Reviewed Sep 14, 2026We had a wonderful time at Borneo Beach Villa and Suites and were completely satisfied with our stay. Our room was spacious, clean, and featured a fantastic view of the ocean. The location is excellent, as the beach is right there and it takes only about two minutes to walk to the water. We also really enjoyed the pleasant and clean swimming pool, as well as the great air conditioning in the room.The staff was incredibly friendly, attentive, and kind throughout our entire stay. When we requested a room change shortly after arrival, the team was extremely accommodating and moved us to another room within just 15 minutes without any issues. Furthermore, they were incredibly flexible: since our flight wasn't until midnight, they easily granted us a late check-out. If we ever return to Borneo, we will definitely stay here again.

Most of the lights, drainage is in poor condition.
View from unit 445 very nice at every time, Suns rice or Sunsets w'r cold at there.
Most of your staff. Every time we ask about a lost thing they're not responding to my asking..

BBQ pit broken
Disappointing stay – cleanliness and guest service need improvement
Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The Beach Villa had a broken sliding window, which caused loud noises around 1:45 AM due to the strong wind and disturbed our sleep.
The villa was also not properly cleaned. We found eyelashes on the glass, toothpaste/toothbrush left behind in the toilet area, and the floor was dirty and sticky. We even had to mop the floor ourselves after arriving.
The biggest concern was the guest assistance hours are only 8 AM–8 PM. If something happens after 8 PM, there is apparently no one available to assist. We reported the issues, but only received a response at 9:56 AM the next morning. The housekeeping manager came at 10:20 AM, apologized and left. We were later offered a 2 PM late check-out, but by then we had already checked out.
For the price paid, we expected much better cleanliness, maintenance and guest service. Unfortunately, this experience seriously affected our vacation.

It was the beachfront that got me to repeat the stay.
Villa 123 was infested with rodents. I have a video and photo proofs to show you. In fact, i caught one and left it in a cutout plastic bottle for the management’s attention. The rodents were running around on the couch and in the pantry. It was haphazard and unsafe for occupancy (rodent borne disease is no joke!). My family was unhappy and traumatised with the rodents’ presence in the unit. I reported this incident to the resort management and nothing was done (other than they claimed they sent their staff to inspect the unit on the 2nd day). Rodents were still running around on the 2nd night. We checked out first thing in the morning the next day. I’m not a happy camper! Booking.com should consider refunding this ruined hols.

Villa ini sebenarnya sempurna untuk didiami kecuali terdapat beberapa kelemahan seperti pintu yang menuju ke pool tidak dapat dibuka, terdapat cctv yang menuju ke kolam sepertinya tiada privasi, kerusi di patio luar pun hampir rosak

Their cafe / restaurant was not functional.
No water arrangement, broken window blinds, water leakage in bathrooms , Jacuzzi not working . Communication is a big problem.
If such things keep happening I will have to stop using Booking.Com , you are misleading customers again & again .

They asked for credit card details over WhatsApp. That's breaking standard safety rules. They asked to leave a good review for an extra hour stay. This is also breaking rules. Review manipulation is bad.

Some airconds are not working well. Need servicing. Jacuzzi nozzles not working very well. Some furniture and fittings are not cleaned and not working for example, the stand fan in the living room has not been cleaned for a long time. The sliding doors to the balcony is not working. The main entrance door need to be serviced

The beach is beautiful. The view from our balcony was good. The bathrooms were big and has a nice bathtub. The fridge was working. The aircon was cold.
The utensils were minimal. The pot was burnt. The exhaust fan didn't have a fan. The balcony was not clean. The bedsheets were crumbled. The beach had sandflies. The pool was congested. Many didn't wear proper swim suit not shower before entering the pool.

I also appreciated the privacy and the relaxing environment, which made the whole trip feel calm and enjoyable. The sunset view was amazing, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The facilities were well maintained, and overall it was a great place to unwind and spend quality time with family.

The property was in an unacceptable condition and not fit for rental:
1. Severe cleanliness failure. garbage bags left at the entrance, sandy floors, clogged sink and toilet upon arrival
2. Outdoor areas neglected, porch filled with rubbish (cigarette butts, plastics, fireworks), indicating no proper turnover cleaning
3. Pool unusable, dirty, murky water, clearly not maintained
4. Basic utilities not functioning – extremely low water pressure affecting shower and toilet use
5. Air conditioning failure, non-functioning AC combined with no ventilation (glass doors locked), making the unit hot and stuffy
6. Overall poor maintenance, the unit is rundown and clearly not prepared for guests
7. No recovery action, no alternative unit offered despite the condition
This is not a minor inconvenience. It’s a breakdown of basic hosting standards across cleanliness, maintenance, and guest safety/comfort.

The management gave us a very good upgrade as we were completely dissatisfied with our initially booked suite. The first accommodation was so unclean, moldy, foul-smelling, and simply not worth the money we paid, so we received a pool villa upon request. This one was considerably better, although still partly outdated and neglected.
Many areas were very outdated, in poor condition, partly dirty from the previous tenants, and the accommodation could use a restaurant or at least a cafe due to its very remote location.

I like the private pool and we are located at secluded area a bit
During our stay aircond leaking twice.. no more microwave or cafe attach to this area.. so a bit hassle la to find food. Of we go out from premises already time consuming and checkout time is at 11 am.. this is very dissapointing, knowing this is our favourite place before..
