Nice room, comfortable bed.Food was good in the evening. Staff pleasant and very helpful.

Breakfast was abysmal. Hubby had a cooked breakfast , waited 25 mins. Eggs under cooked,bacon over cooked, 1 tiny mushroom , beans congealed, no black pudding, toast was served on plate with breakfast but was just warm bread. Coffee tepid. I wanted a continental breakfast, no youghart, no fruit, no pastries , only bran flakes or cornflakes. Asked staff member if pastries would be replenished but was told no. Was offered a hot breakfast but declined as hubbys had arrived and looked greasy and didn't have time to wait another 25 mins. Did complain at check out, staff member pleasant and apologised but left hungry.

Well located pub/hotel. Friendly staff. Good quality pub food at dinner. New Forest surroundings with donkeys, cows and sheep going past the windows at meal time. Clean room, relaxing stay.

Breakfast could have been better in both staff numbers/direction they were given, and food quality - different to the evening meals which were good quality.

An ideal location for an overnight stopover on our journey from London to Dorset

Mattress was really thin and uncomfortable. I could feel the springs. Didn’t get much sleep. Breakfast on 2nd morning was tepid at best.

Room was as booked, comfortable bed, good water pressure, and quiet.

We stayed during the heatwave so it was hot, the fan helped but ultimately there's no match for air conditioning.

Evening meal was delicious , room was compact but nicely done. Was very warm - the bathroom seemed to have a heated floor in the summer?

Breakfast was over an hour to wait - when it was really quiet. When it arrived it had clearly been sat under a warmer and other guests were complaining. Breakfast was £19.95 each and it was a real disappointment

The staff were so warm, welcoming and accommodating. They really were amazing and I would happily recommend staying at the Bell Inn. The TV was large and fabulous, the bathroom had an awesome shower, nice tea and biscuits in the room. Food menu was excellent.

I found the twin bed mattresses very soft and uncomfortable (the bedding itself was lovely) and one of the headboards creaky but everything else was ideal

Dog friendly and everything on site - perfect for an overnight stay.

No air conditioning and it was very hot weather.

Fabulous room, garden room, windows to every aspect, exceptionally bright, but definitely needing aircon ! fan was in the room, but with extreme heat 🥵 Staff were attentive, breakfast took its time but nice, advised after ordering, no hash browns, tough for the vegetarian, but generally good !

Exceptional location, couldn't have been more perfectly situated for New Forest adventures or resting.

The latch on the window didn't work to secure it in an open position. We did a temporary fix with an orange stick but a new screw would make the room perfect.

Reception couldn’t find my room booking When Jim, who was fantastic, found the booking he took me to my allotted room and it was occupied?? He found me another room, a second fan and a bottle of ice cold water Jim and the staff on duty were superb and did everything to turn it round Just took a while to sort it all out.

On arrival greeted by friendly staff. Lovely location, good room, comfortable bed, huge TV, great shower. Comfortable bar . Superb breakfast and again really friendly happy gentleman looking after us. Will return.

The location was fine, on the outskirts of Southampton, a 20 minute drive away.

Apart from the waiters Luke and Raymond, the staff were unhelpful, lazy, arrogant and churlish, especially the reception staff who were more interested in talking amongst themselves rather than serving their customers. There were tiles missing off the shower wall, mould on the shower tray; the carpet was a trip hazard as it had come away from the bathroom door entrance; the double bed had a big lump down the middle so you either slept up hill or down hill depending on which side of the bed you tried to sleep; the evening food was disgusting and I had to wait 50 minutes for it even though I was the only one in the restaurant. Never again!

The staff were welcoming and attentive, the hotel layout was inviting and attractive, and the location was great.

Bed was uncomfortable as it was two twins with old, saggy mattresses creating a hard ridge down the middle. The TV system was poorly managed, and not easy to navigate; previous guests logged in on the system. The flowerbeds and pots were in need of attention. The bedroom was not clean: the fan in the bathroom and the rear of the TV were filthy. The room had seen better days.

The room was big and had a comfy super king bed and modern shower. The bedding and towels were nice and clean - shame about the rest of the room. The best thing about my stay were the staff, the ladies on reception, bar staff and the Scottish gentleman who was single-handedly running breakfast in the morning!

The room had a really unpleasant smell and it was difficult to open the windows. Everything just felt grotty and unloved. The bedside tables and desk felt sticky, the lamps flickered and looked cheap. The TV signal was poor. And I wish I hadn't noticed the radiators...🤢

Location was perfect. Staff friendly and very helpful. Great gym. Irish breakfast waiter was brilliant, funny and very amenable, even though we arrived on different days, to ouy surprise he realised and sat our party of 7 together.

Check in was very late and check out was very early. With some of our party arriving a little earlier than 3pm there wasn't even a discussion to let us know if the rooms could be available earlier. Personally, my only criticism is that after my room was refreshed it was left unlocked...

Located on the edge of The New 🌳 Forest, easy to find. Ample parking. Very clean, comfortable, perfectly maintained. Well organised, extremely warm atmosphere, welcoming staff going above and beyond to make guests comfortable and welcome. Delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A generally quiet location in the New Forest with easy access to the ferry at Poole within an hour’s drive. Well maintained and comfortable.

There was no running hot water for 3 days we were there. We complained and were told we would get a refund upon return home for the major inconvenience. When we got home, we were offered £26. Will never stay here again.

Location to Southampton as we stayed the night before a cruise. The breakfast was amazing. The scenery on the doorstep was beautiful too.

Very comfortable hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Excellent breakfast with lovely poached eggs expertly cooked. Nice to get a cafetiere in the room with ground coffee replaced daily. Great to have quality tea bags too, much appreciated.

We had a lovely stay at the Bell Inn. The staff were welcoming and professional. Our room was extremely clean and comfortable. We had an evening meal which was delicious. Breakfast next day was really good. Young man serving was very friendly and efficient. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The one beer I had was excellent as were the staff; all very happy to help! Everything was clean.

The room was tired and dated as was the bathroom. The bed was rather soft and the room was not what I expected, nor what I thought an AA four star would be. Breakfast was good in terms of presentation. However, there seemed to be no real flavour to the food nor the coffee.

Super easy check in and the rooms are all ground floor, suited our late arrival. Friendly staff and everything we needed for our stay.

The beds could have been more comfortable - particularly the hard pillows.
