Något man ska vara medveten om vad gäller detta boende är att man bor i ett hem medan ägaren och hans sambo fortfarande bor kvar där. På Google Maps kallas det Flemsöy hotel vilket ju är helt missvisande. När man kommer in blir man även varse att det finns en tredje familjemedlem att ta hänsyn till, nämligen en katt. Lukten av katturin gör sig gällande och tovor med katthår finns på mattor och möbler. Det finns ingen möjlighet att låsa rummen. När man går över golven utan skor känns golven klibbiga. Att det inte städats på länge blir uppenbart, då det i två av rummen finns en inte oansenlig förekomst av döda gråsuggor, varav en del hänger från hörnen i spindelväv. Vi är var 5 personer i vårt sällskap och en i sällskapet började gråta över synen i rummet. Även i köket är bänkytor, golv, spis och kylskåp smutsiga. I ett hörn står kattfoder som spritts över golvet. I hallen utanför finns bakom ett skynke kattlådan som inte tömts på länge och som ger stället dess speciella lukt. När vi kommer dit är ägaren ute på en 2 veckors semester i södra Europa. Det är ägarens bror som låser upp åt oss. Han vet att berätta att katten i fråga ibland även gör sina behov inomhus, men tyvärr utanför nämnda kattlåda. Möjligen är det resultatet av en sådan händelse som kan ses på ett ställe i gemensamhetsutrymmena. I anslutningen till denna lilla vätskepöl ses även en annan typ av insekt vilken vi inte lyckas artbestämma. Vi vänder oss med intresse till gästboken för att se hur andra hyresgäster har upplevt boendet. Där ser vi hur någon uppfinningsrik person dels har klippt bort vissa sidor och klistrat in andra. Vi anser att man som uthyrare inte lämnar en katt med tillhörande kattlåda i ett uthyrningsboende, både för kattens skull och med tanke på kattallergiker som ovetande skall hyra boendet. Vi kommer till stället på kvällen och klockan har passerat 19.30 när vi beslutar oss för att lämna. Vi bokar in oss på ett sommarhotell i Ålesund som är en folkhögskola. Där uppskattar

Bardzo bardzo polecam. Właściciele to mega ciepłe 'komfortowe' osoby. W domu niczego nie brakowało, łazienka, kuchnia, piekarnik, lodówka wszystko elegancko. Dodatkowo bardzo spokojna okolica, blisko plaża i trasy do spacerowania. No i jeszcze bardzo dobre wifi. Czułem się często lepiej niż u siebie w domu 😁

Że byłem tak krótko (no i opłat za drogi w Norwegii, ale to już nie wina właścicieli domu)

Lovely remote locations, welcoming and helpful hosts, nice views from kitchen and living areas. Decor bursting with character - in a great way.

Our GPS, Apple and Google maps didn’t pin point it perfectly. If you get to the dirt track you’ve gone a little too far :)

Marvellous place! On the doorstep of some incredible nature and mountain views, warm and homely place, and they even have a Jacuzzi. It was very cosy to stay with Anders and his partner, we had a lot of interesting conversations about all sorts of things and life on the island. They were kind and attentive to anything we might need, and their cat is very sweet.

Amazing views, kind people and wonderful experience. Owners are fantastic people, we enjoyed our time with nice conversations and everthing we needed and more. Great tracks around the property, option to use the jacuzzi, nice spots close to the building.

Tolle Lage, hübscher Strand in der Nähe. Guter Ausgangspunkt für Erkundungen der Inseln, aber auch bis Ålesund. Sehr nette und informative Betreuung vor Ort Wir wollten nur eine Nacht bleiben, haben aber wegen des guten und des schlechten Wetters 3mal verlängert.

Super location, beautiful landscape, a gorgeous beach nearby. Cozy, clean rooms, fully equipped kitchen and relax room with big TV. Very nice, helpful owner .

The host is very friendly. Jacuzzi was prepared for use and it was free of charge.

There was no mobile connection, but there was good free wifi.

Très bien accueilli, nous avions la maison pour nous seuls , la maison est situé au bord de la mer, magnifique à ne pas manquer.

Netīrība virtuvē, jo tā bija koplietošanā ar mājas saimniekiem. Dvieļi nebija mazgāti, tikai izžāvēti( vai mazgāti zemā temperatūrā)- nepatīkami oda.

Location was absolute dream. sea view with some tough winter storms:) definately coming back in sommer:)

Helpful owner, he cooked typical norwegian cod for us. There is everything important in the accommodation. Good spot for seeing aurora.

Very nice location near the sea. Family house feeling with beautiful views of sunset. Host is welcoming, can help with fishing and even fix a car if necessary.

A little lack of privacy, showering difficult in tub without curtain, was great for one night, but felt like we were in someone else's space

This hotel gave us everything we could need as a stop on our road trip. We could get some rest, wash our clothes, and charge our devices. The host was very friendly and helpful. A great place to stay for travelers touring the country!

Jack was a very pleasant host. As we were the only customers during that night, we had full "private" access to the entire facilities (jacuzzi, extremely large TV and excellent sound system, small fitness room, kitchen,...). Quiet like no other place, very comfortable beds. Kitchen is very well furnished, clearly stuffed by someone that uses it themselves. The amount of facilities is outstanding.

Access to the jacuzzi was janky, with no lights around or any "warm" path to access it. It's in a semi-outdoor veranda, unheated. As soon as you start using it, humidity builds up and it starts to rain inside :)

Beautiful place. There is everything for relaxation. Nearby there is a beautiful beach and the sea. Quiet and peaceful place. Friendly owners. If you have the opportunity to visit the islands and stay there for night, do it.

This is more a guest house than a hotel. It's a bit like staying at someone's home, with all the facilities available. Great kitchen and dining area, absolute calm, beautiful situation and easy to head off for a few hours walk. Beaches nearby for a swim. Host Jack was attentive and always ready with a solution to any problem..

The Island is beautiful. The location of this property is perfect. The seagulls squawking nearby and the smell of the sea air was amazing. The owner and his brother were entertaining, gracious and friendly. If you needed, anything they were quick to respond.

Rooms are rented out sharing common spaces. No breakfast offered. The restaurants and shops were closed when we got there. What was not advertised at the time , was a shared bathroom with 4 bedrooms sharing. I did not like that and would not have booked there if I knew. I told the owner. He quickly fixed that on booked.com. We only stayed one night because of that. Otherwise a beautiful island.

It wasn’t obvious that it was a room in a villa with shared facilities. Could have been a bit cleaner.

No shower, but larger bath with shower head (no bracket). No way to secure bedroom door.

The location although it's far away from the center of Ålesund but it's perfect place to stay with the nature and see it's calm and cozy .I have enjoy my staying in Flem and wish to be there again 😊

10 out of 10! Both, Hosts as well as accommodation were the highlights of our trip in Norway so far. We thoroughly recommend staying there if you are nearby. We have never felt more welcomed and at home in all of Norway. The island is beautiful, lots of nature and birds and walks. We’ll probably back soon!

A bit remote, but in a very outstanding place. The house has premium equipment.

I only stayed for one night but would have loved to stay longer. The owner was really friendly and recommended things to do in the area. There is a really nice beach quite close to the house.

The host Anders was so friendly & helpful. The space is great with kitchen & large lounge.

The only down side & this is nothing to do with the property, it is the very expensive toll bridge which you need to cross to get to this island & it is the only route. Apparently motorbikes are exempt from the toll charge.
