The Breakfast was as always fantastic, the chef here is great one of the best meals i have had in years in Plymouth and i stay in Plymouth and have done for 30+yrs Room very comfy, clean and relaxing. Never had the Dinner unfortunately but i am sure it to is great!!

Reception staff were very helpful but we were very disappointed that they were unsuccessful in returning our iPhone battery charger which we lf in our bedroom.

All staff very friendly and welcoming. Room great size and had all that needed. Breakfast was lovely and leisure facilities great too.

It was a last minute pit stop as we were camping but rain stop play so we booked here

We were in a room with no view ( not a problem usually but there was a disco directly under our room) loud music

Still being charged £12 for a kids meal that he wouldnt eat as they put pepper in it. After telling them he is particular and Autistic Cheesy pasta with black bits!

it was unaccepted the room very dirty they told us they would give the baby a bed but they didn’t have it so the baby have to sleep on the floor when he’s so dirty I have a picture and I can show. I really need more money back.

Sticky stair case hand rail, leadin to rooms urgh.. When eating in the bar, being handed missing fork by the eating part of the fork, who knows where his hsnds had been. Urgh...Actually the whole bar area was poor, doors open with tobacco smoke pouring in. Tables and chairs look like something from a greasy spoon cafe.

Very attentive and helpful staff. Good facilities especially the pool and spa area. Excellent breakfast. Our room was spacious and well decorated with a good view of the golf course. Hotel was quiet.

Sometimes it is difficult to find a parking space at the front of the hotel but no problems in the golfers car park which is slightly further away.

There was no fridge or tooth brush or paste. No socket close to bed and the fan connection was stressful .

Had a lovely member of staff in the bar on the Sunday evening so helpful and went out her way to help.

We loved the private and safe location with on-site parking, a golf course and spa facilities. The rooms were clean and a good size with everything we needed.

Nice room, the most comfy and enormous bed, the bathroom was clean and spacious with ample towels, all staff we came into contact with were lovely, smiley and helpful, the breakfast was delicious, the ladies who looked after everyone during breakfast worked really hard and were so friendly, plenty of parking available, tea, coffee and biscuits in the room, plenty of wardrobe space.

Facilities car parking, excellent leisure facilities with poor access time for guest at the hotel. Opening hours design to discourage guest. Hence, not many guest at the hotel use it. I would have to consider different location next time.

The desk in the room was hard to work in went meant we had to work in communal areas of the hotel which were busy.

Lovely setting just outside Plymouth and close to Dartmoor. Popular golf course and spa. Excellent evening meal, sitting at the outside dining area, overlooking the golf course.

The room was extremely hot, although there was an electric fan in the room.

Excellent facilities

The hotel is set in such beautiful grounds, it has a lovely modern outdoor patio area having a coffee in the morning looking out at the scenery was very relaxing. Arrived late and missed evening meal but the receptionist said we were welcome to order food in and eat it in the bar, they provided us plates and cutlery. Found that really helpful didn't want to drive back into town centre for food.

We had a ground floor room with no nets it didn't feel very private as people were walking past the window and could see into the room. Although the bathroom had frosted glass still didn't feel comfortable at night having a shower at night light on and no roller blind, the toilet was right next to the window had to open the window and put a bath towel up then close window to secure towel. That was our only grievance the hotel was lovely.

A beautiful hotel. The fitness facilities were wonderful. A bit hard to reach if you do not have a car, however, you can book a taxi.

The most friendly and helpful staff, from reception, dining, to housekeeping. Could not believe the size of the bedroom, no problem at all for wheelchair use. Bath and walk in shower. The food we had was excellent. Only booked two days, could have stayed much longer.

Minor points regarding wheelchair usage. Three doors on way to room, awkward for my disabled, if I wasn't with her. Movement from bar to outside patio, also a bit awkward due to the ridge at bottom of door. As I said very minor points, didn't retract from a beautiful hotel, definitely be back.

The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I have to say we were served by one of the most professional (and stunningly beautiful) young ladies it has ever been my privilege to experience (top marks go to the most appropriately named Honey) The pool and spa were well maintained and very relaxing

The temperature of the room (room 11) was far too hot and somewhat prohibited sleep. The hotel need to consider AC of some sort as the outside temperature was only 18-19 degrees at most but more like 35 in the room and the noisy fan was ineffective. Honestly, just a courtesy bottle of water would have been helpful… Minor oversight I think but an apple core and empty can were left in my dustbin which wasn’t a good start from a hygiene perspective- at least it wasn’t toe nail clippings or anything worse 🥴

Lovely food,

Rooms were very dated and hot, the cheap fan was on but did nothing to help even with the windows open.

Good choices for breakfast though less so for dinner with limited choice and repeat menus. We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of Elfordleigh and the moor nearby. A special mention must go to Daisy, Lynsey, Sam and Ann all of whom were quite superb.

Most of the staff were quite superb. Helpful, enthusiastic and clearly well motivated. There were however, two staff members that displayed considerably less of the attributes described above which is the reason for the earlier ratings. Additionally, they were members of the bar and dining room staff which ensured they were encountered more frequently than other members.

The wifi only works downstairs. I had to change my room because of this. But the second room was better, so that was good.

Spacious room and very clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views and grounds. Excellent parking.

Breakfast was cooked perfectly and dinner was excellent, room was large and clean.

Phone signal was awful and my room had no wifi service at all. I did report it and got numerous apologies but it made prep for my meeting the next morning very difficult.

Staff were so obliging and helpful. Food was excellent. Golf course look in exceptional condition. Fitness' Gym had good equipment .Parking was not an issue. Location was short drive to city center.

Male pool changing room facilities were poor - missing dispensers for soap only empty mounting brackets on wall of shower cubicle. Remaining shampoo dispenser was empty. There was no facility for removing excess water from swimming costume (no spinner) not acceptable.

A lovely night away from the rat race of life. We thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, swimming pool, sauna gym & grounds. Daisy the girl on reception was very welcoming & assertive to our needs. Breakfast staff were amazing too.

Arrived with my son after a long day of tennis tournament. They asked me for ID for a night in a local hotel and a deposit. I travel very often and I never get asked for ID at least it’s the airport, official paperwork, etc. My accent is Spanish. I believe she has mistrusted of me? The had a summer music festival tremendously loud as you can imagine for a festival til 11pm. I was there for a tennis tournament with my 10years old son after playing and driving for 14 hours. We were ready to go to bed by 8pm but literally couldn’t closed an eye until the music stopped. The day after we were awake by 6am getting ready for another day of tennis tournament without proper rest. The decoration and the restaurant and bar areas much needed an update. Not just old. Uncomfortable and not tasteful.

One of waitresses was very rude . Brought my diner and left on the table next to me like 0.5 m away from me . Why ? That’s just rude . Later my desert was forgotten so I went to chase it and I was asked to wait and grab it my self . Very unprofessional.

Lovely big room with comfortable bed, a nice bathroom and a nice view. All staff very friendly and helpful who made us feel welcome. I didn't have time to make use of the pool but the spa staff were happy for me to just go and have a quick look at it and it looked nice. The grounds surrounding the hotel looked very nice, too.

I didn't really like the breakfast, but I did have a vegetarian full English - maybe the breakfast is better for meat eaters. In the room, there was a stain on one of the bathroom towels, but other than that it was very clean.
