemiydi ve arabayı çok kötü kullandı. Yol boyunca sürekli şerit ihlali yaptı. Karanlıkta, havalimanına ulaşana kadar hem çok korktuk hem de çok yorulduk. Can güvenliğimizi riske atan bu kadar amatör bir şoförle çalışmaları kabul edilemez.

Wat een sfeervol boutique hotelletje op loopafstand van het strand. De kamer die wij hadden was werkelijk prachtig, met een hele fijne buiten badkamer en een goed werkende airco. Het zwembad lag een beetje in de schaduw waardoor hij niet super warm was, heel fijn. Het ontbijt was ook heerlijk met verse producten.

The shower had an interesting vibe with a rocky floor and stone pebbly plate that you stood on which was a bit uncomfortable on the feet.

I had a lovely stay here. The room was clean, comfortable, and beautifully designed, and the outdoor shower and the pool were real highlights. I wasn’t feeling well when I arrived, so I really appreciated how peaceful and relaxing the space was. The hotel is tucked away in a quieter area, but still close to the beach and an easy walk or tuk tuk to plenty of food options

Прекрасный отель с отличными номерами. Очень понравилось решение санузла под открытым небом с живыми цветами! Номер большой! Все продумано до мелочей. Удобные кровати! Классный балкон с креслами, столиком, также на нем можно посушить белье, стоит сушилка. Кондиционер отлично работает. Выдают пляжные полотенца. Район тихий, до пляжа 3 минуты ходьбы неспешным шагом Завтраки были очень сытными, вкусными. Отличное обслуживание! Персонал очень внимательный, за что огромное спасибо! Бассейн нам очень понравился. Глубина разная, есть где порезвиться детишкам и поплавать взрослым. На территорию отеля прибегают обезьянки. Не агрессивные и не наглые, очень милые. Видели варана, бурундуков и экзотических птиц. На территории очень много зелени. Отель очень уютный, не из дешевых, но он стоит того! Однозначно, что вернёмся ещё!!!

In two weeks travelling around Sri Lanka this was our favourite accomodation. The location is wonderful, not far from the main road and the beach but so quiet like being in an oasis. The rooms were gorgeous and so comfortable, and outdoor shower was amazing. The pool was fantastic and like a tropical resort surrounded with beautiful gardens. Breakfast was sensational and so large and filling. And the manager and her staff are exceptional in every way. They made us feel so welcomed and couldn't help us any more than they did and any small question or request was sorted out immediately with a smile. We'll definitely be staying here again next year when we return to Sri Lanka and staying longer when we do. Thank you for the happy memories.

Only that we didn't stay longer

The room was very nice and quite big. Air conditioning was working well, the room had a nice big balcony, too. Staff was very friendly. They prepared a gluten free breakfast for me, when I let them know about my intolerance. The place is very quite off the main road but still a short tuk tuk ride from everything.

The wifi was awful, only worked at specific points of the room but even that not all the time. Whichbwas an issue becuase service was also not great, mase ordering a taxi or just planning the day very hard. It would have been nice to have options for the breakfast and not have the same thing every day. No cleaning at all during my 3 nights. At least the trash should have been emptied out every day, my hand soap also ran out, refilling the bottled water would have also been nice. A bar or a restaurant with at least a few drink or snack options.

Das freie Badezimmer war toll, ebenso die Terrasse und die Größe des Zimmers. Der Pool ist auch sehr schön und die Unterkunft ist schön grün bewachsen. Zum Strand sind es wenige Gehminuten.

Die Klimaanlage war leider zu kalt und nicht regulierbar (ohne zu warm, mit zu kalt). Der Fernseher war kaputt und die Mitarbeiter schienen dies zu wissen, bemühten sich aber nicht, den Zustand zu ändern.

Absolutely everything. A lot of love, care and thought has been put into every aspect of the hotel. The lush greenery throughout the place made it a very calm and serene stay and the rooms were very clean and beautifully decorated. The beds were also big and comfy. We had a balcony room which was even better. Even though they informed us that there would be mosquitoes, we didn’t get bitten. The beds also had their own mosquito nets which helped a lot. The bathroom is also a treat for the eyes and wonderfully maintained with a mesh net above as it is an open shower. The whole stay had a very homely and warm feel because of the interior decorative pieces and elements that echoed Ceylon’s heritage. We also enjoyed our stay because of the staff who were very welcoming and accomodating. As part of the package, breakfast was included and each night they would ask us what we wanted the next day and they would endeavour to keep ready almost everything we requested. It is also conveniently located a small walk away from the main road.

Slight improvements would be helpful. If the lights in the rooms functioned on a dimmer it would’ve helped us they were quite dim especially at night. Breakfast service could do with a few improvements with communicating what items were not available because we waited for a quite a bit of time for them to get back to us. We then had to follow up and only then were we informed.

The flora, birdlife and garden design was lovely. The pool was private. Lush lanscaping. Room was beautiful.

Discrepancy over billing that noone can clarify. Eggs microwaved are awful.

Nice location with beautiful plants, friendly staff and comfortable and pretty rooms.

We had dirty bedsheets and in the bathroom there was mold on the sealing. Als there where dogs barking trough the night so we didn’t sleep much.

Nice breakfast. The hotel is calm and peaceful, and the room was beautiful.

