We have stayed here before with no complaints but love the refurbished rooms. Very very nice.

The newly renovated rooms. The restaurant specials on different nights and the buffet breakfast is good value for the price. Though some of the hot foods dont stay hot. But that happens everywhere

Location was great and amenities what we needed for a last minute stay.

No bottle water available to use to full the jug. Have to use water from the bathroom.

The location was excellent. Everything was excellent from the reception people to the restaurant staff. The meals and breakfast at the Angus restaurant were exceptional 😋. Being across the road for the shopping mall made it a great location. Room was clean and tidy and a good size.

The only thing I had a problem with was filling the jug in the room because it wouldn't fit under the tap in the bathroom.

Breakfast was very good, a great variety. Bed was so comfortable and room was lovely and warm when we arrived. The staff was very helpful,and was welcome by the resident parrot

Coffee at breakfast was cold but was sorted by staff.

Location across the road from the mall was great very convenient Good play area out the back for our tamariki and a table set up for birthday dining

More towels in the Bedroom (4 ppl in the room n only 2 towels) More pillows on each bed Toilets in the bar area not big enough for the large crowds Slow service to refill breakfast chaffing dishes, Need better bigger coffee pots n hot water facilities for tea station.. Monitor for large crowds = quicker refills All n all Food was good

Great location with plenty of rooms, parking onsite available. Our night staff lady was brilliant and very helpful & a lovely asset. The star of the show was the Parrot. Ideal for large groups of people as easily accommodated in the facility & if you don't have a car, no worries you can walk to the shops or catch the bus. Restaurant & Bar on site, so if you can't walk far that won't be an issue.

The lighting was funky in some of the rooms & questionable as it wasn't always logical, & some rooms had lights that did not work. My friend had no working lights in their room ?.But it does look like they are improving the facilities so next trip should be even better.

Handy location, food at the Angus was exceptional, bed was comfy

Was quite cold in the rooms with small electric portable fan heaters, and cleanliness let it down. Was alot of dust on the surfaces where the glasses were.

The staff were exceptional, friendly, and helpful throughout my stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and well-appointed, and I particularly appreciated the air conditioning given the cold weather. I was attending a conference at the Lower Hutt Events Centre and found the location perfect, just the right distance away for a refreshing walk to and from the venue, allowing me to clear my head between conference sessions.

The restaurant was the only slight disappointment during my stay. The staff were excellent, but I found the food didn't quite match the high standard of service. From reading other reviews, this may not be typical of the restaurant.

The cleaniness.

The t.v was hard to operate and every time you had a shower the alarm in the room went off.

All refurbished

Hard bed, no duvets an old blanket, sink was dirty. Ive been staying here for years before you changed owners and the worst experience ever. Debra was excellent friendly. New staff Asian guy at reception had the worse service ever will not be returning back sad really as it WAS a nice place.

We liked the hotel room it was a good sized room for what was paid . Receptionist was awesome

We didn't like the feel of the bed if felt to hard but everything else was awesome

My wife is gluten free and after asking they provided the appropriate food.

Location was great, right across the road from the mall. Easy to get around and parking was brilliant.

Central location in Lower Hutt

Overall tired appearance. Bathroom was refurbished and clean and tidy but the room meant to accommodate two people had only one ancient broken lounge chair to sit on plus desk chair. Windows single glazed and frame very draughty on a Wellington windy day. Common hallways needed a vacuuming. Bed had no electric blanket and room heating depended solely on an inefficient fin oil heater.

The staff are wonderful at The Angus. Very helpful and friendly. The newly upgraded room was nice too.

The bacon was crisp and tasty.

The scrambled egg was not very nice but the 2nd morning was better.We noticed on the continental display there was left overs from our function the night before.The cheese and meats were curled at the edges.Not a healthy option.

Air Con in the room 118 could have done with a manual. Settings were hard to work out. Could have asked reception.

Very quiet in the room. Very close to the mall, 2 minute walk and you are there. Easy on and off form the motorway.

Location, the event we attended was held in the hotel so suited us. Just loved the hospitality and helpfulness of the reception ladies.

Location was excellent, I like the fact that it was close to all the shops restaurants and bars and of course the Angus meals were kapai,it was easy walking distance to queensgate shopping mall, surprisingly the Angus was really quiet so we had a good sleep

I had my phone and computer plugged in to a double socket to charge, woke up in the morning and they were both flat, and yes the switches were on but no power.

It has plenty of car parks, a welcoming reception and restaurant team, comfortable spacious rooms, and quiet at night, and close to the mall and the greater shopping centre.

Receptionist Debra was really friendly and helpful. The property had free parking and just a couple of minutes walk across the road to Westfield mall.

I didn’t dislike anything really as I could see that the rooms are under going a revamp.

Comfy king size bed. Great shower. Good size room. Friendly staff. They checked us in early. Close to Queensgate shops and supermarket. Restaurant on site serves excellent food.

Nothing to complain about

Warm welcoming and helpful staff. Extremely comfortable bed. Despite the weather the facility temperature throughout was very comfortable. Not cold and not overheated.

The food. Rather disappointing. Dining room staff and surroundings great, but food not very well cooked, very limited menu-average to boring.

The decor is a little bit dated but it looks like significant refurbishment is underway.

The only issue for me was a very patchy wifi connection.

Comfortable room, quiet and private. Convenient location, Helpful and friendly staff. Restaurant was value for money.

So accommodating in terms of our extra needs. And very adaptable when our needs changed. It was originally just 1 room for two adults, then it changed to 2 rooms for 4 adults and a baby. Plus the coffees in the morning in the restaurant we're exceptional. I had two in a row they were that good. Plus the power points at the tables nearest the walls are such cool idea! I really needed to charge my phone while working and it was so very helpful.

The construction was a little bit annoying, but the plans to navigate them were explained well.
