Central location, clean room, great en-suite, tasty breakfast.
Great location for University graduation day and access to local amenities.
Very noisy bathroom fan and busy street noise.
Very well located for the train stations, restaurants, shops, the river and the cathedral; a very comfortable bed and a nice shower; very good breakfast with vegan options; very friendly, thoughtful and kind staff.
The internet connection was poor this time; I don’t usually have a problem. My key was difficult to remove from the lock on my door (room 28).
Great location just what we needed. Breakfast was lovely, staff were great and obliging.

Central location but...
It was very noisy in the room from the traffic
Nice room and lovely staff

Great location Value for money Delicious food Lovely staff Comfortable bed Clean room
Breakfast - good Reception -good Room & bathroom - tired, bathroom needs a complete re-fit.
Bathroom Lift to the upper f,oors
Posizione centralissima e edificio storico.
Location good, staff very friendly. Breakfast was excellent.
Had to park off site and work this out for myself, this was ok in the end as I parked in a city centre car park very close by. Some guidance on this would have been helpful as I did not know the location. This is very much a city centre pub and therefore was very noisy on a Saturday night, and as it was very hot, there was no avoiding this as I had to keep all the windows open.
Good food and location was excellent.
Nothing
The location was great, the staff were nice and hospitable. There was an iron present within the room.
There's a tear in the carpet. Not a massive deal. Just a very plain room. The bed sinks too much for my liking
The location was excellent for the cathedral and town. The staff were friendly. Lots of good breakfast options. Excellent value for money.
Decor a bit tired in places.
Good location. Good breakfasts.
This venue was booked by a relative following our marriage. We arrived and were treated exceptionally well with a complimentary bottle of fizz and a congratulations card. We were very impressed with the kindness of all. The stay, the breakfast and the location were all excellent.
Great facilities and very good pub food; better than what I expected.
Waiting time at breakfast was an issue. Staff chatting away without manning ghe station to check guest room numbers.
Location, close to the centre of the old town... the staff waited up for us to arrive. It was cosy, clean and what we needed after a long road trip... Given the heat, the room felt cooler than I expected... which was nice! The bed was very comfy; we both had a great night's sleep! Also, the parking close to the hotel was a blessing!
The Night Gate was a little difficult to use with one hand... and it would have been nice if the bar stayed open a bit later for drinks...
The location and the price
Room too hot No air-conditioning Thin walls
Loved all the staff..very friendly and helpful !!! Thankyou for looking after us so nicely
Stayed in a heatwave. Room 17 windows do not open where required...we were given another fan but the next evening was not so hot so all ok...tried to find somebody to talk to in the morning before going out but nobody was around only the chef it seemed..who was lovely too. We asked to change room when we got back in the afternoon (one with an opening window) however we were too late just booked out last room...shame there was nobody about in the morning albeit a great place to stay!!!
Quirky and great location with a four poster bed
The room 15 was good (watch step into en-suite), location fab, breakfast really good and good choice. Two fans in the room which helped a lot as I stayed during the heatwave

Location
Very small single - cooked breakfast not as good as previous visits
Excellent central location Kitchen staff were lovely
Room was a little ‘tired’ in decor. No A/C so it was a very warm night (heatwave!)
Old and relict inn with nice surroundings and easy to approach the cathedral and river walk. All essential basics in room also included.
Uneasy to navigate witbin the inn to find the room.
Ye Olde Talbot is located just over the road from Worcester Cathedral and on the edge of the main shopping areas of the city, so it's a great location if you want to see Worcester itself. It's a few hundred yards from Worcester Foregate Street railway station, but it's an easy walk past shops, restaurants, cafés, etc. The staff were pleasant and efficient. This is a historical building, so the floors are bowed and the walls are curved, which is all part of staying in a very old pub in a very old city in England. Lots of hot water in the shower. Everything in the bedroom and bathroom worked properly. Even though it's in the middle of the city, and a pub, it wasn't noisy late at night.
It's probably time to renovate the bath/shower - even though it all works and there's lots of hot water.
The bed was comfy. The shower was very good ..the drink making facilities where good .tv was ok big standard free view some channels didn't work...
There was a crack in the sink ..the steps to the bathroom carpet need repairing. Was a bit of a climbs a and walk to the room ...a bit of wallpaper was pealing amd split next to lamp .
昔ながらのパブに泊まれるという、あまりできない体験ができた。ベッドは清潔でした。シャワーは水圧があります。
部屋が暗すぎる、風通しが悪くて暑くて眠れない、お風呂の水が流れづらい
Location
Rooms were very tired and require refurbishing.
Excellent location, room was a little dated but clean and had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was amazing, loads of choice and great value for money.
Nice old fashioned hotel and bar that was very authentic
On busy main road
Convenient location, staff very friendly.
Dirty, smelly, hot. The second you walk past the reception it smells damp and old. The room was very warm and not cleaned well.
Cold shower!
Location
Dated decor and old carpets
Posizione super centrale
Moquette che odorava, bagno non proprio pulitissimo, letti piccoli per due persone
Great town centre location, it was very clean, staff friendly and helpful
It was noisier than I had expected, since the ground floor rooms are right on the same street as a few late night venues. Not super loud, but I heard people talking outside and cars driving past pretty much all night, and the rubbish trucks first thing
Central to the city, peaceful, proximity to the Cathedral and food / drink outlets. Tea and coffee facilities in the room which has a fan - useful in this heatwave.
Everything was spot on, no complaints
The room was in character with the establishment and it was very clean and comfortable. Nice bath with piping hot water was an added bonus! Plenty of beverage selections/hairdryer and top windows that opened fully allowing fresh air in.
Not necessary a complaint as it can't be helped ...Just a bit noisy throughout the night due to traffic, as room faced tat direction. However, i did have the windows open due to it being a warm day.
Great location
Parking
Very relaxed atmosphere , room was spacious ,