Nous avons passé deux nuits un peu improvisées à cause d’une prolongation imprévue de notre séjour et cet hôtel a été une excellente surprise. En retrait de la plage (à 100 mètres à pied) et au calme, dans un jardin ombragé avec une belle piscine, l’hôtel est superbe avec de grandes chambres et de beaux balcons (ou terrasses au rez-de-chaussée). Le personnel est très accueillant, le petit déjeuner copieux et délicieux. Une adresse que je recommande fortement, également idéale pour visiter Galle Fort.

Beautiful grounds and building. Comfy beds. Lovely pool. Monkeys, iguanas and birds in the garden! Peaceful and quiet but only a 3 min walk to the beach.

A gorgeous oasis

Not able to have supper and Unawatuna felt like a tourist trap so we wished we had stayed in Galle.

Lovely room, although booked a second floor room and given a top floor room, ok for us as well and fit, good job we had no disabilities.

Not sure about the outsides showers, lots of bugs.

Det ligger i rolige omgivelser med masser af frodige planter 🌴 … Sengen god , tilpas størrelse værelse og fint badeværelse! Aber og andre dyr findes ved hotellet…. Meget venlig og hjælpsom personale, især Nero ! Kan klart anbefales! Dejligt med varieret morgenmad….

The hotel is modern and very clean. It has a nice outside shower and a pool to relax. Very peaceful place with a lovely garden.

The location could be better. Its a 15 min walk to unawatuna beach and the restaurants/bar street

Had a really great stay. The staff were super helpful and always ready to assist with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the pool was a nice bonus to relax. The room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely hotel in a quiet part of town, nice pool and great staff, everything was perfect, even arranged a birthday cake for my husband's birthday.

The room was on the first floor. The bathroom had a bathtub and was open at the top. Very nicely designed. The room was clean and beautiful.

Unfortunately, the hairdryer didn’t work. We reported it, but nothing was changed. The water in the pool was quite cloudy. We were there for two days, and during that time no one went into the water. We could understand why, because we also consciously decided not to go in.

Clean, friendly staff, nice pool, very nice beds.

La beauté de l'hébergement, très confortable, d'une propreté impeccable, bien équipé. Nous avons été très bien accueillies, l'endroit est très paisible, au calme et sécurisé, a proximité immédiate de la plage et de restaurants. Piscine et balcons très appréciables.

RAS. L'hébergement n'est pas à Gale, mais dans une ville balnéaire à côté.

The staff and especially the manager were simply outstanding. The accommodation is first class and stunning. Highly recommend.

Sehr schönes Hotel, äusserst gepflegt, tolles Freiluftbadezimmer, angenehm harte Betten, viel Holz. Wundervoll.

Obwohl man sehr bemüht war in jedem Zimmer einen eigenen Router zu setzen mit eigenem Wifi ist die Leistung zwar brauchbar aber meist äußerst bescheiden.

L’hôtel est sublime : la décoration des chambres, la salle de bain dedans/dehors… La literie est extrêmement confortable et les équipements sanitaires étaient les plus modernes que nous ayons eu durant notre séjour. Terrasse très agréable et à l’abri des regards. Le petit-déjeuner est fabuleux, un vrai régal chaque matin et très copieux. Le personnel était vraiment adorable. Nous avons adoré notre séjour à l’hôtel Aurora.

Malheureusement l’insonorisation n’est pas optimale et tous les matins nous avons été réveillés par les aboiements des chiens des voisins (rien de grave et ils n’y peuvent rien).

Wonderful staff, went out of there way to make sure I had a great stay. Great facilities, breakfast and lovely comfy room for with hot water that actually lasted. Ill be sure to stay here again if I return!

What a gorgeous and relaxing hotel. It is quiet and peaceful surrounded by greenery. It was beautifully designed and decorated, everything in the room was comfortable (bed, balcony, bathroom). The staff were helpful and very responsive (the wifi wasn't working adequately but it was fixed within hours). I can't wait to return!

I would have loved to have more Sri Lanka food options (including not only breakfast but maybe lunch/dinner). This is a minor point as I loved my stay immensely.

Cet hôtel est un petit bijou ! À quelques pas de la route principale mais sans le bruit, c'est une oasis de tranquillité. Les chambres sont belles, confortables, dotées d'une grande salle de bain à ciel ouvert (vraiment génial) et d'une grande terrasse de laquelle nous avons eu la chance d'assister au ballet des singes le matin, un beau souvenir déjà ! Le personnel est adorable de gentillesse, le petit déjeuner est délicieux avec, chaque jour, une proposition différente en plus des fruits, toasts et œufs. L'hôtel est d'une propreté remarquable et le ménage dans les chambres est parfait. Un petit bémol sur l'eau de la douche que nous n'avons pas toujours eue chaude mais la pression est, elle, très bonne. Enfin, ne pas se fier aux 3 étoiles, cet hôtel en vaut au moins une de plus. Si nous revenons au Sri Lanka, nous ferons une halte à Unawatuna rien que pour le plaisir de séjourner à nouveau à l'Aurora.

Amazing property and service. Located less than 5 minutes from the beach. Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was delicious and well thought out. They helped arrange transport from the airport and onward to our next location in Tangalle. The monkeys were amazing to see in the trees, and didn’t bother the guests at all.

The only reason it’s not a 10/10 is that it’s quite a hectic road to walk down from hotel to beach, but that’s fairly normal for this area.

The rooms and the pool area were even nicer than the pictures. The outdoor bathroom was a dream with great shower pressure and hot water as a bonus too! We had so much food included in the breakfast which was delicious! All the staff were so lovely and accomodating, then even let us use the pool area and store our bags for the day while we waited for our flight. Thankyou do an amazing stay :)
