We are very grateful to the receptionist named Karmacharya—he was incredibly helpful, especially when we wanted to send our luggage to our next hotel.

I am very disappointed with one of the female staff members (Indian) on duty on the morning of Saturday, September 5, 2026. When I asked about shipping luggage to another city, her response was unsatisfactory. Furthermore, when I asked for the name of the hotel staff member who had refused to accept our luggage—via the Booking.com inbox—there was no response.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tolles Hotel in perfekter Lage in Ueno Wir waren auch von diesem Hotel in Tokio-Ueno, dem Hotel Resol, schlicht begeistert und können es absolut weiterempfehlen. Natürlich sind die Zimmer in Tokio oftmals etwas kleiner, aber unser Zimmer war für uns vollkommen ausreichend. Trotz der überschaubaren Größe hatten wir keinerlei Probleme, alles unterzubringen. Unsere Koffer konnten wir beispielsweise problemlos unter dem Bett verstauen und haben alles gut organisiert bekommen. Das Zimmer war sauber, gemütlich und die Betten sehr bequem. Besonders positiv überrascht waren wir vom großen Badezimmer mit Badewanne. Wir haben die Möglichkeit tatsächlich jeden Tag genutzt und abends ein schönes Bad genommen. Ein echtes Highlight war für uns das kostenlose Buffet in der Lobby. Dort konnte man sich mit unglaublich vielen Dingen versorgen: Es gab eine große Auswahl an verschiedenen Teesorten, Kaffee und Snacks, aber auch zahlreiche Pflegeprodukte wie Badezusätze, Haarpflegeprodukte, Rasierer und vieles mehr. Es war wirklich erstaunlich, was alles kostenlos zur Verfügung stand. Außerdem konnte man sich dort kostenlos Suppe zubereiten. Es gab eine Maschine mit heißem Wasser und sechs verschiedene Suppen zur Auswahl. Besonders toll fanden wir auch die zwei kleinen Geräte zum Ausbacken von Snacks. Dort konnte man sich sowohl süße als auch herzhafte Snacks selbst frisch zubereiten. Die Sachen konnte man natürlich auch mit aufs Zimmer nehmen. Dort gab es einen Wasserkocher, sodass wir uns jederzeit Tee oder Kaffee zubereiten konnten. Zusätzlich gab es unten in der Lobby ebenfalls eine Maschine zur Zubereitung der Getränke. Auch das Hotelpersonal war ausgesprochen freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgehoben gefühlt. Besonders praktisch fanden wir den Service, dass man sein Gepäck vom Hotel aus zum nächsten Aufenthaltsort schicken lassen konnte.

Perfekte Lage innerhalb Tokyos und auch zum Flughafen Narita. Definitiv die kleinsten Zimmer während unserer gesamten Reise, aber alles sehr stylisch und sauber. Nette Mitarbeiter. Gutes Preis Leistungs Verhältnis. Auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen.

The air conditioner is right above the bed, so when we turn it on, the air blows directly on our faces and makes our noses feel uncomfortable.

Het inchecken en het personeel waren erg vriendelijk.

De kamers zijn kleiner dan geaverteerd. Er wordt ook beschreven dat het dichtbij de OV is. Wat ook klopt. Echter moet je nog wel een goede 20min a 25 min lopen naar de Skyliner. Dit is de perfecte hotel als je licht reist en vlak erna naar het airport moet. Met koffers is het best lastig om daar te komen. S'avonds hoor je echt wel veel geluid op de gangen.

部屋が清潔でした。複数日宿泊する際に、タオル類を外に出して交換してもらえるというシステムは気に入りました。ミネラルウォーターのサービスがあるのもよかったし、ドライヤーがリファだったりと、とても快適に過ごしました。

一階にセットしてあるパンやスープの提供が、もう少し早い時間からだとありがたいなと思います。

In der Nacht war es recht laut. Alle paar Sekunden war ein mechanisches Geräusch von außen zu hören. Das war recht unangenehm und ich konnte nur schlecht schlafen.

The room is small, but you expected that from a Tokyo hotel Technically you can still open two suitcases in the room, but after you opened them, the whole floor is used up The table and sitting area are also pretty small, so doing my skin routinue is pretty hard, pretty much has to do everything in the bed

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Resol Ueno and would happily stay here again. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help. The location is excellent, right next to Ueno Station, making it incredibly convenient to travel around Tokyo and very easy to reach directly from Narita Airport. It’s also within easy walking distance of Ameyoko Shopping Street, Ueno Park, museums, restaurants, and convenience stores. The hotel had great amenities, and the room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed for our stay. Despite being so close to the station, it was quiet and made for a great base to explore the city. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel with excellent service, an unbeatable location, and great value for money. We would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo.

I like almost everything. so, I could not say what I did not like. Just it would be nice if they have Vending machine and Self-service laundry machine.

The location of the hotel was great for exploring Ueno. The hotel had some great amenities including soups, breads, tea and coffee as well as your usual travel stuff including toothbrushes, hair brushes and tooth pastes all for free, available in the reception. My only criticism about this point was that the receptionist that checked us in didn’t mention this to us. It could’ve been a language barrier issue and I’m not saying that she had to explain it to us in English, however having some information cards or signs on display would fix this issue. Non the less we discovered this stuff a couple of days later. The room size was decent, a small size that’s standard for Japanese hotels. The cleanliness was ok, they cleaned the room only every 3rd day but gave us clean towels and a bottle of water each everyday.

Room cleaning was only carried out every 3rd day and there weren’t any clear signs telling us there was soups, breads, teas and coffee available next to the reception.

Small and comfortable hotel in a great location outside of Ueno train station. Our second stay at this hotel as it’s clean and quiet. Comfortable beds and quiet air conditioning. It’s small, but comfortable, clean and value for money.

Location is good, 10 minutes to Ueno Station. But for any restaurant, you should walk for at least 10 minutes. The room is too tiny, and you can not have enough space for your luggage. The bathroom is very clean and very comfortable.

The room is too small, and there is no window, which makes it very boring. You cannot have fresh air, only the air conditioning. There isn't a wardrobe in the room to store your clothes and belongings.

The staff is friendly, professional, and helpful.

It was pretty close to Ueno station to the Iriya Exit. Lawson is just across the street and there were several nearby konbini as well. The space in the room was bigger than most japanese inns or hotels.

It lacks some basic amenities like a laundry bag. The toilet also does not have a bathtub and there were not much rails or hooks to hang clothes. The toilet bidet was a bit faulty in my room, difficult to stop the bidet from spraying as the bidet remote control was unresponsive at times i needed to unplug them. Next is the washing machine. Guests could only use it from 7AM to 9PM and there were only 2 sets of washer and dryer available.

Really fantastic location close to the JR Ueno Station and the Ueno Kesei Skyliner Station. The room itself had everything we needed and was very tidy. They provide fresh towels and water each day and provide plenty of amenities down in the lobby for free (toothbrushes, moisturiser, bath salts, brushes, shaving razors etc). The room was on the smaller side, but that is expected of accommodation in Tokyo. The beds were very comfortable and we slept well every night. Overall our stay was fantastic. Highly recommend staying in Ueno as it is not as busy as Shinjuku and Shibuya. Good area to get away from the crowds.

I booked this having twice stayed in the Akihabara branch on previous occasions. Hotel Resol are an excellent option for staying in Tokyo, the rooms are modern and clean, everything is well looked after. The Ueno branch is a great location if you plan to explore central Tokyo. Will definitely bookmark for future trips.

The rooms are a little on the small side but it’s a good size for Tokyo.