👍
A bit noisy Friday night
Brilliant location, clean comfortable room & friendly staff.
The bed was so comfortable and spacious.
It's a good location and the food was good
The place needs a refurbishment it's looking tied
Friendly staff, nice selection of beer , good food options, comfortable bed
The rooms could do with a make over and up dating , the room was far to hot even though the window was open and the fan was blowing . The plug socket at the end of the bed in room 18 was hanging out the wall .
Location
My Room in particular was hot all night every night 35-36degrees! When eventually I did tell them The night porter said, "yes, we know" Rooms 24 & 4 were just bearable, rooms 10 & 12 ere very warm but my room was hot. I took my heart bpm one night it was 111! Which was dangerously high They couldn't give me another room so I'm going to try and get some money back. Yes the weather was hot outside but everywhere else we went to visit had Air-conditioning. The only photos I will share are the ones showing the temperature in my room with the thermometer I bought for the occasion! 😡
Breakfast was very good. Area of hotel excellent
Na
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful.
All good.
Location
It was a bit run down
It did what it said on the tin
Wasnt in the old section room needs s bit of care n attention
Central and homely
No conditioning.
Very characterful place adjacent to the main Tudor street in Worcester likely also with Tudor origins and probably listed. Probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in. You have to watch your head on low beams though and the corridor plan on the first floor has to be memorised with care although that's part of the olde worlde experience.
You are not going to sleek modern facilities but they probably have to fit in with the historic character so that's what you get.
It was a lay over stay on our way to cornwall, perfect location. Staff was soo friendly, breakfast was tasty, even the dog had a sausage. Hotel room was standard, bed didnt feel big for 2 grown adults (double).
No air con in the room, it was very hot so we had the windows opened. The England match was on and it was late at night, it was very noisy with people shouting, not rhe hotels fault but dont expect a quiet night.
Excellent location
Like a rabbit warren
Staff were very friendly. Breakfast was very good.
Staff were ok
No air con
Great location, very friendly staff and really good food
Room was really not but it was 30 deg outside so no complaints
Member of staff helped me with my bags. Member of staff most unhelpful over early checkin. No chair in my room.
Member of staff most unhelpful over early check in No chair in my room Room pokey - too hot.
Staff were helpful. Bed was comfortable
The room was in need of some tlc The carpet was worn in places The toilet seat was broken
Good choice of breakfast and well cooked etc. Room was comfortable and handily placed for the stairs down to the breakfast room. I have stayed here frequently and it has always given me good satisfaction.
Hot water a bit scarce in the morning so had to boil kettle to shave. The hotel is expected to be sold soon, so prospective customers will need to bear this in mind. had rather longer to wait to be checked in than I'd have liked, especially as my train was late.
the room was clean, the staff were friendly
the room was boiling hot, and the window could not be opened. there was a small fan, but it did not come close to cooling the room down. Additionally, there was no toilet paper, which i think was an oversight, but the desk was not manned in the morning and so there was nobody to ask.
Everything was prefect..
Nothing
Breakfasts, both Full and Continental were very good. Bed was comfortable Shower was very good. Everything in the room worked and it was tidy and clean considering the age of the building (which was quaint, olde worlde) Decent bar. Tv was good. Good position in Worcester for exploring or going out for food/drink/entertainment. The staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient
Room was very, very warm at night and uncomfortable to sleep in. 2nd night i had to keep the fan on ALL NIGHT (is that safe?) That's even with the window open a bit which meant i had to open the double glazing and let in quite a bit of noise (in centre of town). Would probably provide as shower mat as standard
Friendly staff and good location
Appreciate it’s an old building so little can be done about the heat, but a few more things could have helped eg providing a sheet rather than a duvet and bottled water. Again, I understand some of this is the nature of the building, but soundproofing was really poor - sounded like the person in the adjacent room was in mine with me! There was something not quite right with the bathroom drains and the shower felt quite tired and not super comfortable.
The shower was very good and the staff were friendly!
The rooms were way too hot!!!
Location and staff. Nice enough room. Staff were very helpful.
Like most hotels, the windows dont open much. The heatwave was crazy. Fan provided but was no match for record breaking heatwave haha.
Nothing
Poorly kept, single room extremely small without any ventilation. Too hot for summers as there is no air conditioning.
The location and the food mainly The staff deserve special mention as they are so happy and want your stay together special
Can be noisy at night and the hot water is hit and miss at times
Great location
Bathroom needs updating
Good location for exploring city centre and cathedral and convenient for onward travel by by bus with bus stop only a few minutes walk away. Bed was very comfortable
Only complaint was the room was very warm although that’s influenced by current weather conditions.
Very enjoyable stay and would come back again
Nothing
Location. Excellent spread for breakfast.
Bed was uncomfortable. Room needed decorating. Bathroom was old and needed refurbishing.
Central location and the staff were very helpful, efficient and pleasant.
My room was quite noisy with music playing outside until about 11.45pm on Friday.
Only poor point was the quality of the bed which disapointed.
Great location, friendly staff
Building was a bit ‘tired’
Very central and easy
The authenticity & the history reflected.
Lovely building, lovely pub downstairs, great location, very central, very comfortable bed
A tiny bit frayed around the edges but didn’t affect my stay at all. Street outside noisy at times but it is a city centre
All of it Good food , excellent reception from the staff, and would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Nothing
The roo.m was clean and comfortable and the food was amazing.
